Doctor Robert

01:27, 29 July 2014

I groaned, slowly opening my eyes to a bright-white room.

What happened?

I turned my head to my left slowly, seeing my dad asleep on one bed.

I slowly turned my head to the right, seeing Scott on the other.

My vision's so blurry.....Where am I?

"Ah Julia, I'm glad to see you're up." I saw Doctor Robert come in.

I squinted my eyes at him, "What 'appened, Doc.?" I slowly asked.

"You all got into a car accident. Scott is bandaged up because his back was all cut." The doctor glanced at Scott.

He sighed.

"He has to wear a prosthetic leg for now on, on his right leg.." Doctor Robert said looking at me.

I gasped, looking at Scott. "W-What?" I whispered.

He nodded, "It was a big impact on his leg. Since he wasn't in his seat, he lost his leg." Doctor Robert shrugged.

"Scott is cut up a little, but he just needs to learn how to walk with that new leg of his." He said.

"I'm sorry." Doctor Robert looked at me.

I bit my lip, trying not to cry. Poor Scottie..

"Julia, you only just had a baby two days ago. So you got a few stitches on your stomach and um... Other places.. But it'll heal and you'll be fine." He slightly smiled at me.

I slowly nodded, "A-And what about dad?" I asked, turning towards my father.

Doctor Robert sighed, "It affected Scott more than it affected your dad.. He's very lucky to be alive." Doctor Robert said, glancing at dad.

I gasped.

"If your father wasn't so far up from the car, he most likely wouldn't be here right now.." He carefully said.

I gulped. I almost lost my father?

"I know it's a lot to take in, but everyone should be fine." Doctor Robert said, walking towards the door.

"Julia?" He turned around.

I looked at him.

He sighed, "Just.... Be careful and watch out for Scott." He said, pointing to Scott.

I slowly nodded as Doctor Robert left the room.

Poor Scottie.. We'll never be able to play those games of running on cars ever again.  I sighed.

I slowly sat up, instantly feeling pain in my stomach from the stitches.

I gently held onto my stomach as I slowly walked towards Scott.

I quickly sat down on the chair beside him, moving hair that was on his face.

"Oh, Scottie.." I whispered as I started to cry.

Scott started flinching as he slowly woke up.

"Julia...?" He groaned.

Scott slowly sat up, "What's going on?" He looked at my face.

"You're all scratched up." He said, gently touching my wounds.

"Scott.." I whispered as more hot tears started falling.

He smirked, "What?"

I looked him in the eye.

Scott tiled his head, "What, Jules? What is it?" He softly asked.

I couldn't say it.. How can I tell my own husband he just lost his leg? Oh god... Just wait until he finds out.

"I-I can't, Scott." I cried softly, covering my face.

" 'Ey, 'ey. It's alright, I'm here. I-Is yer dad alright?" He asked, fright building up in his voice.

I nodded, " 'E's fine. It's just-"

Scott tried stretching, a bizarre look came upon his face.

"Julia? I-I can't feel my right leg!" He said.

"Maybe it's asleep.." He whispered.

I bit my lip as Scott looked at me with hope.

"I-It's asleep, right?" He asked.

I didn't move my head with a 'yes' or 'no'. All I did was sit there and watch him as tears fell from my eyes.

I heard Scott's breathing go fast.

I rubbed his back, "Breathe, Scottie.." I whispered.

"W-What's going on?!" He raised his voice in panic.

I heard a groan come from behind me.

I slowly turned around and saw dad sit up as he woke up.

I looked back at Scott. "Scott, p-"

"Tell me what's going on?!" Scott panicked.

I sighed, "I can't." I cried.

Scott gulped as he let go of me. I slowly put my hand down as I rubbed my arms uncomfortably.

Scott slowly raised the blanket on him as he gasped.

"W-Where's my leg?" He softly said, his voice cracking.

I gulped, not saying anything.

His head snapped to me, "WHERE'S MY RIGHT LEG!?" He cried.

"JULIA!?" He sobbed.

I pulled Scott closer to me, "I'm so sorry, Scott." I softly cried.

Scott didn't say anything, he started sobbing harder.

"W-What am I going to do?" He whispered.

"Doctor Robert said that he has a fake leg ya can use.. It'll take practice and time, Scott, but with that leg, ya can heal! You'll be able to walk again with it!" I said, trying to stop myself from crying.

"Please..." He whispered.

It broke me to see Scott like this. He was arrested, bailed and lost a leg all in the same day. Not to mention we just had a baby. It's been a roller coast big time this week. Scott needs me more than ever.

"Julia, are you alright?" I heard my father ask, walking up behind me.

"Y-Yeah." I sniffled.

"I have a few stitches, but it's Scott I'm worried about." I said, holding onto Scott.

Dad sighed, "I'm so sorry to hear about this, Scott." He said.

Scott cried in my arms, " 'Ow are we gonna pay for a fuckin' fake leg?" He mumbled in my chest.

I sighed, rubbing his back.

"I don't know, Scott." I whispered.

"I'll pay for it." Dad said.

I looked at him, "Dad, ya can't do that. Ya bailed Scott out of jail today, you've spent so much already. W-We can't accept that offer.." I said.

"Nope. You're taking my offer." Dad said.

