𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧

ALANNA'S POVSeven months later

" Johnson , Miller with me " one of the stricter officer spoke as he walked into the communal room , everyone turned around to look at us as we slowly start to get out of our seats

" look like we're on for round five then " Jamie says looking at me with a cheeky grin on his face, lets just see that we have had to get used to these meetings over the last seven months

" looks like it " I say as I get up and follow the guard out of the room.

After me and Jamie had our little altercation, well that is what I like to call it, we have no other option but to get used to eachother being around . We had too many ' mediation meetings ' for me to even count , as well as the four meeting that me and Jamie have been which had something to do with our reports for court and that was just with one of our physiologists Briony we still had another two that were taking notes on us . So let's just say that we got used to being in each others company.

The weird thing to me was that ever since me and Jamie had our fight things changed . We started to actually enjoy eachothers company rather than being forced not to hate each other,  maybe it was because we both knew what each other was going through with us both being her because of the same reason but i'm not entirely sure though . However I think Jamie's personality has changed massively in here , he's no longer that scrawny and unathletic boy who was associated with the incel movement , he is someone completely different

The once quiet , artistic boy who craved validation from his peers in school had became a boy who was emotionally vacant and disturbingly detached from the gravity of his actions . Whenever I was around him he displayed a chilling lack of remorse for what he had done to Katie which just unsettled me . I didn't really recognise the true Jamie anymore but then for some weird reason it didn't really bother me. That unsettled me just as much.

But then for some reason this dragged the pair of us closer , I learnt a lot about him in which I definitely wouldn't have if this whole ordeal didn't go down . It was strange for me not to hate the guts of Jamie Miller because I always had, it had always been me, Katie and Jade having fun taking the piss out of Jamie. But now I tolerated it or even I dare to say started to enjoy it .

BRIONY'S POV

I got buzzed through the doors of the unit , on my last vist for Jamie and Alanna which was sort of mad to think about , the fact that we had spent numerous hours among each others company and I still felt as if I didn't know anything about them. Although I did have loads of notes written down about both of them , something that they were definitely not happy with in the beginning but they just had to get used to it .

" right do you want to come through for a second " one of security asked as I came through the lift.

" sorry I'm a bit late " I apologise quietly , I was never used to being late for things so it was rather out of my comfort zone.

" that's alright , I saw you coming up on the cameras " he spoke as I walked into a room full of screens that displayed views of every inch of the entire unit, it was nice to know that nothing could go unnoticed in this place.

" erm I heard Jamie was involved in another violent incident " I say, hoping that there was some sort of footage that I could be shown as it could show me something that I didn't know about him

" how did you here that then " he asks as he takes a sip out of his tea .

" it was reported up , that would be very useful to see " I say before I get interrupted

" is that...relevant, to what you'll asses  " he asks

" I'd like to see it " I say firmly

" okay , let me just fire up the mega port " he says as he starts to fiddle around with the computer

On the screens I was watching closely at Jamie and Alanna popped up on one of them, accompanied by two guards either side of them.

" here we go " the security guard says as he starts playing the video clip on his computer .

I watched the video closely , finding it nice to put a report into reality.

" it was just a bruising and a scratching " the guard pointed out

" I read the report " I say as I point out the obvious

" both blame the other " He said , once again pointing out something that I already knew

" I know , I read the report " I say repeating myself

The clip the finishes with Jamie throwing multiple punches onto the guys face .

" okay well Jamie and Alanna are in place so I'll take you through to them " he says as he starts to get out of his seat

" I need to get two hot chocolates from the machine " I say firmly

" I remember " he says before I start to follow him out of the room

ALANNA'S POV

Me and Jamie were currently sat in one of the interview waiting for one of our phycologists Briony to come , she was secretly mine and Jamie's favourite out of the few that we have had because she always went an extra mile over.

" hi Jamie , Alanna" she said with a big smile on her face

" hi " Jamie spoke

" hey " I say quickly after Jamie

" if you need us we're here for you " the guard said before he went to leave

" yes " Briony said as she went to go have a seat

" and for you two as well " he says directing his eyeline to us

" yeah " we both reply in unison
