"I'm going to go meet up with Nora and Eric today, she invited me ovr again," I informed Joe.

"Okay, I think Caspar and I are going out for a bit, you're more than welcome to join us whenever," Joe shrugged as he gave me a small kiss.

"Oh, okay, thanks," I nodded as I got ready to leave his flat.

"Minx, are you okay?"

"No, yeah, I'm fine," I nodded, giving him a small smile.

I grabbed my bag and went back to my flat to get showered and changed.

I'm excited to see Nora again. I don't know why, but more recently we've become close again.

Anyway, I got into the warm shower and washed my hair and whatever smeared make-up left from last night. After drying my hair, I put it in crown braid leading to a pony-tail.

Considering it's getting quite cold outside again, I put on a jumper and a jacket with my skinny jeans and boots. Once content with my outfit, I got my keys and bag and went down to meet up with Nora and Eric at Nora's place.

"Minx!" Nora smiled giving me a hug.

"Hi! How are you?" She smiled.

"Good, yeah. How about you?" I smiled.

"Exhausted," Nora laughed lightly, rubbing her stomach.

"Aw," I smiled sympathetically.

"Hi Minx," Eric smiled as he entered the room.

"Hello!" I grinned.

"Alright, we've just dropped a glass in the kitchen and realised I don't have a broom, so I'll be right back!" Nora said, grabbing her bag.

"Do you want me to go get it? Or come with you?" I quickly offered.

"Oh no! Relax! I'll be really quick!" Nora smiled as she ran out of the door.

Nora left to go get a broom. I glanced in the kitchen and saw the glass on the floor.

"So how are you and Joe?" Eric asked, sitting next to me on the sofa.

"We're alright," I nodded, giving him a smile, "Are you excited for the baby?"

"Yeah, well, it was definitely unexpected, but yeah," Eric nodded.

"Yeah, I had that scare earlier in the year, but thankfully it was just a scare," I explained.

"Oh yeah?" Eric nodded.

"Yeah," I smiled.

"How long have you and Nora known each other?"

"Oh God. Hm, maybe 5 years? 4 years?" I shrugged.

"Oh wow!"

Eric put his arm on the back of the sofa, almost as if putting his arm around me. He then rested his hand on my other shoulder.

I didn't want to question it to make it awkward. Eric kept talking and was telling me some stories, making me laugh.

"You have a gorgeous smile," Eric complimented.

"Thank you," I blushed.

I don't know what was going on in my mind or why I let it happen, but the next thing I knew, Eric tilted my chin towards him and gave me a kiss. I didn't resist or refuse, in fact, I kissed him back.

"F.uck," I muttered as Eric broke the kiss.

"I'm sorry," Eric apologized.

"No, it's just, Nora's my best friend, and... I'm engaged," I huffed.

"Well, it will be our little secret. I feel bad, but I'm not going to lie, I kinda liked it," Eric awkwardly laughed.

I nodded in agreement.

"But we can't tell anyone, yeah?" Eric nodded, caressing my cheek.

"Yeah," I softly smiled.

A pang of guilt hit me, like a punch in the stomach. Joe would never do this to me.

"Don't think about Joe. I can tell you are. Don't worry about it," Eric smiled, attempting to comforting me.

"I know."

Eric gave me another small kiss and softly ran his hand up and down my arm.

As I heard the door open, I scooted away from him on the sofa.

"I'm back! Eric, do you mind sweeping it up for me?" Nora asked sweetly.

"Sure," He nodded, giving me a small wink as he got up.

He went through and swept it up as Nora came and sat down next to me on the sofa.

"Alright!" Nora smiled.

We chatted for a while, but to honest, I was distracted by what had just happened between Eric and I. Obviously, I feel guilty, but for some unknown reason, at the same time, I liked it. No. I can't. I'm angry at myself for even letting him, but then I keep trying to justify it in my mind.

"Are you okay?" Nora asked, stopping her story she was telling me.

"Yeah! I'm listening, go on!" I lied.

I hadn't heard anything she's been saying.

Why did I do that? Yeah, Eric is really attractive and sweet, but he's Nora's boyfriend and the father of their expectant baby. Not only that, but I'm f.ucking engaged, to Joe. Come to think of it, I don't think I did it because I like Eric, but I think because it's risky and dangerous and that's what appealed to me. I don't know?

We hung out for a bit longer but I didn't stay too long, because my mind was clouded with my thoughts. Right before I left, Nora excused herself to the toilet and Eric wasted no time.

"Here's my number," He said, taking my phone and typing it in. He then sent a quick text to himself on my phone, so he would have my number.

"Eric, I don't think this-"

"Okay, I'll text you, yeah?" Nora smiled as she came out of the restroom, interrupting what I was saying to Eric.

"Yeah!" I nodded.

Nora walked me out and I got in my car and drove back to my flat.

Upon arriving to my flat, my phone buzzed.

"I want to meet up with you alone, so we can talk, yeah?"

It was from Eric.

I think meeting up would be a good idea, because I am confused. This isn't a good idea and I am already full of regret.

"Yeah. We can meet at my flat, whenever," I replied quickly.

"In an hour?"

"Okay."

"Eric, I don't think this is good. You have Nora, and I have Joe," I explained as Eric sat down on my sofa.

"But no one ever has to know. As long as we never tell anyone, this can work. No feelings or emotions."

"But Joe," I said, shaking my head.

"He doesn't know how good he has it. He left you for a weekend to work on lame YouTube. I'm not saying for you to leave him, but I definitely think we should have something on the side. Nora's pregnant and doesn't want to f.uck as often."

"Eric!"

"It's true. But, we'll be really careful."

"I don't know," I shook my head.

"Live a little," He smiled, leaning in to give me another kiss, "Nothing bad could come of this."

"Except Joe and Nora finding out."

"But how could that happen? Unless one of us tells someone or spills it, no one can find out," Eric grinned.

"I'll think about it," I shrugged.

"That's the problem, don't think about it," Eric smirked.
