***

Hunter was talking to Grant who was getting ready in his own room. "I feel like Goldilocks, except instead of "too hot" or "too cold", every guy I date is either, you know, too "frat-bro"," Hunter makes her bed. "Or too "stick me with the check because you are never going to finish that screenplay working on your abs." Let's face it, I am never going to find someone." Hunter scoffed.

Hunter walked into the living room looking for her keys, unlike when she was at Tim's, she never put her keys onto a hook she just threw them onto a bench or any flat surface, Grant was making coffee.

"Yeah, well you could always date Tim." Grant suggested, grabbing Hunter's keys and showing them to her.

"Ah." Hunter grabbed them off him. "Why would I date him? He's my best friend." She said.

"Who's also ridiculously hot and you know you've got feelings for him." Grant said, handing Hunter a cup of coffee, he turned to her. "Prove me wrong. Look me in my eyes and say you don't find Tim hot or have feelings for him." Grant requested. Hunter sighed and avoided eye contact with him. Grant chuckled. "I love it when I'm right." He said.

"Whatever. I would just settle for a decent pickup line. Oh, thank God. Okay, Wow. We gotta go. Thank you." Hunter said, taking the lid for her to-go cup that Grant held in his hands, Hunter opened the door to find her aunt Esmerelda standing there. "Oh shit." Hunter muttered before looking up at her aunt and smiling. "Tía Esmeralda, ¿qué haces aquí?/Aunt Esmeralda, what are you doing here?" She asked.

"Antonio y yo nos vamos a divorciar./Antonio and I are getting a divorce." Esmerelda replied, forcing her way in.

"¿No puedes ir a casa de Ángela o de mamá?/Can't you go to Angela or Mom's?" Hunter asked turning to her aunt and following her inside.

"Eres el único familiar de mi hermana con el que hablo, Hunter./Your the only family member of my sister's that I talk to, Hunter." Esmeralda replied.

"¿Qué pasa con la tía María?/What about aunt Maria?" Hunter questioned.

"Ella me enojó, así que no hablaré con ella hasta que se disculpe./She pissed me off, so I'm not talking to her until she apologises." Esmeralda replied.

"¿Por qué os divorciáis tú y el tío Antonio?/Why are you and uncle Antonio getting divorced?" Hunter questioned, going back to what Esmerelda was actually here for.

"No quiero hablar de eso./I don't want to talk about it."

"¿Es como cuando olvidó nuestro aniversario de bodas y no hablaste con él durante dos semanas?/Is this like the time he forgot our wedding anniversary so you didn't speak to him for two weeks?" Hunter asked.

"Dije que no quiero hablar de eso./I said I don't want to talk about it." Esmeralda snapped, making her way over to the couch. "Oh, estoy segura de que mi espalda estará bien./Oh, I'm sure my back will be fine." She comments and Hunter sighed, Esmeralda looked over at her niece. "Supongo que tienes ropa de cama extra./I assume you have extra bedding." She said.

"Oh. Tía Esmeralda, no vas a dormir en el sofá. Te conseguiré un hotel./Oh. Aunt Esmeralda, you're not sleeping on the couch. I'll get you a hotel." Hunter said.

Esmerelda scoffed and Grant spoke up. "You can have my room. I can take the couch, Esmerelda." Grant offered and Hunter rolled her eyes at him.

"Thank you Grant, tell me why haven't you moved on yet. You would be a great detective." Esmerelda comments, the two of them had met before Hunter moved to New York, it was for Hunter's Light of the City award that Esmerelda some how got invited to.

Esmerelda was estranged from her family except Hunter, mainly because Hunter doesn't get involved in the feuds between Emilia and her other sister, Maria or take sides, even Angela gets involved in them and always takes her mother's side and subsequently Maria's side as well.

"I don't want to move up just yet," Grant replied checking his watch. "And speaking of moving on, we need to go." Grant looked at Hunter.

