Chapter 36

I woke up to the sound of voices, I opened my eyes. I had my head on Tommy's shoulder. I lifted my head, Tommy looked at me. "Are you okay?" He asked, I nodded. "Why did you sleep out here last night?" "I wanted to sleep alone." I kicked the blankets off me.

"Can one of you go and wake up Cody? And can you get dressed please Lon?" Angie walked into the kitchen. "I'll wake him up." I got up and walked into the bedroom. Cody was layed on the bed without any blankets which was weird. I sat down and gently shook him.

Cody groaned and opened his eyes. "What?" He asked. "You need to get up and get ready, we're going out." I got up. "And where are the blankets?" "I didn't want you to be cold." He sat up. "Oh. Thanks." I said quietly and got out my clothes, I walked into the bathroom to change.

I put on a bikini followed by a white, simple dress. I came out and applied my makeup, I tied my bangs back and left the rest of my hair to fall naturally. After I was ready I slipped on some heels and walked out of the bedroom. "How come you slept on the couch last night?" Alli asked.

"Cody's going on a date with this girl." I said. "What?!" Angie and Alli said at the same time. "He said it's not a date, it's just two friends going out for dinner but I'm not happy with that." "Too right." Alli folded her arms. "I trust him but I just don't trust this chick." I admitted.

"You guys should follow them." Angie suggested. "Yes! Jake can come too, we can get him to find out the details today and then we'll follow." I grinend. Cody walked into the kitchen, we all went back to what we were doing.

"What did I do now?" He asked. "What are you gonna wear tonight?" I sat up on the counter. "Just leave it." He held his hand up. I rolled my eyes. "What time do you need to be back here, Codes?" Angie asked. "Um, like five? I'm picking her up at six." "Okay, where are you going?" "That Italian restraunt near the beach." "Ooo, my favorite." I jumped off the counter and walked out.

"Alright let's go before World War Three begins." Brad pushed Tom out the door, Alli and I followed. "It's him, not me." I defended myself. "He doesn't know what he needs, he'll realize soon." Brad convinced. "I'm sure it'll be too late then." I said.

We met up with the Thrupps and went to an amusement park. Jake, Alli and I were in the que for one of the rides. "So Jake, are you in?" "Yes, but if we get caught I was dragged into it." He told us. "As long as you're in, we need you to find out the details." I pointed out. "Fine." He sighed.

"Don't act like it's a chore." I scolded. "If you find him cheating will it help anything?" Jake asked. "No." "Do you love him?" "Of course." "Then why are you so desperate for this relationship to crash and burn?" I looked to the ground.

That really stuck in my head. 'Why are you so desperate for this relationship to crash and burn?' It's the fact that I couldn't answer it. Why do I want to find him cheating? Why do I want to ruin this? I guess I just don't want to be played or messed around. I love Cody so much but if he makes a single move on Jenna tonight I don't know what'll happen.

I kept quiet all day, I hardly said a word. We're back at the hotel now, Cody and I are the only ones in. Everyone else went out to eat and Cody was getting ready for his 'date'. I was sat on the couch watching tv when Cody walked in and sat next to me.

"What's wrong baby?" Cody asked, I looked at him and then looked away. "I'm scared." "Scared of what?" "I don't want you making a move on this girl, I can't stand the thought of her being able to spend the night with you and me not." "Baby-" "Nothing you can say will stop me worrying Cody. I'm scared of losing you."

"You're not going to lose me, I'm in control of me and I won't do anything I don't want to do. I'm not going to do anything with her, nothing a friend wouldn't do." He stroked my cheek, I slapped his hand away. "I love you, Lauren. I promise I won't touch her." He kissed my cheek.

"It's time you left." I pushed him away. "I love you." He waited for me to look at him, I gave in. "I love you too." I placed my lips onto his. Cody started a make out session, I couldn't deny him it. We were layed on the couch, kissing, when Cody's phone started to ring.

"Okay, I gotta go now." He got up, I sat up and waited for him to close the door. I picked up my phone and dialed Alli. "Has he left?" She answered. "Yeah, just left the room." "Okay, he hasn't left the hotel yet." "Won't he see you when he walks out?" "No, we're hidden."

"Goo-" "He's just walked past us." She whispered. "Okay, I'm just leaving." I hung up the phone and ran to the door. I ran down the hall and caught the elevator. Once I was in the lobby I ran to the exit. Jake and Alli were waiting for me outside.

"We'll sit on the bench which is near the restraunt." Alli said as we started walking. "Won't he see us?" I asked. "No." Jake said. "When they walk out we can run onto the beach before they see us." He added, I nodded. We walked around the corner and saw Cody and Jenna walking side by side.

"Okay, don't say a word." Jake put his finger on my lips. We watched them walk into the restraunt and then walked to the bench. "Why we're here and alone I need to ask you guys something." I looked at them both. "What?" Jake asked, Alli gave me wide eyes.

I knew she was telling me to stop talking but I ignored her. "You need to tell Cody about you two, I can't distract him from it forever. Someday he's going to work it out or see you together." "He won't, we're so careful." "He's already seen you kissing." Their eyes got wide.

