We pull into- the start- of victors village, as we go past the houses all differ, getting more modern as we drive.

We go into the woods a ways before reaching a line of houses all close together, almost in a huge circle.

" Here we are." Brutus says.

" That's our house?!" I ask.

Brutus chuckles looking over at Cato.

It was breathtaking.

In all the years I've lived here in 2 I've never seen all the houses, especially these.

The house was black with a lot of tinted windows, it was breathtaking to say the least. Why was Cato never here?

" Well, come on." Cato says snapping me out of my thoughts.

" Oh, sorry."I followed him still in awe.

Brutus and Enobaria went their own way going to their house. Brutus turns around, " You behave with her Hadley!" He yells.

Cato laughs, winking at him " No promises."

Oh I promise.. I'll punch some decency back in him.

I give him a glare walking towards the house.

When I open the door it smells like Cato and bourbon, but not in a bad way, it smelled good.

Even the inside was beautiful, all of it was so dark but I liked it.

Cato came is still laughing to himself. I turned giving him a dirty look. " What?" He asks with a huge grin.

" You behave with her.." I mock.

" He was joking."

" then why are you laughing so much?" I snap.

He rolls his eyes, " Why are you getting so bothered?" He retorts.

" No promises?" I ask.

He shrugs. " Never know." He says giving me a look.

" Oh I do know.." I say quickly.

He looks me up and down again smirking before walking past me, " I'll show you where your room is."

And just like that..the conversation was over. It just floors my that he can talk like..that, then just switch the conversation like it never happened.

We walked through the living room going up the stairs where a loft is, it was all black with red LED's shining down.

" You can hang up here if you want I don't really use it." He says as we walk through it.

We reach a hallway where doors lined both sides. "You can take anyone except for the one on the far end."

" What's in there?"

" My room."

I nod, He let's me look through the rooms, I decide on the one furthest away from his, luckliy it was the nicest one out all of them.

" They'll be bringing more clothes later this afternoon for you."

" Ok."

" I'll let you get settled, I'm going to go workout downstairs."

" Ok."

He started to walk but he turned around quickly." Oh and.. My room is always open if your ever.. bored." He gives me another smile.

" Go workout.. that." I snap back.

" Just an offer." He teases giving a wink before he makes his way back down the stairs.

I watch him until I couldn't see him anymore. I just shake my head at his comment going back in my new room rearranging everything how I like it.

Though he volunteered to take me- which I had no idea why he did- I still felt like I was intruding.

I'll give him space, or at least try not to show myself to much. The house is way big enough for us to co exist.

With all the moving, the stress, and the ride here, I was tired. I sat on the bed, no sank into the bed.

I thought the beds in the Capitol were nice, this on seems so much better. It's like it purposely put me to bed as soon as I laid down.

I heard walking, or the bounce of walking beside me. I turned, hearing someone walk right next to me. My eyes shot open, for a moment I thought I was in the games someone could easily kill me if I was alseep.

A maid-avox- looks at me wide eyed. I must've scared her to. " Sorry." I mumble. She just gives a small smile continuing to do whatever she was doing.

I wiped my eyes looking around at them, they were putting my clothes in my closet.

" I told you not-" Cato comes in my room, pausing looking at me.

" Oh, well now she's up."

" Yea I just woke up."

He looks at the avoxes before looking back at me. " I told you guys to wait until she wakes up." All the Avoxes just look at him/.

" There fine, I shouldn't sleep the whole day away. What time is it?"

" 5... Well since your up, I'm going to a party. If your hungry or something there's stuff in the fridge."

" Ok."

He gives me a thumbs up walking down the stairs, I hear the door shut. Now I'm alone.. again.

Soon the Avoxes leave going to wherever.

" Thank you." I tell them as they walk out. I see a couple smile.

I wished I had someone to talk to, now I feel so..alone.

Aspen was the only one I would really to to besides Nelly. Nelly was the friend when you see her you talk, while Aspen was the one I'd go do stuff with..all the time.

Though now I know him hanging out with me all the time wasn't just being friends.

