Chapter 23:

I sighed as I poke the fire. It's been about 3 days since...the accident, we've just been traveling around. Also trying to stay low while doing so. We're all wanted criminals.. Well I am. But since they didn't find Mao's and Sora's bodies they think I probably took them and I'm gonna bring them back to life.

First of all, dead is dead. You do not bring the dead back alive. Second of all, they aren't even dead. Yet they don't know that, it's just a confusing mess. Also, I haven't talked to any of the tailed beasts in awhile. It's like they're ignoring me on purpose. Oh well.

"Rai." Ookami voice ranged out, I turned and faced him.

"Ookami." I said while nodding. He nodded back and sat next to me. No one really talked to each other, Sora and Mao were normally lost in thought all the time. I basically ruined them.

"Day three, almost day four." He said. I nodded again.

"Yeah." I heard a branch snap, I quickly stood up and looked that way. Ookami was growling dangerously low and standing protectively in front of me. I grabbed a kunai out of my pocket and narrowed my eyes.

"Who's there?" Ookami growled.

"Oh look Itachi. We found them." A voice said. A shark and another emo duckbutt came into the light of the fire.. Akatsukis.

"It seems we did." Itachi said. I raised an eyebrow. Itachi Uchiha eh?

"Are you Rai Yamada?" Sharky asked. I nodded. Sharky looked passed me and raised an eyebrow.

"Who are they?" He asked.

"My sisters." I replied emotionlessly, I threw my kunai into a tree and petted Ookami's head, he nodded and walked over to Sora and Mao, and sat protectively in front of them.

"I thought you killed them?" Itachi said..well asked. I shrugged.

"That was only a genjutsu." I confessed. Itachi and Sharky looked at each other and nodded. They both sat down around the fire. I sighed and sat down also.

"Who's the dog?" Sharky asked. Ookami growled.

"I'm a wolf, get it right." Ookami snapped. Sharky smirked.

"Wolf, dog, same thing." He said while waving Ookami off.

"Shark, dolphin, same thing." Ookami shot back. Sharky and Ookami glared at each other. I sighed again and poked the fire.

"Idiots and more idiots." I mumbled under my breath. I looked up to see Sharky and Ookami glaring at me. Itachi looked at me with an amused expression.

"Hey, you look like Itachi." Sharky said while looking between Itachi and I. I studied Itachi as he did the same to me, I shrugged. Sasuke looks like Itachi, and I look like both of them. I couldn't help but to feel there's a big part of my life missing.

"Who knows..I could be an Uchiha." I said. Itachi's eyes widen.

"Do you know Sasuke Uchiha?" He asked. I frowned and nodded. I miss the emo duckbutt.

"Yeah, you guys are brothers." I said, Itachi nodded. "You know, he's dead set on killing you. That's why he ran away to Orochimaru." I added. Itachi nodded again.

"He's naive." Itachi said. I nodded in agreement. So much nodding man.

"Anyways, we're here to recruit you and your sisters." Sharky said. I raised an eyebrow. "Do I even have a choice whether we join or not?" I asked. Sharky smirked."Looks like we got a smart one." Sharky said. I nodded.

"I rather not fight right now." I said. Sharky nodded and smirked again. "Well that was easy." He said. Itachi looked at me and nodded.

"Since that was easier than expected, we have enough time to rest before we set off to the base." Sharky said. Itachi looked over at Mao and Sora and turned towards me.

"What can they do?" He asked. I shrugged. "They can do a lot of things. Sora possesses the mangekyou sharingan and byakugan. She activated the mangekyou sharingan when she a little toddler. She advances in ninjutsu. She's also good at medical ninjutsu, taijustsu, and genjutsu. Mao is a shoton. A crystal user. She advances at taijutsu and medical ninjutsu. She's alright at ninjutsu and genjutsu." I explained. Itachi and Sharky nodded.

"I heard of the Yamada clan. Being able to possess powers of other clans." Sharky said. I nodded. "You guys all look so young, yet you all are so powerful." Sharky added. I just shrugged.

