01:27, 18 February 2023It was Saturday morning. The sun was shining, the birds were singing their lovely melodies and the dorms were in chaos. Now Izuku knew his class was wild but never this wild. On weekends he would be home suffering unless it was required for them to attend for varying reasons.
It was currently 8:00a.m, Aizawa was on a stool grading papers, Todoroki and Kacchan were arguing and they were loud, while Mina and the girls were sitting on one of the couches discussing something. Jirou was playing music on a speaker, Sero was just lying with his back on the floor and his legs on the couch, meanwhile Koda was sitting outside but you could see him clearly from the window. Kiri was talking about manliness super loudly as if giving a speach, Shoji and Tokoyami were in a dark corner speaking some other language, and Kami was sticking a fork into an electric socket.
Wait.
KAMI'S STICKING A FORK INTO AN ELECTRIC SOCKET!!!
"KAMINARI!" Izuku yelled.
"Don't worry Midoriya I have an electricity quirk so I'll be fi-"
And he screamed as the electricity ran through his body.
Long story short he was fine but just shocked that it still electrocuted him.
Now Kaminari was seated on the couch closest to Aizawa as the man looked to him from time to time. Izuku feels bad for him as he also had to take care of 19 other kids with the same or more of a reckless tendency. That leads to why he was relieved when All-might, Mic, and Midnight showed up to help out.
His relief was short lived as he realized what this meant. He hadn't even had time to stretch yet as the All-might pulled him away and Midnight got Kacchan as well as Mic who was apparently in the kitchen. Aizawa went too after giving Denki a long concentrated glare.
"It's your choice as to whether or not they will be there to watch."
Izuku thought long and hard. Before looking towards Katsuki, the blond was wearing on of his largest, most determined, maniacal grins. Every moment Izuku stared at the malevolent grin his own morphed into one of pure evil. Of course the teachers knew what this meant but just to confirm.
"So what do you say little listeners?" Mic asked them.
"No." They both said in an overly-cheerful voice.
"What? Why not?" Mic asked slightly confused.
"We have a better idea but it'll take time." Izuku said softly, "So should we go change now or after breakfast."
"Now would be preferable, Mic has patrol after breakfast." Aizawa stated as he began walking away, "Meet us at Ground Beta."
"Ok." Izuku said before pulling Katsuki by his collar to drag him into his own dorm room.
Izuku basically threw Kacchan inside before quickly making his way in. He may or may not have attacked his friend with a flying hero costume but that's irrelevant. Izuku may or may not have changed right there in front of Katsuki but that's also irrelevant.
"Kacchan." Izuku called as he tried to fix the new utility belt he had modeled after Aizawa's.
"Yeah?" Katsuki answered immediately sensing the urgency in the boy's tone.
"You think Nezu will be monitoring us?"
Katsuki paused then asked, "Why? You want some attention from him?"
"Kacchan." He said in a soft but no-nonsense voice.
"Yeah he probably is and even if he isn't he still has easy access to the footage."
"I see."
"Of course you fucking see you ain't blind."
That pulled a small smile on to Izuku's features as they had both finished adjusting their costumes. They quickly and quietly crept onto the roof and jumped on top of the other dorms till they reached the one closest to their destination and climbed down the side ladder.
Using their quirks to add speed as they jumped along helped warm up their bodies. They soon arrived at their destination and were put at one end of the area while Mic and Eraser were hidden somewhere with in the place. The assignment was to attempt to detain the two.
It was a training city. The ones who remind you that UA is filthy rich. Not everyone can afford such a large school. They both decided to take to the roofs as they did to arrive here. Katsuki's quirk was a no go as it would probably alert them.
They had ran around in a circle for a good minute before Izuku looked at Katsuki and nodded. He took out a grenade and dropped it on the floor causing Aizawa to appear out of the shadows with his quirk active having expected to see Bakugou there. He wasn't even confused nand immediately began to search.
Katsuki was about to go out and fight him but Izuku stopped him. The boy looked down in confusion causing Izuku to put his pointer and middle fingers against his thumb. There was no reason to leave their hiding spot. They had Air Force.
Quietly whispering the name of his 30% shot he fired it right at Aizawa. The hero turned to their direction seeming to have heard the swish of the air only for his eyes to be forced shut as the hit pushed him into the cement wall.
Not giving the pain any thoughts his quirk was instantly active and One For All was out. He stopped Katsuki and jumped out of his hiding spot aiming a kick for Aizawa's stomach. Izuku may have a powerful quirk but all it does is back up his physical strength. Without it he may not be just as strong but don't estimate that he's weak.
