Chapter 5

Lisa open up many boxes in apartment Chaeyoung going to live again. There's like ten of it she and Chaeyoung take from the storage room in the basement of her apartment. After Chaeyoung cried on her shoulder, Lisa help Chaeyoung to bring back her stuff from the storage room to their apartment which is Chayeoung's old apartment when she become Lisa's roommate.

"When you'll be start to teach, Chae?" Lisa ask when she put together a shoes rack in Chae's bedroom and put Chaeyoung's shoes in there. Chaeyoung is in her closet put bunch of her clothes to hang in there. She little bit yelling from there. "Tomorrow i can start to work, the principal already inform me to go early for introduction." Chaeyoung got excited because she hope she can meet her old students, but of course they're already on 1st grade but it still in her area because the principal order her to take kindergarten to 4th grade.

"Are you excited? you used to teach them for a week. You were so excited everytime you went back home after that." Lisa remember a year ago Chaeyoung always plan tomorrow's course for the children, she make an easy songs for them to play with their mini piano or little drum. Lisa always listening how Chaeyoung make an origami birds for decoration and bought bunch of candies as a gift for them. All of those were the reason Chaeyoung told Jimin she want to be a teacher, she love how kids adore every little things adult do. Since being a teacher can be anywhere, Chaeyoung was willing to move in with him to Chicago.

Chaeyoung get out from her closet and scan through her bedroom, what stuff did she missed. She spot one box behind her doors, she wasn't remember bring that box to here because the box it's black and it's kind of like fancier than in the storage room. She approach it and put it above her bed, Chaeyoung's mouth hang open to see what's inside. It's Jimin's stuff in there. There's his t-shirt, pants, his toiletries and couple of books. Yes, after Chaeyoung decided to broke up, Jimin never try to reach her anymore and the next day they broken up was the day she left, she didn't have time to gave his stuff back but it's already pack.

"Lisa, can you bring this to your new apartment? Say to Jungkook to give it to Jimin. It's all Jimin's stuff." Lisa nod and get up from the floor join her to scan what's inside. "Do you want to bring this back? this t-shirts and joggers really comfortable to wear, maybe you can wear it to sleep?" Chaeyoung hums, yes it's super comfy but it still not right.

"Where's Lisa? It's ten o'clock, don't you get worry?" Jimin and Jungkook are playing Jungkook's playstation 5 in his living room. Jimin suddenly come because he's really bored and didn't want to eat dinner alone. Jungkook who heard it seems nervous to answer it, how can he tell him right. "Oh, Lisa is hanging out with her friends in the bar, kind of like hanging out with her co-workers after work, she already informed me to come late and her co-worker accompany her to home." Jungkook try to explain it smoothly without thinking. He's glad Jimin just nod.

"Is it a guy?" Jimin suddenly asked."I don't know." , "Why you don't know?", "Should i know?" Jungkook confused with his question but Jimin just chuckle at him.

"I think so. What if it's a guy?" Jimin wants to see Jungkook's feeling now for Lisa. There's a long silent from Jungkook but eventually he cleared his throat and speak. "It's good right? at least someone strong protect her from the street." Jimin shake his head. "It's not what i mean. Didn't you worry he's hitting on her?" Jimin eventually said what he thinks all this time, his bunny friend over here has a brain like a fish.

Jungkook suddenly has no strength or mood to continue the game, he just stare at the screen blankly and push random button on his stick, he suddenly don't know how to play. "Should i be concern? it's her life anyway." Jimin disbelieved of what his best friend said. There's a lie between those words. They broken up just four months ago, it's still early than him and Chaeyoung. Jimin admit his feelings for Chaeyoung still in there but with no sparks, but surely Jungkook still has that spark to accept this situation because he's willing to have all of these marriage thrills.

Jimin suddenly remember something. "Next week is your birthday. What do you want to do? or you already have a plan for a romantic dinner with your wife? it's your first birthday to be married man."

Jimin start teasing him again make Jungkook rolled his eyes.

"I don't know, just casual dinner. No family member, maybe just four of us." Jimin furrows his eyebrows,

"Four? who's four?" Jungkook widen his eyes. He was thinking him, Jimin, Lisa.... and Chaeyoung. He bluntly think of her because if he ask Jimin and Lisa to have a casual friendly birthday dinner with them at some restaurant, Chaeyoung will be there too automatically because Lisa will drag her. They're a package. But, he still forgot Jimin doesn't know she's here.

