Chapter 41
12:00, 25 September 2015Hours later, the group left the dressing room with new haircuts and hair colours. Su Bin went through her newly dyed hair. It was a blue ombre from a dark blue to a turquoise at the ends. Namjoon's hair was a blueish-silver while Yoongi's hair was pink. Seokjin's hair was green but it wasn't a disgusting or bright green, it was an alright green. The twins managed to convince their Appas to let them dye another colour. Ji Woo had bright red hair and Min Jun had light brown hair.
"Hm that colour is nice," Jimin muses as he picks up Ji Woo. "Maybe I could have it for the next promotions."
"That's not your choice hyung," Taehyung says, smiling. "It's the stylist noonas choice."
"Noona I like your hair colour," Min Jun says in her arms while playing with her turquoise ends.
"Su Bin?" a familiar voice calls out and she diverts her sight from the younger boy to the front and she sees the boy.
"Daejunnie?" she calls out surprised and he stands there, not moving closer to the group.
She looks back to Bangtan who was looking away, not wanting to interrupt anything. She makes eye contact with Namjoon who nods silently. She lowers down Min Jun and he gets off before running to Namjoon who picks him up before sighing and turns back to make eye contact with the boy but was never returned. "Don't come home too late okay?" Seokjin says and she nods, without turning back.
Waiting till Bangtan and the twins left, she then walks over to Daejun who just stood there, not looking into her eyes. "Daejun..." she starts but he cuts her off.
"I'm sorry Su Bin," he says, fidgeting.
"What are you sorry for?" she asks.
"I'm sorry for fighting with you..." he says. "Even though we weren't together but we acted like a couple. I should have understood that your actions. It has always been in you. That's why when the twins were thrown out, you followed them and chose to live on the streets, taking care of them."
It was more than just that. "But I really shouldn't have fought with you as something as trivial as that. I don't know why I fought with you but I did," he says before taking her hands, staring into her eyes, "and I'm sorry for that."
She gets out of his grip slowly as his expression changes. "Daejun..." she calls out softly and takes a deep breath. "A lot of things happened when you weren't around. You may think what can happen in one week. A lot can happen and I had a lot of time to think about everything. We may have been caught up in moments and thought we actually liked each other and even though nothing was official, we had something. I wouldn't deny that. As time went by after the fight, I found myself slowly giving up on us. It may be because I didn't see you everyday or message you everyday, I didn't find myself missing you or liking you as people has mentioned. I really don't know what it is like to genuinely like someone. It may be cliche, it may not be but... I think we were just caught up in the moment."
He breaths out, letting everything sink in. "I wanted to ask you to be my girlfriend but now after what you had said... I'm so confused Su Bin. I thought I did the moment I saw you..."
"Attraction is different to liking Daejun," she replies before smiling slightly, looking away embarrassingly. "I thought you looked really cute and hot when I first saw you."
"Cute and hot?" he asks, quirking an eyebrow and she laughs nervously.
"I saw a lot of posts about Jimin Oppa and how he turns from sexy to cute in a split second, killing all the fan girls... When I saw you, I thought of that," she said, biting down on her lower lip, smiling sheepishly.
"I see..." he trails off. "Do I remind you of everyone in Bangtan...?"
She nods meekly. "You have deep dimples like Namjoon Oppa, a contagious smile like Hobi Oppa, attractiveness like Jimin Oppa, aegyo looks like Jungkookie Oppa, your love for cooking and your broad shoulders like Jin Oppa and finally weirdness like V Oppa. I realized that during our date..." she trails off, feeling the awkward tension as she grips onto her elbow.
"What are we gonna do..." he says before glancing at her, "about us?"
"I don't know. Maybe we're too young to understand the definition of being in a relationship or liking someone truly," she starts. "I've seen somewhere that you can't be 'best friends' with someone who you have feelings for... But let's just pretend that we never had feelings for each other. We just felt attraction. Maybe more but we landed ourselves in this mess... We should wait till we grow up which sounds absurd."
"Why are you trying to stop us from possibly happening?" he asks. "This is just an obstacle that we have to overcome. After this, things will get better and we will be stronger and even more understanding."
