23:44, 12 November 2013I want to apologize for yet another delay in this story, but it has been for technical and health reasons. I can't promise to update regularly but I will try when I have the time to. So without much further delay, here is chapter thirteen.

Previously:
Aro decided to keep his comments about what his "sister" was speaking of to himself, he couldn't deny that these events were his fault. Though, he could not do much without exposing what he was. He reached up his hand and began to rub his forehead. "Fine... fine... you are right, Athen. But what do I do?"
"You do what you have always done, Aro. You use your simple gifts. You have Felix now, train him. Make him in your image so we can get this finished. I will not leave this village without my new Sister."
Aro fixed his coat and cleared his throat, even though he hadn't needed to. "Good. Now... I need your help. How will you be with... your simple gifts?"

Sulpicia couldn't sleep, she was too deep in thought about how she'd tell Aro. She heard the barn door open and she looked quickly over, suddenly feeling nervous as she saw him walk inside. He waited for the door to close before he went to her and touched her face with his hand.
"Are you alright?" He asked her in a whisper.
"I hardly know..." Sulpicia frowned, whispering back to him.

Now:
Chapter Thirteen- Heart Attack
_________________________________________________________
Aldo walked around his home, it quiet and wreaked of death still. He had moved his bed to where Sulpicia's room had been, no longer being able to stand to sleep in the same room in which he lost his wife and adopted son.
He let out a sigh as he began to light candles, not wanting the home dark anymore. What once was an escape for him, now was a death sentence. The dark wasn't safe, neither was his thoughts or that room.
A thump on the roof caught his attention as he looked up quickly, breathing in deeply at the sharp sound.
'The weather!' He thought. It just HAS to be the weather!
If only, if only....
He waited a moment to gain the usual silence, to see if he heard another sound. But there was nothing. This made Aldo sigh in relief, a chuckle leaving his thin lips at his own mind, his imagination was running wild and all it was doing was making him worry.
He turned to walk back to his rooms, but was struck with such a strong force that it made the breath leave his body. He shouted in fright, losing his balance rather quickly and felt himself begin to fall.
But whatever struck him, did not allow him to fall. But instead, caught him and slammed his body up against the wall. Candles on the nearby table fell to their sides, casting light around whatever had struck him. As his vision cleared, blurrying from the fast movements he then realized that he was against the wall, fully alone now.
But in front of him was a shape of a person, fully hooded in a black cloak that covered his or her face. The only thing that was seen was the lips, bright red but held a sadistic smile that made him shiver. He pressed himself back against the wall, squinting his eyes to see who this person was.
"Wh-who are you?!" He shouted in fright.
The human (or creature) simply and slowly, tilted its head at Aldo. It stayed that way for a brief few seconds, unmoving. Like a statue.
But as Aldo blinked, the 'creature' flew at him, grabbing his wrists in its slender hands and fingers. His whole arms were slammed against the wall as it got closer to him, his breathing increasing as he began to shake in fear.
"Your heart...I can hear it beating..." The voice that spoke to him was female, it sounded like bells chiming. There was the scent of blood that came from her mouth, it engulfed the air between Aldo and her.
"It sounds delicious..." A soft giggle left the girl, her grip tightening onto his arms and wrists. "Shall I rip it out quickly? Or shall I take it with my teeth?" She could hear his heart, working harder the more afraid he became.
"Pl-please..." He choked out as a struck of pain hit his chest. A shout of pain left his mouth as she let go of him, letting him drop to the ground. It was only then that Aldo realized she had been holding him up by his wrists. Another strike of pain hit him, making him gasp for air.
The woman, turned and left his home. His heart was weak, she could hear that. Unhealthy, fear would only add to that. She doubted the attack on his heart would be fatal, he wasn't weak enough to die from it. But then again she hoped secretly that he would.

Athenodora clapped as she saw her friend walking towards her, the nearby woods close to Aldo's home provided them with easy access to and from his home. "I could hear his shouts from here, you did not harm him too much my Dear I hope."
"Not at all Mistress Athenodora, I did exactly as you asked of me. It is the least I can do for Master Aro." The girl said with a smile on her face, watching Athenodora.
"You are more than just a simple guard, darling. For this I'm sure Aro will reward you in great lengths. I think you should be more for us." Athenodora leaned against the tree, a smile on her own face.
Surprise was all over the girls face, staring at Athen. "Oh thank you for such kind words!"
"Not at all, its the least I can say Renata." Athenodora trailed off with a smirk.

Sulpicia lay against Aro, sleeping in his arms. He stayed with her the entire night, holding her to him as he listened to her explain of what happened between her and Ben. He kept his temper in check, but he had no temper towards her, at least not anymore.
All of his anger was towards himself and the man, Ben. He told her how alright it was, how he understood, and how he hoped this would make Ben help her faster.
But how he didn't mean a word of it. How he could not stand it. He looked at her, seeing her sleeping comfortably. It made him wonder how long it had been without her having a good nights sleep.
He heard walking coming closer to the barn and his hold on Sulpicia tightened just slightly. He didn't want to wake her, but he also didn't want to let her go. The door opened wide enough for Ben to walk in and he simply just smiled upon seeing Aro.
"So, I see you are with Sulpicia again." He spoke lowly, walking towards them.
"That I am, she needed comfort." Aro said through his teeth, keeping his voice equally low.
A scoff left Benedetto as he kneeled down in front of them. "It seems that, with how much you are keeping my future wife close to you, that it is you who needs the comfort more than her."
Aro narrowed his eyes and glared at the man in front of him, containing a growl from his chest. Ben simply stood up, dusting off the coat he wore and looked down at Aro. "Now, let go of her and get the hell out. You have no claim here, no reason to stay. She's no longer your problem."
Aro glanced from him to Sulpicia and gently moved her, laying her down against hay he had previously moved closer so that she would not have to lay on the hard ground. He stood up, stepping in front of Benedetto and simply smiled. "Unlike you I do not see her as a problem. I'll do my best to send such a marriage gift." He walked past Ben in a fast pace, leaving the barn before he allowed himself to do anything harming.

"What happened to him?!" Shouted a neighbor man in the village as many people crowded around Aldo, he was laying on the examining table now in a nearby tavern, his entire body shaking as he was mumbling incoherent things.
He gripped at his chest as his body continued to shake, the physician on hand was doing his best. But with little knowledge about what happened to him, it was becoming difficult. Caius stood nearby, watching the villagers scrample around to help the man.
He hid his smile as Athenodora slid into the tavern and made her way to Caius. Upon seeing her he opened his arms and welcomed her into them. She hugged him, staying snug against his side as they watched the scene in front of them as though it was amusing.
"Humans..." Athen spoke quietly so only Caius would hear.
"Such amusing creatures..." He remarked quietyly in return.