"Hmm, the guys? Me, you, Taehyung... and Yoongi." Jungkook try to cover it.

"What about Lisa?"

Jungkook face palm himself because why he has to bring Lisa into this, he just doing a favor and there's a line between them, so he just shrug. The reason why he think Lisa on the first place because it'll be rude if his roommate who know him well too doesn't get invite to his birthday. They continue to play till midnight and finally someone at the front door. It's Lisa bring a black box.

When Lisa approach the living room, she surprised there's Jimin in here. She wasn't expecting she will meet him this soon. Lisa plan to let Jungkook who give this to him, she just not good at lying and Jimin is good to noticing it.

Jimin nudge Jungkook to see what Jimin is about to say. "Hi, Lisa. Where have you been?" Jimin arch his eyebrows and start interrogate her.

Lisa thought Jimin smell something's wrong but what Jimin actually thinking is to make Jungkook realize to act like a real husband so he can dive into his feeling more and not always lie.

"Uhm, i was in my apartment." Lisa nervous to answer it but it only make Jimin more confused.

'Did she just lied to Jungkook? Or there's something she's hiding from him?' but Jungkook just face palm himself.

He can't believe Jimin try to interrogate her but it only make a wrong turn that is involving Jimin himself the entire time.

"Jungkook just said you're going with your co-worker." Lisa widen her eyes, she thinks it is already a wrong move.

"Uh yes, i was with my co-workers before and i forgot to clean my apartment, it's been weeks so i rushed to there and i got here." Lisa reasoned out.

Jimin eventually smell something stink so he ask more again. "Did you get here alone? it's midnight, you know that's dangerous." Lisa get more confused, 'okay what's going on? is this concern or he just think something else?'

"Yes, i get here alone, Jimin." Lisa replied.

"You must be accompany your wife, Jeon." Jimin nudge Jungkook who just keep groan and roll his eyes. Lisa startled by the name he given to her, she's not getting used to it yet.

Lisa look to the box she's holding and contemplete should she give it to him now, but what's with the delay? there's nothing wrong with it, so she just walk to him and put it down beside him. "Jimin, when i was cleaning my apartment i found this and it said 'Jimin' so i think it's all your belongings left in there." Jimin froze. His stuff still at Chaeyoung's bedroom all this time. He completely forgot about that.

Suddenly his tone become cold. "Thanks, i will take it." Jimin said while still focusing on his game with Jungkook.

Chaeyoung woke up with excitement because today is the first day of her being a teacher in Trinity School. She wears flared dress that cover until her lower thigh with short jacket floral double breasted with Dr. Martens oxford shoes. Before she went to LA, Lisa gave her Saint Laurent gaby satchel bag as a go to work bag so she wear with it too.

When she arrived at Trinity, she can feel a fresh autumn air. This school brings back her good memories to her. How kids singing along with her when she strum her guitar, how kids try to get a right melody with their mini keyboard that they bring themselves from home, and their excitement when Chaeyoung give them bunch of candies if they can play a kids song right. She look up to the building and still amazed how prestigious this school is. It's #1 ivy league prep school in New York with a long waiting list for parents to let their kids be a student in here. Their richness comes in Neoclassical/greek revival style building that makes them like a prestigious school with a high end classic uniform. Chaeyoung would want to get in here too as a kid to experience all the clubs and high end facilities, even there's a celebrities kids who studies here.

Chaeyoung walk to the principal's office but when she in the hallway she already spot the principal who she knew back then, so it isn't hard for her to find him. Chaeyoung approach him who looking through bulletin board in front of him.

"Hello Mr. Hall?" He turn around and a bit surprised Chaeyoung arrived early.

"Oh! Ms. Park! Nice to meet you and welcome to Trinity. Was it exhausting trip from LA to here?" Chaeyoung just chuckle, if only he knows it's like a super short flight because she's so excited it feels like so fast to finally be here.

"Oh not so much, it's six hours flight and i already waiting for this opportunity so it's not exhausted at all." Chaeyoung smiled.

"Good, good! every teachers in here really adores you on how you teach music to our students back when you still a Juilliard student. One of them really recommended you." Mr. Hall said.

He continue, "But, i won't be the one who introduce you the class and your class schedule. Here we have a head of administration who arrange all class schedule along with student absents and teachers on shift."

