Ch. 7 The Meeting
07:57, 11 January 2023After the first day of Dream being dead, a feeling similar to determination found its way into most's bodies. Determination to find out more about Dream."Ok guys. It's time to stop grieving over this. Sure, Dream is dead but we still have Ghost Dream right? I may have been on bad terms with Dream before he died but I know Dream wouldn't have wanted us to hurt over him..." Sapnap said carefully as he tried to convince the mostly zombified group due to stress.
Though George didn't like the idea, he knew Sapnap was right. Since he found out Dream had died, all he wanted to do was hole away and cry. After all, the reason they went to go visit Dream in the first place was to try and fix the mess they all had caused. But now... now they would never get the chance to do that.
"So what do we wanna do? The meeting is in a few days and by now everyone is bound to get it and start heading to the destination." He continued. "We should definitely try to relocate Dream and have someone monitor him for the time being. Since Nikki sent out the message, people like Quackity are bound to come here for answers."
He smiled at the mention of Quackity. Sapnap hadn't seen him in a long time; last time was probably before Kinoko was made. Quackity, Karl and him had decided to try a poly relationship, and all was going great until Karl began to get amnesia. Afterwards, Sapnap had to stay with Karl to help him not forget them while Quackity drifted off. Now they have their own countries, Kinoko and Las Nevadas."Yeah, that seems smart but where to? There aren't many places we can go to without people spotting us..." George exclaimed.
"I think I have an idea," Sam said stoically.
During the time of waiting, the small groups of people did various things to get prepared. While Sam, Sapnap and George built a fairly big room for people to meet for the announcement, Nikki worked on hiding Dream which worked wonderfully for both sides.
Finally, though, the day had arrived. It was mid-morning by the time Sam and George finally finished the makeshift room, adding a roof so the storm that was said to hit later today wouldn't harm anyone inside. It was simple, but effective. Mostly Oak or Pine was used to make the large room. A dark wooded stage was place on the opposite side of the room to the door, so the first thing you would see when walking in would be the giant stage with red wool draped across it in a curtain-like way. Chairs and tables were scattered around the rest of the room. Tommy was in charge of checking to make sure there were exactly 40 chairs, but no one was sure whether he actually did it as 'he had more important things to do' according to him.
Everyone involved with the situation was quick to make things perfect before anyone arrived. They didn't want any surprises to appear before it was time to reveal them. Puffy, who has been by Dream's side since day one, carefully moved him into the massive wooden box located in the center of L'mancrater, which was covered with multiple very sturdy layers of glass so people could traverse across it without harm. Nikki followed quickly behind her.
"Well that's an eyesore... we can be definite no one will miss where to meet up..." Puffy mumbled as Dream giggled. "Hey! I'll have you know we worked VERY hard on this! It's GORGEOUS just so you know!" Sapnap huffed.
"Sure sure," Nikki said giggling as she tucked Dream into a corner.
Multiple wooden chairs were currently sprawled around everywhere, half hazardously laid there until someone came back to fix them up. Windows were one of the only things missing as this wasn't going to be a permanent structure.
"How many torches did you hang up?!?" Tommy yelled bursting through the door.
"What?! We didn't want mobs to spawn!" Sapnap yelled back. Puffy and Nikki only sighed as the two men fought.
Puffy walked over to Dream and put a hand on his shoulder. Dream immediately looked up the meet her eyes, well if he didn't have his mask on. Despite Dream being dead and not needing to hide anything nor remembering anything, he still wore his mask in most situations. It comforted him, like the clock, or cauldrons.
"Come with me Duckling, I'll take you to where you'll need to hide until we call for you ok?" Puffy smiled gently. "Okay, momma." Dream replied taking her hand.
Puffy's smile faltered for a moment as he touched her, something that Dream had noticed many times before but was yet to bring it up.
"I know what'll brighten the place up!" Tommy shouted proudly grabbing some glass blocks from his inventory."Tommy no!" Sapnap shouted.
"Relax Sapnap! I'm a design expert! I make everything better." Tommy said breaking four blocks and putting glass there.
"See? Better!" Tommy said smiling brightly.
"Ugh, we don't have time for this just let him do what he wants," George said rolling his eyes and organizing the chairs into columns. Sapnap huffed in defeat as Tommy whooped in victory.
Nikki brought Tommy outside with her to guard the door and ward off any early guests that may try to enter. Puffy hid Dream behind the curtain to the left, out of sight from anyone who wasn't on the stage.
By the time they finished, it was near evening and people started arriving in groups.
First to arrive was Philza Minecraft, with his two sons, Technoblade and Wilbur, or rather Ghostbur now. Philza was Tommy's father. With medium, blond hair and green eyes, he looked far wiser than he acted. Most notably to Dream, he wore a white and green striped bucket hat and a green robe with two large, black raven wings protruding from his back, hinting at his raven hybrid half. He seemed very kind.
Technoblade was a very different story all together. He strut into the room as if he owned it, which Dream could imagine he probably did. He had long, luscious, dull pink hair that was pulled back into a loose braid. Dazzling jewels embellished both a golden crown he wore upon his head as well as the gold rings he wore. Along with two rather large pig ears sprouting from his head, a large boar mask was attached to the top half of his face, although Dream couldn't tell if it was a mask or not if he was honest. His tan skin was covered neck to toe, dressing in fanciful clothes. A cream colored long sleeved shirt, tucked into brown pants were covered by a crimson red fuzzy cloak lined with white fur. He had an enchanted nether it's sword in its holster next to his leg, attached to a belt. Dream was scared of him.