Aizawa quickly dodged and grabbed him by his rabbit mask yanking him back and throwing over his head to land on his back. Izuku is quick to react and tries to pull one of Aizawa's legs. He fails in making Aizawa fall but succeeds in distracting the man long enough for Bakugou to let out an explosion.
The heat, force, and sound of the explosion had Eraser wincing, releasing Midoriya's quirk from his hold. Not even a minute later Katsuki is wrapped up tight in the binding cloth. Midoriya runs behind him to protect his own quirk before using it to jump high and throw another grenade at Aizawa but it's met halfway with a knife causing it to explode mid-air.
See normally they all would have been fine just a little warmed up from it. But this one was powerful and the fact it exploded right between the duo and their teacher instead of 2 feet behind him they all suffered the backlash as Izuku was thrown upwards as he had still been in the air and Eraserhead along with Bakugou were each pushed in different directions.
If it hadn't been for the knife falling and cutting the scarf perfectly at the weak point Eraserhead had left for the kids both of their necks would have been snapped into two. But it had so they were still alive. Upon being released Katsuki used another explosion to send him flying upwards.
But before he could crash down on Aizawa's ribs with all his might his trajectory was changed. He ended up crashing onto the roof above Eraser and saw what caused this. Izuku was on Present Mic's back with his headphones on while he struggled to keep the man down. Realizing there was no room for hesitance with two pro heroes here he threw three small grenades activating them with another explosion to make way for himself to jump onto Present Mic the very second he noticed Izuku had jumped off.
He had made way but he once more felt the scarf wrap around him and his body being yanked towards it's wielder. One opening, that lasted barley a few seconds, didn't go by unnoticed as he let another explosion onto Mic causing the man to fall down in pain before his quirk sizzled out.
Izuku made quick work of Mic and Eraser did of Katsuki. The two stared at each other then an idea came to Izuku. Making blackwhip come out of his back he used it to lift Mic up.
Not only did that allow Izuku to have complete control over Mic at all times, it also meant Aizawa couldn't disactivate his quirk unless he wanted Mic to fall a few feet.
"You couldn't have used that earlier Deku!" Katsuki yelled.
They had both been completely silent the whole time but for a good cause. There was another meaning to what Katsuki had said. It meant that this was entirely up to Deku. Katsuki was wearing quirk suppressants.
"That's so mean Kacchan!" He whined.
Thanks for letting me know. It meant.
"Are you two done with your chit-chat" Aizawa asked as he put Katsuki on the edge of the roof.
If Katsuki did so much as breath the wrong way he would fall. He won't die of course, but it won't be the best thing either.
"But sensei we've barely even talked since we came here!" Izuku whined as he tried to land another hit onto Aizawa.
The underground hero fashionably dodged all Izuku's hits as if he was dancing. It was as if he took it for a game. And he probably did for a while until he pulled out a knife. What the fuck man?
"Hey! You can't use that!" Bakugou protested from his spot on the roof.
"Then stop me." Aizawa said lazily.
The blond's mouth snapped shut and his face morphed into one of pure anger. The problem is Aizawa's eyes never left Izuku so Izuku didn't let his eyes leave the man either. That was his mistake.
Eraser let his scarf rise far beyond the two of them and while Izuku wanted to see what it was doing he couldn't let his guard down. Nezu likes playing chess with Aizawa for a reason. If Izuku had looked up there would have been an easy opening. Since he didn't Aizawa's scarf inched closer and closer to Mic. Katsuki was too busy watching them until he noticed it from the corner of his eye.
"DROP HIM!" He yelled and Izuku did it in a heartbeat.
He dropped Mic and tried to catch him again but his blackwhip got tangled with Eraser's scarf. Forgetting he could use another whip in his panic, Aizawa used another end of his capture weapon to grab Mic and put him besides Katsuki. By then the scarf and whip had only gotten even more tangled until black whip dissolved into thin air.
Erasure is officially annoying. But that didn't stop Izuku from going head-first into Aizawa's chest. The way he just caught his arm as if he was an upset toddler triggered Izuku's slight fury. He brought his other arm only for it to be caught the same manner.
Perfect.
He pulled his knee upwards and tried to hit Aizawa's balls. That went miserably wrong but Aizawa's confusion caused him to blink several times. So it kinda did work. Izuku quickly powered up One For All lifting both his legs and pushed them against Aizawa's ribs pushing them apart. He heard a sickening crack and he stopped. Did he break them?