And I didn't see it, or barely did.

I wish things were different.

I sigh getting out of the bed, no point thinking about it. I can't think about it, it hurts to much. Without Cato here I can roam the house freely, see what I all got here.

I found the gym Cato was talking about, it had weight lifting, a treadmill, punching bag along with several other things. I'll need to use that.

There were a couple more bedrooms, which were kinda messy. Once I get used to it more here I'll need to clean down here.

There were a couple more bathrooms also, and lounge but there was a lot of boxes and things in it.

Once I was done adventuring I go back to the upstairs lounge watching more tv.

I turned on the Tv seeing that we have Capitol channels so I decide to watch a cheesy love show, eventually drifting to sleep again.

Again I hear loud clunking, and occasional mutters of profanities. I see a drunken Cato trying to I think find the light switch and bumped into the wall.

" I need to be quiet...." I hear him say.

Don't. Laugh.

He was about to turn on the light, I closed my eyes again until he went through turning the lights off from the other light switch.

I heard him open his door closing it again.

I waited a little bit turning off the TV, going back to my new room. I laid in my bed giving a satisfied smile.

Soon again I drifted off to sleep, when I woke up this time the sun was shining from the windows in the ceiling, the warm sun shining on my face.

I was so warm, I would stay there forever but I guess I better do something today, keep my mind off of things.

I missed my parents, it'll be good seeing them after all of this. I don't think I even saw them or Hadley's when we arrived yesterday. Today I'll go see them.

I go downstairs where Cato already was, drinking a bottle of Gatorade. He looked rough.

He half looks at me raising his bottle.

I chuckle, " Partied hard last night?"

" Maybe."

" Eat something, it'll absorb the alcohol."

He puts his head back on the table, "Already knew that. I'm making food."

" So...how do you get a car to go into town?" I ask.

" There's that button on the counter, push that. It alerts someone to come pick you up."

" Then how do you get back?"

" They wait for you until you come back."

" Perfect." I grabbed a banana off the counter making my way back upstairs, I'll get dressed and go see my parents then.

" Where are you going?" He asks lighting his head.

" I'd figure I'll go see my parents, I haven't seen them since Reaping."

" Say hi to dear old dad for me." He mumbles.

I can feel and hear the bitterness from his voice. I turn back around, wanting to clear the air.

" Ok.. we are having this conversation.." I say shortly taking a seat across from him.

He leans on his hand looking at me, He regrets what he just said. " I'm not in the mood-"

" I don't care if your in the mood or not."

" The mood.." He mimicked giving me a kiddish grin.

Why does he need to think like that all the time.

I realize I have a smile on my face from his.. accusation. It was stupid.

That seems to put him in a little better mood.

" You and I both know how out fathers are." I state.

" Maybe you should clarify your understanding of how our dads are." Cato comments getting up to grab some food.

" They're controlling. As soon as I- we- were born they planned out our whole lives. They mold us to be just like them, they talk about the glory it'll bring, how they're so proud. But forbid you have any other interests that's not from them. Then your a disappointment?"

Cato comes sitting back down, " Not far off."

" You know I'm right. That's just them in a nutshell, so you know they're stubborn, but when they're together.. there's no way your not doing to do it. That's how training started, me and you will be the greatest Peacekeepers."

He looked so done with the conversation, but I'm setting this straight so we don't have to keep having this conversation.

" I will tell you this again.. I had nothing to do with their decisions.. I just followed them."

" Didn't you think it was odd they wouldn't let you talk to me? You didn't think something was up?" He asks.

Not really asked more snapped at me.

I put my head in my hands looking at him unimpressed, " Yea, because you looked so approachable. And what was I supposed to say? Why can't I talk to you? You would've thought I was weird or something."

He looked away, " No. But you still knew something wasn't right."

" What did you want me to do Cato huh?" I question.

He stays quiet.

" You act like I wanted to be secluded from everyone else. At least you had a decent social life, I would've loved to have more friends."

" It's a lot of pressure looking good for everyone." He mumbles.

