Chapter 8

Chloe walked into the open. It was weird seeing the streets empty. Usually Paris was busy as could be, but Chloe guessed that the akuma had driven the people to hide.

"Only I would be crazy enough to go through with this plan, but I gottaa do...to bring attention off of me" Chloe mumbled.

Pollen gave her a reassuring look from inside her bag. Chloe smiled back, and when she finally was not looking at Pollen, she found herself face to face with the akuma.

"Chloe, darling, time to share your secrets!" The akuma's shrill voice echoed. Chloe squeaked, real panic taking over her. If the akuma got her, she would be forced to spill her secrets, and she would reveal herself. Chloe dodged at couple of blast, slowly walking backwords, when she realized she was backed up against a wall.

"Shoot" She cursed, panic overtaking her. It was at that moment a yoyo came down and swung around her, yanking her out of the akuma's reach. Chloe sighed in relief as she found herself facing Ladybug and Chat Noir.

"Chloe! are you ok! you've been missing!" Ladybug asked, worry on her face. Chloe nodded, feeling nervous as Chat stared at her questioningly.

"Weird that our Queen goes and Chloe steps in" Chat remarked. Ladybug glared at him.

"Chat, don't make assumptions, she's shaking..look at the poor girl! now, you go take her to a safe place, and then come back!" Ladybug snapped. Chat's eyes widened in distress.

"My lady, I cannot leave you alone to fight the akuma!" Chat argued. Ladybug sighed.

"Chat just do as I say before the akuma comes back and finds her!" Ladybug hissed. Chat sighed, and picked Chloe up, seeming to calm down.

"Hold on" Chat warned. He then started to run across the roofs. Chloe held onto him for dear life.

It was one thing when YOU were a superhero too, and running across roofs, but when you were vulnerable, and in your civilian form, it was terrifying. Chloe barely dared to breath until they stopped. Chat lowered her down, looking concerned.

"Are you alright?" Chat asked anxiously. Chloe nodded, and took a breath. Reassured, Chat smiled at her, and left, running off to where Ladybug was.

Chloe took a deep breath, and Pollen flew out.

"Chloe, are you ready?" Pollen asked. Chloe nodded.

"Pollen, Buzz On!" Chloe repeated, feeling worry as she transformed. She felt more confident in her hero form though, and smirked as she headed off to where the akuma was.
