Chapter 7

He asked me to meet him at the H.E club after class so here I am. I knocked on the door before I slowly opened it.

"Mitsuya-kun?" I look around and there are no other people here.

"Hi! y/n! Come in." He said as he stepped out of a room that looked like storage. He's carrying a box.

"Did you finish your design?"

"Yes!" He said excitedly. "I asked you here to measure you so I can start sewing."

"That's great! I'm excited to see your design."

Mitsuya put the box down. "Stand there, y/n," he instructs and I oblige.

He takes the measuring tape from his neck and walks towards me. Wait, why does my heart is beating so fast? We did this before. So what's with this weird feeling?

"Lift your arms." He gently said and I obliged. He wraps his measuring tape around my chest, making his face closer. I hold my breath, I feel like I'm exploding again.

"You're tense, Relax." He said. I saw him froze for a split second. He became silent for a while. "Your smell reminds me of someone." He added.

"Really, who?" Play dumb y/n, play dumb.

"Some guy from my division. Actually, he looks like a girl too." He looks at me and I avoid my face, Turning them in a different direction.

"Oh. A guy with feminine features. That's cute."

"Yeah." He went back to measuring me.

"Uhmm... Do you need some help? Like materials and stuff, I can sponsor you." I said, changing the topic.

"No, no. It's fine. I found a part-time job."

"No! I insist. You helped me last time. It's my chance to help you back."

"What last time?" He asked, tilting his head.

"At the rooftop. After I cried, I felt relieved and heaviness is gone, thanks to you," I said with a smile.

"I did that because I want to, I didn't expect something in return." He said while writing my measurements. He went behind me to measure my shoulders. He moved my hair to the side, I felt electricity running to my body.

I sigh. "Please... I want us to give our best. I don't want to regret this in the end that we can do something but we didn't do."

Mitsuya didn't respond for a while. "Okay. But let me make you dinner in my apartment as thank you."

"Sure!" I said with a smile.

Mitsuya

"Onii-san, why are you cooking a lot? is today a special today? is it your birthday?" Mana asked as she tried to sit on the chair. I lift her to help.

"No, Onii-san will have a guest over, a friend."

"Akio nii-san?" Luna excitedly said.

"No, She's a girl."

"Yuzuha nee-san?" Mana asked, tilting her head.

"No, She's my friend at school. She's helping me with the clothes I'm making."

"Is she your girlfriend?" Luna suddenly asks, making me flinch. She's like mom, always ready to interrogate. "This is the first time you bring a girl other here than Yuzuha nee-san."

"No... Uhm..." The doorbell rings, oh, saved by the bell. I remove the apron and walk towards the door. I quickly fix my hair before I open them.

"Hi!"

"Hi!" y/n said with a smile. "I brought cake." She lifts a box.

"Thank you!" I accept them and gesture her to come in. "Come in."

She slightly bows and walks past me. Why am I nervous? This is just like when Yuzuha is here. There is nothing to be scared of. I shake my head to wake up my senses.

My siblings run towards her. "Hi!" They said in chorus.

"Hi!" y/n crouch down to match their level. "I'm y/n, Mitsu- Takashi-kun's friend." She gets something from her bag and gives it to Luna and Mana. "For the both of you." She hands them chocolates.

"Wow! chocolate! Thank you!" Luna said. I look at Mana, she's quiet but smiling from ear to ear.

"Wow, they instantly like you," I said.

"y/n nee-san are you onii-san's girlfriend?" Luna said. She is still not over in that topic.

"Luna, she's-" y/n cut me off.

"Takashi-kun is special to me." y/n said, making me freeze from where I'm standing. Heat travels to my face.

"If you're going to be nii-san's girlfriend. I'll approve," Mana said. y/n didn't respond, I cannot see her reaction because I'm behind her.

"Let's... Let's eat!" I said to end the topic. I walked past them, y/n stood up and followed me.

Everything went smoothly. y/n and my sisters really vibe well. They were laughing and playing like they had known each other for a long time. I'm glad that they like her. After an hour, y/n said her goodbyes. Like Akio, my sisters didn't want to let her go but, she promised them that she would visit soon. Y/n waved goodbye to them and I'm just walking her to the plaza.

"Thank you for dinner." She said with a smile. "I had a great time."

"My siblings really like you."

"They're sweet."

"They are not like that. Hakkai needs to bribe them with a lot of food for them to like him. " I chuckled. "It's just with you and Akio."

"I see." She said.

"Speaking of Akio, isn't your last name l/n?"

"Yeah?"

"You both have the same last name. Are you two related?"

She didn't speak for a moment. "Ah... I don't think so, there is a lot of l/n here and my surname is kinda common. At school, I know five l/ns in our year but, we're not related!" She chuckles while scratching her temple.

"Yeah, your right." I chuckled. There's silence for a while, we're walking together and I can feel her hands brushing to mine. I looked at her and she didn't react. Maybe she didn't notice.

"Thank you again for the last time." y/n suddenly said. "at the rooftop."

"Oh, that's nothing. I'm glad that I can help to make you feel better."

"You know, I always put walls around me so no one will see the vulnerable side of me. I don't know why? but when I'm with you, those walls magically disappear." She said and looked at me, I just stared at her. She then smiles a genuine one. My heart instantly skips a beat.

"Sometimes it's nice to have someone that you can be vulnerable at because they will remind you that you're only human, that it's okay to get tired and someone will have your back."

"Yeah. You're right, that's why you're special to me." She said. There is it again that skipping a beat.

