The next morning Lucas and I went out in the lake with the other kids. Mia refused to go in the water without me even when Lucas tried to get her to go with him.
She's seemed to take a liking to him so I thought that maybe she'd feel more comfortable going with him but she wasn't. I had to go grab something from inside and she didn't go anywhere near the lake until I got back.
So now I was standing in the lake with Mia on my hip. She kept her arms tight around my neck while looking around at the water uneasily. I know she's scared because of her nightmare last night.
"Donna, you wanna try?" Kiethie asked Donna while they were skipping rocks.
"Sure, but I stink at sports." she said.
"That's okay." Kiethie picked up a rock and I smiled when he showed her how to do it.
"He so has a crush on her." Lucas whispered to me. I nodded with a laugh. "You wanna swim Mia?" he asked my daughter.
She shook her head and hid her face in my neck.
"Oh come on. Look there's no monsters, okay?" he held his hands out to her. "There's only frogs and fishies and they won't hurt you." she still shook her head. "What if I hold you the entire time?" she looked up at me with an unsure look and I gave her a small smile.
She released her arms from around my neck and held them out to him. He smiled and lifted her onto his hip. He started walking a little deeper into the water and she lifted her feet up and away from the water.
"Hey, look it's okay." he crouched down a little into the water. It touched her bottom and she whined. "Nothing's gonna hurt you, I got ya." I watched them both with a small smile. "Look, you see the fish?"
Lucas pointed to the water a few feet away and she nodded.
"You see how tiny it is?" he laughed. "That's how small everything in the lake is. Nothing's gonna hurt you. Plus, I think you're so tough that the monsters will be scared of you." he poked her nose making her giggle.
She finally put her hands down in the water and splashed a little. My heart warmed at the interaction and my smile grew. The way he was smiling down at her and she was actually laughing instead of being afraid, it just made me happy.
I heard someone groan and looked over to see Greg hunched over holding his stomach and Roxanne standing at the shore.
"Oh my god baby are you okay?" she asked him.
"Yeah mom. I'm just glad to see you having fun." he told her. Roxanne looked at all of us before turning around and going up to the house.
Minutes later Becky came running out.
"We're not leaving Abby! We get to stay with you!" she shouted. I smiled when she ran over to me and jumped in my arms. "And we're going to the water park."
"Well, then we should go get ready huh?" I asked.
"Yep!"

We got to the waterpark and it was packed but we managed to find a spot. I set Mia down and put her sunscreen on before standing up and pulling off my shirt and shorts to reveal my bikini.
"Oh my god..." I looked over and saw Lucas staring at me. I blushed and threw my shirt at him.
"Eyes up here buddy." I told him.
"Not my fault you're hot." he whispered in my ear as he walked past me. I bit my lip and hid a smile and looked down at Mia who was eating her yogurt bites.
"Hey Lucas." Jasmine and Amber walked past us and waved at him flirtatiously. He smiled at them before holding his hand out to Bean.
I almost laughed at how offended they looked when he didn't give them a second glance. They had these swim suits on that were very revealing. At least mine covers my ass all the way.
"Let's hit the water slides!" Higgins clapped.
"C'mon mama." Mia grabbed my hand excitedly.
"Baby, they're going on the big slide." I pointed at one.
"I go with you." she said.
"You sure it's not too scary?" I brushed her hair out of her face.
"Nope. I big girl." she puffed her chest out making me and Lucas laugh.
"Well then let's go!" I picked her up and followed behind everyone else. The moms are staying back while all of us go on the waterslides. Mia had her life jacket on same with Becky and Bean.

This line was taking forever.
We've been standing in the same spot for what's felt like hours.
"Daddy, this line is taking forever." Donna spoke and all the kids voiced their agreement.
"I want mommy's milk." Bean said as he pulled on Lucas's hand.
I laughed at the look on Lucas's face of both embarrassment and annoyance.
"He wants mommy's milk, give him some mommy's milk." Dad commented. Bean then started chanting 'Mommy's milk' over and over again.
"No more mommy's milk, okay? You want milk, you're drinking regular milk." Eric told him. "Here kid." he snatched some kids milk as he passed by.
"Hey!"
Eric gave him a dollar. "Here's a buck kid, run along, run along." he turned back to Bean. "Here, drink milk right out of the carton."
"I don't know if Mommy will want me to." Bean said.
"Just drink it, okay? Just like daddy does." Eric took a sip of the milk.
"Okaaaay." Bean drank some of the milk. "I'm just like Daddy!"
"Yay!" everyone cheered him on.
"No more booby milk." Dad said.
"More for us." Kurt remarked which got him a glare from Eric.
The dads then got this great idea to cut the line and go through the back. We followed them as they pulled back a gate and slipped through.
"Dad, are we allowed to go through here?" Donna asked.
"Nope." Lucas snorted.
"Absolutely not but we're doing it anyway." Eric replied. "All right your cool dad found this back in the day."
We all went up a ladder which was quite hard with Mia but Lucas just held her when he climbed up. We got to the top and Dad peeked through a crack to see when we could go.
"All right, Charlotte. You're up first." he told the girl. She nervously bounced on her feet.
"Hey, I'll go with you." Lucas told her. She nodded and held his hand as they went through the door and slipped through the people. They got on the slide and went down without any trouble.
Then after a few minutes Dad told me to go next. I held onto Mia and slipped through. When I got to the front of the line the guy looked at me suspiciously.
My eyes widened and I gave him a flirty look making his mouth go agape and I took the chance to get on the slide and push myself and Mia down. She giggled loudly as we slid down and put her hands in the air. We got to the bottom and slid into the pool.
When I came up I saw Mia floating and laughing. I picked her up and got out of the water where Lucas was waiting for us.
"Was that fun?" he asked Mia who was practically jumping up and down from excitement.
"Again!" she clapped making us laugh.

"Mia!" Lucas exclaimed when she kept splashing his face in the pool. She only giggled even more and I laughed. "You think this is funny?" he asked me.
"Yep." I laughed making him glare at me. "Oh come on Luke, she's two. That's her idea of fun."
"Her idea of fun is splashing me in the face?" he asked as he held his hands up to block the water she was throwing his way.
"Mama!" Mia shouted and pointed at something. Lucas and I turned around and I scrunched my face up in disgust when I saw all the dads in the water that was now turning blue around them.
"Disgusting." Lucas picked Mia up and we got out of the pool. Mia was giggling which I was confused by but whatever she laughs at everything.
"Well this has been an eventful day." I commented as I crossed my arms. We started walking back over to the moms.
"Yeah, Dads pissing in a public pool, getting Mama to go under the huge bucket of water, taking shortcuts onto water slides." he listed. "What else could you ask for?"
I laughed and shook my head. Very eventful.
