29 : Stark Industries

Straight for Scream, my brother flew like a bull. Even with his helmet on he seemed filled with rage.

(Go!) I yelled at Scream and immediately she bolted up the skyscraper, dodging bolts of Tony's blasters.

"I think now is a good time to reveal who we are." A blast nearly missed her head.

I can't. Not after what happened with Logan. I can't have someone else think of me as a disgusting monster. If my brother found out he would destroy Scream just like all the other aliens he has before. I need Scream. Scream is the only one who will never leave me.

(No.) I said in the strongest voice I ever had. I don't want to lose Scream. I need her. I already lost Logan.

{Damn it Elisa.} Scream growled at me and immediately we were thrown to another building as she avoided my brother again.

(You saw how Logan reacted. Just think how Tony will.)

{We weren't there enough to see Logan's reaction!!} She argued and then grew angry and revengeful when she saw Vision flying in the air. "Him."

(No, Scream. Just get away.) I need her to escape so she can give me control again. It's the easiest way for her to disappear.

She growled then jumped down from the skyscraper and into the busy streets of the soon to be dawn. "What makes you think we can get away this time?"

She's right. We didn't get away in the past. (Just lose them and give me control.)

Strangely the blasts stopped, and when she looked up as she ran away she saw Vision stopping my brother, Vision was fighting him.

(Their fighting?)

"I don't kno-." All of a sudden Scream was launched backwards as a blue streak flew by. The road was torn as her nails dug into stop herself from flying backwards. "Lose them." Scream scoffed and jumped up to a building to get off the ground just in time to see another figure in the mirror-like window. "Shit."

"Ahhhh!" Thor screamed as he threw back his hammer to collect the biggest lightning bolt before crashing down onto the building.

{They're everywhere!} Scream jumped to the next building in time but the electricity moved across at the same time her fingers touched the metal and glass walls.

Her fingers burned from the fiery sensation. But the next thing she felt was a football players metal shoulder hitting her side. Dirt flew everywhere as she landed in the field, and when she stood she was hit back again but this time caught herself from falling.

{Who.} Scream scowled. Iron man flew towards us at so fast Scream didn't have time to do much to avoid the collision and flew back into the forest. "That's it!" She stepped out of the wood splinters.

(Don't hurt him.) I told her.

Scream growled. {I can't tell tell him who we are and I can't protect us from him!}

I knew what she meant. If I only told my brother than he wouldn't be fighting us. Maybe I should tell him.

Scream readied herself this time as Tony's suit sent missiles and everything it could, but they never hit us. 

Steve Rogers lowered his shield after the smoke went away. "Stark." He warned in a sympathetic but authorities voice.

(Seems you don't need to protect us from him.) I said questioningly. First Vision now Captain America? Something was wrong.

"This doesn't involve you, Rogers." My brothers robotic voice threatened.

Someone else landed from the jet flying above, his metal arm reflected the moons light. Bucky, it was Bucky and Steve against my brother.

"Stark, this isn't the way." Rogers said, I slowly started to back up.

"I don't care." My brothers suit flew up and started to aim his blaster. "This became a family matter." Rogers readied his shield to throw and Bucky seemed to have a gun as if that would do anything.

(Run, Scream. Go!) I yelled but we couldn't escape. 

Behind us was the jet. In front of us was my very angry brother and two super soldiers. And beside us was a flying Vision who would stop at nothing to capture us.We are trapped.

{You have to tell them who we are.} Scream said before the ground below us shook and the air surrounded us exploded into flames.

A piercing scream came out of our shares lungs as our flesh burned within the Stark Industries missiles that landed at our feet. I was choking and drowning in flames, we couldn't breath. The superheated air was burning our mouth, throat, and lungs.

I could feel Scream melting off of me and my skin leaving with her. No pain has ever felt this horrid, but thankfully it stopped when a green smoke bomb surrounded the area and the flames disappeared.

I felt Scream crawl back inside of me to heal herself, and I fell to the ground in a heap. My body lost every piece of energy as if someone sucked the life out of me. My whole body felt like it was cooked to a crisp. I couldn't hear anything except a high pitch ringing and my eyes were sealed shut.

I slowly and painfully opened my eyes...It was blurry and I couldn't see anything. All I saw was a very blurry figure of a man in red kneel down next to me then stumble backwards the ground.

(Brother.) I couldn't see his expression, but I'm sure it must destroy him to see that I was the one he attacked. (Tony.)

I let out a whimpering cry as I was wrapped in a soft cloth then lifted off the ground. I could feel the vibrations of the man's chest as he spoke deeply but I couldn't hear how voice. I felt calm. Something about them calmed me. My strained breathing became less painful. The loud ringing in my ears dulled enough to slightly hear the angry voice of my carrier. My skin was no longer on fire and my vision started to piece together.

The man's long strides jostled me around as they carried me into the warm jet. I tried to open my eyes again to see who it was but I was so tired. I could smell their cool scent, like mint, but I couldn't pinpoint it.

The person laid me down on the cold bench then made sure the blanket was nicely wrapped around me to cover my body. I felt a hand on my cheek and in instant soothing sensation spread across my skin. His hand was so soft and caring. It was the last thing I felt before I fell into a deep sleep.
