Chapter 1

"So, Ms. Kim, this is your office for a while." Britney the receptionist opens a door to a small space. It's like half of her former office that right now is occupied with a handsome cocky guy she doesn't know.

She stares at the room, it's quite small and clean but she can see many boxes of her files. 'They decided to put me here next week?' She furrowed her eyebrows.

"Where's Mrs. Hopkins?" Jennie asks Britney, the receptionist is a new employee here and she has been informed that next week Ms. Jennie Ruby Jane Kim is going to work here again, putting her in a confused face because she didn't know her. That night she looked at her profile, amazed and somewhat scared. She looks at the trial in Switzerland and her accomplishment as a partner in famous law firms, Kirkland & Lewis.

Britney searched again the reason why Jennie decided to let go the law firm, she found out Jennie has been accused of making illegal binding contracts that eventually was not true. She decided to make a law firm by herself and become the ten biggest law firm in New York. After 5 years dabbling in her own company, OMNICOM Group decided to take Jennie as Director of Corporate Counsel in the Legal Department.

She also asked many employees in the legal department and all their answers were the same, she's a great lawyer that you have to be scared of. Britney feels shiver to her spine, she's new and she's afraid Jennie will scream at her anytime soon. According to legal department staff, no one can be free from her anger, everyone already experienced her madness.

When Britney saw Jennie's face when she scanned her old office, she could tell Jennie about to murder current Chief Legal Officer right away. Good thing, Jennie just examined his figure and asked her where's her office now.

"Mrs. Hopkins just arrived at her office, I just delivered a legal contract summary from last month to her." Britney replied.

"Can you clean this right now? I will give you fifteen minutes to get it done." Jennie asked Britney with her cold tone, Britney can hear her own heartbeat and feel her trembling hands. 'It's like ten big boxes in here! how can i finish it?' She thought to herself but she couldn't decline Jennie's order so she just nodded.

Jennie gets out of her office and goes straight to the elevator. When she walks, she passes by her old office and can see through the glass window that golden blonde wavy hair and light golden skin guy stare at his laptop while his fingers on his chin like he's thinking through something.

Jennie admits his choice of outfit is good, he's wearing a gray striped suit with dark gray shirt matching up with a vest and light gray satin neck tie. She smirked when the guy took a glance at her for a second and walked away from his sight.

It took awhile to finally reach Mrs. Hopkins' office floor and her secretary made her wait. Finally she opens the door and is welcomed by Mrs. Hopkins sitting on a couch across her table with a set of tea. Jennie took a seat when Mrs. Hopkins pointed to her teacup she's holding to the chair in front of her.

"So, you have a new Chief Legal Officer? He's not even working here in the first place. I thought you would replace me with Johnny Suh." Jennie started the conversation.

"Nah, I need someone like you." Mrs. Hopkins replied.

"Oh? So he's like me? on what part?" Jennie asks her while she's arching her eyebrows. "everything, my dear." Jennie scoffed at the statement. "By the way Jennie, I'm so sorry." Mrs. Hopkins put her teacup down and scooch to Jennie and held her hands. Jennie was shocked by Mrs.Hopkins ' actions and how she could know about her tragedy but to think again, of course she can know that she had an informant in Switzerland.

"Uhm, i have to go, i order Britney to clean my new office." Jennie jumps out from the couch avoiding the conversation. She hates people pitying her for anything even if it's necessary but she thinks she doesn't want it.

Mrs. Hopkins realize it and dismissed her with a weak smile, she care about Jennie so much after that incident but she can't do anything, she know Jennie so much so she stay silent but after meeting her again for months she want to cheer her up, hug her and support her like her own daughter.

Jennie stormed out from Mrs. Hopkins' office and decided to go to the lobby to grab some coffee outside the building but when she's standing on the elevator her mind and heart cannot deny she's devastated by that memory, she wants to kill herself and save her baby instead. She can't control her teary eyes so when it opens she runs to the restroom nearby and walks through the cubicle. She sits and starts crying in silence.

