Chapter 39

I got up and changed into the outift I bought yesterday. I applied some make up and then put on my converses. I quickly checked my look in the mirror and headed downstairs to make breakfast. I made Jonathon some pancakes and orange juice, his favourite. I didnt really feel like eating anything so I switched on the TV. I just stared at the TV. What did the reporters want from me? Its my life!! Angrily I got up and walked to the kitchen. Jonathon was sat eating his breakfast. "Morning beautiful!" he said through a mouthfull of pancakes. "Dont talk with your mouth open Handsome" I winked. "Riddlers coming over today. And the rest of the group" He said. "I really want to see Selina again. What time?" I asked. "At four. And I have to go to work" He got up and drunk his juice, and put the dishes in the sink. "Will you be ok alone?" he said. He put on his black coat. "Yeah. You go" I pecked his nose and he went to.work. Ok, Danielle. What are we going to do? I hadnt baked anything in a while. So why not make a cake? Jonathon and I love chocolate cake. We used to make it together when we were young. I remember when he used to burn the cake everytime. And it tasted horrible. Then we would ask my mum for money and buy a chocolate cake for ourselves.

The cake was ready and neatly iced. It lay on the table along with some plates and food for the group. Jonathon would be here any moment with everyone. I was doing my hair in the bedroom upstairs when I heard the front door open and people come in. I quickly fixed my  curled hair and walked down the stairs. "DANIELLE!!!" Selina screamed. She hugged me tight. "I missed you so much!!"she squealed. "I missed you too. Love the outfit!" I.said. She was wearing a tight red dress and knee high glossy black boots with heels. She had put her hair into a bun. "Aw thanks sweetheart. Now meet everyone!" she dragged me into the room. "Hey guys!" I said. Riddler turned around to see me. "My word Dani. You've changed" he said. "people change Riddler. Still wearing the same suit?" I joked. "Its called Signature Style!" he shouted. We all started laughing. "Its nice to have you back Danielle" said Bane hugging me. "Its nice to see you all again too. So who's hungry?" I said. They all cheered and dashed for the food. It was nice to be back and see them again. But am I going to stay?