I scoff, " It's a lot of pressure trying to impress those two! I had no one to talk about it to. And no, I couldn't tell Aspen."

He bites his cheek shaking his head at me.

" Your mad because they made you go in the games, while I was getting private lessons from them. Well, look where I ended up. You can't blame me for what they made us do. Like I said, be mad at them, not me. I thought you'd know how they are."

I was getting upset having the conversation, the guilt I felt back at the hospital was coming back. They made us do this.

" Are you going to press the button or what?" Cato asks.

I glance at the button hitting it before giving him one more look now going up the stairs.

" I'm coming with you." He calls up. I ignore him going to my room to get dressed.

The clothes wasn't as extreme as the outfits I had in the Capitol, but it was still a little different. I put on an outfit, putting my hair in a low bun.

I go back down stairs waiting for Cato, In the mean time I still was gawking at the place I now live in.

My father along with the Hadley's are probably the richest families in 2, I thought our houses were nice, but they don't compare to this.

" Are you done gawking at this place yet?"

I look over to see Cato running his fingers through his messy wet hair.

" I can't get over how pretty it is."

He glances around before he walks to the door. " You'll get used to it."

I follow him out to the car, letting him go in first before I follow.

I occupy most of my time looking out the window, thinking about what I'm going to say to my parents. They watched their daughter kill kids, mutts, and their second child.

What if they don't want to see me anymore?

I shift, rubbing my arms slightly. " You'll be fine." Cato says.

I look over at him, " What?"

" Your worrying." He states, looking at me boredly.

" How do you know I'm worrying?"

Be smirks, " You move around alot and you bite your lip."

My tongue skims my lip finding it a bit tender, he's right, though I hate to say it.

" How did you talk to your parents after your games?"

He sighs, " You just do. They wanted me to do this so they acted like nothing changed besides giving them more bragging rights."

" What about your partner? How did you talk to their family?"

Cato tensed. " You let them talk to you first. Don't say anything when it's still all so new ok?" He says stern almost.

That didn't help with the anxiety. I think Cato sensed my unease. " They know you did what you needed to do to survive, kill or be killed. If they can't understand that, then they never will. It's not like you killed him."

" What do you need to do in town?" I ask trying to get off the subject to help with my nerves.

He thinks, " I need to talk to some people See my parents, my dad said I wasn't allowed back unless you were with me."

" Good thing I'm alive."

" Yea, amazing." He mumbles.

I couldn't tell if he was serious or not, I just ignored it going back to looking outside.

We arrive soon after, " Meet back here at 4." Cato says walking one direction while I go the other.

I walk to my parents house, trying to figure out what to say, Cato's words sitting in the back of my head.

" Kaylaya!" A girls voice said, almost knocking me over.

Nelly was wrapped around me. " I'm so happy your ok! Thank you, thank so much for volunteering I-I" I feel tears on my shoulder as she's latched onto me.

" It's ok, I know." I say giving her a smile.

" How are you doing?" She asks. I know what that means, How are you after Aspen.

" Still trying to recover. At least after all that it comes with a free house and more money then I need in multiple lifetimes." I try to say lightheartedly.

I mean, My best friend died and I have constant nightmares. What a life, but it's not her fault..I did this to myself.

She half smiles, I notice two guys behind her looking at the two of us, " Oh! Kaylaya... I want you to meet Archer and Vad. Archer is my boyfriend and Vad is his brother."

I realized Vad was the one guy who was in the group I was looking at.

He already had his eyes on me smiling. " Nice to properly meet you." He says.

I smile, " Nice to meet you too."

" Kay, where were you heading? You could come with us to get some food." Nelly suggests.

I look at her before glancing at Vad, " I'd love to, but I wanted to see my parents, I haven't seen them since.." I trailed off thinking of it like it was yesterday.

" Oh, well later tonight we're having a party if you want to come." She says.

"You can be my plus one." Vad says. Nelly gives me a grin.

" I would really like that, thank you." I say smiling at Vad.

Vad's smile seems to grow, " Great, be here around 6. I'll come to get you." Nelly says.

