Chapter 7 | Take It Off Of Me, Daddy
19:22, 27 March 2024——————————CHAPTER 7 Take It Off Of Me, Daddy ;)——————————
It was another day off for your Aunt, and while it meant rest for her, it was the opposite to you. You'll have to go to school. That's a given, but something must've compelled you to actually get up an hour before 7, giving you enough time to get ready.
And that something was actually a someone — a certain tall, black-haired male who kept on throwing rocks at your window, annoying not only you but Kenma as well.
Your phone buzzed as you stayed seated on your bed, contemplating what to really do. Yawning, you checked the notification.

Stretching your arms and legs in a feline manner, you forced yourself to stand up, bringing your clothes that you already gathered earlier as you headed down for a shower. Along the way, you spotted Kenma inside the kitchen as he rummaged the usually empty fridge for anything to eat.
It's just always like that. No one even buys grocery. Both his parents are usually at work, and you two aren't very dependable either.
After taking a quick shower, you got out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around your wet hair, dressed in a black girdle shorts and a white sleeveless thin undershirt that you both wear beneath your school uniform. You lazily walked back to your room, yawning as your stomach grumbled.
But your sleepiness vanished as soon as you saw the familiar figure of none other than Kuroo Tetsurō, sitting on your bed with bored looking eyes — which have noticeably lit up when his gaze landed on you.
"What the hell are you doing here?!" You hissed, glaring.
"Oya?" His hazel-colored eyes widened at the sight of you, a pink tint creeping on his cheeks and the corner of his lips lifting while he kept his obvious gaze on your body.
You took off the towel around your hair and threw it to his face, at the same time cursing him as you walked to your closet and took out an un-ironed pair of uniform. "Pervert." You muttered.
"Heh, I don't feel sorry at all." He joked, standing up with your towel in his hands. "And you're seriously going to wear it like that?" He pointed at your uniform that you were starting to button up. It had obvious wrinkles that wouldn't go unnoticed by anyone, though atleast it smelled of fabric conditioner.
"I'm going to sleep on it anyway, what's the point of ironing?" You replied, rolling your eyes.
Kuroo sighed, shaking his head disapprovingly. "That won't do. Take it off, I'll iron it."
"What are you, my dad?" You snickered, turning around to face him as you placed your hands on your hips in a sassy manner.
"Well I wouldn't mind if you call me daddy." The volleyball captain winked playfully and smirked.
Your forehead creased as you gave him a disgusted face, annoyance obvious in your features. "Ah, really? Then take it off me, daddy!" You deadpanned.
Kuroo grinned evilly, taking a step forward and trapping you between him and your closet as he leaned towards your ear. "As you wish, baby."
Your heartbeat quickened and your face flushed, the hair all over your body suddenly standing as shivers were sent down your spine. You knew he was fooling you, but you can't help but gulp down and feel nervous from the closeness. "F-Fuck you!" You weakly cussed.
Kuroo stood back, laughing out loud without a care if people would get disturbed. He placed a hand on your head, patting you with a teasing expression. "I won." He exclaimed childishly.
You gritted your teeth and hissed before turning your back on him. Your heart was still beating rapidly, and the blush was still printed on your face. You actually felt excited at that moment, and you couldn't deny that in yourself. He's freaking hot, after all.
You could still hear him laughing goofily, as well as Kenma entering the room and asking what happened. Ignoring both of them, you continued to get dressed with your creased uniform.
"Hey, (Y/N), are you angry?"
'Ignore him.' You convinced yourself, sitting down on your bed and avoiding his gaze as you put on your socks.
"You're ignoring me?" His face appeared beside you, and you quickly turned the other way, biting your lower lip to suppress your smile.
"Kenma, your cousin's ignoring me."
"What did you do this time?" The blonde sighed.
You yanked your towel from his hand without looking at him, but he was faster to pull it back and force you to meet his gaze.
"G-Give it to me!" You tried to keep an annoyed expression, but your smile wouldn't stop from showing.
"Let me!" He argued and grinned, then pulling you to sit on your bed. He sat down first, and so you were actually sitting between his legs with your back facing him.
You were about to say something when you felt him patting your hair with your towel, increasing your heartbeat's pace once more.
Kuroo gently dried your hair, a satisfied smile on his face as he did so. Maybe it was his favorite part of you, or maybe he just loved doing something for you. Whichever was the reason, he just wanted to do it and stay close.