Shit. He saw Aizawa's shock as well. He saw the man's hand lingering on the exact spot he hit. Izuku was frozen. His mind flashed back to that day in the forest when he showed All-Might how he could snap the tree in half. He didn't realize how dangerous that could have been. How the man himself used a single punch to change the weather. How he could smash through concrete like wet paper. Why didn't he realize how dangerous this quirk actually was.
He stood there shaking, not moving his eyes from the man before him. Mic and Katsuki were in too much shock to try and call or reassure any of them. Quirks really are powerful.
Aizawa swallowed his pain and walked towards Izuku. He lightly placed his hands on the boy's shoulders. He looked afraid. Aizawa lifted the boy's head to look him in the eye.
"You wanna call it off or should we keep going?" He asked softly.
"Can we stop?" Izuku whispered under his breath.
"Sure."
Aizawa used his scarf to get the two blonds down from the roof and released both of their cuffs. They all walked back to the school grounds and straight to Recovery Girl. Unlike the usual rants about taking care of themselves she was quiet, probably having seen the events that took place.
After that they all went their own ways. Bakugou and Izuku went back to the dorms but Izuku stayed in his dorm and didn't even come out for breakfast. By the time it was noon and no one had seen him they all began to worry. Bakugou told them to just leave him alone and that he could take care of himself before going up the elevator to Izuku's dorm.
He knocked but received no response. He knocked again and again and again. He was growing impatient. Katsuki pulled out his lovely key chain and unlocked the door. He quickly slipped in and locked it behind him before looking around the room.
It was a mess. A few All-Might posters were ripped and multiple figurines scattered around the floor a few broken. Notebooks, pencils, pens, markers and papers were everywhere. There was cotton on the floor and a torn pillow in the center of it. The room was dark as the curtains were covering the window and the lights were off but that wasn't nearly enough to prevent the utter chaos from being seen. A blanket was balled up in a corner and the bed's mattress was bare.
Izuku sat on the bed quietly with tears streaming down his face. He payed Katsuki no mind as he hugged an Eraserhead plushy with a weighted blanket over his shoulders. It was hard to miss the red and brown spots on the green blanket.
Katsuki walked up to the bed and sat down next to him. There was dried blood all over Izuku's arms matching that on the blanket.
"Izuku."
The small greenette looked up at him.
"It's not your fault."
"I know."
"It's not your fault."
"Kacchan-"
"Listen to me. It's not your fault."
"Don't do this to me Kacchan." Izuku's voice began to break.
"It's not your fault Izuku. You are not to blame."
"I-" Izuku went quiet for a moment gathering his thoughts, "I didn't think I'd hurt him so badly."
He burst into tears and Katsuki pulled him in for a hug. The boy had cried himself to sleep when Katsuki pulled the blanket off him and put it on the bed instead. He fixed the bed and placed Izuku on the bed using the discarded blanket to cover him.
He then walked into the small bathroom and soaked a small towel in water using it to wipe off the blood from the boy's arms. He bandaged the cuts before starting the clean up the room.
It wasn't a short process but all the torn and broken All-Might merch was in a bag and he had removed the rest and put them into a different bag as it was clear Izuku wasn't on the best terms with his mentor after what happened.
The pillow had been re-stuffed and everything was looking better by the time it was one. Katsuki went down stairs and pulled out a pot to begin cooking. He made two servings of Katsudon and brought it back up to the room where Izuku was just starting to wake up.
As soon as the boy's eyes fluttered open Katsuki put a bowl on the table.
"Eat."
Having just woken up and not knowing any better Izuku obeyed and ate the whole thing with in seconds shocking Katsuki who was barely half-way through his own portion.
"Done." Izuku whispered with his voice sounding worn out.
"With the sulking or the food?" Katsuki asked jokingly but with great caution.
Izuku let out a small chuckle before a soft,"Both."
Not wanting the nerd to be ahead of him too much, Katsuki inhaled his food before smirking.
"Good."
Kat's smirk soon left and was replaced by a small frown. Izuku must have noticed as he cocked his head to the side and stared for a minute before asking.
"What's wrong Kacchan."
As he said that Katsuki looked into his eyes and sighed.
"You wanna talk about this?" He asked softly.
Izuku shook his head lightly.
"Follow me." He commanded.
Izuku did as told and trailed behind Katsuki as they walked through the campus. They eventually arrived to the forest part of UA. Where Izuku was lead to the same cliff he had brought Katsuki to earlier.
"It's no sunset or sunrise and I know it's not a starlight midnight sky but that doesn't make it any less beautiful. Simply adapting to the times. Kinda like us?" He said as they sat down.
"Yeah, kinda like us."