She remembered how she mesmerized her belly, she loved her little bump. The one who always made her strong in court when trial began. She loved how people in court before the trial start always asked about her baby, how she managed to still work, and how everyone cheered her up but of course when people start talked about the baby father she can't resist for being heavy but she tried to explain that her 'husband' completely fine because he didn't want to stop her doing something she loved. At least that's what Yoongi told her.

"I don't want to prevent you from anything, use me to make you spread your wings wider."

That's what makes her this far but of course there's a certain ending either sad or happy. This time the universe cursed her life to be sad for God knows how long. She realizes she wants to reach happiness as soon as possible, to not drown in her sorrow for losing two persons in her life, one she won't ever meet again and one she won't be own anymore.

She gets out of the cubicle and stands in front of a mirror. She splash her face with water, she decided to clean up her makeup and just go with no makeup for the entire day. She's not going to impress anyone, why should she put much effort to be interesting besides she's already a pretty lady.

Jennie exits the restroom and orders a coffee from the coffee truck beside the building. After she pays, she turns around and faces an office window. She stares at a person inside the building, the least person she would like to meet at the moment. She stared at his figure, his hair grew and got a bit mullet on the back, it's weird, somehow cute. He wears all black attire while holding open files in his hands. Maybe he read it while standing in the queue of a cafe inside the lobby.

She cannot show her smile nor her bitter face, she just stares blankly. Apparently Yoongi stares at her with the same facial expression too. Finally they both turn around at the same time, while Jennie goes into the building again straight to the elevator. When Jennie waits in front of it Yoongi turns his head to her, she's still beautiful as she always is.

Jennie tries to breathe calmly as she just saw her new nightmare, Min Yoongi but she knows he cannot always be like that to her, he deserves an explanation of her departure and their big news. At least he should know and tell him to not feel guilty, she wants him to acknowledge the baby so the baby can still feel like a father figure even if it's gone. After an elevator door opens, she is face to face with her assistant, Mino.

"Mino! how come you only show up right now? where were you?" Jennie asks him but he seems so nervous.

"Ms. Kim actually I was transferring as Mr. Kim assistant now. He chose me on his first day." Mino explains while scratching the back of his neck.

"Who?" She still isn't familiar with the name.

"Mr. Taehyung Kim as in Mr. V, the new CLO" Mino replied.

Jennie's head boils, she cannot believe it. First her office and now her assistant too. Why does everyone always take everything from her? It's like non-stop she has to suffer being lonely. She exited the elevator and went straight to his office and barged in while she still held her hot coffee.

"First, you took my office space. Second, you took my assistant? What are you trying to do? Are you trying to get rid of me when I'm away?" Jennie talks straight to the point. Taehyung who stands facing the window while reading a file in his hand turns around with a straight face.

"Hello Ms. Ruby Jane, how nice our first introduction. Is that how you talk to your superior?" Taehyung put down his file to his desk and put his hands in his pocket. "You're just a new guy who took a power that you didn't deserve." Jennie stares at him sharply.

"I followed the procedure to be a chief. I am talented and an expert in what I do, I have many achievements. I'm successful and they offered me this job so I signed it. What did I miss?" Taehyung arches his eyebrows while walking towards Jennie. "Your attitude in the office Mr. V" Jennie called him by his nickname.

Taehyung smirked at her, he didn't know that one syllable really fitted in Jennie's voice, he kinda liked her fierce voice. He scrunch his nose and talk again. "Ms. Ruby Jane, I'm in charge here now and as you know a superior gets what they want including things in the office and people who they want to work with." Taehyung explained to her.

"It's Ms. Jennie Kim, no need to switch my middle name to my first name." Jennie sternly said to him. Taehyung's smirk gets wider and he leans to her ear and whispers something.

