A walk with Amethyst

Amethyst's pov

I found myself staring at Ammolite during most of the walk. I couldn't help but admire her amazing hair and how her body more than matched how she acted. She was taller than me but she wasn't as tall as pearl. If I had to guess I would say she is about 5 foot 3. Which is pretty tall to me since I'm just over 4 feet tall.

"Hey do you want to see something cool?" I asked as I looked away.

"If you want to show me," she laughed a little, "I won't be against it."

"Well," I grabbed her hand. "You'll have to be quite."

I drug her quietly threw the house to a warp pad. It wasn't until the warp pad lit up that Steven woke up and started to stay something. I brushed Steven off and we arrived at the kindergarden.

"What is this place?" Ammolite looked around and placed her softly on a nearby bolder. "It's so quiet and peaceful."

"A place like this was going to destroy Earth, but now it just sits here." I started to walk toward my hole. "It was like this when I popped out of my hole."

"Can I see your hole?" She turned to face me and her face was really red. "That sounds wrong, ummm..."

"Yes," I started I laugh, "I came from this one."

We walked over to where I came from. I couldn't help but go inside. I carefully ran my hand against the cold stone walls.

Ammolite's pov

Should I follow her or stay out here?  I looked at the hole in the wall. Does she want me to follow her? Would that be invading her personal space?

"Are you coming?" I looked in and saw Amethyst sitting against the back wall. "It won't hurt you, I promise."

"Sure," I carefully made my way back to her; I had to crouch I order to fit. "It's very..."

"Small?" She looked sad. "Yea, but it's my small hole."

"I was going to say cozy," I said as I put my hand on her shoulder. "There is nothing wrong with being small, like my parents always said big things come in small packages, or you can listen to what Greg always says if every pork chop was perfect..."

"We wouldn't have hotdogs," she finished my sentence for me, "Steven says that too."

We laughed for a little bit and shared some funny stories and some not so funny stories.

"Yea this uncle grandpa guy put our heads back on Pearl freaked out and I realized he put my head on backwards." I could help but laugh when she started laughing again, her laugh is contagious. "That guy was all kinds of bonkers."

"I think anyone named uncle grandpa would be." My stomach started to growl.

"Hungry?" She looked at me with a surprised look. "There should be something back at the temple, if you want to go back."

"I can wait I'm having fun. It's the most fun I've had in a while. Thanks."

"Did Pearl scare you?" She looked at her feet. "She did almost kill you."

"No, she was protecting Steven, right? I don't think she would trust me and I dont blame her."

"She didn't listen, Garnet told her to stop, but she chose to be stubborn and to not listen." She flicked a pebble out of the hole.

"I probably would have done the same thing." I brought my knees to my chest, " besides death wouldn't be the worse thing to happen to me."

"I've never experienced what home world is like, Pearl and Garnet said it's horrible," she seemed upset and nervous as she spoke, "I know they aren't good, but they think they are..."

"I can draw you a picture of where I stayed," I suddenly said surprising myself, "but I might not be able to stop drawing. If it comes to where my body can't stop, take what ever I'm drawing with." I started to get up. "Things might get depressing so I suggest keeping Steven away."

"Are you sure you want to? You don't have to I'm sure I'll see it one day." She seemed very concerned.

"I just don't want to scare you away. You really don't have to stop me, but I can't have a little boy lose his childhood from fear."

"I understand," she stood up, "do you need paper and a pencil?"

"That would be preferable," we left the hole and started to go to the warp pad, "can also just draw in the sand or something."

Before I knew it we were back on that couch and there was a pencil and papers in front of me. I curiously picked up the pencil and let my hand take in the feeling.

"Well, here goes nothing." I said as I put the tip of the pencil on the paper.

I closed my eyes and let my hand move as I let the memories  flooded my mind.
