Chapter 11 :D

---------------------

Lacy's POV

***Recap***

"Err, yeah, I can do that. I have my own flat around here, I could do that." James nodded his head, my eyes went wide, what is she doing?!

"Mum?!" I threw my hands up in the air.

"Lacy do NOT start with me, we're done here, pack up," She pointed at the stairs, "oh and take James here to help you, you'll need it."

Oh...

My...

God...

I HAVE TO LIVE WITH JAMES FOR TEN DAYS?! I DON'T WANT TO DO THAT! I MEAN I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN, UGH!

I jogged up the stairs as I could tell that James was following me as well, he didn't smile, but he didn't frown, he knew how I felt about this situation.

"I don't need your help." I hissed as he opened other drawers for me as I gathered some clothes and shoved them into my suit cases.

"I'm sorry...why is it that you'll be friendly one second and snap into hating me in the next? I'm just trying to help you out and be there, but you aren't letting anyone in." James mumbled, but clear as day you could hear each word.

I shut my eyes as I sighed, he was right about that, I shut everyone out, not wanting anyone to be in my life...all James wants to do is be my friend and I keep pushing him away, what is wrong with me?

I took another deep sigh before speaking, "I'm sorry, James...I don't mean to come out that way...I can get so frustrated and I feel like shutting everyone out is the best way...please don't take it personal." I looked over at him, he was staring down at the ground, and then he moved his gaze to meet mine.

"Don't be sorry...I know how you're feeling, but you gotta let me in, darlin', please...I'm trying." James whispered as he sat down at the edge of my bed.

"Okay, you can help if you want..." I replied, going to my bathroom as I started packing my make-up, my toothbrush, and...girly things just in case...

"Wow, Lacy with lacy, would've never known." I heard James chuckle. My eyes almost popped out of my own head, I came out of the bathroom with my bag, and glared at him while he smirked at me. He had on my favorite black and pink laced bra, he looked absolutely ridiculous.

"James!" I struggled to get over to him, but he kept his hands out as I couldn't come any closer because he was pushing me back, but not in a hurtful way.

"James! Gimme...NOW!" I squealed, trying my way to attack him, but nothing I was doing was exactly working.

"Look at me, my name's Lacy and I-" I jumped on him and he landed on my furry bean bag in the corner of my room, I had straddled his waist, and gave him the biggest death glare.

"Don't I look hot?" James asked in a girly voice, he looked so stupid, like oh my god.

I groaned with an eye roll, taking it off of his body, and putting it in my suit case.

"Awww, is wittle Lacy blushing?" James laughed, the heat in my cheeks got worst, I pushed him back as I finished all of my packing.

"Alright, alrght darlin', I'm done, let's go." He smiled at me, I rolled my eyes while he took my suit cases along with him...well I was going to carry that, now just nevermind.

"Bye mum." I murmured as I slammed the door behind me after I left with James.

"Okay, so you wanna go anywhere? Out to eat? Anywhere with games? Carnival? Or just my flat?" James questioned after I had gotten settled in his car.

"Oooh! Carnival sounds sooo fun! Can we go? Can we go? Can we go? Can we go? Can we go?-" James cut me off by placing his hands on my shoulders as I was bouncing up and down like no tomorrow, he smiled.

"Yes! Only if you stop asking! Geez, you already look like a kid high on sugar...maybe we should just skip it." James smirked and then chuckled.

"Fine! I'm excited though! I love carnivals!!!" I squeaked in excitement, then shutting up real quick after realizing how I'm behaving right now.

"You're too cute, okay, so carnival, here we come." James cheered, pulling out of my driveway, and driving down the roads.

I turned on his radio and the first thing I heard was one of those over played songs, I changed the station and listened for a moment.

"If you just wanna take it slow and you just wanna take me home-" I turned it down, it kind of sounded like James a little in there, but I don't even think he sings.

"Didn't like that song?"

"I know this sounds stupid, but it kind of sounds like you in that song." I giggled.

"Aha....yeah, it's not..." James chuckled, slightly. I shrugged, turning it back up.

"Making them drool on their chinny- chin- chins, baby be mine tonight, mine tonight, baby be mine tonight yeah, and if you-" My eyes went wide after I clicked a different station...why did that sound JUST like James?

"Can you sing?" I turned the blaring music down.

"I wouldn't think so..." James shook his head fast, well okay, if he says so, "oh look we're here!" James said as if he was so happy that we got off of that topic...it's probably nothing, though if he's lying to me...I'd never forgive him...at least I shouldn't, this isn't how I like 'friends' who I can't trust.

"Wow it's dark out here." I smiled as I got out, the lights were bright and colorful, it was just perfect. The perfect night I've ever seen, though it would be so much better if no one hated me, but at least one person doesn't and that just makes me feel slightly better.

"Let's ride the biggest rollercoaster here!" James took a hold of my hand and dragged me to the long line.

"James!!! No! Please?" I pleaded, not wanting to go because of my fear of those roller-coasters, I mean what if the cart breaks or one of the tracks? What if a seat belt or the bar doesn't hold good enough, a person could fly right out of it, and don't even get me started on the HEIGHTS.

"What? Are you scared, darlin'?" James teased.

"Yes! Get me away from this death trap! Please?!" I begged even more, but not being loud where we would be making a scene, it's already loud here at the Carnival.

"It will be safe, come on." James smiled at me, pulling me more in the line.

"James! I'm serious! I'm frightened by these! Ever since I heard of that kid on the news that died from this, I've been scared since! Please, please, please don't make me go on it!!!" My eyes got kind of teary, I didn't want this to happen.

"You're safe, I promise." James whispered, his forehead touching mine.

