"The bandages will keep you good for now, but we need to get you to the hospital immediately. We don;t know if you have any internal bleeding." The EMT said to Phoebe as she sat in the ambulance.

"Do you know if anyone else made it?" She asked.

"Besides the ones who were with you, another girl had a shoulder wound but she's going to be just fine." She answered.

Phoebe felt relief at the mention that Mindy was alright.

"W-What about um Chad, h-he was outside do you know if he's gonna be okay?" Phoebe asked frantically.

"I'm not sure honey, but you just need to stay calm and worry about getting to the hospital so you can be okay." She said.

"Please." Phoebe pleaded, and the woman gave in.

"Does anyone know if we have a young man who was found alive?" She asked over her walkie.

"We found a boy behind the shed, in bad condition, but still breathin, getting him in the rig and to the hospital." The man said.

"Thank you. Thank you." Phoebe said.

"Hey, are you okay Phebes?" Sam said walking up to the girl.

"She needs to get to the hospital to get into surgery immediately, we're gonna take her." The EMT said before loading Phoebe on the stretcher and into the ambulance.

"I'll meet you there Phebes okay." She said before the doors closed.

Once out of surgery the doctor informed Phoebe that she had a ruptured kidney that needed to be fixed up, but that it wasn't too bad. The recovery would be a long and painful one, but she was lucky to be alive. She was getting out of it alive, with 100 stitches overall and a loss in her life. But at least she was alive.

"Hey you okay?" Sam asked as she came into her hospital room.

"Yeah, the doc said she got my kidney good, but that he got it fixed right up." Phoebe said.

"Does it hurt?" She asked.

"Honestly I'm so high on painkillers right now you're practically floating." Phoebe said with a laugh.

"I'm really glad you're okay Phoebe. Chad and Mindy are gonna be okay too. Tara as well." She said with a smile.

"How are you." Phoebe asked.

"I'm okay, I few stitches, but he didn't get me that bad." She said.

"No, I mean really how are you Sam. This has all been so much and I just feel like no one has checked to see how you are, regardless of how much you got cut up." Phoebe said.

"I'm okay Phoebe, really. We're all just gonna have to get past it all. But we'll have each other and that it all we really need." She said, holding the girls hand.

"How were Sidney and Gale when you saw them last?" She asked.

"They were good, I think Sidney's gonna get out of town go back home to her family. I don't know about Gale, she's got some stuff to deal with now." She said.

"Yeah, we all do." Phoebe said.

3 months later

Phoebe made her way down the path and stopped in front of the two small stones. She placed the flowers down in front of them before standing back up.

"I'm sorry I haven't been here. I've been trying to figure out how to get here on my own terms. Trying to get here in good enough shape." She said.

"I miss you both, so much. I never really realized how much I took for granted, but now I regret not doing what I should have when you both were here. Mom, I'm sorry we always fought about small things, I should have listened to you more. But I always knew you had my best interest at heart. I never once thought I would miss your reprimanding." Phoebe said with a laugh.

"But I do, I miss everything about you mom." She said, wiping the tears as they flooded down her cheeks.

"Wes. God I hate you. I hate you for not making me take you with me to the store. I can't help but feel that it was somehow my fault that you ended up liked this. I could have kept you alive if I hadn't been so stubborn and I'm sorry. I'm sorry I wasn't a better sister and I'm sorry if I ever made you feel like you weren't a good brother. You were the best brother anyone could ask for. You were my best friend, and now you're gone, and I just- I just feel so empty and alone and I can't talk to anyone about it. Because I always just wanted to talk to you. You were my person." She said.

"Anyway, I was never one for the sappy stuff so I brought you guys some flowers. I thought you'd like them." She said, leaning down and placing them in front of the stone.

"I love you both." She whispered before she got up and walked back to her car.
