18 - This is where you belong brother

Haruka and I made our way to school, good thing he's all better now. He said he'll go and do something first before we reached the classroom.

'Hm what's he gonna do..?' I wondered as I watched his back walk away from me, disappearing through the halls. I shrugged my shoulders and opened the classroom door, making my way inside.

"Sakura-san!"

"How are you feeling?"

"Is your wound healed?"

"Is your twin feeling better?"

Our classmates started to bombard me with questions- They're all looking at me! I'm not used to getting all the attention-

My cheeks went red as I stared at them before looking at my side, refusing to meet their gazes. "We're both feeling okay! Haru just had to do something so that's why he's not here yet" I said, spewing out my words as I scratched my neck awkwardly.

"Sakura-chan's getting shy~ Let's stop now guys!" Kiryu laughed as he went closer to me and pulled me from the others and sat me down next to Suo, Nirei, and Tsugeura.

"Thank you Kiryu-san.." I muttered out as I pursed my lips, cheeks still red.

"Where did Sakura-kun run off to?" Suo asked as he looked at me then tilted his head. "I'm not really sure" I admit as I checked my phone for the time. "I'll go and look for him" I said, standing up as I started to worry. 'Hope he's not in trouble..' I thought.

"Want some help?" Tsugeura said as he smiled over at me. I shook my head gently and waved my hand to refuse their help. "It's okay I can do it, thank you Tsugeura-san" I smiled before heading out to look for Haru.

I walked around the halls and I couldn't see him anywhere. "That only leaves the rooftop.." I said quietly, talking to myself as I made my way up to the rooftop.

I opened the door gently before stepping out, hearing Haru's and Kaji's voice in a corner. I hid myself as I listened in. 'I'm so sorry for eavesdropping Haru!'

"How'd you know I was scared?!" Haru's voice sounded so surprised, as if he was caught doing something.

"It's obvious, how would anyone not notice?" I heard Kaji say. 'Hm...What are they talking about specifically..'

"Then why did you get mad when we fought Keel? I understand the anger due to your twin's injury but the other part is different" Kaji started to explain, his voice sounds so calm. 

While listening, my soul almost jumped out of my body when I felt someone tap my shoulder. I was about to curse out loud but only felt a hand over my mouth to refrain me from making any sounds. 'Who the hell-'

"Shhhh....they're having their moment" It's Umemiya- he whispered against my ear softly, hot breath hitting my ear softly. Hiragi stood behind him who only smiled while scratching his ear.

'This man startles me way too much- How can I stay quiet?!'

"Someone sneaked in here in the middle of the night and thought they saw a ghost over there" We heard Kaji say, completely forgetting about Umemiya's hand that was still over my mouth. 'A ghost-?'

Kaji continued to talk, "He was so scared he told everyone about it. When they checked the next morning, it was only a plastic bag in a shovel" I almost let out a laugh but Umemiya's grip got tighter on my mouth, if his hand covered my nose, I would've been dead by now-

"It's just like you. You might mistake something for something else. It might be scary for you but then it's not. You can't tell what people actually think of you and that scares you. You're scared they might judge you. But then again, they never left you huh? They saw everything already and still stood side by side with you. That itself means they never looked at you because of the things you could do and couldn't do, they looked at you for who you really are." Kaji's words hitting my heart so much I might actually cry-

"From what I can see, you're the one who's not very kind to them. I don't know what happened to you but I understand how you feel. All I can say is, those friends you have now..rely on them..not only them, your twin too." Umemiya's hand finally left my mouth and he started to walk towards them- 'Oi- what are you doing?!' I ran to stop him but he already made known to everyone that we were there by clapping.

"Well said Kaji!" Umemiya said while clapping proudly. Hiragi held his  shoulder and sighed, "Hey calm down-" Hiragi said but Umemiya kept on talking. Both Haru's and Kaji's faces are red- I covered my face in embarrassment. 'I'm sorry Haru..I couldn't stop him..'

"You two have grown so much~" He sounds so proud of them-

"We didn't mean to eavesdrop I swearr!" I said, defending ourselves so they won't get the wrong idea.

"By the way Kaji, what you said earlier..you sound just like Hiragi!" Umemiya said as he wrapped an arm around Kaji's shoulder- he's shaking oh gosh-

Nothing could prepare me with what happened next..Kaji's fist landed on Umemiya's face- He just punched him- My face went pale as I walked over to him when he fell to the ground. 

"Kaji has indeed grown up..that was a good punch" I don't think it's the right time to praise him- Blood is dripping down from his nose! Kaji's face looks so pale- He ran off without another word.

"This is totally Umemiya's fault. He should've hit you once more" Hiragi said as he shook his head gently, sighing while looking at Umemiya.

