Chapter eighteen

June 10th, 2020Jacksonville, Florida

"whatchu mean you opening another money mania!?" some of the dancers yelled as harmony stood on the stage.

"aye shut the fuck up while i'm talkin g." harmony spat mugging them.

"whoeva wanna move to da new club in louisiana will be offered housing. the fee is a $900 down payment and $350 month anything y'all bitches break or fuck up you gon pay fa it. yall not leaving my shit nasty." harmony spoke into the mic causing someone to raise their hand.

"what hennessy?" harmony asked looking at her with a straight face.

"how many girls can go?" she asked causing harmony to shrug her shoulders.

"i'm only bringing 10 bitches with me, it's 25 of yall. first come first serve. the club almost finished being renovated so we'a be leaving hea in bout a month" harmony shrugged before answering the phone for jojo.

"wassup li folks" she answered stepping away from the microphone.

"nun you busy? i need ta open a bank account" jojo said causing harmony to smile before turning around hearing the dancers getting loud.

"shut da fuck up! disrespectful ass bitches y'all see me on da phone folks!" harmony yelled throwing the microphone at them, she didnt care who it hit.

"yea what time you wanna do it li money?" harmony asked before rolling her eyes seeing harlem standing up.

"shi today whenever you get a-" "hollon folks. what kash?" harmony asked mugging her a little.

"i got business to handle so i'm putting in my application for housing." she spoke as she walked up to the stage and handed harmony $900.

"ite go head." harmony said snatching the money from her before returning to jojo.

"ima call you when i'm headed yo way" harmony said as one of the girls brought her the mic.

"ight love ya" jojo said causing harmony to smile.

"i love you too li folks" she said before hanging up, she turned her attention back to the dancers before chuckling.

"ian accepting nomo money today since y'all bitches wanna act goofy while im talkin ta my seed." harmony shrugged walking off the stage causing the girls to get upset.

"kash dumb ass always getting favoritism!" carmelo yelled causing harlem to turn right back around.

she swiftly slid past the girls until she finally reached carmelo.

harlem punched her in the face knocking her down.

"watch yo mouth hoe" harlem mugged her as harmony grabbed her arm and pulled her to her office.

"folks you can not be doin dat inna house. you still a minor." harmony said as she mugged her.

"money i'm 18-" "these bitches in hea grown as fuck and will not hesitate to jump yo lil goofy ass. fuck is you tammat" harmony shook her head mugging harlem.

"my bad. i'm willing to do whatever to make sure my folks straight." harlem shrugged before walking out of harmony's office.

harmony shook her head gathering her stuff together before leaving her office.

"bae ima come getchu afta i leave da bank i promise" jojo said as he and harmony walked into the bank.

"okay, i love you be safe" harlem said as she walked back into her mothers hospital room.

"i love you mo, you too ma" jojo said before hanging up.

"thats yo li shordy?" harmony asked as she walked up to the counter causing jojo to laugh.

"hell yeah dats my shit" jojo chuckled as they walked up to the teller.

"hey, he'd like to open a bank account and deposit a check." harmony said causing the woman to nod as she handed him a clip board.

after they got jojo's back account set up harmony got lost in her thoughts while they deposited his check.

Flashback..

"how you knew i needed help?" harmony asked finally breaking the silence as she and dayvon sat at the table.

"i just had a feeling folks... how long he was hittin you?" dayvon asked looking in her eyes, causing her to look down at her food.

"since april" she mumbled pushing her food around the plate with her fork.

"what da-" "the day my brother died." harmony cut him off looking up from her plate.

they stared at each other intensely for a few seconds before dayvon sighed.

"i hope yeen expectin no apology folks" he shrugged looking off, only to be hit with a biscuit harmony threw at him.

"bitch i didn't ask for one. you should be begging me not to kill you folks!" harmony snapped standing up from her seat.

"shordy you needa be thanking a nigga fa killin a nigga dat was hurtin you." dayvon shrugged before dodging the plate harmony threw at him.