Chaeyoung and Mr. Hall walk to administration office while they're talking. She get in to the office alone since Mr. Hall still has to greet their students in the hallways, so she just talk with the receptionist at the front alone. She lead her to the office and find a head of department in her office.

"Hello, Ms. Park. Please sit." She offer her to sit across her desk.

"My name is Hyeri Lee. I'm a head of administration here." She smile.

She's like in early thirty with a small face. All her figures are small, it's smaller than Chaeyoung. Mrs. Lee get up from her seat and find a files in her cabinet. After she found it, she take her seat again and handed the files to Chaeyoung.

"Ms. Park, this is all your schedule and classes that you will teach. There's 3  of each level from kindergarten to fourth grader." Chaeyoung a little bit surprise because for a amateur teacher like her how can she handle fifteen class all by herself.

Mrs. Lee chuckle because she notice Chaeyoung surprise face. "Calm down Ms.Park, you won't be alone because for kindergarten to fourth grader, you will be share your curriculum with Mr. Mark Tuan. He's a fresh graduate from New York University and he's been here for three months. He already got all materials from our former teacher. You may discuss with him and ask if there's something you can't understand." Chaeyoung just nod and take the files.

"So there's still half an hour for your first class and maybe after the school end, you can have a talk with Mr. Tuan."

Chaeyoung walk to her first class, it's 1st grade music lesson. It's not hard to find since she already know the building. When she open the door, her students just goof around each other on their seats, some pulled a little prank on someone, there's students who curious to play with flute and blow it randomly make other kids laugh, and there are kids who just focus on their books. Chaeyoung nervous to start her first class, she hope they can be quiet and easy to teach. When she put her stuff on her desk, she grab her marker and knock it on table.

"Hello class! may i have your attention please?" Chaeyoung's voice loud enough for them to hear and stop what they're doing, they suddenly rush to their seats.

"Thank you! hello, my name is Ms. Chaeyoung Park or you can call me Ms. Park. I'll be your music teacher for the rest of your semester.

Suddenly there's one kid who raise his hand when Chaeyoung about to tell what's today lesson. She isn't expecting someone can have a question this soon, it makes her nervous like she did something wrong. "Yes?"

"Are you Ms. Park from Juilliard who has a cute voice?" He asked. Chaeyoung widen her eyes and chuckle. She did remember when she play a song to all the students last year, someone said she has unique and cute voice. "Yes i am, may i know what's your name?" Chaeyoung replied.

"I'm timothy. last year you play me an apple song!" He still remember what song did she sang and of course because his reminder, Chaeyoung also remember it too.

"Oh hi Timothy! of course i remember you! the next day you gave me an actual bunch of apples for me! i'm grateful to have that everyday for my snacks" Chaeyoung smile at him.

"Oh, you're Ms. Chipmunk!" Little girl from the other side yell and giggling at her. Yes, when on her study tour for a week at Trinity School, there's one little girl ask what kind of animal she is if she isn't a human, the little kid said she's a cat and Chaeyoung pick a chipmunk as her choice.

She can still remember couple of students that she taught last year and she's glad it's not make her nervous because she already know how to handle.

"Well, since there are half of you know me, let's start to learn music. Okay?" They all nodded and Chaeyoung start write on a whiteboard.

"We're going to learn a rhythm!" She put an underline on words 'Rhythm' and walk back and forth while she start asking question.

"People always say beat and rhythm are similar or same but two of it it's different. Rhythm is when you give a pitch and there's a melody create. But beats is different. Beat is underlying pulse of a given piece of music, which may extend over more than a single beat. Can you give me an example?"

And there are half of the class raises their hands make Chaeyoung startled, how come this kids already had something for an example? This Ivy League Prep School really filled with smart kids.

"Let's hear one by one, from the left to the right." Chayeoung pointed to a kids who sit from left to right.

"Clock!""Shoes tap!""Heart beat!""Ball bouncing!" "Dripping faucet!"

Chaeyoung surprise that's a true examples in everyday life. These parents are a genetic gold mines, maybe she should date someone from ivy league school after all if she wants a kid who can be a music prodigy.

"That's right! good job everyone!" She stand up and grab a guitar nearby and drag a chair to the center.

"Now, since someone mention a shoe tap, a beat can create a rhythm too, but i want you to tap your shoes when i play some kids song. Your shoes must be tap match with the rhythm of this song, okay? if everyone in here can taps together without miss, i will give all of you a pudding! you have to make it synchronize until the song end, ready?" Chaeyoung challenge her students and they're all cheer.

