Chapter 24: The Fairies Fight

GRAY'S POV

Natsu Dragneel is my enemy. No, we are not fighting for fun. He was out of control and uncontrollable. Gajeel said that we need to stop him, so I went and pulled him off of the mage he was attacking. Unfortunately, this cause Natsu to see them as the enemy.

Natsu growled at them, mad that he was stopped. It seemed as though he was having a stand off with us, which he was. The way he was now kind of scared me, but I kept my position with Gajeel and Erza. We weren't going to leave Natsu alone. He needed us to help him. We were his guild mates, friends, and family all wrapped up into one. How could we leave him?

I was at the back right of him, Gajeel at the back left, and Erza stood right in look in his eye wasn't settling in me. It kept me on edge, waiting for him to do something. He leant his head back, looking straight up into the sky. At that exact moment, rain started to pelt me with large drops, coming down heavily. Natsu continued to look up at the sky, not being fazed by the droplets that ran down his face. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"Cover your ears!" Gajeel shouted, covering his own. Erza and I looked confused, but did as he said, knowing that he knew what was happening. Just as I covered my ears, Natsu let out a loud, angry, animalistic roar. It sounded like a dragon. That as the first thing that came to mind. As he roared, fire came out of his mouth, straight up into the dark sky. The fire lit up the sky, making the clouds look like an orange-red. I glanced at Erza and Gajeel to see if they knew what to do, but Erza seemed amazed and Gajeel's eyes never left Natsu.

"He's unpredicatable! Don't take your eyes off of him!" Gajeel told us right after the roar ended. That was true. It's about to begin.

GAJEEL'S POV

I can't believe this is happening! How am I supposed to keep Natsu under control? He's out of control on a normal day, but his anger has control of him right now. He can't control his movements and he won't know what he's doing.

"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!"Natsu had fire around his fist as he flew at me. I covered my body with iron scales and dodged it to the best of my ability. He was moving faster than he usually does, so he hit my shoulder. His strength was doubled apparently too.

"Requip!" Erza required into an armor suited for this fight. It was the armor called Flame Empress Armor.

"Ice make: Floor!" Gray used his magic to freeze the floor. Natsu just calmly stepped onto it. The heat from his body was melting it. Steam rolled off of the ice where he stepped. "You think that'll stop me, you're wrong!" Natsu sneered, his hair covering his eyes. I could almost feel a killing intent coming off of him. "Natsu! We don't want to fight!" Erza yelled, getting into a fighting stance. "Well it seems like you do." Natsu smirked evilly, watching our moves carefully.

"Fire Dragon's Wing Attack!" Natsu yelled the attack name as he brought his arms down with fire coming off of them. The fire acted like whips and snapped at us.

" Ice Make: Shield!" Gray used his ice shield to block the attack. The fire melted the shield but it lasted long enough for the fire to die out too.

"Iron Dragon's Club!" My arm turned into an iron club and grew longer toward Natsu. Natsu gripped the end and heated up his body heat even more, causing the iron to start to steam. I pulled the club back, shaking my hand as I did. "How are we supposed to get him under control?" Erza asked as she flew at him with a sword. She swung the sword only to have Natsu flip over it and use "Fire Dragon's Roar" at her. "Requip!" She yelled and she switched her armor with Adamantine Armor. The shield came with two parts that she pushed together. A big magic circle formed that kept the fire from hitting Erza's.

"This is not going well!" Gray yelled. "Ice Make: Ice Geyser!" Ice came out of the floor, right under Natsu. He jumped backwards, avoiding the ice. "Fire Dragon's Sword Horn!" Natsu yelled as he flew right at Gray with fire covering his body. His head hit Gray's stomach and he tackled Gray, pushing him into a wall, which crumbled like the rest of the building.

"Iron Dragon's Sword!" I shouted and swung the sword that was my arm at Natsu. I got a lucky hit and it pushed Natsu away from Gray, but Natsu didn't lose his balance for long. He pivoted his foot and yelled "Fire Dragon's Flame Elbow!" His elbow came rushing toward my face. I leant back to avoid it. "Salamander! Stop!" I yelled, losing my footing and I fell to the ground. He looked down at me with cold eyes. "Why should I?" He asks. My mind raced through excuses, but one stood out in all of them.

"Lucy needs you."

NATSU'S POV

That line he just said ran through my head. For some reason, it caused me to stop feeling hate and anger, and made me feel love and happiness. Maybe that's the effect my mate's name has on me.

I looked around to see that everyone else had run away. Codin didn't even show up once, making me wonder just how much of a good master he was. He left his followers to fight me, who was probably deranged most of the time. I kept beating Will up, even once he fell. I even went one to fight my friends. The ones who stayed to help me.

I fell to my knees, still thinking about what happened. My mate was sent ahead of me because she was poisoned. The kind of poison that can't be cured by magic. I hope that she can be cured, or I'll go berserk again. I look toward the people who stayed.

Erza had a cut just above her left eye, blood dripping down her face. She managed not to get burn, but she was still wearing her Adamantine Armor, which probably kept her from getting burnt. Part of her armor was a bit cracked on her left leg. It seemed as though her left side is her weakness. I put that in the back of my mind, storing it for later.