" Ok." Just what I need, drinks, a party to unwind and a guy.

On my road to recovery. I need to get out and meet more people, I want to leave my old life behind me. The life that was just training I want to live.

I continued my walk to my parents house having a little more confidence until I was standing right infront of the door.

I take a deep breath, I can do this. This is my childhood home, these are my parents, they love me.

I use all the courage I had left knocking on the door.

I take a breath.

" Hun, can you get the door!" I hear my mother say.

I hear mumbling before the door opens, My father looks at me, we stare for a couple seconds before his eyes water hugging me.

" Hey sweetheart." He says half crying.

I hug him back tightly. " Hi dad."

" Amy! Come down here!" He yells up the stairs. Pretty soon my mother was hugging me, all of us were crying hugging eachother.

" I'm so glad your ok." My dad muttered.

" They can't kill me that easily, I thought I needed to show everyone my good training I got."

I heard both of them half laugh. I don't know if they thought that was funny or not.

" Stay for lunch." My mom said. I happily obliged I missed them more then ever.

We all stayed in the kitchen, they asked mostly about the Capitol, there's only so much they really know about it besides what they see on TV.

" Yea, they had pink tattoos all over their body!"

" That's appalling." My mother mumbles shaking her head, I couldn't help but chuckle.

My father brought over the food, all of us digging in, Capitol food was always good but a home cooked meal you couldn't beat. I missed being home with everyone.

All except for Aspen. I wonder how his family was doing. I would love to go see them but I decide to listen to Cato on this one.

So I'll just ask about them, My parents should know something.

" Do you happen to know how Aspen's family is doing?" I blurt.

It seems like all sound stopped. My mom and dad seemed to tense glancing at eachother.

" They're adjusting." My father says.

" Are they doing ok?" I ask further.

My father takes a breath, thinking " It's different not having a child there anymore Kaylaya."

I take a breath, " I should've...." I trailed off, I don't want to admit I wanted to kill River, makes me feel dirty.

" I know honey..you live and you learn."

There's no learning about this. It was a mistake on my part.

" I should've. I should've killed 4. I should've killed all of them right away instead of having that plan."

I see both of my parents look at me. They looked at me differently.

" You don't wish to kill anyone Kaylaya." My mother says sternly.

" If you met him, you'd understand."

" Still."

" He didn't deserve to win." I butt.

" Then why did you team up with him?" My father asked.

Long story, one I'm not going to tell.

I look down at my plate pushing it away." I think I'm going to go."

I stand up, " Kaylaya." My father says standing up also.

" Kaylaya sweety...We didn't mean to upset you."

" I need to go, I need to meet Cato." I say, good thing It's almost 4.

" Your talking to Cato?" My father asked.

" Yea. I kinda have to."

" I wouldn't, he'll give you bad habits." My father warns.

" He won't give me bad habits."

" I just don't want you to act like him when he came back. He learned bad habits from the other victors."

I pause, " What do you mean?"

" I mean.. They all act like what they did in the arena. Monsters."

My face falls. " You think I'm a monster?"

" No, no hunny." He says, though his face says something different.

I give him a nod walking out.

" Kaylaya!" My moms calls, I keep going I hear her yell at my dad but I keep going wiping the tears off my face.

I can't tell them what happened, they would hate Aspen, what he did. That will always be secret.

And we're not monsters. Considering what they don't see, and the games we're allowed some slack.

I go back to the car, where Cato was already waiting. He looks impatient looking all around, He looked like he wanted to gut me until he realized it was me. His face went normal, before he realizes I was crying.

Then he got that expression he had when I came back from the balcony. " What happened." He says flatly.

" Nothing."

I went past him going in the car.

He comes in right after looking at me still. " Do I need to ask your parents what happened?"

" No."

He studies my face, " You had a fight?"

I shake my head looking out the window.

He stayed quiet before he talks again. " They told you to stay away from me.. didn't they?"

I turn looking at him. How would he know about that?

He did a hint of a smile. " They did.. They said I'm a bad influence, or a merciless monster." I heard the hurt in his voice.

