We ran through the streets as snow fell above. I pulled Cody inside and led him through the house.

My parents looked shocked at first until their faces softened. "Hey Cody! What's up little man?" My Dad asked brightly.

I cringed at this but Cody seemed as happy as ever and he giggled, still clutching my arm.

My Mom had one of them 'I knew it' faces on but I just brushed it off. "Cody doesn't have anywhere to stay, his Mom is an alcoholic and his Dad is out of town," I stated bluntly.

"Oh you poor baby!" My Mom swept him up into her arms almost suffocating him.

"Your going to kill him!" I rolled my eyes as she pulled away. She sat Cody down on the sofa and handed him a blanket. He looked so cute wrapped up warm as he snuggled up closer to the blanket.

"Where will he stay?" My older sister Priya asked winking at me.

"Uhhh.." my Dad just looked confused but my Mom knew that look from anywhere. "He can have one of the spare rooms," she stated narrowing her eyes at me. Ugh parents.

CODY POV

I felt so at home the next few weeks with Noah and his family, we still hadn't told them we were a thing but that didn't stop his siblings constantly asking, it was cute to be honest.

I was sat in my room watching a movie as Noah walked in looking a bit taken aback. "What's wrongg?" I said opening my arms out for him.

He gratefully took the opportunity and sat next to me with my arms wrapped around him. "Should we tell them?" He blurted out in a distressed manner.

He knew I didn't care so why was he so scared?

"I don't mind!" I said cheerfully but Noah was now pale. "You can tell me anything.." I added expectantly.

"You know the two twins? I may have taken something I shouldn't have and now they are threatening to tell Mom.

"So? How do they even know?" I narrowed my eyes a bit like his Mom.

"They don't, just will take any opportunity to humiliate me." Noah sighed but I just laughed.

"Come on then!" I grabbed his arm and pulled him downstairs with me, this would be fun I thought.

The twins had gathered the whole family already and the living room was filled with noise and a few "shhh!!" As they entered. Noah looked unwell.

NOAH POV

"I- uh me and Cody wanted to tell you something and I mean I know you all don't really care but I wanted to get this out," I said this staring lasers into the twins eyes as they giggled.

"We are together," Cody butted in smiling that gapped toothed smile. I still couldn't get over how cute it is - as you can tell.

Everyone was cheering and smiling as I was red at this point. My Mom pulled us into a hug - crying of course and my Dad patted me on the back. Luckily he was one of them "I support you," Dads instead of wanting me to be some big strong jock.

My Mom was babbling some nonsense and even Cody looked happy. I took a glance around the room at everyone as Priya nodded at me smirking, even she knew-?

The twins were jumping on the sofa and everyone else was just overall happy for them, some making kissing noises but I didn't care.

CODY POV

I really didn't expect this reaction as my Mom would have probably thrown something at me screaming and my Dad would sign me up for some military camp or something.

Very supportive, I know.

The lack of communication from them these past weeks suggest they don't care, I mean they don't have to spend much money? It still hurt badly, Noah's family was so nice and I loved every minute with them. I finally felt at peace.

Of course this had to be ruined when we arrived at school the next day. Noah insisted on holding my hand which was a surprise even for me.

People were glaring at us or fangirling over us as we walked in, which was honestly quite amusing.

Duncan jeered but some girl named Sierra punched him in the face as she saw this, cooing over me and Noah with her two friends. I didn't even know the girl but I could thank her for that one.

Me and Noah split up to go to our classes and I grabbed Sierra and pulled her aside. "Thanks for doing that for me," I said my voice shaking a bit.

She smiled and stated "I used to like you but realised you had a thing for Noah, it was so cute I just left you two be, I hated seeing that look on Duncan's face."

At least I had someone to protect me from Duncan.

She added, "If you ever need me I'll gladly beat him up again, he's so short even I tower over him." I laughed knowing I was ridiculously shorter than Duncan by around 3 inches but I didn't say anything, she was sweet.

She excused herself and walked into her class giggling with her friends, I ran to science as the bell rang. Just in time.

I sighed as I sat next to Duncan, the only seat left obviously. I was trying to work when I felt a tapping on my shoulder.

Duncan turned to be laughing and said "What are you doing with that little fairy? Holding hands? Ew your honestly disgusting."

Tears pricked in my eyes as I heard that but some girl turned around and glared at Duncan, "who gave you the right to speak? At least Cody and Noah have friends unlike you, bitch." I laughed, almost falling off my chair at Duncan's face of horror.

He scoffed and turned back to his work. Surprising I expected him to be working at 7/11 in 5 years time instead of actually doing school work.

Class ended and I met everyone at the cafeteria, I loved sitting with them all. Owen's eating while laughing about something, Eva trying to talk to Izzy while Izzy just rambles on, Noah's rolling of his eyes at every inconvenience. All of this was something I could get used to.

It's crazy how this all started with one letter.