Gray was sitting up, clutching his head. He had been smashed through a brick wall by me. That probably caused a concussion or something. Blood trickled out from his head, getting all over his hands and face. There was a small puddle of blood on the wall that I smashed him through.

Gajeel had burns all over his body, laying down on the ground. He stopped covering his body with iron scales, showing the full extent of the battle. His shoulder looked a bit out of place, maybe dislocated. Blood dripped from his nose, smearing on his clothes. He had a black eye, that was swollen shot. It seemed as though he had gotten the blunt of my attacks on the group.

I bit my lip, feeling guilty for doing this to them. "I'm... I'm sorry." I told them, holding back tears of guilt. "I.. had no control. I'm sorry." I continued. "Natsu..." Erza sad, trailing off. I glanced at her, to find her smiling. "You're back." She said, holding her arm a bit.

I stared at her in silence, wondering how she can still talk to me. I nod, saying "Yes, I'm back." Gray chuckled, causing me to look over at him. "Glad you're back, Flame-brain!" He said, smirking at me. It got me irritated, but I didn't attack him. Instead, I gave a small smile, not being able to hide it, and said "Yeah I am, Droopy Eyes." Gajeel did his weird laugh, while sitting up. "Salamander, you have some tough punches." He told me, giving me a smirk.

I couldn't contain my smile anymore. I gave all of them my toothy grin. It was childish, goofy, and happy. "Thanks guys." I tell them, happy that they stood by me. "No problem. Just don't ever do that again!" Erza commanded, sitting down on a rock.

I nod, grinning. "Let's go see Luce!" I shouted, jumping up and down in excitement. "In a minute. Let us rest." Gajeel told me, leaning back onto his hands. He looked up at the sky. "The clouds are still red." He remarked, causing all of us to look up.

I flinched, knowing what it was from. "It'll go back soon." Erza said smiling. They all nod. "By the way, we're not letting Codin away with this, right?" I ask. They all shake theirs heads. "We will find him." Gajeel says angrily. We sat their in silence afterwards.

"Can we go see Lucy now?" I ask, impatient.

They all laugh and stand up.

"Hey!"

ROSE'S POV

I made my way back to the clearing were the Fairy Tail mages were fighting. The mages I worked with ran away at the chance they got, but I followed. I went to take them down for Fairy Tail. They did wrong, and I feel like they should be in jail because of it. So should I.

When I got to the clearing, I found them standing, ready to take off. "Hey!" I shouted, getting them to look back. They saw me and waved. "Hey Rose! What were you up to?" Natsu asked. I smile, glad he didn't ignore me. "I was taking down my team. I felt like we did wrong and deserve some kind of punishment." I explained to them. "But you helped us." Natsu said, frowning at me. I look at him sadly, saying "That doesn't change the fact that I did it."

"Why don't you come to our guild?" Natsu asks, grinning at me. His grin was childish and had fangs pointing out. Just like my mate's. Tears formed at the corner of my eyes. "I... I couldn't." I say sadly. "Yes, you can and you will!" Erza demanded, grabbing my arm. I smile at her, tears falling. "Thanks." I mumble. I know this is her way to show care.

We started walking back to their guild. I got lost in my memories while in silence.

FLASHBACK

"Now your name?" I ask, trying to get it out of him. "It's Kazuki. It means first shine." He says. My eyes widen. That means so much to me. It makes sense to me too. He was the first to shine in my eyes, and I bet he shone first in many others. "That's a nice name." I say, yawning as I did. He smiled.

"So, your's is cool while mine's nice?" He asked in clarification. I laugh, knowing that he was asking about how we reacted to each other's names. "You're funny." I say with a smile. He grinned at me, happy that I said that. His grin was a toothy, childish grin. "Want to stay together?" He asks, right before I fell asleep. I smile and whisper "Yes." as I closed my eyes.

That was the first good night of sleep I had since my dragon left me.

PRESENT

"Rose, we're almost there." Erza warned me. I nod, looking at the places we passed. "I can't wait." I say.

WENDY'S POV

Levy just passed out! Jet called her name as he entered with Porlyusica. I ran over to her ad started to use my magic. "Be careful, child." Charla told me, worrying that I was using too much magic. My hands grew blue as I ignored the white exceed. I turn to Porlyusica and ask "Can you go help Lucy?" She nods and walks up the stairs to the infirmary.

Levy's eyes slowly opened after a few minuets. "Levy! I'm glad you're ok!" I say with a soft smile. "Thanks for helping Wendy." Levy said, smiling back. I look down and nod. "I'm glad I could help someone." I whispered. "Oh Wendy, Lu-chan will be fine!" Levy told me. Hopefully, she will be. "Porlyusica's here helping." I told her, causing her eyes to widen.

"Then what are you waiting for! Go help!" Levy yelled, pushing me toward the stairs. I nodded and ran up, determined to help somehow.

I knocked on the doors softly. "Porlyusica, can I come in?" I ask. "Only you!" Was the sharp answer I got. I sigh and gently open the door. "How is Lucy?" I ask once I closed the door. "She'll be fine as long as no one disturbs her." Porlyusica answers. She sighs and puts down the potion she was holding. She looks at me seriously. "Do you know what that means?" She asks me. I shake my head, a little afraid of what got her so serious.

"It means that Natsu Dragneel can not come in to see her." Porlyusica states simply.

Easier said then done.