"Ookami, you're up." I ordered, Ookami nodded and ran off. He's checking the perimeters around our little base, we take turns checking it. Plus it helps us clear our minds. "Where's the dog going?" Sharky asked looking in the direction Ookami ran.

"He's checking our perimeters." I explained. Sharky nodded. I looked over at Itachi seeing him staring at me, I raised an eyebrow and he looked away.

"You remind me of someone I used to know." Itachi said. Hmm.. Itachi isn't so bad is he? I nodded. To be honest this might sound really odd, but I feel connected to Itachi. Plus we do looked semi alike.. and I never did see my real parents ever....o.o PLOT TWIST HE'S MY DAD o3o

But in all seriousness. Sasuke said the same exact thing. Honestly I don't know my life, I have no clue about myself at all.

"You know, you don't look like your sisters at all. Mao and Sora look alike, but then there's you. You don't look like them at all." Sharky said looking between the two blondes and me. I shrugged.

"I'm probably adopted. I've always had this feeling that I was. People tell me I get my hair color from my mom, people tell me I get it from my dad. Lies, all lies. I don't understand what's the truth anymore."

I always had a feeling that I wasn't really related to Mao and Sora. People always hesitated before saying I looked like my mom or dad. Pretty odd right? I never really drew any attention to it though.

"You really do look like Itachi." Sharky said. Itachi studied me for a moment before his eyes found mine..His sharingan, I quickly tried to look away..But it was too late.

"RAI!" Ookami yelled. I tiredly rub my eyes and reached my hand out to pet Ookami's head. "I'm good." I reassured. Ookami rubbed his head against my hand..(OMFG MY MIND. STOP. NO.. dirty minded people...)

"What did you do to her Itachi?" Sharky asked. I bolted up in a sitting position and glared at Itachi..Also known as my big brother. Itachi looked at me calmly, though his eyes...Shock? He was shocked, after all these years he finally found his little baby sister.

"Rain." Itachi's voice cracked a little, I nodded. Rain Uchiha. That was me. I was an Uchiha who was given up by her parents to become the one tail's host. My parents was very close to Sora's and Mao's parents, so they allowed me to grow up with them.

"What happened?" Ookami asked. I stared at Itachi and he stared back. Sasuke..Sasuke is my brother. Holy shit. ITACHI IS MY BROTHER! HOLY CRACKER SHIT. Who knew I had brothers? WHO FREAKING KNEW I WAS A UCHIHA?! Well people did but yeah.

Like I've thought about it but it's kind of weird knowing that I am an Uchiha.

"Itachi and Sasuke are my brothers." I said bluntly. Sharky and Ookami's eyes widen. "WAIT WHAT!?" They both yelled. I raised an eyebrow.

"Shut up before I kill you both." I replied darkly. They both gulped and Itachi was fighting back a smirk. Sora and Mao shifted in the dirt a little before falling back to sleep.

"I thought.. So wait does that mean Sora and Mao isn't your real sisters?" Ookami asked. I nodded. "My parents were close to Sora's and Mao's parents, I was given up..for reasons.. So I grew up with Mao and Sora believing I was their sisters, when all along I'm not." I explained. Sharky grinned at me before shaking his head.

"Interesting..." He mumbled to himself. I looked back at Itachi before he stood up and motioned me over. I hesitated before following him into the darkness. We walked a little before coming to a clearing. I looked up at the stars and moon, it was a full moon together. I smiled a little, it looked beautiful.

"Do you enjoy the stars and moon?" Itachi asked, I looked at him and nodded. Sasuke looked exactly like Itachi. Itachi nodded and smiled slightly at me.

"I do too." He said while nodding. I smiled back at him. "Ever since I was little, I never really got to sleep, so whenever I wasn't training I studied the stars. It has become a part of my life." I confessed while laughing a little. Itachi nodded before turning towards me.

