Chapter 14

The doctor finishes doing Doctor things and gestures me to talk outside the room."Gladly he will be fine, he has to stay in hospital for 1 week and will be on crutches for 3 months."All I can do is nod.--1 week later--Abby and I walk alongside Jeffory while he's still getting use to crutches. We get in the car."Up for Mario Kart when we get home?" Jeffory asks."Sure!" Abby saysI smile at him and he smiles back."What bout you Kate?" He says smirking."Fine, but don't be mad when I beat you!" I smirk back."We gotta stop by my house to grab some stuff seeing as I'm staying at your house for a bit." I say as I pull into my driveway. I run in grab a few things and run out. We get home and play a bit of Mario Kart. After that I help Jeffory upstairs to go to bed. He lays down and I sit beside him."Goodnight." I say."Could you maybe stay until I fall asleep?" He asks"Yeah you alright?" I say with a hint of concern."I'm still getting nightmares about the whole incident." He saysI nod sit beside him.He shuts his eyes and slowly drifts off. I end up falling asleep, beside him. Glad he's safe.
