Pancakes

Recap:

"Yeah, her name is Meghan. Look her up on Instagram. Her user is meghvnmvrie"

It took me a minute or two to pull up her Instagram account and skim though it.

"Well she's pretty, I'll give her that." I tells Shannon with a sour tone.

"Yeah, and she's super nice. She really likes Kyle, and-"

"Well that's great. Just dandy. I love you but I need to go to sleep, Shan. I have to go shopping tomorrow for school. I'll call you tomorrow!"

"Okay, goodnight! Ily." Is the last thing I hear before I exit out of Skype and close my laptop.

After doing so, I put my hair in a high bun and climbed into bed.

I don't know why I was feeling like this, why I was feeling... jealous. I mean, I left Ohio JUST to get away from him. So, I should be happy for him, and just move on.

With that thought, I fell into some much needed rest.

"Mornin' sleepy head!" My mom yells as I stagger across the kitchen and sit at the table.

"Good morning ma." I reply as she puts a plate of pancakes and bacon in front of me.

"So, are you ready to go shopping? We leave right after breakfast. You're starting school tomorrow and you need new clothes."

"Yeah."

"Okay, well I'm going to go get ready. Finish eating your food." My mom said and then walked upstairs.

And then there was one.

I finished my breakfast after about 10 minutes and decided to go get ready. I put my plate in the sink and went into my room.

I decided to wear a Black Veil Brides shirt with regular denim jeans, and my black and white vans.

For my hair, I just straightened it and ran a comb through it several times to keep it in place.

For makeup, I did a winged eyeliner with bottom eyeliner and two coats of mascara.

After about twenty minutes, I was done and headed downstairs.

"Mom, you ready?" I called to her from the middle of the living room.

"I'll be down in a second."

"So what store do you want to go to first?" My mom asked while we were getting off of our car.

"Hot Topic!"

"Did I even have to ask?"

After about five minutes of searching, we finally found the Hot Topic. It was the biggest one I had ever seen. As soon as we saw it, I walked in and went straight to the t-shirts, and my mom followed close behind me.

After picking out about 8 or 9 shirts, I decided to go look at the other stuff that they had.

While I was looking through a rack of belts, my mom asked nonchalantly:

"So... what's going on with Kyle?"

"Huh?" I asked, my eyes growing bigger by the millisecond.

"I heard you and Shannon talking about him last night, you seemed pretty upset."

"Well he got a new girlfriend, and no, I'm not upset."

"I always thought you two had something together, but I didn't know what..."

"It's complicated."