" Is that why you needed to go talk to your parents?" I ask.

" I just knew I needed to talk to them. But, yea. They said I can't talk to you anymore until tour. They didn't take it to lightly when I said we're living together."

I couldn't help but laugh, I could only imagine the face they had. " I didn't tell my parents."

He half nodded, " Yea, I bet living with the monster wouldn't be a good topic to talk about."

I feel bad for him. Though he tries to be neutral.. his emotions poke through, this being one of the times.

I'd be the same way if my parents thought that of me. Correction: now they do.

But... We're not.

We did what we were supposed to do. We did what our district trained us to do.

We won. That's something to be proud of even though it comes with some not to great things.

It doesn't make us any less of the people we were before.

I give him smile, " Your not a monster Cato."

His eyes meet mine, " Sure about that."

" Your many..many things. But monster?" I shake my head " Not even close. There's nothing to change about you." I barely whisper.

He looks taken back by that. His mouth opens just a bit.. Did I make Cato Hadley speechless?

" Honestly. If they're going to be like that, I don't want to see them anymore." I spit being bitter. " We fought hard to come back here, They didn't need to go through what we did. Screw them."

Cato now scoffs, " I never thought I'd see the day Kaylaya Musak would say that."

I shake my head, " Maybe it took life threatening games to make me realize I don't need to impress them anymore, I- we achieved- something not many people can do. And we're richer then what our parents are combined."

Cato smiles." Parents are overrated anyways."

We reached the house, I go straight to my room I just need something to distract me, I happened to look at the clock.

4:30

Crap! I forgot I had that party.

It takes a little less then a hour to get back into town so I need to get ready now.

I go straight to my closet, digging through the clothes to find a cute outfit.

I managed to pull something together, I found a white off the shoulder with a jean skirt before brushing through my hair putting light makeup on before going downstairs.

I called for a car waiting, I heard music downstairs so Cato must be working out. I guess it's maybe better otherwise he'll ask where I was going.

The car came soon after, The timing should be just right, Nelly should be there to pick me up once I get into town.

Which I was right, I saw her just walking to where we were supposed to meet. " Kaylaya! Right on time."

I roll my eyes grinning, " Barely, but I'm here."

" You ready?" She asks.

I nod, we walk to a house more on the other side of town, it was pretty. I've went past it before but didn't know who it ever belonged to. 2 is a huge district, you can pass by the same person everyday and not know who they are.

" Who's house is this?" I ask.

Nelly smiles looking at me, " Vad and Archer's. Vad's very interested with you, Maybe there is a realtionship waiting to happen?"

I roll my eyes, " We'll see."

" So there's possibility" She nudges me. She opens the door letting me go in first.

There was a smaller group of people inside all looking at us when we walk in.

" Finally we have a new face." Someone says.

I just smile, not sure really what to do.

Vad gets up coming up to me and Nelly, " Glad you could make it."

" Yea, I had nothing better to do so I'm here." I smirk, he smiles taking my hand. " Come on, let's get you a drink."

We all sit around drinking, we talk, make jokes, everything like that. They all seem nice, hopefully this can be a new group for me.

I take the drinks like they were water, I started to not have a care in the world, honestly I'm living my best life. I'm rich, have new friends, and now a hot guy next to me, what can go so wrong?

They blast some music, all of us girls find their huge counter dancing on it, soon someone recommended we should play truth or dare, a bit childish but why not?

We all gather around, taking turns. A guy points at me, " Kaylaya, truth or dare?"

No hesitation, " Dare."

The boy smiles, " Ok, Kiss Vad."

I roll my eyes, I turn to Vad, he stars to lean in but I decide to make it more interesting. I get on his lap, pushing him back slightly.

The boys were hooting and hollaring, everyone was laughing at the two of us, but Vad didn't seem to mind.

I thought I heard the door open. The kiss was to good to really listen.

I thought someone say Hadley.

I paused, did I really just hear that?

Vad takes a few breaths, " Not to bad."