He took a step towards me before bringing me into a hug. I tensed up a bit before I wrapped my arms around him. He was warm, very warm, plus he smelled good. I enjoy people who smell's good.

"I though I would never get to see you again. I was there when father gave you up." Itachi mumbled. I sighed but nodded slightly. "Well now look, you're stuck with me." I replied. Itachi let out a small laugh.

"You meant the world to me. You still do, I was heartbroken. My baby sister was leaving, and I never knew if I'll see her ever again. Sasuke constantly questioned your disappearance when finally we had to erase you form his mind. It was horrible." Itachi ranted. I fought back tears before hugging him tighter.

"I never forgot you and I'm sorry for what you have been through." Itachi whispered. I couldn't hold it any longer before I busted out crying in his arms. He held me closely as I cried into his chest.

"I will protect you with my life. I understand why you have joined the Akatsuki's. I will not let anyone put a hand on you. But you also need to be able to control your beasts. Do you understand?" Itachi asked. I nodded.

"You look just like mother." Itachi mumbled. I sniffled and wiped my nose with my sleeve. "Why? Why did you kill our whole clan?" I asked. Itachi tensed up before pulling me closer to him.

His eyes got darker before replying. "I was ordered to kill the clan. Konoha's advisers suspected that the Uchiha clan was planning a rebellion. They saw our clan as a threat. The clan was evil, they wanted to take over the village. So I was ordered to kill everyone. I couldn't kill Sasuke. I loved him too much. I told him to hate me, to grow anger for me so that one day he'll be able to avenge our clan. Become a hero." He stared blankly at the moon. I looked up at him as he looked down at me. Tears pooled around his eyes.

"Awww don't cry buddy." I said weirdly. Itachi looked at me before chuckling. I laughed and shook my head.

"You carried the burden all by yourself. Well now you don't have too...But seriously what's wrong with us Uchihas? Two of them are in the Akatsuki, and the other is teaming up with this pedo snake dude." I asked. Itachi shrugged while laughing a little. "It's life." He said. I nodded. "It's life." I repeated.

While Itachi was showing me what happened, I allowed him to see some of my memories. He saw how I actually have all tailed beast and the reason I came to the Akatsukis.

"Imouto-Chan" Itachi said. I beamed up at him as he smiled at me.

"Onni-chan" I replied. He shook his head with a big grin on his face.

"Look how much you've grown. You're beautiful...wait..Do you have a boyfriend? Who is he? Does he treat you right?" Itachi ranted. I started giggling but shook my head. Gaara. I frowned a bit. Itachi noticed and raised an eyebrow. "Thank you, but no I do not have a boyfriend." I said with a sad smile.

"That's why you have a love kanji on your wrist and a half of a heart necklace made out of sand, who has the picture of the other one tails host." Itachi said. I couldn't help but to laugh at Itachi's face. He was glaring at the necklace.

"I used to have something with him, but you know what happened. All of that is ruined." I said while shaking my head. I picked up the charm and opened it, I smiled slightly at the blushing red head. Itachi sighed and wrapped his arm around me.

"If it's true, then it isn't ruined." Itachi said. I nodded. Itachi was actually a really good older brother. Who would've guessed? I looked back up at Itachi and his eyes widen. "You..Your eyes." Itachi mumbled. I raised an eyebrow. "What about them?" I asked.

"They're activated. Already in phase three" Itachi said in amazement. My eyes widen. I knew a lot about the Sharingan because of Sora. She explained to me the phases and all of that. "Whoa" I let out a breathy laugh. Itachi nodded. I closed my eyes and opened them.

"Back to normal" Itachi said. I nodded and closed my eyes again. Then I opened them. "Activated." Itachi said. I rubbed my temples and closed my eyes again and opened them.

"That's amazing." Itachi said. I raised an eyebrow. "I don't see what's so amazing about it." I said while laughing. Itachi hugged me and started to swing me around. "My baby sister is growing up!" Itachi exclaimed. I shook my head and laughed.