"As a superior, I'm in charge of calling who with what name I like, princess." Taehyung said in a seductive voice but it didn't affect Jennie a little bit. "Now, Ms.Ruby Jane please start work at your office, my assistant Mr. Song already sent you a bunch of deals you need to analyze so this company doesn't get sued at any moment." Taehyung turns around to his desk.

Jennie rolled her eyes and left his office. She cannot believe he is just using his flirtatious voice to beat her.  Even if Taehyung is her boss but still she's mad that she cannot work as usual, she already organizes her office as she wants and right now she has to do it again in a smaller space.

She works her ass off and finishes it on time, there's no mistake in any files and she registered all deals to the system. She checked her corporate email and found ten new deals she needed to make a legal contract with and prepare a document to present to companies who hired Omnicom. She decided to ask where her legal team was so Jennie walked to Taehyung's office while bringing the documents she checked to give it to Mino.

She can't find Mino anywhere in front of Taehyung's office but Taehyung who stands behind his desk notices her from his glass window that she is trying to find someone so he calls her. "Ms. Ruby Jane." Jennie groaned with that voice and name he's using and turned around. Taehyung signs her to get in and she walks into his office.

"Are you done?" Jennie keeps quiet while standing beside him and handing the documents to him. She just wants to leave right away and might as well not have to sit in front of him. "Mr. V, I want to know where my team is. I have several contract agreements that need to be done. I need my team to work on it this week." Jennie asked him.

"Actually, I fired all of your team last month." Taehyung sat down in his chair and looked up at her. Jennie widened her eyes "You what?!" She stared at him with an angry face. Taehyung looks outside to see if his employee sees them have a talk because Jennie literally screams in front of him, good thing his window has a remote to tin the window so he finds the remote and turns on the switch.

"Mr. Kim i think you went too far this time, how can you do that to five of them?" Jennie crosses her hands to her chest.

"They didn't pass the annual assessment, they need to be fired but I got a list for you to recruit a new team." Taehyung opens the bottom drawer of his desk to take a paper full of employees' lists.

"You know what Mr. V, just do as you want to, you said you're a superior so you have the authority to do anything you want. Please choose one for me, I'm done and I'll be waiting for my new team tomorrow, good day." Jennie is about to turn around but Taehyung grabs her wrist. He wants to stand up too from his chair but he forgot to close his bottom drawer so he stumbles back to his chair and brings Jennie to his lap because he still holds her wrist tightly.

They're faces now just an inch away, Jennie widened her eyes but she fell into his beautiful green eyes. While Taehyung fell into her beautiful small face with her chubby cheek and her fiercely cat eyes. Suddenly he cupped her cheek with his hand and whispered "Someone said we are the same, I would like to know more." Jennie widened her eyes, why it has to be Yoongi fucking Min. She tries to forcefully free her hands, making Taehyung jolted up again and the desk moving. Yoongi was startled and looked confused at what Taehyung tried to do.

"Uh, are you okay?" Yoongi made sure but Taehyung just cleared his throat because he was so nervous,  Jennie's position really on the perfect spot. So for the next project I will inform Ms. Jennie Kim to take care of your legal document." Yoongi clears his throat to speak up. "Uh, Mr. Kim i think i will go with Mr. Suh again, we already know each other's work ethic so it will be easier for us to check each other's work." Taehyung is confused because he just made a contract agreement. What's the big deal?

While they're still talking, Jennie can't breathe properly as she feels the air in there start to get emptier, she closes her eyes the entire time to make her calm. When she opens her eyes and gets panicked because right now she can see Taehyung's trousers get tighter and she can clearly see his cock start showing.

Jennie stumbles with her head touching the ground and her hands spread out. She sits up and looks at Taehyung's frustrated posture. "Ms. Ruby Jane, you can go now." Taehyung said he remained in his position to suppress his stimulation. Jennie just stands up and nods even if he can't see it, she walks a little fast to her office and closes the door.

I don't know why it's so hard to get in with details in this book. it take me hours to find right sentences, i hope i don't mispelled anything, my english is so mess up.