"Of course, of course but first could you take this to my room, I need to get ready for work." Esmerelda said as Grant took the suitcase into his bedroom, Esmeralda looks disapprovingly at Hunter's outfit. "Is that really what you're wearing?" She asked.

Hunter sighed. "God kill me." She muttered under her breath.

***

Hunter walked into the briefing room and sat beside Angela and Tim. "So, Aunt Esmerelda showed up at my apartment today." Hunter said to the two of them.

"Oh god." Tim and Angela groaned, both of them knowing all about Esmerelda's antics. "You know it could all be avoided if you just sided with Mom and Aunt Maria." Angela said, shrugging.

"Woah, I want no place in their conflicts, I prefer staying out of it." Hunter said when her phone buzzed she took it out of her pocket and read the message. "You're kidding." Hunter muttered under her breath.

"What's up?" Tim asked.

"So, Le envié un mensaje de texto al tío Antonio preguntándole por qué él y tía Esmeralda se estaban divorciando./I texted Uncle Antonio asking why he and Aunt Esmeralda were divorcing." Hunter said.

"Ajá, ¿por qué cambiaste al español de repente?/Uh-huh, why'd you switch to Spanish all of a sudden?" Hunter gives Tim a look. "¿Sabes qué? No importa. Dime por qué se están divorciando./You know what, never mind. Tell me why they're divorcing."

"El tío Antonio se compró un trozo de pastel de chocolate tres leches pero no le compró un trozo a Esmeralda./Uncle Antonio bought himself a slice of chocolate tres leches cake but didn't buy Esmeralda a slice." Hunter said.

"That's it?" Tim asked in shock.

"Yep, but then again this is coming from the couple that didn't speak for two weeks straight because Antonio forget the wedding anniversary." Hunter said, putting her phone away as Grey walked in shortly after Nyla who once again sat herself in the front row.

"So, Officer West, can you tell us what a "friendly" is?" Grey asked, standing at the podium.

"Yes, sir. A "friendly" is another term for a Confidential Informant." Jackson said.

"Correct. And Confidential Informants can be an incredibly useful tool." Grey replied.

Hunter and Tim shared the same look before speaking at the same time, their fellow officers were still amazed at how in sync the two were even though they've been cops for twelve or eleven years. "They're definitely tools." Tim and Hunter said.

The other officers laugh. "Are you saying you don't use them, Officer Bradford, Detective Lopez?" Grey asked the two of them.

"No, sir." Tim replied.

"Tim and I are just saying they're lying liars who lie and they need to be dominated, never allowed to think they're in control." Hunter added, Tim nodded in agreement.

"Officer Lopez, you agree with Bradford and Lopez?" Grey asked, it was confusing sometimes having two Lopezes in the same department, luckily one of a Detective and the other was an Officer.

"No, sir. C.I.'s are most useful when they think they're part of the team." Angela said smirking as she looked over at Tim and Hunter, who stared back at her.

"You're all wrong." Nyla said to the three of them.

Hunter, Tim and Angela looked at her curiously. "Please, school us, Detective." Grey said to her.

"C.I.'s are just people trying to get by. Some are psychopaths who play ball because it's the best available option, some are people in over their heads who cling to you desperately as a way out of trouble. Treating them all the same is a mistake." Nyla states as she looked back to the three, she knew Hunter was a trained TO like Tim, Angela and herself because of the TO stripes that she had and like Nyla, Hunter had the diamond under the TO stripes to denote that she's a Detective.

"Well, it's time to put these theories to the test. Nolan, Chen, part of the second phase of your training is developing your first C.I. See, you've known this day was coming, so I'm confident that you have a plan of action in place. But be forewarned -- you will be evaluated on the arrests generated by your C.I., as well as their long-term viability. So, choose wisely. Alright, that's it. Be safe." Grey said, everyone stood up and walked out.

Angela walked up and spoke to Grey.

***

Hunter saw before she and Grant went to their shop and got out on patrol. "So, who was your C.I.?" Grant asked as he put the shop in drive.

"A forger, why?" Hunter asked.

"Just wondering." Grant replied, shrugging.

