Dinner

Mingyu spent most of his day playing video games, trying to forget his excitement that he was feeling before, but of course he couldn't. He couldn't wait to talk to that boy he saw. Mingyu was intrigued by him, maybe it was because of his appearance or maybe it was because he had no emotion. Mingyu didn't know why he felt intrigued but he really wanted to get to know him.

Mingyu heard his phone make a noise indicating he got a text. He looked at it and saw it was Vernon.

Vernon: Hey you gonna come over tonight? The rest of us will be there

Mingyu: Can't, I'm having dinner with the new neighbours

Vernon: New neighbours again??? I can't keep up with how many you've had

Mingyu: Well these neighbours are different, they have two children, one that looks our age and another that look like my sisters age.

Vernon: Boys, girls or both?

Mingyu: boys

Vernon: Maybe you can invite them to my place with all the boys one day

Mingyu: Yeah maybe

"Mingyu! Start getting ready, they should be here in 30 minutes." Mingyu's Mum shouted

"Okay Mum."

Mingyu: I have to go and get ready, bye.

Vernon: Cya

Mingyu was looking through his closet trying to find something to wear. He ended up wearing what he usually wore when new neighbours came over for dinner, a plain white T-shirt, black ripped skinny jeans and black converse. He went in the bath room and did his hair, making sure his darkish brown hair was perfect.

The doorbell rang and he could hear a woman and a man's voice along with his parents. He walked downstairs and saw the boy that looked his age. He was wear a long sleeved black jumper and like him black skinny ripped jeans and converse but the converse was in grey.

"Annyeonghaseyo Jeon Hyejin imnida" The woman that looked to be in her late 30s said.

"I'm Heejun." Heejun was a tall man, who looked to be in his early 40s, standing next to Hyejin.

"These are our two sons, Bohyuk who is 13 years old and this is our oldest son Wonwoo who is 16 years old."

Hyejin finished telling us her son's names and we introduced ourselves then we sat down at the dining table. Mingyu was sitting across from Wonwoo, his sister on his right who was sitting across from Bohyuk and his parents and Wonwoo's parents were sitting opposite each other. Mum took out the food and we all helped ourselves to what we wanted. When we were talking or not eating Mingyu could see Wonwoo at the corner of my eye, looking at him emotionless. He has to admit it was a bit creepy but who wouldn't want to stare and Mingyu's beautiful hair and face all day.

"Mingyu why don't you and Wonwoo entertain yourselves, go upstairs and play on your xbox or even go and play with Bohyuk and Mija." It took a couple of seconds for Mingyu to realise his Mum was talking to him but he agreed and went to his room with Wonwoo.

"So wanna play xbox?" Mingyu asked

Wonwoo went at sat on Mingyu's bed and stating a simple "No" then went back to being silent and emotionless.

"How about we get to know each other, I'll go first, I'm social, I like talk to people, I like having a lot of friends and I care about my hair and looks a lot. Oh I'm also really popular in school, your turn."

"I don't have any friends, I don't like having friends, I don't like talking, I'm not popular, I don't like having any emotion, I'm not social and I Prefer (Hehe I said Prefer, one of my friends at school is called Prefer) to be alone, you could call me a loner and emo."

Mingyu started to feel a bit uneasy, mainly because they were the complete opposites and it would be hard to befriend him. He tried asking him more questions about his life, likes and dislikes but Wonwoo only said one word answers, shrugged or ignored Mingyu completely, that's until Mingyu asked a certain question that got more words out of Wonwoo.

"Why do you show no emotion?" Mingyu questioned

"Why should I show emotion? Is it compulsory? Do I have to show emotion? What if I like being emotionless! It's better being emotionless and it's easier for me now!" 

Mingyu got a bit shocked with Wonwoo's response. 'It's better being emotionless and it's easier for me now'  Mingyu couldn't think of any reasons why being emotionless was easy and he kept questioning himself on why Wonwoo said it was easier for him. Did something happen to him when he was little or before he moved here? Mingyu didn't want to ask him any more questions in case he got angry at him and hated him or he holds a grudge against him. 

Wonwoo sort of looked like he was ready to hurt Mingyu if he spoke one more word so he just started playing a game on his xbox, he continued playing until Wonwoo left and he felt relieved that Wonwoo didn't murder him but he couldn't get what Wonwoo said out of his head. He went and had a shower to forget about everything and changed into his pyjamas and continued playing his game.

"Oppa, did you like the new neighbours? I liked them I think they were nice!" Mingyu heard the sweet voice of his little sister, he loved hearing her voice everyday she was his little angel. It always made him feel better and it always soothed him.

"Yes they were very nice, did you like Bohyuk?"

"Ne oppa, we played fun games together and he told me what school he was going too and it's the same as mine! Do you think Wonwoo oppa will be going to your school?"

"Maybe, do you have a crush on Bohyuk, Mija?"

"Ani oppa! I don't like him like that!" Mija was covering her face with her hands and all Mingyu could do was smile at how cute she was, she still acted like an 8 year old even though she was 12 but Mingyu didn't care it just made her even more cute. Even the teachers at her school thought the same.

"Come on Mija, lets go to bed. Oppa will tuck you in." Mingyu said and grabbed Mija's hand.

They entered Mija's room and Mija went under her blanket on her bed, snuggling her teddy, Mr. Wiggles, and closed her eyes.

"Goodnight Mija, sweet dreams." Mingyu said in a quiet voice and kissed her forehead while moving her blanket up a bit.

"Goodnight oppa." Mija said and Kissed Mingyu on his cheek.

Mingyu walked back to his room and lied down on his bed. What Wonwoo said before came flooding back into his mind. Mingyu wanted to find out why he thought it was easier and what made him like that but for the sake of Wonwoo's privacy he decided to disregard it for now and become better friends with him or when it comes up in conversation or when the time is right to ask him. Mingyu went under his blanket and soon drifting off into a deep sleep.

I feel sorry for my school grades and work. Probably more sorry for my friends and family who have to continuously listen to my crazy fangirling.