"Itachi put me down!" I said while giggling. Itachi smiled at me and put my down, he then petted my head. I swatted at his hand and he laughed.

"We should get back." Itachi said. I nodded. "We don't want the mutt and dolphin to kill each other." I said while pretending to sigh. Itachi chuckled and shook his head.

"His name is Kisame." Itachi said. I nodded. "How'd you get stuck with him?" I asked. Itachi just shrugged and stretched his hand towards mine. I smiled and slipped my hand into his. Itachi is extremely tall, I'm 5 feet even he's like 5'11.

"Why is everyone so tall, and then there's me." I mumbled under my breath. Itachi let out a lively laugh, I couldn't help but to smile. Itachi didn't seem like the one who laughed a lot.

"In time little one." He said as he looked down at me. I beamed up at him, his eyes shone with amusement. We started to walk back to our campsite.

"THERE'S A DIFFERENT BETWEEN A MUTT AND A WOLF..YOU LITTLE...LITTLE.... SUSHI!" Ookami yelled. I started laughing like crazy. SUSHI SERIOUSLY OOKAMI.

"I'M NOT SUSHI, MUTT YOU BETTER SHUT UP BEFORE I KILL YOU!" Sharky yelled back. Itachi signed and shook his head. "Kisame never acts like this." He mumbled. I beamed at him. "Ookami and I have that affect on people." I replied. Itachi shook his head again and laughed.

I turned towards them seeing Ookami baring his teeth at Sharky, Sharky grabbed his sword and swung it at Ookami, in an instant I was in front of Ookami. I quickly grabbed a kunai and blocked Sharky's blade. Sharky grinned at me.

"A fast one eh?" He said as he drew his sword back, I smirked back. "Not to bad yourself...Sushi." I replied. Sharky eyes drew darker before he huffed and sat down. Itachi shook his head again and sat next to him. Ookami stuck his tongue out at Sharky before laying down.

"Your reflexes are great." Itachi said clearly proud that his sister isn't some couch potato ._. Trust I would love to be a couch potato, but I have places to go, people to protect, so that's impossible .-. Such a dragg.

"Actually they're better than most shinobis, but not as great as ours." Mao said while yawning. I turned towards her and smiled. Her hair was sticking in all these different directions, Sora quickly sat up and stretched.

"Stop shitting in her parade Mao." Sora said while shooting Mao a grin. I laughed and shook my head. "It's all good. I rather you tell me the truth, then for you to lie." I said. Mao and Sora looked at Itachi and Sushi. Mao's eyes widen.

"SASUKE!" Mao yelled as she tackled Itachi into a hug. Itachi and Mao wobbled a bit before Itachi finally balanced them. Itachi narrowed his eyes at Mao before pushing her away gently.

"I think you got me mistaken for my brother." Itachi said emotionlessly, Mao tensed up a bit at hearing Itachi's voice. She quickly pushed herself away before glaring at him.

"So you're Itachi." She said, hate filled her eyes, her fist were clenched, she was gritting her teeth, Sora and I exchanged looks before shrugging.

"Itachi is Sasuke's brother. Sasuke and Itachi are my brother." I informed them. Mao relaxed before turning towards me with wide eyes. Sora gasped before looking between Itachi and I.

"Well you didn't wait at all." Ookami mumbled. I shrugged. I honestly didn't understand why I should wait. Doesn't matter now xD

"Wait..What?!" Mao exclaimed. Sora stared at us with wide eyes. "Holy shit, you guys do look exactly alike." Sora mumbled. I nodded and looked towards Itachi, he had a calm expression on his face.

"But..I thought you were our sister." Mao said clearly confused. Your not the only one. I sighed. " Well, long story short, my real parents gave me up to become the host of the one tails. Your parents were the one who sealed the one tails in me, my parents didn't want me coming back to the leaf cause it wasn't safe so I stayed with you guys instead. We will always be sisters even if we aren't blood related." I explained.

