27 : Lunch

08:09, 27 June 2024

Once again, I was alone. Following the A.I. named Friday to another part of the Avengers compound. But this time I was heading towards the kitchen where lunch would be served.

But I didn't realize that I would be eating with the rest of the compound residents until I got to the kitchen and thought I had entered a zoo.

"Steve!" An African American man groaned like a whining man-child.

"Bucky." Steve Rogers said like a scolding parent as he looked away from the folder he was looking at. "Give Sam back his food."

"I'm hungry." Bucky deadpanned in a deep monotone voice, then shrugged slightly when Steve gave him a annoyed look. "I need it more than he does."

{He's delicious.} Scream purred in a seductive way rather than hungry.

Buckys eyes glanced at Sam then found me and stared with a gaze that made my whole body stiffen.

(Stop.) I scolded.

A chair scraped the floor as Sam stood up. "I'm done with this." He trudged back to the fridge and Steve got out of the way. "Every time. Every time."

A blur flew through the room and the next thing I saw was Sams food that was in Buckys hand in a different persons hands. "You all are a bunch of children." He said in an accent then handed the food to Sam. Bucky stood up with a deadly gaze that was directed at the man. The man held up his hands in surrender. "I just want peace." He then looked at me and winked then he disappeared in a blur.

(Why does he always wink at me?)

{Your hot and he's horny-.}

(Scream!)

{What?} She chuckled.

Bucky sat back down with a huff. Steve sighed and continued to eat and Sam happily sat down with his food, but not before he gave a teasing look at Bucky. Which caused Bucky to give Sam a half bored half annoyed look.

I stood there while rest of the people ate, not bringing up the new person who entered the room. Meaning me.

But of course the loudest and most extroverted one of them turned around from a cabinet and saw me. And that person seemed very excited to see me.

"Lady Elisa!" A loud booming voice, also known as Thor, said. I looked at him and nodded a greeting as he sat down. "What brings you here?" He smiled brightly.

Now everyone's eyes were really on me, which didn't make me feel calm. "I came to see my brother." I walk into the room a little bit more and look at all the familiar faces. Most of them I met at the party except for Bucky. And then when they tried to kill Scream. Aka, me. "We were both coming to eat but he had a call."

"Then we shall keep you company." Thor boomed. "Come and sit." He pulled out a chair next to him. "I'm sure you must be famished."

I walked over to him since his side of the table had more seats available. "I am a little." I was hungry and I'm sure Tony won't be long.

{We are in the lions dean.}

(We will be fine.)

"Ah." Thor said. "Then you must try this Midgardian treat." He smiled brightly while waving a pop tart in the air.

{All of these people tried to kill us.} Scream growled slightly.

I smiled at Thors cheeriness over a pop tart. "Thank you but I don't want to take your food."

Thor chuckled. "Nonsense. Here." He pushed his plate to me. "I shall go heat up more." Thor than stood up before I could stop him and headed back to the pantry to get more pop tarts to toast.

{You do realize he tried to kill us right?} Scream didn't like Thor after he attacked her in the forest.

(He thinks we're the enemy. That's why.) I reminded her as I bit into the pop tart.

The room got quieter suddenly. I didn't know why until I looked around and saw a new presence in the room. Someone very familiar but could also be labeled as a stranger.

"Loki." I said softly but it was loud enough to catch his attention. When he looked I waved at him, but he only did a simple head nod and went to sit in one of the cushion seats.

{I guess you aren't as close as you thought.} Scream said it in more of a question. Because not only did we spend some time together but Loki also shared his gender changing secret with me. So we should be close.

(At least I feel you calm down with him here.)

{He's on our side if you forgot.} Scream reminded me that Loki is in fact on our side. At least with Screams food.

I watched Loki open a book and start to read. My already small smile shrunk a little more for his disinterest but thankfully I'm good at putting on a fake smile when needed. And right now I think a smile is best while surrounded by my brothers friends and maybe spy's.

And I wouldn't be surprised because in high school my brother hired a girl to befriend me. Instead of talking to me himself.

I looked back at the table of people and saw Thor slightly glaring at Loki from the pantry and Natasha eyeing Loki. And this made things awkward since Loki was behind me. So it looked as if they were starting at me.

Strangely it seemed as if only Natasha and Thor noticed Lokis presence because everyone else was going on with their lunch as if nothing interesting happened.

So I continue with the pop tart I had. (I wonder where my brother is.)

