Chapter 16

Misty's POV

Calum drove me back to Jess's place after our little 'date' at the park. Tomorrow I had classes at the new college I was attending and after an internship I needed to be interviewed for.

"Don't worry you'll do fine."

Calum gave me a side hug walking me to Jess's door stopping and facing me.

"Well I'll see you sometime tomorrow if you're open?"

I shrugged my shoulders.

"Maybe. I have an interview with a photographer to become an intern. And I start my classes also."

Calum kissed my forehead and held my shoulders with both of his hands.

"I'll find the time tomorrow and stop by when your home so we can have some time together."

He gave me a smirk and winked. I scoffed and gave his arm a light slap.

"Goodnight Calum Hood."

"Night Ms. Roth."

He smiled and leaned down kissing me lightly on the lips.

After he left I locked the door and walked upstairs to my room realizing that my room was still messy. I haven't been sleeping here lately since I've been with Calum all this time.

I decided to fold all my clothes, laying them neatly in the wooden drawers that Jess had provided me with. Finally I could see the tan carpet of the room.

I was too lazy to wash my hair so I French braided it and washed my body instead. I realized I haven't drank anything since the breakfast this morning so I jogged downstairs to the kitchen to grab a cold water bottle from the fridge.

I noticed Jess passed out on the couch. I quietly went into her room and grabbed a fleece throw over and walked out to the couch she laid on. I covered her body with it and went back upstairs to crash.

I went to sleep right away since I have to wake up at around 8:30. I set my alarm and fell asleep.

Calum's POV

I turned of my engine as I arrived at the house. I opened the door and walked in and saw Luke watching movies on the couch.

"Hey cal where'd you go earlier?"

Luke asked getting off the couch and turning the TV off.

"I took her to the park and I dropped her off at Jess's"

"Oh that's cool. Well I'm heading to bed. Night Cal."

"Night."

I went into the kitchen to find a snack. I opened our pantry door to find nothing besides a bag of trail mix and a half empty jar of peanut butter. I made a mental note to go grocery shopping to stock up since the boys won't. Well that's the perks of living with 3 other guys.

I went into my room and removed my clothes pulling on a new pair of boxers and shorts.

I woke up the next morning hearing yelling outside of my room.

"You cheater!"

That was probably Luke.

"I won fair and square!"

And that was Michael.

"Guys shut up im talking to Jess!"

And lastly Ash.

I jumped out of bed and went to the bathroom to brush up. I combed my hair with my fingers walking out of the bathroom to see Luke lying on the couch upside down with a play station controller in his hands. Michael on the ground on his stomach playing as well.

"Morning guys!"

I shouted at them but they were too intrigued to even hear me. Walking into the kitchen to make eggs I heard Ashton talking to someone on the phone. Probably Jess.

I was pretty much alone today.

I wanted to text Misty to hang out today she was probably already at her classes though. It was 10:30 so I went to go throw a shirt on and took my keys to go grocery shopping. Before heading out the door I asked the guys if they wanted anything else before I left.

"Chips!"

Michael yelled from the exact same spot that he was in 30 minutes ago.

"Soda and cookies please."

Luke also said in the same spot as well.

Ashton didn't say anything since he was still talking to Jess so I just headed out not wasting any more time.

I arrived at the nearest store and got out walking through the automatic doors. As I walked through, on my right was a small flower boutique that had pre made bouquets. I walked over and picked up a bouquet with blue, yellow and white flowers for Misty.

Maybe she would like these later. I only did this because of a chicflic movie I watched with Mona one day and the dude in the movie got the girl in the movie flowers and she seemed happy afterwards.

I put the bouquet in my cart and picked up other items around the store. finally walking to the cash register.

I texted Misty to ask her what she was doing right now so I could drop the flowers off for her.

Misty's POV

Today I wore red capris a white shirt and a navy blue blazer. I walked downstairs to ask Jess to drop me off on the campus.

"Ready to go?"

Jess asked smoothing out her black mini skirt.

"Yup"

I said heading out the door. I noticed she didn't take her keys.

"Aren't you gonna go and grab your keys?"

I stopped and asked her before she locked the door. She shook her head and nodded to a black car whose engine was already running.

I saw a familiar figure open the door and jog up to Jess.

"Hi babe!"

Ashton said picking her up and kissing her.

"Guys!"

I yelled laughing and breaking their moment.

"Sorry Misty. I know you wish Calum was here also."