"What about you, who was yours?" Hunter asked.

"Druggie, I think they ended up ODing." Grant states.

Hunter hummed as she and Grant patrolled, both wondering who Lucy would choose as her C.I. "So, how's Daisy?" Hunter asked.

"She's good, I'm seeing her tonight." Grant states.

"You'll have to tell me how it goes. You and Lucy seem to be getting close." Hunter commented.

"And your point is?" Grant asked.

"Nothing, just making an observation." Hunter shrugged.

***

Tim and Lucy were outside a pawn shop. "What are we doing here, Boot?" Tim asked.

"As you're aware, pawn shops are required by law to notify law enforcement if they believe someone is trying to pawn off stolen property. I pulled city records. This shop has never called us. Either the owner is a saint, or --" Lucy trailed off.

"Or he's dealing with a lot of stolen goods." Tim added.

"Exactly. Making them the perfect candidate for my first C.I." Lucy replied.

"Don't get too cocky, Officer Chen. Recruiting a reliable C.I. is hard work." Tim states.

Lucy's cellphone rings. It is her father calling. "Yes, sir. Sorry, my parents are..." Tim glares at her. "Uh, never mind." Lucy declines the call and puts her cellphone away as they approach the entrance to the pawn shop. "Morning." Lucy said.

"Good morning. What can I do for you?" Opal asked.

"We're doing interviews for the detectives in Robbery-Homicide. Has anyone tried to pass off stolen items recently?" Lucy asked looking around.

"No, absolutely not." Opal replied.

"How do you know they're not stolen before you buy them?"

"'Cause I'm a very good judge of people." Opal replied.

"What's your impression of me?" Lucy questioned.

"That you're a very distrustful woman." Opal replied.

Lucy looks back at Tim almost looking smug, she dials a number on her phone. "Detective Harrison, it's Officer Chen. Yeah, we're gonna need you to send Code Enforcement down to High-Life --"

A flustered Opal cuts off Lucy mid-sentence. "That's not necessary."

"Hold on, Craig," Lucy uses her other hand to block the speaker as she speaks to Opal. "If you're above board, there shouldn't be a problem, right?" Lucy asked.

Opal sighs "Okay. There may be a few things that are from questionable sources."

"Nice job." Lucy hangs up her phone and moves towards the desk. "Great, let's see it, and don't give me any of that low-end misdemeanor crap." She said.

Opal retrieves a very expensive purse from the shelf and shows it to Lucy. "Woman brought this in yesterday, and it's not the first designer bag she's brought me."

"Mm. Retails for what? Five grand?" Lucy glanced behind her at Tim for a moment.

"Six." Opal states.

"What are you looking for?" Tim asked curiously.

"These high-end bags have serial numbers sewn in. They're registered to the original buyer." Lucy finds the serial number after digging through the purse. "Yeah. Bingo."

***

Daisy is lounging by her pool in a chair reading a magazine. Lucy, Tim and Hilda approach her. "Mrs?" Daisy turns to face Lucy, Tim and Hilda. "Uh, these officers want to speak with you." Hilda explained.

"Cool." Daisy puts her magazine down to talk with Lucy and Tim. "What's up?"

"We're here about some stolen property. Do you recognize this bag?"

Daisy stands up from her pool chair to get a better look at Lucy's phone. "Yeah, I've got one just like it."

"We believe this one is yours. It was at a pawn shop." Tim states.

"We matched the serial number to your credit card purchase." Lucy added.

Daisy leaves Lucy and Tim and walks over to Hilda. "Hilda!"

"Yes, Mrs?" Hilda asked.

"You're fired." Daisy states.

"What?" Hilda asked.

"Please, don't make a scene. It'll just upset me." Daisy said, placing a hand up.

Olivia walks over to Hilda and places her hand on Hilda's shoulder. "Uh, whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey, hey. What's going on? What did you do?" Olivia asked Daisy.

"Hilda's been robbing us." Daisy states.

"I have not." Hilda argued.

"Who are you?" Lucy asked Olivia.