"So how'd that make you feel Sakura?" I heard Umemiya say, he was looking at Haru as he sat up.

"What..uhm..."Haru looked down as words stopped coming out of his mouth. 

"Even I can't do a lot of things. There are things I'm not good at but I'm not afraid. The people here see me for who I am and I love them so much. So..count on Kaji..count on your friends..count on  your sibling Sakura and keep moving forward!" Wise words from our leader mhm mhm! I nodded my head slowly, agreeing with him. Umemiya's up on his feet now.

I walked up to Haru and rubbed his back gently. "Let's go back now Haru..Everyone's waiting for you." I smiled at him and I saw him smile forcefully before nodding his head.

"Sakura-san!"

"You two are back!"

"Is your cold gone?"

Haruka wasn't answering our classmates, he was only looking down at his feet, " What's wrong?" Nirei asked as he looked at Haru with worry.

"...I..have something to tell all of you!" He suddenly bursts out. We all just looked at him and let him continue talking.

"I've always thought it's just normal to do everything myself..I thought that's how things should be..What's worse is, I took it all out on you guys. I'm weak..I'm a poor excuse of a man..I don't deserve to be your grade captain...this is who I really am. I'm sure I'm gonna cause more trouble for you guys in the future so...so.."

"....I'm sorry.."   'Haru..' I was about to console him but Sugishita suddenly appeared behind him and kicked him- What the hell?!

"Haru!" "Sakura-san!" Both Nirei and I called out his name worriedly but the others started to attack him. I was about to stop them but Kiryu pulled me back, I looked at him to question him but he only shook his head.

"You jackass! Enough of your bullshit!" Anzai said as he held Haru's head, glaring at him.

"I feel insulted" Suo.

"That was really mean" Kiryu.

"Are you a lame ass or something? You're socially awkward and you're a pain to deal with. You've got a big attitude and we can all see that just by looking at ya." Anzai started to say, now holding Haruka's shirt tightly. "But even so..Who gives a crap about that?" 

"There's no one here who thinks of you in a bad way. You still jump into trouble without us doing anything. You'll still protect your friends..We all like you for that Sakura."

'You are very loved my sweet brother. Please don't ever doubt that'

Who knew we'll all be eating out in a cafe talking about our weaknesses-

We're all here at the Cafe where Kotoha works after Anzai suggested that we all eat out as a whole class so Haruka can get to know them a lot better.

Takanashi went up first. Who knew someone big could be afraid of bugs- Well I mean I also don't like bugs- "I hate seeing the underside of those bugs! Just thinking about it creeps me out!" Takanashi said, poor guy is trembling-

I looked over at Nirei who was writing some stuff down on his notebook. 'I guess it's important to write those down' I thought.

"I'll go next.." Tsugeura said while crossing his arms, "I...I'm deathly afraid..of ghosts!" 'ghosts-?'

"I gotta turn on all the lights at night time or else I'll get too scared..When I shampoo my hair, I keep my eyes opened!" 'E-eh- that stings!'

"Doesn't that hurt your eyes??" Kiryu asked him curiously. "It does! But still better than closing em'!" 

"You're scared of em' too, aren't ya Sakura-kun?" We both looked at Tsugeura as he talked. "No matter how much you train..You can never touch them!!"  'haha fair point'

"Okay okay we get it" Haru answered, putting his arms up to stop Tsugeura from coming any closer.

"I'm glad you understand now that everyone's the same" Suo suddenly said which made us look over at him, he was smiling. "Everyone here has weaknesses but it's nothing to be scared of"

"How about you Suo-chan, what are you afraid of?" Kiryu beamed at him. Huh I'd like to know that too..

"hm..I'm scared of Manju I guess..!"  'Manju?'

"Manju? The food?" Haru asked, his eyebrows furrowed. "Look he's starting to believe you!" Kiryu said while laughing and Suo started chuckling. "Awh I didn't think you'd believe me~" he replied, still chuckling. 'Huh..so what is it then..' I wondered.

"But Suo-san you don't like Natto right?" Nirei suddenly said while looking at Suo. He didn't answer, he looks surprised.

Our classmates started to look for Natto but Kotoha said she doesn't have any then the others said they'll go buy some but Suo stopped them.

Haruka suddenly laughed which made everyone look at him in disbelief. The silence was too loud which made Haru feel embarrassed and looked away with flush cheeks. 'So cute'

"C'mon Suo eat some Natto so Sakura-kun can laugh more!"

"Your twin hears that everyday?"  'Not everyday-'

While everyone was laughing, something caught my attention. By the window, Umemiya and Hiragi passed by then the pretty lady followed. Our eyes met then the pretty lady waved and smiled. 'Oh!'

I glanced over at Haru to see him looking out the window too. I guess he saw that as well.
