Chapter 2

Jonathon was here a minute early. I guess I was too eager to see him at work. "Ready?" He said. I nodded in excitement. We walked to this large towering building with lots of floors. "In here" He said taking us to a lift going down. A the lowest floor the walls were a dark green colour and the floor was brown. "This is a bit dark" I said aas he lead me into a office. Suddenly bright lights came on. I looked around. Scattered books and files and loose sheets of papers were everywhere. "Sorry about the mess" he smiled at me. "It's ok" I said. Then I remembered something. "Hey Jonathon? I want to give you something" I said fishing into my jacket pocket and taking out a little box. "Here. It's for being such a great friend" I said. It was a neckace with the initias J.C+D.F I untied it and wrapped my arms around his neck to tie it on him. His piercing bue eyes starred at me. "Do you like it?" i asked once I finished putting it on him. He looked at it. "It's beautiful" He smiles. I blush. WAIT! why am I blushing? I dont like...STOP THINKING ABOUT HIM IN THAT WAY! "Well Dani, my job incudes testing things" He said reaching in a drawer. "Testing what?" I asked him. His beautiful blue eyes turned a dark greyish colour. "Jonathon? What are you doing?" I ask him. He pulls on a mask...A Scarecrow mask! He was Scarecrow???!! I screamed but he grabbed my wrist tight. "Let me go you idiot!" I kicked him. His grip hardened. "I'm sorry Dani" He said then sprayed me with some sort of toxin. I started seeing spiders crawling out his mouth and his eyes. I screamed and screamed again in fear. the Last thing i remember was a man in a black cape holding me and taking me out of there.

"She's awake" A man said. "Thanks Alfred" Said somebody else. My eyes awoke to the sight of THE batman. "W.what? How did I get here?" I said sitting up. my head hurt a bit. "Your fine, thats all you need to know" He said handing me a glass of water. I took a sip. Then I remebered everything. About Jonathon and Scarecrow and the toxin thing he sprayed on me. "Can I go home?" I said. Batman looked at me. "Are you sure?" He asks concerned. "Yes" I nodded. "Alfred, show her the way out" Then this 'Alfred' leads me to the back door. "Goodbye Miss Frost" He waves. I wave then find my way back to my house. I run inside and cry my eyes out. Why didnt Jonathon tell me anything? Thats why he was all moody whenever I mentioned Scarecrow. My phone rang. It was him. I didnt answer it, just left it ringing. I was scared to even talk to him. My phone rang again this time, I plucked up the courage to answer it.