"So Elisa..." I looked at Natasha who called my name. "How's Logan?" She smirked slightly.

The surprising question made me choke slightly on the pop tart in my mouth. "What?"

Her smirk grew a little more at my reaction. "I was just wondering how Logan was doing." It seemed as thought she knew something I didn't.

"Yes!" Thors attention was drawn to the conversation immediately and his hunt for more delicious treats was put on pause. "How is the man you are courting? If he isn't being kind tell me and I'll handle him." He glanced at Loki for a second.

I smiled softly. "Thank you Thor but Logan is the kindest man I know." Thor smiled happily and Natasha raised a brow for a second as if she internally scoffed. "He would never hurt me so you don't have to worry."

Thor nodded. "Then I am happy for you." He looked at Loki again then turned back to finding his pop tarts.

I smiled. "Thank you." I started to break off small parts of the pop tart in the awkwardness until Scream gave me some very good advice.

{You know you don't have to stay here. You can leave since you already talked to your brother.}

(Oh... Yea. I guess.)I sat up a little more in my seat. "Um... I think I'm going to go."

"Nonsense." Thor sat down suddenly which caused me to flinch. "You haven't had any substance."

"I had some of this pop tart." I said. It didn't help that a second later my stomach growled. Thor gave me a displeasing look and I gave back an innocent smile. "I have plans with Logan anyways for lunch." I held onto my purse as I stood. "I should go so I'm not late."

My attention was taken away when in a flash the table had three more plates at empty seats and one in front of mine. Then three people I met a week ago sat down and not only did my nerves spike but Screams anger started to grow.

{Him.} She seethed.

I crossed my arms over my abdomen and sat back in my seat. (Please don't. If you react everyone will know you're inside me.)

Pietro sat down at a seat with a plate followed by the female I believe to be his sister. And next to her was the thing that almost killed Scream and I... If Scream can die that is.

The female sort of gave me a hello with her eyes and I gave a smile back then looked away to Thor who was gobbling down a pop tart. Which thankfully took my mind away from the attempted murderer across from me.

(Calm down, Scream. You can't do this here.) I could feel her anger and need for revenge boil inside of me. I was nervous above everything else but fear was inside me as well.

{You are to kind, Elisa.} She huffed and hid away to hid her anger from me.

My arms slowly relaxed now that I wasn't tense with Screams feelings. I looked at the BLT sandwich and potato chips that were in front of me than at the platinum blonde man who speed made it for me. "Thank you."

Pietro winked at me. "No worries, princessa."

My brows furrowed at his name for me. (Does he not know my name?)

{You know he was flirting with you right?}

(Flirting? But... Alright.) I looked away from him and to my food.

The room never lacked conversation no matter who entered, except for when Loki came in. Even quiet talking was in process at every moment.

I picked up a chip and stuck it in my mouth then bit down with a crunch. (I still want to leave.)

{Do it.}

I grabbed another chip. (Wouldn't that be rude now?) I felt something sting, like a needle being pierced into my forehead. (Scream stop.) I rubbed my forehead.

{It isn't me.} She seemed annoyed as well.

"Witchling."

Finally, after all this time I heard Lokis voice. But it was more of a warning tone than a calm tone. The room became quiet again and everyone's eyes turned to Loki who was still behind me. So it looked like everyone was looking at me.

"What did I say about using your abilities without the others consent." Loki said. The woman next to Pietro and Vision looked away and then I heard, or felt, someone move behind me. "I believe you said you had plans with Logan."

I looked up and saw Loki looking down at me from his stance behind my chair. His eyes seemed so kind. So gentle. So familiar. I remember Loki from the last time but now he seems... closer.

As if... I... like him

{He's giving you an escape.} Scream broke me out of whatever spell I was under. {You wanted to leave, right?}

"Y-Yes." I slightly stuttered and scooted out to stand up, thankfully not bumping into Loki who was behind me. "Logan's probably at home." I saw Natasha smirk and look down at her plate. "It was nice seeing all of you again." I stepped back and ran into a chest.

His long hands held onto my shoulders. "Careful." His voice. His touch. His presence.

I spun around and looked at Loki. "Sorry." He looked at me softly and nodded saying it was alright. "It was nice seeing you again." I backed up more and looked at the group. There was so many people. "I should go. Goodbye." I turned around and headed out of the room, down the stairs...

"Ms. Stark the exit is the opposite way."

I stopped and looked to the ceiling. "Oh. Thank you." I started to head the other way and Friday helped me leave the building.