"Yes!"

She really love her first day. She had three classes and all of them are succeed. Kids were learning from her so fast that made her always surprised by these kids intelligent. When Chaeyoung get out from her last class, someone at the door waiting for her that make her surprise and put her hand on her chest because her heart just skip a beat, it's like she having a heart attack.

The man is wearing a white shirt with dark blue knit sweater pair with grey checkered trousers. He wears a glasses and his hair is styling in half curtain hairstyle. He's so young and maybe around her age.

"Hi, i'm sorry." His chuckle make him show his dimple and his chin is pointed perfectly, he like a movie star. "

Oh hello, uhm. Who are you?" The man offered a handshake and she take it,

"Hi, i'm Mark Tuan." Chaeyoung still not notice who he is.

"Uhm, okay. Can i help you? do you need something?" Chaeyoung smile like she doesn't know who he is, He's taken aback because he thought Mrs. Lee already inform her about her young colleague.

"Uhm, i'm Mr. Jung? I'm a music teacher too? we supposed to work together for a curriculum plan?" Chaeyoung widen her eyes. Oh yes... He is a fresh graduate from NYU who already been teaching for three months. She's so embarrassed because she thought he just another student or some kid's brother.

"Oh my god i'm sorry! you look so young so i just thought you're the student or one of a caretaker to a student in here and wants to pick them up from school."

Jaehyun chuckle because she's like an innocent girl with a cute voice. "That's okay, by the way, Mrs. Lee said you already get the curriculum plan and structure, i hope someday we can discuss our teaching method after mid term when we see students' grade." Chaeyoung just nod because she still embarrassed.

"Can i have your phone number? As a colleague." Jaehyun put out his phone from his pocket and handed it to Chaeyoung.

"Oh sure, sure." She took it and dial her phone through his.

"Okay, see you later. Ms. Park." Eventually they parted ways and Chaeyoung decide to go straight to her apartment.

Chaeyoung flop herself to her bed and sighed. She's little bit exhausted because she had to calm down every classes she teach but it's a different kind of exhausted. It's like that's worth it because she loves it so she's willing to be patient and face them. 

Chaeyoung is grateful that faith lead her to this life again. She has a stable job that she dreamed of even if it's just a music teacher but she doesn't want to ask for more. Being an assistant producer is exhausted, sometimes you don't get credit you deserve or all of your idea get rejected. 

There's some empty promises to an opportunity being an artist and sometimes you wait really long to become nothing because somehow they accidentally scouted from a street or through social media, it's like they can find an artist under their noses but still they can't be content and find more, so what's the point of what they said that she can be a singer one day?

She can't ask anything anymore since this is make her comfortable, she need rest and one day if she decide to go for another shot to sing, she can find a way. In her bedroom she turn on her videocam and grab her guitar to play one her song and one cover song. 

She always does this but never intended to share it online because if she doesn't get any advice from some expert about her method of singing or is it good or bad, she isn't confident to post it, she thinks this is just mediocre. But she likes to have something just in case, if she feels like it to post or to give it to someone.

On Wednesday afternoon, Lisa is busy on the phone talking with a host of the house Jin told her in East Hamptons. Jin suddenly can't make it to Jungkook's birthday due to an emergency stuff but she didn't ask for more and just nod.

She think when Jin can't go maybe she stick to her plan for giving him a cake on midnight only, but after thinking it through after what they've been through this past months Jungkook maybe need a relaxing weekend. So, she just ask Jin for his friend number to ask to rent it for weekend. Apparently, Jin's friend know Jungkook is his brother so they just rent it for free as a birthday present.

Apart from the venue of his birthday, Lisa decide to make him a private dinner on the beach with a personal chef. With help from her dad, he contact one of his chef friend to host Jungkook's birthday dinner. After all prepared, she email the invites to all her and Jungkook friends. She decided to be more intimate to invite people who come to their wedding last month. She invite Jimin, Chaeyoung, Yoongi, Jennie, Taehyung.

Lisa just hope this will run smoothly.

Jimin get out from a meeting room to his office, it's exhausting day for him because there's some problem in warehouse so he needs to cross check every delivery of their products to all supermarkets in New York. 