"Please..." I whispered, still not believing what I should be.

"When I tell you you're safe, I mean it with everything." James shushed me with his lips softly on mine, I felt weak to the knees and didn't believe what was happening, but I soon relaxed and kissed back, but it stopped shortly after.

"I got you, don't worry." James inter-wined his hand with mine when we had gotten into one of the carts together, it's a two seat-er luckily.

"AHHH! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!" I screamed as we did about four loops in a row, he only laughed, I clutched on him tighter than you can imagine, screaming my head off until the ride had finally come to a stop.

"See? Wasn't that fun?" James chuckled as he walked with me out toward the Exit gate.

"No....I still hate you...." I muttered under my breath, but he heard it, only laughing at me.

"You don't." James said, jogging up to a Ferris Wheel, I followed behind him.

"James! I have a fear of freaking heights!" I stammered, my body shaking still from that roller-coaster.

"This isn't a looping, speeding, adrenaline feeling roller-coaster, this is a simple wheel that goes slow and perfect for nights like these, so you should come along and experience this moment with me." James replied back to me.

"Okay..." I whispered, nodding along after we walked together into a cart by ourselves.

"See? This won't be bad, it will be...romantic." James whispered 'romantic' knowing how I might feel about it, but it gave me butterflies instead.

"Are you scared?" He questioned as we got further in the sky above, he placed his hand in mine.

"N-no." I tried to seem brave, but he noticed, scooting me closer to his side, "I'll keep you safe...Darlin'."

We were now standing in front of a game stand.

"How much for three balls?" James asked as he dug out for his wallet.

"Only five pounds for three balls, kid." The man in the striped outfit had said, taking the money that he had handed him, and giving James three balls. I narrowed my eyes at him before he sent me a winning smile with a wink.

James threw a ball, knocking all of the cans with just one hit, ONE HIT.

"Good job! You can pick out one of the largest stuffed animals at the top, though you could keep going to win mini stuffed animals since you have two balls left." The man had explained, James let me pick the stuffed animal out, and then he handed it to me, geez, I may as well be the same size as this teddy bear.

"Wow kid, you're good, pick a mini one out." He pointed at the bottom section of the line of mini stuffed animals, there were seahorses, dolphins, and sharks...well...

"Shark please." James asked as the man handed him a mini shark.

"Thank you for playing, have a nice night." The man smiled, we waved and continued walking.

"You're really good." I commented to him when we were walking around,

"Thanks, I wanted to win you something tonight." James smiled at me.

I gasped when I saw one of the greatest things that I've layed my eyes on.

"What?! What is it?" James asked, worried expression taking over his face.

"Cotton...candy..." I pointed at the stand were the employee was grabbing a new stick and letting the soft candy swirl around it, people were picking pink or the blue kind, mmm.

"Would you like some?" James chuckled.

"Of course! But let me pay this one!" I ran over to the man.

"No, I'm paying!" James argued as he grabbed about ten pounds.

"Please?" I begged, giving out my pouty lip.

"You guys are a cute couple, it's on the house, what color?" The man chuckled, obviously amused by our arguing over who's paying.

"Oh we're-" I got cut off by James.

"Blue please." James nudged my side, I stuck my tongue out towards him, of course he stopped me because he wants free cotton candy, well alright, if I get some.

"Here you go, Madame." James handed over the stick full of goodness, I grabbed a piece from it, and let it disappear in my mouth, James took a few pieces of it and did the same.

"This is like heaven." I moaned.

"No, no, Nandos will always be heaven." James winked at me, I rolled my eyes, just enjoying the sugary floss.

"Did you have a good time tonight?" He asked me while we just parked in his driveway.

"I did, I loved it, thanks again for taking me." I thanked him whilst grabbing my suit cases and trying to grab my stuffed teddy bear, but James grabbed it as he was helping me.

"I'd do it again." James commented with a whisper like he didn't want me to hear it, awwwwwwwww.

"Your couch looks so comfy, can't wait to sleep on it." I smiled as I sat down on it.

"No! You can use the bed in my guest room, silly." James laughed, grabbing my hand, and hoisting me up as he showed me the guest room.

"Ohhh, well I don't mind the couch!" I explained to him after I put my things neatly in a corner, not wanting to ruin his neatness of his flat, it looked to beautiful, lucky him.

"Well you can't have the couch," He chuckled, then he pointed to another door, "this is your bathroom that you can use, and here is the empty closet for this room, and that's pretty much it, this is the light switch and the one next to it is a fan if you get hot or if you get cold to turn it off, you know." James explained the way of the guest room.

"I actually feel so much better to be out of my house, out of school, and not being bothered by people I dislike, you know?" I sat down at the edge of my bed, or really his bed for me.

"I understand you completely, when do you graduate?" James asked, I forgot that I graduate in four months! Wow! I cannot wait.

"About four months!" I answered him, smiling because I absolutely hate school, hate everyone in it, and hate everything about it.

"It'll come quick, I guarantee that." James added, he took a spot next to me, the bed sinking a little lower now.

"I'm sorry my mum asked you this on the spot, you probably don't want me here for all of the ten days, I don't know why she doesn't trust me enough, it's not like I have any friends from school, they all hate me and think I'm ugly which I agree with them and-" My ramble got cut off by a pair of familiar lips, I instantly had the urge to just kiss him back, my knees shake by the thought of him kissing me.

"Don't, please don't say that, you're beautiful, darlin', just believe it." James whispered with a cute smile before he left the room. I put my finger to my lips and traced them, the feeling of his lips were still there and I felt like I was on top of the world. I got up and shut the door as I changed into my pajamas, finally drifting off to sleep.
