"Make sure everyone is safe. Children specifically, keep an eye on them at all times." I reminded everyone again. Everyone nodded.

"Okay, that is all." I said with a nod and everyone decided to go back to their respective tents.

Well, everyone but Yelena.

"Elsa these creatures that you speak of, what were they called again?" She asked.

"Fearlings." I said once more. Instead of saying something, Yelena simply nodded her head. "Are they familiar to you?" I asked.

"Quite, not exactly them but we were told about something similar." She explained.

"I see." I answered to her. "What were you told about then?"

"Similar to what you said, shadow like creatures. Only we call it redd skygge." Yelena said. "I've only ever heard of it taking children. What you told me earlier, I didn't know." She added.

"Well, I only heard about it from Jack." I admitted.

I paused. "Which reminds me." I said running to my tent and rummaging for a piece of paper and a pen.

"What is it?" I could hear Yelena ask.

"I have to write to Anna and tell her I'm here. And also tell Jack to stay there for the mean time to help out Arendelle." I explained as I wrote out what I just said.

"I see." Yelena simply replied as she watched me write swiftly. I looked around to see if the wind spirit was anywhere near me.

"Gale." I called out and a gush of wind blew my way. "Take this to Anna please." I said letting go of the paper on my hand. I watched the wind blow it away.

After a short while of watching it grow smaller by the distance I finally faced Yelena once more.

"I'll talk to the Earth Giants, inform them about the Fearlings. Don't worry, everything's going to be okay." I told Yelena with confidence.

She gave me a small nod with a smile. "I trust your words, protector." She said before heading to her tent.

I then headed my way to where the the Earth Giants were, and since it was almost night time they should be patrolling the forest around like usual.

It wasn't hard trying to spot one, all I had to do was follow the thumping sounds of heavy rock hitting the ground. Not to mention their towering height.

I found it a bit odd that Bruni was nowhere to be found. Usually he'd be beside me, practically begging for snowflakes.

I could use a little company. Specially during this time. It's dark, and cold. And to be honest, it's scary. Maybe the cold does bother me.

"Hello?" I called out to when I noticed a mountain like rock near me, hoping it's one of the Earth Giants.

I couldn't be happier when the rock moved and slowly made its way to me. I was right, it was an Earth Giant.

"Protector." The Earth Giant spoke out. I gave it a nod as it bent down, holding his hand out for me to step on it.

They don't really talk much, much like Marshmallow. I guess it's partly because they can't really control the volume of their voice and given that it's night time when they're awake they didn't really want to bother other people and animals trying to rest.

"We have a problem." I spoke up. The Earth Giant before me simply stared at me, waiting for me to continue. "The people in the Enchanted Forest are in danger, there's this thing called fearlings that turn children into on of them. I don't know how it happens but what I do know is that we must prevent that from happening." I said.

"Can you help me?" I asked.

Without hesitation the Earth Giant nodded.

"Inform the others please." I said as he set me down.

"Okay." The Earth Giant finally spoke up before heading the other way.

All I could really do was watch as the Earth Giant set out and inform the other Earth Giants in the forest.

I felt a gush of wind behind me, making me shiver a bit. That's odd.

I looked around, trying to find if someone was there. It can't be Gale, I know he can be anywhere anytime but the wind that blew just now didn't exactly feel right.

It felt a bit too cold which doesn't makes sense to me.

"Calm down Elsa. It's just the wind." I told myself.

Then a shadow went past me. Or at least I think it was a shadow. Or maybe I'm hallucinating. It is getting late. I wasn't able to eat well. It can play tricks on my mind.

I decided to head back to the tents. On my way, I decided to make a small fence-like barrier around us using ice. I could make a full on barrier but I'm afraid it might get a bit too cold for the Northuldrans.

I looked around before entering my tent. Seeing that everyone was indeed inside their respective tents made me think for a bit.

I told them I'd take care of it. I can't risk this peace, we don't really know when the Fearlings will show up. It's not safe like in Arendelle where the people are kept safe inside the castle walls.

I sighed and went to the place where our campfire was usually set up. Of course the campfire was almost out at this point, knowing that it was only left out to keep the place warm for the time being.

Seeing the flame reminded me when I was being accompanied by Bruni, where is he anyway?

My mind then drifted to various possible whereabouts of Bruni, most of which were random rocks and piles of snow.

Then there it was again. The shadow, this this it seemed bigger. Perhaps it was because of the fire. But knowing that there are shadow like creatures lurking around here isn't making me feel any better.

Why am I being like this now? I feel bad because there are people counting on me to face on those, and here I am being afraid of a mere shadow without even knowing if those shadows are Fearlings or not.

"Elsa." I instantly stood up and created a stance.

It was too dark, and the fact that I accidentally froze the wood and killed the fire didn't make it much brighter.

My eyes were still trying to adjust at the sudden change of brightness, or should I say darkness?

"Woah, it's just me." A familiar voice said.

That's when I started noticing other details, like the silhouette of a g-shaped end of a staff and his messy hair.

"It's just me." He repeated.

I felt my body feel a bit weak, like my legs turned into jelly when a gush of relief washed over me.

"I was so worried." Jack ran up to me and gave me a short hug. He immediately let go and took a small step back. "Sorry, I got too... excited." He laughed awkwardly.

I gave him a weak smile, pulling him in for another hug. "No, actually I needed that." I said, my voice almost cracking because of how low it was.

I could feel his hesitate to put his arm around me so I pulled away. Maybe that was a bit too awkward.

I guess I got used to sudden hugs because of Anna and she usually would take so long before she'll let go. Does that even make sense?

I then cleared my throat and sat down the log I was sitting on earlier. "Uh, what brings you here?" I asked to break the silence.

"I was looking for you. You suddenly disappeared and I was so worried that something might've happened to you." Jack explained.

I pursed my lips. "Sorry, I was just in a hurry because the Nokk suddenly appeared and I felt like the Enchanted Forest was in danger and I had to go here immediately." I explained. Then I remembered the note I asked Gale to bring to Anna. I hope she saw it.

"Well..." Jack started to talk but paused. A long time. Instead of saying something he ended up sighing. "I'm just glad you're okay." He said walking over to me, sitting down right across me so he was facing me.

I smiled. "Thank you."

Why is it that suddenly I feel at ease?