"This is my daughter, Olivia." Daisy said.

"Step-daughter. You were 9 when I was born." Olivia said to her.

"Olivia, do you know anything about a stolen handbag?" Lucy asked.

Tim turned to Olivia. "The description the pawn shop owner gave us fits you more than your housekeeper."

Daisy turns towards Tim and Lucy, shocked. "Yeah. Yeah, I took it. But she has so many, she didn't even notice." Olivia shrugged.

Daisy turned to her. "You are such a brat."

"You're such a parasite." Olivia snapped.

"Don't talk to your mother that way." Daisy demanded.

"You are not my mother!" Olivia yelled.

Daisy looks shocked once again, as Tim tries to defuse the situation. "Okay, calm down. Calm down. Both of you, okay?"

"I want her arrested. It's the only way she'll learn." Daisy said.

Tim goes to arrest Olivia. "Are you sure that's what her father would want?" Lucy asked.

"Her father wants whatever I tell him." Daisy said.

Tim away, followed by Lucy and Hilda. Daisy returns to her pool chair, sits down, and resumes reading her magazine.

***

Lucy is processing Olivia. She hands Olivia's boots to another officer as she takes Olivia's fingerprints. "So, where's your mom?" Lucy asked.

"Uh... She died last year. Cervical cancer." Olivia replied, sadly.

"Oh. I'm sorry." Lucy said sympathetically.

"Thanks. So, I left school to be with my dad, only to find out that he'd been hooking up with that trophy skank while my mom was in hospice." Olivia said.

"Yeah, well, you shouldn't go home tonight, once you process out." Lucy said.

"I don't have a choice. Daisy convinced my dad to hold on to the money my mom left me until after I graduate from college." Olivia replied, looking at Lucy.

"Can he do that?" Lucy asked.

"I don't know. I can't really afford a lawyer to find out." Olivia shrugged.

"Look, you are in a bad situation, but stealing, it's... it's not gonna make it better." Lucy said.

"What will?" Olivia asked. Lucy looks at Olivia, unsure of the right thing to say.

***

Nolan is sitting at a desk in the bullpen area, looking up something on a computer, when Hunter approaches him. "Hey." She said.

"Hey, how's it going?" Nolan asked.

"Good, so I heard from Nick that Henry's getting married, right?" Hunter questioned, grabbing another seat and sitting beside Nolan.

"Yeah, why?" Nolan asked. Hunter has pulled an envelope out of his suit to give to Nolan, but is cut off before she can say anything else. "Can I ask you something?"

"Yeah, sure." Hunter replied.

"I need to recruit a C.I. My first one -- she O.D.'d on me." Nolan said.

"Oh. You know what? You need a forger. They're at the hub of all criminal activity. Tell Logan in Commercial Crimes I asked him to throw some names your way." Hunter said.

"You are a live-saver. Thank you." Nolan states.

"Hey, John?" Hunter asked.

"Yeah?"

"I ran a background check on Henry's girlfriend. Don't worry, I tied it to an open investigation. No one will ever know." Hunter states.

"I-I didn't ask --" Nolan was saying.

"I know. I know. But if I were you, I'd want to take a look at what's inside." Hunter gives Nolan the envelope and walks away.

***

Hunter corners Wesley in the hallway. "Uh, hello to you too Hunter," the raven glared at him. "What's up?" Wesley asked.

"I need you to pretend to be a divorce lawyer." Hunter replied.

Lucy walked into that hallway. "Wait, why do you need him to be a divorce lawyer?" Lucy asked pointing at Wesley.

"My Tia showed up this morning, deciding that she and my Tio are divorcing because he bought himself a slice of cake but not my Tia." Hunter replied.

"My Mom showed up because my Dad didn't buy her a bagel." Lucy said.

"We've both got dysfunctional families by the sounds of it." Hunter comments and she and Lucy both turned to Wesley.

Wesley gulped slightly. "Alright, give me their numbers." Hunter wrote down her Tia's and Tio's respective phone numbers and Lucy did the same, handing it to Wesley, luckily he knew Hunter's handwriting off by heart.

