~The journey begins~XIV

The two trotted out of the gate and set off for their ride to Xerxes. Roy in front and Ed behind.

"So Mustang." Edward said seriously.

"Ya, what is it?"

"When we get there, will there be food and more water?" Edward said with drool escaping from his mouth.

Roy looked back at Ed sighing."Of course there will be remember, Hughes will be there to give us supplies." The colonel replied.

Ed frowned. "But that will take aaagggeess." The blond groaned.

Roy stopped, making Ed stop aswell."Colonel? what's wrong?" Ed said slightly worried.

"Nothing." Roy said getting off his horse.

"Gimme your pocket watch." He said holding out a hand as he approached The small boy.

Ed flinched back, grasping his silver jewel firmly in his hands. "No way, bastard!"

"Ed just give it to me please." Roy sighed, snatching it from the teen's hands.

"H-hey don't open it!" Ed pointed at him.

Roy shrugged, ignoring the younger male's request, opening the pocket watch.

There was nothing Ed could do now. So he just sat on his pony, staring at the ground looking a little depressed.

Roy saw the engraving. "Huh? A date? Don't forget??"

The raven looked up at Ed. He was about to say 'what does this mean?' But looked at Fullmetal who was shedding tears down his face and sniffling softly.

"Y-you bas...tard..." He said sniffling and in between light moans, wiping tears from his face onto his sleeve.

"Ed...." He reached out a hand to the blond's hair, attempting to soothe him.

Edward smacked away his hand, commanded the pony to go and left Roy behind who still had his pocket watch.

Roy sat under a tree and examined the pocket watch in his hand. He opened it to study the engravement once more as he watched Ed gallop into the distance.

'What does this mean to him?' Roy thought. 'The 3rd of October, huh?' 'Well that was only about a week and a half ago..' 'Let's see, Edward joined the millitary 3 weeks ago. 'It couldn't be something got to do with his tragic past, could it?' The raven haired man pondered.

Ed was now a long way away from where Mustang was. He wasn't crying as much and his common sense came into mind. 'Ive gone far enough, I should probably go back and tell Roy all about it...' The blond sighed as if he were to give up on what he was hiding from the colonel.

Ed and his pony trotted back to where he thought Roy would be, but the taller one was nowhere to be found. "Well this is just great.." Edward growled to himself, wearing a mix of irritation, angst and tiredness on his face.

Ed was getting worried now. 'Are we lost?' 'I really hope that we aren't lost...' The younger male sighed.

About two hours had passed and Ed had almost given up. He was down to the last drop of his water supply, the pony was in need of water to go on, and the heat was getting to the 13 year old.

Ed jumped off of the pony, only to land flat on his face, as it was too hot for the alchemist to endure stability.

The blond managed to crawl himself over to a nice rocky boulder facing away from the sun, only to rest up against it and try to cool off his automail that felt like it was going to melt into his already scarred skin. "Aahhhhh......" The blond sighed in relief.

"Eeeedd, where arree yooouuu....." The raven haired man called out who was also trotting with his horse on the search for Edward Elric.

"Dammit." The colonel said angrily at himself. "Why did I have to upset him like that!""I just had to ask about what was in the pocket watch didn't I?" The man then rubbed his head, not only to wipe off sweat due to the hot weather, but also because he was thinking too hard and getting upset with those thoughts. "I'm such a fool." The raven sighed as he rode off into the distance, getting concerned even more about Ed's whereabouts.

"It's so hot...." Ed's lips were dry and cracked. He needed water and so did the pony.

Ed remembered that he could just use alchemy to get water from way down below where the sand was.

'Clap' Desperately, Edward transmuted water from the ground, along with some kind of well to support the water so it wouldn't fall back down. The pony went over to the water and drank most of it. Which wasn't a problem for Ed, because he just transmuted more.

He made the well big enough for he himself to fit in there to cool down.

Meanwhile, Roy searched and searched, but the blond was gone. After Another two hours, Mustang gave up searching and saw a rather large boulder.

He got off his horse and walked around the other side only to find a completely naked blond with his hair down and eyes closed, relaxing in a well of fresh cold water and a pony beside him.

Roy blushed at the sight and pretended he saw nothing. He sat up against the boulder, facing the other way from the blond who was obviously Edward. and rested his eyes, only wishing he could transmute water from the ground like Ed had just done.

Roy felt his face heat up more when he heard sweet moans coming from Fullmetal. He also heard splashing.

Edward wasn't moaning, he was just relaxed and content but Roy being a huge pervert, thought the teen was up to something else.

Ed felt so relaxed and relieved, he just wanted to stay in his well of pretty much unlimited water. the pony seemed to unknowingly agree as well.

Ed slowly opened his golden eyes, only to meet with a crouched down figure a few meters away.

Ed soon realised it was Roy and sighed irritably. "Uugh I really do NOT want to deal with you, Roy Mustang." The blond crossed his arms and turned the other way, facing the opposite direction of where Roy was sitting.

There was peaceful silence until the 13 year old stood up being completely exposed.

'Attempting' to be a 'gentleman', The ravenette turned away, letting Edward get dressed.

A few minutes later, Edward was dressed and the sun was setting. The temperature dropped too.

"Chilly isn't it." Roy stated, grabbing two thermal blankets from one of the bags that rested on the horse's back.

He wrapped one around his shoulders and pulled at it around his front, making it cosy.

All of a sudden Ed got up from a rock he was sitting on and walked over to nowhere really, but just away from Mustang.

Ed came back after peeing and sat down where he was before.

"You cold, Fullmetal?" Roy said, handing the boy a blanket, wearing a now more seductive? smile/smirk.

"I am, but I can't see a thing. You know, how it's dark and all."

An Idea popped into Roy's head almost instantly.

He rummaged around in his pockets to find an ignition glove >:3 , put it on and snapped his fingers to light a campfire.

FWOOSH went the fire.

"Pretty smooth, Mustang." Ed replied to the raven's latest action.

Roy nodded at Ed but couldn't help notice how beautiful the teen's eyes were as they gleamed from the campfire's flamboyant light.

Ed was in a daze, staring at the fire as sorrowful past memories smashed into his brain.

Ed heard plastic moving about when Roy said, "Marshmallows?"

"Ed had a huge grin on his face and immediately said yes.

The two huddled up after a while of roasting the soft, gooey edible sponge and stared into each other's eyes. Ed's gold ones and Roy's jet black ones.

The more Ed stared into the older man's orbs, he wondered why they were so black. I mean, did Roy even have irises? Or were they deformed large pupils instead?? He even looked a bit Xingese...

Ed wore a cute puzzled look on his child like face, staring up at Roy. His eyes still breathing in the fire's reflection.

"Roy noticed a bit of marshmallow on the side of Edward's lower cheek. Roy leaned in and licked it off, earning a surprised but happy-where-this-was-going kind of face from the blond.

Ed kissed back Roy, heavily and wet. The man tasted of strawberry marshmallows. Which Ed liked.

"Mmh...Roy..." The teen whimpered softly as he wrapped his arms around the adult's neck and went deeper into the mouth contact with Mustang, leaning in more forward.

Their mouths filled up with saliva and heat, causing a trail of wet to run down both Edward and Roy's jaw.

Their tongues twirled around. Roy was enthusiastic, but Ed wasn't very good at it, so he pulledAway, breaking the string of saliva connecting each of the male's mouths.

They sat there in awkwardness.

The two had been through a lot today, so they decided to go to sleep.