"That's what you say. Reality is harsh. Anything could hap-"
"Let's just try this," Daejun cuts Su Bin off. "Try us..."
He grabs onto her hand and intertwines them before catching her eye contact. "We won't know where this would go but I'm willing to try. But are you willing to do so Su Bin?" he asks with hopeful eyes.
She considers before smiling and slipping out of his hand, walking towards the lift. "What does that mean?" he asks, smiling slightly and she just ignores him before stepping into the lift. "Aw c'mon Su Bin!"

The teenagers entered the cafe that Su Bin works at. "Annyeong~" she greets her co-worker who smiles back, knowing what she wanted. "I'll do his order if you wouldn't mind."
Her co-worker smiles, opening the door leading into the counter area. Su Bin thanks him before getting to work. Daejun sits down at a table, facing the counter and smiles before taking out his phone.
Where are you guys?
He found it a little cute how Bangtan were protective over Su Bin but does it without letting her know.
Su Bin's workplace. Don't worry hyung, I won't let her get hurt. Plus, her co-worker's here.
I trust you. It's those people out there I don't trust.
Like who? You?
Very fun Daejun. In case you didn't remember, Su Bin got kidnapped a few days ago.
I remember hyung... Thank you for telling me.
No worries.
But seriously who am I suppose to watch out for.
I think for now since you are in the cafe, watch out for Joonhyeon. We, Bangtan Boys, aren't especially that fond of him... Let just leave at that alright?
I know why. Don't need to hide from me hyung -_-
Who told you?
Ji Hyo Noona. I live with her remember?
Right...
He looks away from his phone to see Joonhyeon holding onto Su Bin's wrist and her co-worker nowhere in sight.
Uh-oh. Gotta go Jungkook hyung. Trouble's here.
I'm guessing Joonhyeon.
Daejun doesn't even reply as he tucks his phone into his pocket and strolls towards the pair calmly. "Hi Joonhyeon hyung," he greets with sarcasm, smiling widely. "What are you doing here?"
"To get coffee. Why else would I be here for?!" Joonhyeon replies, fury clear in his eyes.
"Just coffee?" the younger asks coolly as his eyes lands on the grip on the girl. "I would appreciate if you let go of Su Bin."
Joonhyeon smirks. "Not jagiya?" the singer asks, "Did Daejunnie break up with you? Why? Too mature for you?"
"Let go of her," Daejun states calmly once again.
"You're younger than me. Don't command me to anything," Joonhyeon growls.
"I'm older than you. Let go of her. That's a command," a voice resounded and they all turned to see Lay who was glaring straight at Joonhyeon without an ounce of emotion. "Let go."
He immediately let go, scared of the oldest. "Take your coffee and scram. If I see you near Su Bin for bad intentions, I will personally castrate you," he says, venom dripping from each word. "This isn't a threat, it is a promise."
Joonhyeon stumbles out of the cafe, looking back from time to time in fear. Lay slumps slightly after seeing that he was gone. "It is so tiring looking out for you," he mutters in Chinese.
"Thank you Lay Oppa," she replies in Chinese, shocking the two males. "But why are you 'looking out' for me?"
The EXO member sighs. "Nothing much..." he trails off before the look in his eyes seemed distant then he snaps out of it as she finishes Daejun's coffee. "I need twelve coffees."
"I'm not on shift. I just went in to make Daejun's coffee," she says, smiling sheepishly as she leaves the counter.
"Wha??? But the other members like your coffee only," he says as she hands Daejun his coffee.
"Well too bad. And wouldn't there be nine coffees not twelve. Kris Oppa, Luhan Oppa and Tao Oppa left already," she says smiling slightly as the actor slips an arm around her while drinking his coffee.
"They're here to visit... I think. They're just here," the third oldest member of the band replies.
"No bad blood?" she asks, slipping an arm around Daejun, realizing that her co-worker was back and was busying with her coffee.
"None," he replies before muttering below his breath, "at the moment."
Su Bin's coffee was done and she said to put on her tab. "We have to go now Oppa. See you around sometime. Bye~"
"Bye Su Bin. Bye Daejun," he says, smiling and the pair leaves the cafe.