"Thanks Wes." Hunter said, before walking off.

***

Tim, Hunter, Angela and Grant were all sitting together eating lunch. "God, I hope my plan works, I need my Tia out of our apartment." Hunter said, pointing at Grant.

"And how to propose we do that?" Grant questioned.

"I gave Wesley their numbers and when he gets the time, he's gonna call them and pretend to be a divorce lawyer." Hunter said smiling.

"That's clever, hopefully it works." Angela comments.

"Me too, why'd you give her your bedroom?" Hunter asked Grant, taking one of Tim's chips.

Tim and Angela stare at Grant with their mouths dropped. "You did what?" Tim asked.

"Gave her my bedroom." Grant replied shrugging.

"Why? That woman's crazy." Angela said.

"What was I supposed to do?" Grant asked.

Hunter finished slurping up her drink and threw it in the garbage before staring at her partner. "Let me call a hotel." She replied.

"We would've been late for work." Grant argued.

"Grey's met Esmerelda, he'd understand." Hunter replied, stealing more of Tim's chips before looking at her watch. "Right, lunch's over." She stood up after stealing one more chip and walked back to the shop.

***

It was night time and Hunter was walking through the bullpen when her phone rang, she saw it was her aunt. "Great." She muttered before answering. "Esmeralda, ¿qué puedo hacer por ti?/Esmerelda, what can I do for you?" She asked.

"¿Recibiste la lista de compras? Además, ¿por qué no tienes nueces?/Did you get the shopping list? Also, why don't you have any nuts?" Esmerelda asked over the phone.

"Sí, tengo tu lista de compras, tía, y no tengo nueces porque soy alérgica./Yes, I have your shopping list, aunt, and I don't have nuts because I'm allergic." Hunter replied.

"¿Desde cuándo eras alérgica a las nueces, Hunter?/Since when were you allergic to nuts, Hunter?"

"Siempre he sido alérgico a las nueces, desde el día que tu hermana, mi mamá, me dio a luz./I've always been allergic to nuts, since the day your sister, my mom gave birth to me." Hunter replied.

Before Esmerelda could speak, Hunter hung up, nodding to Lucy as she walked past her, Lucy was answering her phone as well.

***

Lucy is walking down the hallway, on the phone with her mother, she nodded to Hunter as the raven walked past. "I'm on my way home now, Mom. Yes, I got the shopping list you texted. There's no milk because I'm lactose intolerant, remember?" Lucy's phone beeped signaling that she had another call, she looked and then spoke to her mother. "Mom, I gotta go," Lucy switches the call over to Opal, who has unexpectedly called her. "Opal, what's up?" Lucy has a concerned look on her face. "Thank you." Lucy  hangs up the call and looks for Tim, finding him walking down the stairs. "Tim." Lucy said.

"Yo?" Tim asked.

"Olivia showed up at Opal's pawn shop with more of her step-mom's stuff, but she didn't want money this time. She wanted a gun." Lucy said.

***

Lucy and Tim have returned to Daisy's house; faint screaming can be heard upstairs. "Police!" Tim yelled. Suddenly, gunshots are clearly audible coming from the upstairs bedroom.

Lucy grabs her radio out as Tim pulled his service weapon out. "7-Adam-19 -- shots fired at our location. Send back-up." Tim and Lucy head up the stairs to the bedroom. More gunshots are heard.

"I hate you!" Olivia yelled at Daisy while firing the gun.

"Drop the gun!" Tim yelled.

"You turned my dad against me!" Olivia continued yelling.

"Olivia, drop the gun!" Lucy yelled.

"She ruined everything!" Olivia yelled at Tim and Lucy.

"Now!" Tim yelled.Olivia has been shooting up one of Daisy's purses, with Daisy ducking for cover on the other side of the bed. Olivia finally stops shooting and puts the gun down. "Stand up. Keep your hands up. Do not move," Lucy handcuffs Olivia while Tim retrieves the gun. "You've made this so much worse. Come on."