Jimin isn't getting used to dealing with a delivery thing, but he learn it very fast to make a good outcome sooner for this month evaluation. He's about to go in to his office when his assistant called him. 

"Mr. Park, there's an important invitation from your friends, i'll send you to your personal email." Jimin just nod and go in. He sit on his swivel chair and heard a ding on his computer. It's Jungkook's birthday invitation. Jimin tilt his head feeling confuse.

Dear, Park Jimin

Hello, it's Lisa! Last week me and Jin oppa decided to plan a surprise party for Jungkook's surprise birthday party on Saturday but due to Jin's emergency problem, i will plan all of it. I'm inviting all of you which is me and Jungkook's friends to Hamptons for a three days weekend vacation from Friday night to Sunday. We're going to have a birthday dinner, bonfire, pool party and many more. The address of the venue is on, 201 Lily Pond Ln, East Hampton, NY 11937.

Because we're going to make it as a surprise, Jungkook and i will arrive at East Hampton on midnight. I hope all of you can arrive before midnight because i already inform a butler of the mansion to brief you guys to surprise Jungkook! i need your cooperation on this! Lol!

To make everyone comfortable to go to East Hampton, i provide each of you a car service to match your schedule arriving in East Hampton, make sure you reply this email right away so i can inform all your drivers to keep in touch with you. Thank you!

Jimin arch his eyebrows, wow for a fake wife sure Lisa is excessive to throw a luxurious birthday party. A mansion, birthday dinner, a pool party, and many more. He shake his head for Lisa be this oblivious too so he just reply her email. But, kidding aside he really need this short vacation from all this chaos at his office. He need a fresh air maybe walk and swim at the beach, hanging in front of the bonfire at night, and if there's a jacuzzi maybe he will spend on it with a beer to relax.

When Friday is coming, Jimin pack all his bathing suit and his summer outfit. He inform his driver that Lisa gave to him yesterday to pick him up at eight because he's going to work late to get his work done without someone from work call him in the middle of his weekend. Jimin come out from his apartment with a surprise face. 

Lisa is not only order a car but she order a freaking limousine. he know how much is Jungkook wealth and he's super rich, but Lisa? he doesn't know she is this rich to make an arrangement like this and this car is only for him, anyone who invited get their own limousine.

He fall asleep on the way to the address Lisa gave to him, it's a two hours drive to East Hampton from New York. When he arrived he can see two limousines park in a car port. He literally amazed because this house is a literal mansion with a big entrance way. It's a modern farmhouse design and it's magnificent. 

He wonders how much Lisa spent to rent this mansion, it could be a thousand dollar or more for one night only. When he step in to the house, there's no one in there but the butler serve him a tray of champagne and inform him that everyone is on a yard beside an entrance way he enter for preparing Jungkook's birthday surprise.

He walk to the yard and it's really big. it's a freaking grass field. It can fit two more small houses in here. "Hey, Jimin!" Taehyung wave his hand to him. "Hi, guys. sorry i'm late. I was stuck at work." Jimin smile at them. "It's fine! we're just here for an hour. but i think we should go inside." Jennie said

"Oh this is not where we're celebrating Jungkook's surprise?" Jimin asked. "No, no, the butler already prepared the decoration inside on the living room. Let's go." Yoongi put his hand on Jimin's shoulder to walk together. When they're about to go inside, they spot another limousine on an entrance way.

"It's not just us? who was Lisa invited again?" Jimin curious but they just shrugged and continue to walk. When they reach the living room, they hear a luggage being drag to upstairs but the owner still not show up. When they just sit on a couch while Jennie prepare a cake, someone walk in. Jimin sitting back in the hallway so he doesn't know who is it.

"Hi guys, sorry i'm late. I got preoccupied with my songs i didn't notice the time, glad my driver called me right away." But Jimin widen his eyes when he heard the voice, he recognized it right away. Yoongi notice how Jimin widen his eyes and chuckle, it must be awkward for them.

"Rosie!! You came! that's fine." Jennioe run to her for a hug and Chaeyoung gladly receiving it. Jimin still sit on the couch and sip his champagne the butler serve earlier. She approach Taehyung for a hug too.

"Hi Chae, did you come straight from LA?" Taehyung ask. She suddenly nervous to tell the truth so she clear her throat. "Uhm, i actually move to New York last week. i'm living here permanently."

Suddenly Jimin turn his head to her, he's surprise with her news. Why suddenly she came back?