Ghostbur looked strikingly like the old Wilbur, not that Dream would know. He had curly, shaggy brown hair, the longer parts were collected to the left of his face. He wore a large maroon beanie and a pastel yellow sweater, along with matching maroon jeans. His once dark brown eyes were dulled to a caramel while his once pale skin turned grey. Dream instantly lit up when seeing him, happy to meet a new ghost.
It was a while of random people strolling in before more relevant people came in. Next was Quackity and Slimecicle. When Dream caught sight of him he almost died a second time from how his heart, or whatever is considered to be his heart now, dropped. He wasn't sure why, but he was horrified of the tiny Mexican. Quackity was wearing what he always wore, a blue beanie with a matching blue hoodie and sweats. A little yellow duck embroidered on each. He had short black hair that peaked out beneath the hoodie and brown eyes. Dream didn't like him.
Slime was weird. He wore a basic white T-shirt and kakis with basic black glasses and had light brown eyes and hair, but the weird thing was his bright green skin. Not to mention the fact that he kept telling people to 'dap him up' or confirm that he was made of bones. Dream liked him.
BadBoyHalo showed just after. The sweet demon hybrid was an instant favorite of Dream's as he reminded him of someone he knew. The demon looked similar to a shadow, a large build with an almost black body and black hair, two red horns popping out of his hair. He had a white thin halo floating above him and his eyes were pure white, so Dream was unsure what hybrid he was. He wore a black hoodie with crimson lining the hood and sleeves. Casual black sweats to go along with his hoodie.
Soon, Karl, Tubbo and Ranboo showed up.
Karl was quite a simple guy other than his outfit. He had brown, wavy hair, matching eyes, black painted nails and white skin. His hoodie was very colorful, a mix of purple, yellow and blue with a strange symbol on the back. He seemed lost. Dream was worried about him.
Tubbo was very similar in height, hair and skin tone, however he had aqua blue eyes instead of brown eyes. He wore a much plainer outfit, a yellow and black plaid shirt with brown overalls over it. He carried a small zombie piglen child on his hip which Dream overheard was called Micheal and was his adopted son. Dream hadn't realized at first, but he later saw a set of small brown horns sprouting from his head, they were small and unnoticeable, but there along with a silver ring placed on his right one. He also had a small beige tail poking through his trousers, leading Dream to think of a goat or sheep hybrid. His obsession with bee's was a bit confusing however.Dream was confused on Tubbo.
Lastly, Ranboo was probably the most clear hybrid of them all. The only human thing about him would be the way he was shaped. It was clear based on his height and color scheme he was half enferman, but the other half was unclear to the ghost. Ranboo easily crowded above the rest of the group, his entire body was heterochrome. His right half was black with emerald green eyes, a small black horn protruded from his darker black hair. His other was pure white, with a red eye, an asymmetric white horn placed within his light grey hair. He wore a gold ring on his horn that matched the one Tubbo wore. On top of his head was a crown similar to Techno's, pure gold. Unlike his body, he wore a simple black tuxedo with a white shirt and suit pants. A Cherry red tie to finish the look up. Dream noticed a long, thin, black tail that wrapped around Tubbo's arm as they walked through the room to find somewhere to sit. He looked uncomfortable and shy. Dream felt bad for him.
Tommy, who didn't want anything else to do with the situation, went to go sit down by Philza and Ghostbur, finding nothing else to do. Nikki was by the door with Sam counting those who entered to make sure no one was missing. Luckily everyone still alive was there, so 37 in total.
As everyone settled down, Puffy and George pulled back the curtains showing an empty stage. Dream pushed himself back against the wall in nervousness. Puffy then walked to the middle of the stage as George walked down to sit with Sapnap near the front. Things went quiet as a few torches went out, making everything but the stage dim. Faintly you could hear Tommy mumbling about the stupid amount of good for nothing torches.
"Hello everyone! Thank you for coming today, as you've all heard, today we have a very important matter to discuss. And we must have everyone involved in this matter. So without further ado, let's get started!"
Puffy sighed before glancing back at Dream, then at Sapnap and George, and finally out to the crowd. She took a moment to look carefully at everyone.
Techno and Quackity were standing up unlike everyone else. Techno was with Philza, Tommy, and Ghostbur while Quackity was standing by Sapnap, Karl, and George. He looked like he didn't want to be here. Slimecicle was also sitting near Quackity.
Badboyhalo was sitting with Skeppy, Ponk, Foolish, and Sam. All of which either looked uncomfortable or unconcerned.
Ant was sitting in the back with Eret, Fundy, Jack, and Michael. The random group seemed to have nowhere else to sit being as they were the last people to sit down.
Ranboo, Tubbo, and their child, Micheal were sitting in the front as well. None of them looked too concerned about the meeting. Punz, Callahan, Alyssa, Hannah, Purpled, Conner, and HBomb seemed to have met the same fate Ant's group did. Puffy smiled faintly before shedding a tear. Finally, she spoke in a loud powerful voice.
"Four days ago, something horrible took place. Dream, the owner of the SMP... He died." Puffy looked down as she blinked away tears. Various gasps and shouts were heard.
Many voices started asking questions, ech overlapping with louder ones as the fought to be heard. Some seemed happy, others seemed unfazed. One question stuck out though.
"Where is Dream?"
Puffy held her hand up to silence them. Quickly, they all shut up. She looked to her left to see Dream gone.
A shot of panic struck through her before she saw the floating clock and realized he was there, just transparent. He was curled up in a ball shaking slightly.
She put a finger to her mouth and shushed everyone."You're scaring him! Be quiet!" She spoke quietly before walking over to him and coaxing him out.
"Everyone, here is Dream!"