Daisy stands up to confront Olivia as Lucy stars to lead her out of the room. "You are gonna pay for those bags."

"Ma'am, stay right there." Lucy said.

Hilda enters the bedroom. "What's going on here?"

"What the hell are you doing here?" Daisy asked Hilda.

"I came to get the rest of my things," Hilda turned to Olivia "Wh -- Are you okay?" Olivia sobs and shakes her head no. Hilda sighs. "Officers, would you like to see where Mrs. hides all her drugs?" Hilda asked.

"Yes. Yes, we would." Lucy deadpanned. Daisy looks at Lucy and then Hilda, shocked.

***

Hunter was heading to the exit when her phone rang, she didn't recognize the number but she answered anyway. "Hello?" Hunter asked.

"Hey, it's John. Given that you gave me the background check. I want to know if I can get your opinion." Nolan said.

"Hey, Nolan. Yeah, meet at the food trucks." Hunter requested.

"Great." Nolan said in response and hung up.

***

Hunter and Nolan were sitting, drinking coffee outside the food trucks, Nolan was holding the envelope in his hand. "I'm sorry. It wasn't any of my business to run a background check on Abigail." Hunter aplogised.

"It's fine and we both know it's wrong. And yet, I still can't bring myself to throw it away," Nolan looks over at Hunter. "What if you read it? And then that way, you could just tell me if she's a serial killer or a mime." He suggested.

Hunter chuckled. "No, but I will throw it out for you." She replied.

"But --"

Hunter throws the envelope into the garbage can. "It's the right thing. Hey, if you want to know something about Abigail, you should just ask her. And then tell me." Hunter said.

"You're right. Thank you." Nolan said with a sigh.

"You're welcome." Hunter said.

Nolan stood up. "I better go, see you tomorrow Hunter."

"Bye Nolan." Hunter watched as he walked off and then grabbed the envelope out of the trash and read it, her eyes widened in shock.

She then folded the background check back into the envelope and headed to her car, driving to her apartment, contemplating if she should call Nolan when got back.

***

Hunter opened the door to her apartment and walked in noticing Esmerelda and Grant sitting on the couch playing Monopoly. "Nope, I'm going to Tim's." Hunter said closing the door again.

***

Hunter placed her keys on her dedicated hook as she stepped into Tim's house, he was standing in the kitchen making stirfry, he looked up. "Just in time. Whatcha doing here?" Tim asked, grabbing three bowls. "Lexi!" Tim yelled.

"What?!" Lexi yelled in return.

"Food!" Tim said.

Lexi came running out of her bedroom and slipping on the tiles seeing as she had socks on. "Hey Hunter, what are you doing here?" Lexi asked, taking a bowl of stir fry.

"Grant and my Aunt are playing Monopoly. Thanks." Hunter said, taking a seat and as Tim handed her a bowl with a spoon, she was sitting on the island table beside Lexi and Tim then sat beside them.

"Grant's playing Monopoly with Esmerelda?" Tim asked.

"Yep, so I'm staying here for the night." Hunter said.

"Fair enough. I've met your aunt once, she seemed to be judging me silently." Lexi commented.

"Because you're not biologically related to me," Lexi tilts her head in confusion. "Don't ask, 'cause I don't even know." Hunter shrugged.

Lexi, Tim and Hunter placed their bowls in the dishwasher and walked to the couch to watch Reruns of the Rams game that Hunter and Tim missed seeing as they were working, so Lexi recorded it because like Hunter and Tim, Lexi loved watching the sports and playing Baseball.

***

The next day, Hunter returns to her apartment wearing a pair of clean clothes that she bought from Tim's seeing as she always kept spare everything's at his house meaning her clothes from the day before were currently in Tim's washing machine.

"Morning," Esmerelda hums in acknowledgement and Hunter enters the kitchen, going to grab a coffee mug, Grant opened the bathroom door, having already showered for the day. "Where did the coffee cups go?" Hunter asked.