Mao and Sora shrugged. I raised my eyebrow at them. "You're still our sister that's true, but damnnn an Uchiha eh?" Mao said. I started laughing, Sora and Mao joined in before coming over and hugging me.

"Once an Yamada, always a Yamada." Sora mumbled. I nodded. Mao looked up at Itachi before grinning at him. "NOW SINCE YOUR RAI'S BROTHER, YOU'RE MINE TOO." Mao yelled. Itachi raised an eyebrow at me, I just shrugged.

"I learned to roll with it." I said, Mao gave Itachi the puppy eyes. Itachi's eyes softened before looking away. Sora smirked at little. "She gets everyone with those." She whispered to me. I giggled softly and nodded.

"YAY HE DIDN'T SAY NO!" Mao yelled while bouncing around. She ran over to Ookami and started dancing around him. Ookami groaned inwardly before jumping around with Mao. Sora and I laughed and shook our heads.

"I come to the conclusion, Mao's bipolar." Sora said. I shrugged and nodded. "She's just indecisive" I said. Sora nodded.

Sora then turned towards Sushi and nodded. Sushi nodded back. "I'm Sora." She said with a small smile. Mr. Sushi Sharky grinned back. "I'm Kisame. Pleasure to meet you." He said. Sora smiled and bowed a little, she then turned towards Itachi.

"Itachi." She said while bowing her head alittle. Itachi nodded back. "Sora" he replied quietly. She then turned towards me and smiled. "Any news?" She asked. I shook my head. "So far everything is quiet." I informed her, she nodded and sat down while poking the fire.

I sat down next to her as I watched Mao and Ookami dance around. Mr. Sushi Sharky and Itachi were watching Mao and Ookami also.

"Are they always like this?" Sushi asked. Sora laughed and nodded. "Mao has a lot of energy, though she tends to act like a six year old."

"I can tell." Itachi replied. We all sat in silence, the only noise was Mao's laughter and the crunching of twigs under Mao's and Ookami's dancing feet/paws.

"I'm guessing everything went accordingly?" Sora said breaking the silence. I nodded. "Yeah, Itachi and Sushi came here like an hour ago. We leave when the sun rises." I informed her. She nodded again and turned towards Mao.

"Do you think she'll be okay?" Sora asked, I looked up at Mao and nodded. "She's too happy to be depressed." Sora shook her head. "Yeah, but that last time...."

My fists clenched together, I quickly erased the image from my mind. "She was.. upset." I replied slowly. Sora shook her head. "Exactly. She was upset." Sora said. I sighed and rubbed my temples.

"You guys could go back you know, they think you're dead." I said while looking up at Sora. Sora groaned quietly before rubbing her temples. "We aren't going to leave you Rai." Sora said sternly. I sighed but nodded.

"Hey Rai." Mao said while coming over, I looked up at her as she sat down on the other side of me. She grinned at me. "I really like the Akatsukis."

I smiled slightly at her and laughed. "You haven't even seen the rest of them." I replied. Mao pretty much likes everyone and everything, though if she "hates" you, you just need to give her a reason not to. In Itachi's case, him being my brother made Mao not hate him. She's such an odd child.

"AND ITACHI AND KISAME IS AWESOME!" Mao squealed. I looked over at Sora and she just shrugged. Mao grinned at Itachi and Sushi, Sushi just rolled his eyes and Itachi just raised an eyebrow. I just smirked slightly at him, he shot me a quick grin before returning his attention back on the fire.

"So how'd you find out you guys are siblings?" Sora asked. Itachi opened his mouth before closing it, he then looked over at me, then back at Sora.

"Kisame brought to my attention how much Rai looks like me, I studied her more closely seeing that she resembles mother. When I was younger I used to sneak out to the village you all lived at, I watched Rai from a distance to much sure she was safe, though I had to stop because father caught me trying to sneak out once. He said that it wasn't safe if I were to go see Rai anymore. But I still remembered what you two looked like. Today when I saw Rai I knew, I knew her somehow. Then I saw you two and knew that you looked like the other two children who Rai was living with. I used my sharingan and found out that Rai was my little baby sister. Rain Uchiha." Itachi explained.