I smile leaning back in, " I'm not done yet." Our lips connect again.

" What is she doing here?!"

That was definitely Cato.

I pivot so I'm still on Vads lap, but more to the side so I can look at Cato. The alcohol was making me feel so good right now.

" Cato! Came to join the party?" I ask a huge grin appearing on my face. " We're playing truth or dare, have a seat!"

He looks at me before looking at Vad. He clenches his jaw glaring at him.

" Who brought her here?" He says, You could hear the venom laced in his trying to be calm voice.

" I did." Nelly says leaning into Archer, " Is there a problem?"

I smirk at Nelly before looking back at Cato, " I'm just here to have fun Hadley-"

" -Not the time Musak." He spits.

" Calm down man, no harm done." Vad says smiling at him as he runs his hand up and down my leg.

We need to sneak out soon.

" Shut up Blake." Cato says glaring back at him then at his hand.

He now looks at me, " Come on."

" Where we going?" I ask.

" Leaving."

No way, I'm having to much fun.

" No. I'm good."

Everyone looks at me like I just killed someone infront of them.

" Kaylaya, it's ok.." Vad says nervously.

" No." I look at Cato, " I came to have fun for just one night of my life, And that's exactly what I'm going to do. Don't worry I'm not going to steal your friends from you with my charms."

" Kaylaya get your ass up." He ordered. He was getting mad, I love seeing him mad.

" No." I say cooley.

" Get up." He says again.

" No."

I could see the steam coming out from his ears, it made me smile." Ok, who's next? Nelly?" I ask dismissing Cato.

" No one is going next, we're leaving." He grabs me off of Vad's lap throwing me over his shoulder.

" Cato! Let me go!" I yell.

" We'll talk about this later." He says to Vad before walking with me screaming.

" Put me down!"

" Will you shut up?" He snaps.

" No! Let me down, I wasn't ready to leave yet!"

" I was." He calmly says.

" You were in there for 5 minutes."

" That was enough for me."

He carried me the whole way back to the car. Once we get there he sets me down. I can try to make my great escape.

As soon as he sets me down turning around I made a break for it. I maybe got 5 feet before he grabbed me, pulling me back.

Only giving me minor whiplash. " Owww...." I whine.

" Don't run then." He argued.

" I want to go back."

" We're not going back."

" Why?"

" Because." He pushes me in the car.

" Because why?"

He rolled his eyes, " I'm way to sober to deal with your annoying ass."

He buckles me in before scooting to the other side. I sat there, not looking at him with my arms crossed.

" Take a nap." Cato instructs still looking mad as ever.

" No." I say stubbornly.

" Yes."

" Make me Hadley!" I snap glaring at him.

He smirks, " I'm the wrong person to be saying that to Musak."

Kaylaya...No.

Contain yourself.

" Your a pig..now be quiet, I'm tired." I scold putting my head on the nice cold glass.

He chuckles. I felt to tight in the car, I brought my legs up to the other seat across from me setting them on Cato's lap.

" Get you legs off of me." He says annoyed.

Time to get him back. Let's see how far I can get with him..

" Why? What's wrong with my legs here?" I asked innocently.I moved them slightly up his stomach then back down.

He glances at them then back at me taking a breath. " Stop." He warned.

" Stop what?" I asked innocently.

He takes my legs pushing them off. " Take a nap Kaylaya."

That didn't take much.

I rolled my eyes, " Fine."

It was so peaceful.. and the coldness felt so nice. I had no problem falling asleep in the car.

                        —

" Kaylaya..Kaylaya.." I hear a huge sigh, " Of course you blacked out. Lightweight." I feel the seatbelt come undone and arms going around my body.

I get hugged into Cato's chest, I have no problem nuzzling in, he was warm, outside was cold. On a normal day, no way would I be this close to him, but who wants to walk when the world is spinning in two different directions?

I hear the click off the lock, then the warmness and smell of the house. He brings me upstairs setting me down, this felt different then my bed.

I roll over, I hear him mumble something before he drapes a blanket over my body. " Thanks for carrying me." I mumble giving another drunken smile.