Jess said and winked at me. I widened my eyes while Ashton chuckled and got Into the car.

"We need to drop Misty at school now. Is that okay?"

I picked my head up as I hear my name.

"Yes of course anything for you my lovely lady."

Throughout the drive Ashton held Jess's hand the whole way. I missed Calum so much. Yet it's only been less than 24 hours without him.

We arrived at the campus. I was shocked to see how big it actually was.

"Have fun at school Misty!"

Ashton said in a baby voice.

"Bye mom bye dad!"

I rolled my eyes at them and stepped out of the backseat. I heard them laugh and Jess snorted. I began walking to the office.

There was a line of other students waiting to get their schedules for the year. Luckily it wasn't that long and the line move pretty quick also.

5 minutes passed before I felt a poke on my arm. I looked up and saw familiar brown eyes.

"Seth! What are you doing here?"

I was absolutely surprised. But I was also happy that I had one friend I could talk to throughout the day.

"Well I go to school here."

He laughed, his eyes crinkling at it.

"What are you 'schooling' for?"

He asked shoving his hands in his pockets.

"I'm going to become a professional photographer. What about you?"

"I've always wanted to be an architect."

Well that explains why his apartment was perfectly clean and looked cozy.

"Oh so that's why your apartment looked very architechy."

I smiled at my word making skills.

"Is that even a word?"

"Yes in my world."

By then the lady at the desk called us up.

"What is your last name dear?"

"Roth"

"First name?"

"Misty."

"Here you go. Have a great school year."

I thanked her and got out of the way waiting for Seth to get his schedule as well.

"Thank you."

Seth said as he walked away from the desk looking at his schedule.

After my 4th class I walked out of the auditorium and felt my phone buzz. it was a text from Calum. I felt like I've been waiting for this for the whole day.

-Hey what are you doing right now? (: Xx

-Just heading to lunch. (:

-Good because I'm coming to take you to lunch! Meet at the main gate?

-Alrighty see you soon!

I walked out of building C and walked to the main gate. The walk was pretty far but luckily I wore my white converse.

"Misty wait up!"

I heard a voice behind me.

"Hey!"

I greeted Seth as he gasped for air running towards me. I giggled as he held a hand up telling me to give him a moment.

"Whatcha up to?"

I asked him after he had enough air.

"Heading to lunch actually."

He scratched the back of his head and continued.

"What about you?"

"Calum's going to take me to lunch. He's meeting me at the main gate actually."

I pointed towards the large metal gate that was the biggest entrance to the campus.

"Oh I see."

"Where are you going to eat?"

"Either Starbucks or that new burger place around the corner."

We got to the main gate and said our goodbyes. I found a little wooden bench to sit on while waiting for Calum.

After about 3 minutes of waiting I took my phone out of my book bag and opened Calum's texts beginning to type something.

But before I was able to send it a familiar voice broke me from my thoughts.

"Excuse me. I was looking for my girlfriend do you know where she is?"

I looked up from my phone and saw Calum holding out a bouquet of flowers for me.

"Calum!"

I got up and gave him a hug.

"Hey babe."

He smiled kissing me. I broke the kiss quickly and held his face in my hands.

"Did I just hear the Calum Hood call me babe?"

I smiled widely at him as he laid his head on my shoulder in embarrassment.

"I was trying to be romantic."

He pouted at me leading me to his car.

"Where are we going?"

I asked as he started driving out of the campus parking lot.

"Do you wanna grab a salad or something?"

I raised my eyebrow at him.

"Are you trying to eat healthy?"

I bit my lip trying to contain my smile.

"Yeah I've been trying to work out."

He admitted. I've noticed lately that his arms at gotten bigger everyday.

"I can see that."

I poked his biceps and laughed. Calum took one hand off the steering wheel and entwined it with my hand.

"So salad it is."

"You know you don't make friends with salad right?"

"No Misty don't even -"

"You don't make friends with salad! You don't makes friends with salad!"

I started singing swinging our hands up and down.

"Oh my god."

Calum chuckled and parked the car.

"Fine I won't get a salad then."

He frowned and got out of the car and opening my door.

"Thank you salad boy."

"Stop being so mean to me."

He smiled and held my hand leading me into the restaurant.

Hey guys how's the story so far! no one even reads it but it's ok I like writing it bc it takes spare time away from me .

Oh and let's just pretend that Misty went to the interview after lunch with Calum okay.