"When?!" Jake asked. "When we were in Europe, we saw you kissing on the bus. I managed to calm him down and get him not to say anything." "So he was mad?" "Yes, but you haven't told him so I bet you've made it worse by waiting this long." I pointed out.

"I think you should tell him." I pointed to Jake. "And me and you should go out while he does it." I said to Alli. "When?" She asked. "Tomorrow." I decided. "No! That's too soon!" Jake refused. "That's it, done. Or I tell him." I sat back and folded my arms.

"Tomorrow it is." Jake agreed, I smiled smugly. We waited for at least an hour until we saw the two of them walk out of the restraunt. "Quick, move!" We got up and ran onto the beach. Cody and Jenna followed us shortly after. We were stood in the dark so we couldn't be seen.

"So your girlfriend actually let you out tonight then?" Jenna stopped walking. "She doesn't own me, I can do what I want." "She must of had something to say about this?" "She did, I told her we were just friends." Cody stood infront of Jenna.

"When do you go back to California?" "Three weeks." "I'm going on holiday to California in two weeks." "For how long?" "Two weeks." "Maye we could meet then?" Cody pulled her towards him by the waist. "I'd like that, but would Lauren mind?"

"What she doesn't know won't hurt." He smiled. "You're willing to go behind her back." She paused and ran her finger along his jawline. "For me?" "I think you're worth it." He tucked her hair behind her ear. Like he does to me. I can't believe I'm watching this.

"Am I worth a kiss?" She moved her face close to his. He hesitated but then brought his closer. "It depends how good you are." He whispered loud enough for us to hear. I watched as their lips edged closer and closer.

The second their lips touched my stomach dropped. I felt sick. I watched them as they wrapped their arms around each other. I moved forward into the light, tears started to flow from my eyes uncontrollably. Cody pulled away, I caught his attention.

His eyes locked with mine, he took a few steps back from Jenna. I could see a smirk on her face in the corner of my eye. "Are you happy?!" I looked at her. "You got what you wanted, you got your dream boyfriend." "I'm not her boyfriend." Cody stepped towards me.

"Don't get close to me." I took a step back. "You ruined everything! This was your plan since the second you set eyes on us yesterday! You knew it!" I moved towards Jenna. "Babe, I didn't make him kiss me." She smiled.

"And you! You fucking promised me!" I screamed at him. He tried to move closer to me but everytime I pushed him away. "Baby please, let me explain." His voice was so soft, regret in his eyes. But it didn't matter, he did this to us.

"Explain? I saw you! There's no way out of this!" I shouted at him. "Please, do-" "Leave me alone! I don't want anything to do with you anymore!" I yelled. "Bab-" "Don't call me baby, I'm not your fucking baby! I'm not yours anymore, I hate you!" I pulled my ring off my finger and threw it at him.

I pushed past him, he caught my wrist. I turned around and slapped him around the face as hard as I could. "Don't touch me! Don't talk to me and deffinatly do not follow me!" I shouted and ran off. I ran back to the hotel as fast as I could.

I ran to the room and slammed the bedroom door. I went into the bathroom and scrambled to through cupboards. "Lauren?!" I heard Alli shout me, I ignored her as I found what I was looking for. A razor. The tears flooded down my face as I put it onto my skin.

"Lauren! Don't!" Alli ran and dropped to her knees infront of me. She took it off me before I had the chance to cut, she held me tight. I cried into her chest. "I can't believe he did it Alli, why would he do it?" I was struggling to breathe from crying so much.

"I don't know, I really don't know." "I wanna go home." I told her. "Please don't." "No, I want my mom and I want my dad and I never want to see Cody ever again!" I sobbed into her. Alli helped me up and sat me on the bed, I heard the hotel room door open.

"Lauren? Alli?" Cody called for us. "No." I refused, Alli got up and locked the door. "He's not coming in." "I wanna go home." I cried. "Alright." She held me once again. "If I talk to mom, we might be able to get you a flight." "For tomorrow?" "For tomorrow." She told me. "I don't want to sleep with Cody tonight either."

"You can sleep in my room, I'm not going to let him hurt you any more. You really scared me when I saw you with that razor, you can't go back there. You can't." Alli told me. "It's the only way out though, Alli. It's the only way out." "It doesn't help anything in the end though, you'll get through this. I promise just never ever pick up a razor again." She begged.

After I had stopped crying, Alli and I went to her room and I got ready for bed. I called home and told my mom everything that happened. Angie came in and sat on the bed while we explained to her what had happened, she was shocked.

"I can't believe he would do that." "I know, me neither." I sobbed. "I'll get you a flight for the morning honey." She rubbed my leg. "I feel so sick. I can't get the image out of my mind. I hate him." "You hate him?" Angie questioned.

"No, I love him." I felt tears stream down my face once again. "I'm so sorry, sweetie." She held me in her arms and rocked me. I held onto her tightly and cried into her. "Honey, I'm going to go and sort out your flight for tomorrow. Get some rest." She layed me back down.

"I can't sleep, I want Cody." I confessed. "You want to talk to him?" "No." I rolled over. "I want the old Cody, I want the good one. The one I fell in love with. The one I'm still in love with." I felt the pain in my stomach as I came to the realisation. He's not mine anymore..