Meanwhile, Kenma ignored you two with a sigh as he got dressed. He's gotten pretty used to seeing you two together, and is happy for it although he's unsure of your relationship. Anything was fine as long as his bestfriend was happy, and although you two weren't very close during your childhood, he started getting comfortable and open to you too.
After Kuroo finished pat-drying your long (H/C) hair, he proceeded on brushing it. You didn't say anything the whole time, letting him do what he was doing that you also quite enjoyed.
"You better not think of braiding my hair, Kuroo! I don't want to feel too exposed."
He chuckled, "Fine, fine." He was quiet for a moment, and you realized it was because he was thinking of what to say when you heard him whisper towards your ear. "I want you to be exposed to only me, anyway." He added suggestively, making you hit his stomach with your elbow.
"I swear, if you make another one of those jokes I'm cutting off ties with you!" You groaned, and he laughed in response.
It was your own little world; you being so close to his chest as him gently brushing your hair, the feeling of his hands switching from your head to your shoulder, the sound of his laughter close to your ear. It all made you feel bubbly, and you understand well what those feelings meant.
"Uhm,"
The bubble in your world metaphorically popped as Kenma's voice penetrated, catching both of your attentions. He stood by the doorway, slouching down a bit with his phone between his hands. "We're going to be late, if you don't mind."
"Oh, right." You replied awkwardly, standing up from your bed before turning to Kuroo who obviously grumbled for a second before nodding with a warm smile. "Right, let's go." He placed your hair brush back in your drawer as he stood up.
"I suddenly feel like I should be apologizing." Kenma mumbled, sighing as you three left the room.
Walking towards school, the two had exchanged a conversation about volleyball, and you were walking ahead of them. It was the first time you were walking to school with them — since you don't really go to school — and it felt oddly great.
"Oh yeah, so (Y/N), you should come!" Kuroo's voice snapped you out of your short trance.
"Where? No."
The black-haired male accompanied your pace, now walking next to you. He bent a little sideways, facing you. "Just for once! Please?"
He was giving a pleading look, and you felt guilty not knowing what he was asking about that you declined to without knowing. "You know I hate going out."
"Yeah, but it'll be fun! You'll meet players from other schools too and maybe help out the other managers."
You frowned, slowly realizing what he was talking about: volleyball practice. "Meeting other people makes it worse, you know?"
"Just focus on me, then." He winked, and you groaned in response.
To be honest with yourself, your building feelings towards him made you curious about him as well. You started wanting to know him better and see him in his different versions. You've been thinking how he looks when he's playing too, although your love for your bed and anime was still much stronger.
"I told you, I don't know anything about volleyball." You said. "Besides, I still have to complete my—" You cut yourself off, your eyes widening in realization.
You were currently working on a doujinshi, your first one. And of course, it centers with a lot of boys with the genre of BL. You smirked to yourself, giving off a creepy vibe to the two. "Alright—"
"Nice!" Kuroo exclaimed cheerfully.
"—but," You continued. "You'll need to give me permission to draw you guys as reference."
"Draw us? Sure, is that it?" He grinned excitedly, unaware of your true plans.
"So when is it?"
"The weekend after exam week, and it'll be held at Fukurodani."
"Where the hell is that..." You mumbled.
You all arrived at school, separating with Kenma who was a second year. Just when you were about to wander off somewhere, Kuroo pulled you back and tugged you along to the classroom, garnering a few attentions. If he were someone else, you'd be pissed off and run off. But it was Kuroo, and he was becoming an exception.
Yaku, the libero of Nekoma's volleyball team was surprised to see you, making you confused when you couldn't really recognize him. Though he was more surprised seeing you and Kuroo being close.
Each time a period ends, Kuroo makes sure to keep you from going out of the class to skip. You argued and grumbled, but you surprisingly let him force you to stay. Even during break period, he made sure that you ate knowing you didn't have anything before leaving your house. You weren't let free until all classes were finally over. All the people in your class were surprised to see you, as well as confused with Kuroo's actions. And as much as he wanted to invite you to watch their practice, he decided to let you rest at home not after his team seeing you two and officially meeting you as Kenma's cousin.
And assumed to be Kuroo's "girl", comically breaking Yamamoto's heart.