Sora and Mao looked at Itachi with their mouth agaped. "Whoa, that's... Rain? That's her real name?" Sora asked. Itachi nodded. "The month when Rai or..Rain was born it was raining heavily. Though when she was born the rain stopped. My parents named her Rain after that. Also they said that her eyes reminded them of the sky after it rained after her birth." Itachi explained.

You can easily tell that I'm Itachi's and Sasuke's sister, expect for my eyes. That's what throws it off completely. My eyes are blue while Uchiha eyes almost as black as coal.

"Maybe that's why she loves clouds so much. Because they produce rain." Mao said. I raised an eyebrow at her and she shrugged. "She likes the sky in general. Night or day, sun or moon, stars or clouds." Sora said while laughing.

"I mostly enjoy the night, stars, and clouds. I do also like rainy days." I corrected Sora. I don't really like the sun, you can't really stare at the sun. Not interesting at all .-.

"What's so interesting about the stars and clouds?" Sushi asked. I narrowed my eyes at him. "Stars and clouds are peaceful, night is when it's easier to kill someone and hide the evidence." I replied darkly. Everyone stared at me with wide eyes.

I bursted out laughing, Ookami was the first to join before Sora and Mao joined. We started rolling around and wiping tears from our eyes. "Did you see their faces?" Ookami said between laughs. Mao would laugh then look up and point at them before bursting out laughing again. I don't understand why it was so funny, but it was.

"I don't know why we're laughing." Sora choked out before cracking up again. I nodded and agreement and wiped the tears from my eyes. I breathed in deeply before sitting up and brushing the dirt from my clothes.

"You guys are an interesting group of people." Sushi mumbled. Itachi nodded. I beamed at them and gave them the finger. Itachi growled under his breath.

"RAIN YOU ARE A LITTLE GIRL, YOU SHOULDN'T BE DOING THAT!" He roared. I looked at Sora and Mao before we all started rolling again. Itachi is such a protective older brother. Sushi looked at him with wide eyes.

"My my my Itachi, I've never seen you like this." Sushi said. Itachi huffed and sat back down. "You will not speak of this." Itachi said dangerously. Sushi smirked but nodded.

"You know what I think." Mao said out of no where. You think of a lot of things, I'm not entirely sure what though. "What?" Sora asked. Mao paused for a second before continuing.

"Well since people know how we look and since people think we're dead, but we're not shouldn't we change our appearance?" Mao said. Sora opened her mouth but closed it. She turned towards me and I nodded.

"That'll be smart." I said while nodding towards Mao. Mao grinned.

"I WANT BLONDE HAIR NOT LIKE SORA'S BUT LIKE NARUTO'S" Mao yelled. I groaned inwardly. Sora stifled a laugh and started coughing a little. I cracked a smile and started laughing. Sora shook her head, "Whatever you want Mao." Mao grinned at Sora.

"I think I'll dye my hair brown or something." Sora said while shrugging. Sora would actually look really good as a brunette. "I'll probably just keep mine." I said while shrugging.

"You guys should wear a mask." Sushi said. We all turned towards him and he shrugged. "That's true I guess. Even if we dye our hair and shit we still know people who can tell who we are even if we had blue hair." Sora said while sighing. I can tell she really misses Kosuke... I really miss that kid.

"Then we'll dye our hair and wear masks." Mao said while shrugging. I sighed and nodded. Sora smiled and nodded.

"The sun is about to come up. There's a village nearby we can go to before we head off to the base. You guys can get your stuff there." Sushi said while getting up, he grabbed his sword and started walking. Itachi nodded and followed shortly. Sora and Mao grabbed their bags and followed after them, Ookami got up and came by my side. I sighed again as I used some of my water to put out the fire. Ookami grabbed my bag with his teeth and started walking, I followed shortly.

New look, new places, new beginning.