There was a pause, I debated saying it again not knowing if he heard it or not.

" You were awake this whole time?" He asks amused and annoyed.

I smile, mostly to myself, " Yep."

He walked over, " Really?" Flicking my head.

" Ow..." I whine, tears roll down my face, I wasn't sad but that flick hurt, plus I cry a lot when I'm drunk. I'm kinda emotional, and touchy.

" I just flicked you!"

" Well, it hurt. Now it feels like I'm going to throw up."

" This is why your staying out here tonight not in your room. I'll grab a bucket for you I guess."

He went somewhere before coming back with a bucket.

" Here, don't puke anywhere else but in here. Night." He said shortly before he walks away.

I tried going to sleep, but couldn't. I need to get tired out before I sleep. And Cato taking me from Vad didn't help.

" I'm so lonelyyyy" I started singing, pretty soon I hear footsteps.

" Kaylaya will you shut up?" Cato yells, half laughing.

I sit up" Cato...I can't help I'm lonely,all here by myself .I'm a social drunk I LOVE people."

" Doesn't mean you need to be loud."

I wave a finger at him lazily trying to focus on him "For the record Hadley, when you came home last night you were very loud."

" No I wasn't."

" I heard you whisper to yourself not to be loud."

There was silence. I smirked knowing I won.

" If I go on the other couch, will you be quiet?"

" Maybe." I say flirtatiously.

He looked at me before he scoffs to himself ;saying on the couch close to where my beanbag was. He grabs a couple blankets before turning to his side.

It's really cold up here. Doesn't he know we're rich? We can afford heat.

" Cato?"

" What?" He snapped.

" I'm cold." I whine. I make fake shivering sounds, I mean I was cold. Who gives a girl one blanket, we need 10 at least.

He didn't say anything, instead he turns back over grabbing my beanbag, pulling it so I'm right next to the couch. He sits up throwing some one his blankets on me. " Is that better." He asks bluntly.

He pulled me like I weighed nothing..wonder what else he could do?

I scoot a little closer looking at him with a smile. "You know...that was kinda hot." I blurt, not really caring. " I bet all the girls like that."

" Shut.UP." Cato says laughing. " I can't wait until your sober tomorrow."

Oh I can't either. At least right now I feel good, I forgot about what happened today, with our parents.

What assholes!

" Cato?"

" Yes, Musak?"

" I'm sad."

He takes a deep breath. " Are you going to let me sleep at all tonight?"

" I will after we talk about this. Pinky promise."

" Why are you sad?"

" Because.. I think they hurt you."

" Who hurt me?"

" My parents and your dad."

He stays quiet for a second before talking again. " They can't hurt me, not anymore then what they already did the last year."

" Don't believe a word they say ok? Your not a monster."

" I know."

" Or a bad guy, or influence, or basically anything negative they've ever said."

There was that silence again. I turned on my side looking at him. He was looking up at the ceiling, but he must've seen from the corner of my eye I was looking at him so he turned to me.

" Then what am I?" He asks.

His voice sounded different. He's always so confident, now he seems unsure. He's unsure what he is.

It's sad his own dad along with mine call him that.

I shrug, " Your a victor. A trainer. A mentor. A flirt-"

" -Flirt?" He chuckles.

" You love your girls as much as I like one night stands."

" Oh I've hear about you Musak."

I giggle making him laugh. " All good things I hope."

" You sound the total opposite of good."

I just laugh to myself, He was turned now smirking at me to.

" Your my Cato. Even though your flirt, or give me sarcasm, or dirty jokes, or try to get with me even though I gave you a chance in the car-"

" Your kinda sucking at this." He comments.

I roll my eyes, " What I'm saying is. I like you the way you are Hadley. Don't change."

His amused smirk turns into one more..real.

" Try to get to bed."

" Your not sad anymore?"

He shakes his head, " No."

I smile closing my heavy eyes. " Good."

It only took a couple seconds to fall asleep.

Sorry for the really long chapter, but I'd figure to put a little more building to their relationship