I am attracted to her. This time I'm sure of it. This means the weird feeling I felt last time for Akio is just my imagination.

y/n made my heart skip a beat multiple times. Yes. That's right.

It's Saturday and today is the final day of my initiation. Mitsuya messaged me to go to his apartment before the meeting starts that is why I'm getting ready right now. Finally, I am a Toman! A couple more steps to face my brothers and they will accept me as their sister!

I knock on their apartment door, A couple of seconds passed and Mitsuya opens the door.

"Hey." Mitsuya greeted me. He's topless and there's a towel around his neck, He's drying his lavender hair. My eyes widened in shock. I slowly travel my eyes down to his uh... abs.

"Hi! Hi! Hi!" What the hell? did I just greet him three times?

"Come in." He said and I oblige.

"Where's Luna and Mana?"

"Oh, They're at our Auntie's place. they'll be back tomorrow." He said and I just nodded. I can't focus he's half-naked in front of me.

"Oh! Before I forgot." He walks towards his room to get something. He went back and handed me Toman's uniform.

"Wear this for tonight's meeting. Your first official meeting as Toman."

"Wow! Thank you." I said and looked at the uniform.

"You can change here. let's see if it will fit or it needs adjustment."

"What? Here-here? in front of you?"

"Yeah? we're both guys so there's no problem, right?"

"Oh yeah!" I nervously said.

Shit! What to do? What to do?! I think for a good excuse.

"Come on, we don't have much time. The meeting will start within an hour." He started walking towards me and I panic. He's freaking half-naked and he's asking me to change in front of him!

"Ou- Ouch!" I acted hurt while holding my tummy.

"What? Are you okay?"

"I... I think I drank expired milk. can I use your bathroom?"

"Yeah, yeah sure!"

I quickly run inside the bathroom and closes the door. I hold my chest, That was close!

Mitsuya

I changed into my uniform and waited for Akio to step outside. A couple of minutes passed I heard the bathroom door opens. I look at him wearing the uniform I made. There is it again, the slow-motion thingy and my heart skipping a beat.

He's cute! What? No! y/n is cute. y/n is who I like.

"Wow, Mitsuya-san you're incredible! It fits perfectly." He said while fixing his hair. He walked towards me. I unconsciously step back. He halts and looks at me, confused.

"I'm glad it fits. Let's go."

I walked ahead and didn't wait for him. I felt the same feeling when I'm with y/n. What is happening to me? I know I like y/n that's why I feel this way when I'm with her but why do I feel the same with Akio? I'm confused.

If this is the same case as y/n, does it mean I like Akio too? Is it possible to like two different people at once? ugh! thinking about it makes my head hurt.

I didn't talk to him. He just followed my bike going to the shrine. When he tries to talk to me I avoid him.

He's been trying to talk to me before the meeting starts, I feel bad but I need to sort these feelings out.

"Let us welcome the new Members of Toman!" Mikey shouts and everyone claps. He introduces them to us one by one.

"Now for the announcement!" He said, making the members silent. "We will have our next brawl. Sunday, next week! Moebius is challenging us! we need to win this fight so they will know how powerful Toman is!" Everyone roars in excitement. I glance at Akio he roars with them.

After the meeting, almost all the members went home. My eyes automatically searched for Akio and saw him talking to Baji and Sanzu. He's laughing with them. Baji pats his head. There's something in me that made my feet walk towards them.

"Mitsuya-san!" Akio greeted me but I didn't speak and just pulled him away. Baji and Sanzu look at us dumbfounded.

Akio didn't know what to do so he just waved at them goodbye. Why am I doing this? Why do I feel like this?

"Hey. Mitsuya-san are you mad?"

"No."

"No? But why does it feel like you're mad? Did I do something?" He paused. "Oh if it's about the bathroom, I flushed the toilet, don't worry."

I stopped walking and pushed him against the wall. I pinned him.

"What are you doing to me?"

Puzzled, he tilted his head. "that's why I'm asking you so I can apologize. What did I do to you?"

I stare at him, we're so close... maybe an inch away and these weird feelings are still here.

He became conscious and looked away. "Uhh... Mitsuya-san you're close." He said.

I chuckled in frustration and let go of him.

"Please, let's not see each other in the meantime. If you have questions, ask Hakkai." I said and walked away.

My chest tightens on what he just said. I don't know what I did wrong for him to say that.

I am so confused. What is wrong with him? He was just okay earlier. Does his mood shifts that fast?

As I watch him disappear from my sight my phone suddenly rings.

"Nii-san." I greet him.

"Don't call me that." Ran replied in a cold tone, It stung but I shrugged it off.. "I heard your initiation is done, You're officially a Toman member."

"Yeah."

"Great job." He said.

"Congrats half-sis!" I heard Rindou in the background.

"Shut up dimwit!" Ran shouted at him.

"All you have to do is win against us in a fight, can you do that?" Ran asked.

"Of course! And you'll keep your promise!" I said in a serious tone.

"Yes, if you win I will announce to Tenjiku and Roponggi that you are a Haitani." He paused for a while. "That's if... You will not get distracted. I heard that you're getting close to your division captain." He scoffs. "You're a girl after all. A weak kind."

"Girls are not weak! Just wait, I will win against you and you will eat the words you've just said."

"Don't just talk... do it." He said and end the call.

Something slaps me back to reality. That's right, my goal is to be accepted by my family. I don't have time for this shit. I need to get back on track. I got distracted when I became close to Mitsuya.

It won't happen again, I need to focus.
