"Great! You both know each other already?" Dad said with a smile. Wow! I am really his daughter. We were both great at pretending.

"No! I don't know him, dad! He just a random creep who insulted me."

"Excuse me? I'm not a creep! you fake barbie!"

I felt veins popping out on my head. He's getting into my nerves.

"Ahh, Kids." The old guy said while chuckling. Did he think that this is a joke? I will never marry a man that I don't love!

"I'm sure he's just teasing you, y/n to light up the mood," Dad replied, He stared at me with those dead eyes. I felt kinda scared. I went back to my seat, crossing my arms then I glared at him. He's smug and an asshole and just by seeing his banana hair, it's making my blood boil.

The arrogant motherfucker stands up. "Hi! Let me formally introduce myself. I'm Kazutora Hanemiya. Son of Hiroji and Chiyo Hanemiya, Billionaire." He extends his hands for a handshake.

I just look at them. I heard my dad clear his throat so I have no choice but to communicate to this conceited.... fuck! I can't think of any insult he has a beautiful face.

I fake my smile as I accept his handshake, but I make sure to squeeze his hand tight. I saw him hurting but hiding it. "y/n Haitani." I didn't release his hand and squeezed it more tightly.

He smiled but his face said otherwise. he looked like he was constipated. I want to laugh, but I hold it.

"Okay, y/n you can let go now. Are you that excited that you can't wait for our date to hold my hand?" He said and smirked at me.

I squeeze his hand one last time before I let go. "Ah, yes," I said almost in a sarcastic tone and sit down.

"Okay, So... let's talk about the engagement of your son to our only daughter," Dad said. I feel like my eyes are starting to burn. No! I will only marry Takashi and no one else.

"Need tissue, Half-sis?" Rindou said, handing me some tissue.

Ran leaned close, sideways, and whisper. "Oh, oh, someone's about to cry."

"Shut up," I whispered back.

"Ah yes! We still want them to know each other before tying the knot so my wife and I suggest giving the kids at least two to three years or more, if needed for them to date and know more about each other. Even if it's an arranged marriage to strengthen our companies, we still want them to have a happy married life." The older man said. Dad, in response, nodded in agreement.

"Heard that, y/n? Aren't you wondering that after 17 years of rejection, our father magically came to your home saying he's finally giving you his last name?" He paused. "This is why. He's arranging your future for the benefit of him, not because he accepted you." Ran faintly chuckled as he whispered those words to me.

I want to cry but I need to look tough. I don't want them to see me breaking down, especially my brothers! I will not give them the satisfaction of me looking helpless.

They continue to discuss the engagement and business, I just eat quietly. I don't want to hear any information about the engagement.

After dinner, our parents left us together. They asked this smug-face to send me home. I have no choice but to oblige.

"So... Wanna go to a hotel? have some good time? we're going to be married soon so might as well practice what married couples do, huh?" He asked as he walked towards me. I ignored him and just walked on my own.

"Hey! Where are you going?"

"Home."

"You're walking?"

"Yeah, and?"

"It's far!"

"So?"

"It's night."

"SOOOOOO?"

"Hey, wait!" He said and held my shoulders. I immediately take his hand and twist it. I pushed him to a wall pinning him.

"Oh, you want in public? Adventurous, eh?"

"Shut up! Kazumi!"

"It's Kazu-"

"I don't care! Break the engagement. I don't want to marry someone like you. I already have someone that I want to marry so better beg your parents to cancel it."

"Why won't you do it? The engagement is fine for me, you're the one who doesn't want to be engaged so you're the one to break it."

"You won't understand."

"Understand what?"

"Nothing! Just do something!"

"Then if you don't do anything we'll be married in two years or so. good luck with that!" He moved and in an instant, our place was switched. My hands are now up and he's holding it with only one hand. His other hand is on the wall. I tried to resist but his grip is so tight. What? He's strong?

"You're underestimating me y/n. You don't know me." He said, his eyes shifting in a serious look. His look is kinda intimidating but I try my best not to look away.

"You also don't know me, Kenzo!"

"It's Kazu-" He didn't finish what he's about to say when I kick him in his balls, making his grip loosen. I break free and run away.

She really aims where it hurts the most. That girl! I crouched down from pain and watch her run away from me.

Oh, this is gonna be interesting. This will cure my boredom.

It's the end of the class, I am at the bench in our school garden, waiting for Takashi to finish his club activity. I asked him to eat with me in a restaurant, I don't want to go home just yet, The silence inside my house is making me overthink things.

I'm still thinking about yesterday. Why I didn't think that Dad would do that? Silly me, I really expect that he accepts me, turns out he just needs to change my last name so I can marry that fancy-pants banana head.

"Hey, Babe." Takashi greeted me.

"Hi!" I smiled a little. "Are you done with club activities?" He nodded in response, He stared at me for a while, he has this worried look.

"You're silent since you came back from the dinner meeting, is everything okay?" Takashi said as he sat beside me.

"Babe, let's get married. It's fine, right? we're married while we're chasing our dreams?"

"I mean, yeah! I want to marry you y/n but-"

"But?"

"We're too young, My siblings are just in elementary and they need me, My mother also needs me, We don't have a father figure in our house so I need to act like a leader so we won't break as a family. As much as I want to marry you right now I want to secure them first so I can move with you. I don't want to drag you down because of my family status."

"I see..." I look down.

"Hey, please don't take that in the wrong way. When we get married, I want us to start fresh, I want to finish my obligation to my family first before starting a new one. I hope you understand, y/n."

I look at him, Ahhhh, his beautiful face. I hold his cheek and trace them with my index finger. "I understand, Babe. I really do! Your siblings are young and your mother is a single parent. I know that it's hard to raise children alone because I saw it firsthand from my mom. She had a hard time raising me but still did her best for me. It's just a silly thought of mine." I gently chuckled.

"No! It's not a silly thought y/n because I, too think of marrying you as soon as possible."

"Thank you, Takashi." I paused for a while. "Ahhhhh! Seeing your face is nice. Let's eat meat!"

After we eat, He sends me home. I wave goodbye to him and watch him walk away before I open my gate.

"Oh, so that's the boyfriend. I wonder if he knows about you, being engaged to someone else? That will be painful for him to know." Someone whispered behind me while clicking his tongue. I immediately throw my hands, it's not out of instinct, I just want to punch his face.

He caught my fist before landing them on his face.

"Fighter, eh?"

"What are you doing here? Are you stalking me?"

"Me? Stalking you?" He scoffs "Dad said that I should take you somewhere for dinner, so here I am."

"So you just oblige to everything they ask you to do? are you a dog or what?"

"No, but I find this engagement interesting."

"It's not a game, Kazutaro."

"Close, but it Kazu-"

"I don't care!"

"Are you gonna go with me or not?"

"No." I continue to unlock my gate.

"Okay, your dad just asked me to report to him after we went to dinner." He paused. "I'll just tell him you're being uncooperative."

I halt. My hands began to shake.

"I don't want any disappointment." is echoing inside my head.

"Fine! I'll go with you. Just make this quick!" I said as I faced him.

"Oh, baby, I'm not a fan of a quickie. I want a long and rough-"

"Shut up! Kazunori!" I said as I covered my ears and walked past him. He's disgusting!

I can hear him chuckle behind me.