"you hurt me first! you killed my sister! you took my fuckin virginity knowing dat shit folks you bogus!" harmony snapped throwing her glass of orange juice at him.

"harmony stop throwin shit at me folks on o!" dayvon yelled as he stood up and made his way to her.

"fuck you! back the fuck up bro!" harmony yelled pushing dayvon back as he walked up on her.

"shordy calm down. stop yelling folks i'a take you home in a minute." dayvon said calmly as he grabbed her by her shoulders.

her eyes started to water and dayvon just sighed pulling her into a hug.

"you gon be straight ma come on." he mumbled picking her up, she wrapped her legs around his waist allowing him to carry her.

flashback over.

"ma!" jojo yelled pulling harmony out of her thoughts.

"hm?" she asked looking at him and the teller.

"she said we good ta go, you okay?" jojo asked seeing a tear sliding down her cheek.

"yeah im straight" she mumbled getting up, heading out the bank.

"aye von said he need to talk to you" jojo said as they walked out of the bank, harmony just nodded.

"fasho, don't forget that card fa emergencies lil folks." harmony said sternly as she walked to her car.

"ight i wont, ma you wanna meet my girl?" jojo asked and harmony chuckled.

"shi when?" she asked as she got in her car and rolled the window down.

"whenever you ready, i sent von yo number doe" jojo smiled before walking off while harmony mugged the back of his head.

"fuck you jojo!" she yelled as she rolled her window up and pulled off.

harmony had already moved all of her clothes to her house in louisiana. she hadn't been back in her room since that night though.

since jojo was moving out as well harmony saw the perfect opportunity to leave.

she'd been planning on moving the club to louisiana she just needed a damn good reason.

she'd let kenyatta take over in florida since she trusted him enough not to run her business into the ground.

of course she wants the best dancers with her so of course harlem would be coming.

harmony was knocked out of her thoughts by her phone ringing.

she answered and put it on speaker as she pulled up to rally's.

"aye folks you busy?" dayvon asked as he pulled up behind harmony.

"nah wassup?" she asked as she got in the line.

"lemme take you out fa lunch" dayvon said causing harmony to sigh lightly.

"i'm at-" "i know i'm behind you. pick somewhea else" dayvon cut her off causing her to chuckle.

she pulled out of the line before heading to burgerfi.

"park yo ca and get in mine when we get dea" dayvon said as he followed her.

"ite" she said before hanging up.

about 15 minutes later they were sitting in dayvons car, eating their food.

"i miss you folks.. i lowkey regret doin dat shit." dayvon admitted breaking the silence causing harmony to look over at him.

"i miss you too.. i can't forgive you for that though." harmony mumbled eating some more of her fries.

"i can't forgive you fa whatchu did eitha folks.. dem was my-" "dayvon those were my blood siblings you killed." harmony cut him off straight facing him.

"folks-" "dayvon the only family i got left is gigi. you took everything from me i should hate you.. and i do but i love you at the same time." harmony mumbled unintentionally admitting her feelings.

"i love you more ma.. i hate we did dat shit." he mumbled shaking his head imagining how unstoppable they could've been together.

"we chose our lives. we gotta live with dat shit." harmony shrugged as she stuffed another fry in her mouth.

dayvon just nodded sparking up a wood.

"you gon tell me when you leaving lil folks?" he asked breaking the silence as he passed her the wood.

"whenever my club finish getting renovated." harmony mumbled taking a drag from the wood.

"youn want me ta know whea you goin?" he asked, harmony just shook her head no as she hit the wood again.

"ian even tell scar, some of my dancers coming tho." harmony shrugged causing dayvon to sigh.

"be safe out dea.. if you need me fa anythang i'm comin on o." dayvon mumbled taking a sip from his styrofoam cup.

"you be safe whea eva you go big folks.. gimme a hug" harmony said as she got out the car.

dayvon got out as well and walked around to her before wrapping his arms around her.

"i love you." she mumbled resting her head on his stomach.

"i love you too li folks." he mumbled kissing her forehead softly as he held her tighter.