"Oh, I moved them next to the coffee maker." Esmerelda replied.

"I liked them above sink." Hunter replied.

"That's ridiculous." Esmerelda states.

"It is more convenient." Grant comments.

"You're the worst Grant," Hunter tilts her head in confusion. "Did -- Did... Did you rearrange the furniture?"

"Yes. There's a better flow in the room this way." Esmerelda said smiling.

"That's... That's great." Hunter said tightly and making herself a morning coffee.

***

Hunter and Grant were stuck on paperwork, seeing as it needed to be done. Hunter sighed and grabbed her phone out, having saved Nolan's number into her phone, she called him and he answered. "I read it." Hunter said, Grant looked up at her curiously and noticed she was on the phone and went back to paperwork.

"Read what? Wait... the background check? No. You threw that away. I saw you." Nolan said over the phone.

"I couldn't help myself. I mean, I dug it out of the trash after you left." Hunter said.

"No. Why? You're supposed to be the angel on my shoulder."

"But I started thinking. I mean, if this was Lexi, what I would I do? And then the next thing I knew, I was tearing it open and reading what was inside." Hunter said.

"I-Is it bad? What does it say?" Nolan asked.

"Two years ago, Abigail was charged with arson and use of a caustic substance against a former boyfriend. I'm sorry." Hunter said.

Nolan was silent for a moment. "I have to go." Nolan hung up and Hunter put her phone away.

***

After a day of paperwork and Jackson being told he can go to short sleeves, Hunter and Grant arrive back at the apartment and notice that Esmerelda's suitcase is at the door. "Oh praise the lord." Hunter muttered before walking in and speaking to her aunt. "Oye, ¿por qué está tu bolso junto a la puerta?/Hey, why's your bag by the door?" Hunter asked.

"Tu tío viene de camino a recogerme. Se disculpó. Sólo necesitaba extrañarme./Your uncle is on his way to pick me up. He apologized. He just needed to miss me." Esmerelda replied, her phone chimed and she stood up. "Oh. Él está abajo. Muy bien, cariño, ha sido una visita encantadora./Oh. He's downstairs. Alright, sweetheart, it's been a lovely visit."

Esmerelda and Hunter hug on another. "En algún momento tendremos que hablar de por qué no estás saliendo con nadie todavía. Siempre puedes salir con Timothy, mi querida sobrina./At some point we need to talk about why you're not dating anyone yet. You can always date Timothy my dear niece."

Hunter rolled her eyes, as Esmerelda hugged Grant. "Muy bien, adiós tía Esmeralda, nos vemos en otros seis meses./Alright, bye aunt Esmeralda, see you in another six months." Hunter practically pushed her aunt out the door and closed it quickly.

Hunter walked over and sat down on the couch beside Grant. "No es de extrañar que no pueda encontrar una relación sana. Mis tíos disfuncionales son la razón por la que tengo 36 años y sigo soltero./No wonder I can't find a healthy relationship. My dysfunctional aunt and uncle are why I am 36 and still single." Hunter ranted.

"You sure?" Grant asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Look, I'm just saying your only serious relationship since I've known you was with Tim, seeing as you hooked up in Iraq during the second tour there," Hunter stared at Grant in shock, wondering how he knew that. "And you dated the last three months of the Academy and your whole Rookie year, breaking up in April 2008, so that was eleven years ago."

"How the hell do you know about that hookup?" Hunter asked.

"Isabel told me after I finished my Rookie year, the same year she and Tim got married." Grant shrugged.

"Ah, that makes sense. Before either of us go to bed can you please help me get the furniture back to where it was?" Hunter begged.

"But it's better this way." Grant said.

"I know. But will you help me get it back to the way it was?" Lucy asked.

"Yes." Grant replied.

"Oh." Hunter chuckled, she and Grant stand up to rearrange the furniture.

I loved this episode.

Yes, I based Hunter's aunt and uncle off of Lucy's parents relationship.

Google translate was used for the Spanish.

This is the Chevrons that the LAPD wear and the service stripes as well.
