2. The Boy With The Trench Coat

23:37, 20 April 2016

Dean had settled down and had made a few new friends, besides with Garth which didn't really bother him now.

It had been about three days since he left Sam and he was already regretting leaving like he did.

He absentmindedly wandered around the vast hallways, thinking about calling Sam and apologizing. He shook his head and dismissed the thought, thinking that if he did and Gabriel was there, he didn't want to interrupt anything that may be going on.

Dean continued to go back and forth between these thoughts until he collided with another person and papers flew everywhere.

The other boy quickly bent to the ground and kept picking up papers as the rest fluttered down around him.

Dean snatched a few out of the air and bent down to gather more of them up, as the boy looked up and around at the papers settling gently around him.

"Confetti... It's a parade." He muttered quietly.

Dean stopped for a second and looked at the boy and then back at the papers. "Excuse me?"

"Oh, nothing just-"  the boy had looked at Dean then, and forgot what he was saying.

Dean frowned at the sudden stop in the middle of the sentence and looked at the boy.

The boy quickly went back to gathering the rest of the papers and didn't continue his sentence.

Dean sat there, a little confused. He couldn't stop looking at the boy's bright blue eyes or questioning why he was wearing a long, tan trench coat with a tie knotted closely to his neck. He slowly tore his eyes off the boy and helped him gather the rest of the papers.

After they all were collected and handed back, they both stood up and Dean apologized.

"I'm sorry, really. I wasn't really paying attention and-" the boy stopped him.

"It's fine really, no harm done." The boy shifted the papers in his arms so one of his hands were free and offered it to Dean. "The name's Castiel Novak."

Dean raised his eyebrows but took his hand anyway. "Dean Winchester." They shook hands and the boy- Castiel- nodded.

"I have to go now, these are supposed to go to the office." He motioned to the papers in the other hand and let go of Dean's hand.

"Oh... Well bye."

Castiel smiled slightly and said goodbye quickly before making his way to the main building.

Dean continued to walk back to his dorm, his mind not on his brother but the boy with the trench coat.

His eyes. They were so blue. Dean shook his head but couldn't stop thinking. And his hand in mine- He looked down at his hands. He was so confused as to what he was feeling. He couldn't possibly like this boy, could he?

The rest of the way to his dorm, he kept thinking of Castiel's bright blue eyes and messy dark brown hair.

When he got to his dorm, he ignored Garth who was playing around with some of the tricks he had to mess with some poor people who would walk by.

Garth had started talking but Dean was too distracted to pay attention.

"Hello? Anyone there?" Garth waved a hand in front of Dean's face.

"Uh... What?" Questioned Dean, snapping back into reality.

"Wow you didn't hear anything, did you? Well, I was asking if you were going to be at the party tomorrow night." Garth answered.

"What party?" Dean asked.

"The huge freshman party that everyone is getting ready for, duh."

"I didn't know about this- I don't know if I'll go."

"A lot of people will be there. Loud music, too. I think it'll be fun."

Dean thought for a second. What if Castiel would be there? He had to see him again. "Yeah... Yeah I guess I'll go."

"Great! Tomorrow night! Be ready!"

Dean nodded. "I will be."