"You're my daughter. Scott needs it. If you won't take my offer, then I'm giving it to Scott. No matter what he says, I know he wants this damn leg." Dad chuckled.

Scott sniffled, slowly turning his head to dad. "R-Really?" He softly asked.

Dad smiled at him genuinely, "Really."

Dad looked at Scott and I, "Now, let me go talk to that doctor." He said, walking out of the room.

Scott slowly let go of me, "Ya may hate yer dad, but he can be pretty gear at times." He said, wiping his eyes.

I smirked, "I guess so." I shrugged.

Scott looked at me with red eyes.

I sighed, "Scott.." I said, caressing his face.

"Yer're going to be alright, baby. I'm 'ere and I'm not going anywhere. Got it?" I smiled at him.

Scott nodded.

I kissed his lips. "We both 'ave to take it easy for a while. I'll help ya though, Scott. I'm yer wife, I'm supposed to do this." I smirked.

Scott let out a soft chuckle. "I love ya so much."

I smiled, kissing his lips again. "I love ya too, Scott."

I gently patted his chest, "Ya won't get a job until ya learn 'ow to walk with that thing." I said.

Scott sighed, "I know..I-"

Doctor Robert and Dad suddenly walked in.

Doctor Robert held the fake leg in his hands. "I believe this should be your size." He smiled widely at Scott.

"This may feel funny, but it'll help." Doctor Robert said, throwing the blanket off of Scott.

Doctor Robert slowly put the face leg on.

Scott stared at his new leg.

"What do you think?" The doctor asked.

Scott shrugged, "I-I don't know what to think.." He mumbled.

I turned to my dad, "Thank ya." I said.

Dad smiled at me with sincere.

"I also got Scott here a wheelchair." He said, looking at Scott.

Scott looked at dad oddly, "A wheelchair? Why?" He curiously asked.

Dad chuckled, "You won't be able to walk with this thing so quickly. You'll train for a few hours, but other than that you have to go around in a wheelchair." Dad gently patted Scott's back.

"Don't worry. Everything will be fine." Dad smiled at Scott.

Scott sighed, "I guess so.. I'm just thankful we're alive." Scott said, looking at dad and I.

"Yeah, what 'appened to the other people?" I asked curiously.

Doctor Robert sighed, "It was only one person and they didn't make it..."

My eyes went wide as I gasped. "W-What?"

"John, you didn't cause the accident, they did. The man was drunk and driving where he shouldn't be." Doctor Robert sighed.

I bit my lower lip, "That's so sad.." I softly said.

Dad wrapped his arms around me, "That's what a drunken lad gets." He said.

I sighed, gently pushing dad off of me as I glared at him.

Dad shrugged.

Suddenly the door swung open as we saw an angry Yoko storm in.

"JOHN!" She screamed, stomping up to dad.

Dad smirked, "Hello, love." He said, trying to kiss her lips.

Yoko backed up, slapping dad's face. "HOW DARE YOU!" She yelled.

Dad looked at Yoko oddly, "What?"

"You come back here to Liverpool! Of course I know what you're up to and where you are with all these damn newspapers about you!" Yoko shouted.

"Do you not trust me, Yoko?" Dad asked.

"I do trust you, but how could you come back here after everything?!" She shouted.

Dad sighed, "They didn't do anything, Yoko. I did it all. I caused pain and you kicked me out of the house, so I came here to apologize." Dad calmly said.

Yoko squinted her eyes at dad in anger. "Well, you're coming back to New York!" She shouted.

I gasped, "Ya can't do that, Yoko!" I said, harshly grabbing her arm.

"AH! Let go of me!" She slapped my hand away.

I quickly let go of her, "I don't see why yer're so angry." I said.

Yoko glared at me, "I'm so angry because he must've been cheating on me with Cynthia!" She said, crossing her arms.

Dad chuckled, "Maybe I did give Cyn a few kisses and love here and there, so? I love you, Yoko! We were on break, what did you expect me to do? Be clean?"

Dad started laughing, " 'Cause I wasn't!"

Yoko's face turned red as she grabbed his arm. "We're leaving. I want you back." She said.

Dad smirked, turning to me.

"Julia, I-"

I stopped my father from talking any more, "It's fine, dad. Ya even told me she was coming." I shrugged.

Dad sighed, kissing my cheek. "You two take care. And Julia" Dad looked at me.

"Call me for now on." He sternly said.

I nodded, "Will do, dad." I let out a small smile.

Yoko dragged dad out of the room.

I sighed, sitting beside Scott again.

"Don't be sad, love. Ya 'ave me!" He said.

I smirked, "I'm alright this time, Scott. I just need to watch for ya now.. It was nice of 'im to visit though.." I sighed.

Scott smirked at me, holding my hand. "Just think, once I can walk again. We'll start gigging again."

I smirked, "Now I 'ave to watch ya and Emily. Goodness!" I placed one hand on my forehead.

Scott laughed, "We're not so bad."

I smirked, "Well, Emily isn't."

Scott scoffed, "Well, I 'ave ya know tha-"

"Oh, shut up and kiss me." I giggled.

I slowly leaned down, kissing Scott's lips with passion.

"I love ya, Ju-"

"Oh, stop it.. Let's just kiss a little." I smirked, kissing Scott's lips again.

"Um...I'll leave you two alone for a while.." Doctor Robert awkwardly said, walking out of the room.
