Growing Up

I sat alone the garden. I had not spoken to Thranduil since the miscarriage. I knew that he was disappointed and I knew that I had failed to give him any more children. I went outside and took Legolas and Tauriel with me. They sat in the grass playing with flowers. Tauriel gave Legolas a slubbing kiss. He gave a laugh  and then Tauriel gave him a push. He fall with a cry. He got up and shoved Tauriel into the creek."Legolas!" He was at himself and I quickly went over the break and pulled out Tauriel. She cried and hugged me."Hey Tauriel, sweetie. It's okay." She sniffed and I pulled off her wet clothes and she ran around the lawn in her thin dress. Thranduil walked towards me and I got to my feet. I bowed and said"My lord." Thranduil looked at me strangely and replied"Ellarian, you have never called me that." I hung my head and said"I have failed to give you any more children." He smiled and pulled me into a hug."So I should love you less?" I looked at him."Ellarian, you can do nothin worry in my eyes." Then he kissed me. I sighed against his lips and Thranduil pulled me close. Then I heard a cry. Legolas was pulling Tauriel's hair. Thranduil smiled and at me and said"Have a seat my dear. I will deal with this." He turned and walked over to Legolas."Legolas, what do you think you are doing? Get off her." I smiled as Thranduil grabbed Legolas and Tauriel and tossed them into the creek."Thranduil!" I cried. "They need to be taught a lesson, my love." He wadded into the creek and fished them out. Both looked very sorry."Sorry Taul." Legolas said. "That's kay, Legoas." I smiled as Thranduil hugged them.That night after the two were in bed, I dropped onto the bed and Thranduil dropped down next to me. We faced each other and Thranduil smiled."I want you to come with me."

We walked under the star light and Thranduil led me. Sudden,y he stopped and covered my eyes with his hands."Do you trust me?" I nodded and blindly Thranduil led me. The rocks changed into soft grass and I heard the sound of water. Thranduil uncovered my eyes and I gasped. There was a small waterfall that flowed into a small pool. Willow trees surrounded the small grass area. The silver light was coming from the stars and I saw the magic rare flowers that glowed in the dark. They were blue, silver, gold and pink. "Thranduil, this is beautiful." I could feel the magic of the elves glowing through me. He smiled and said"I wanted to show you this because, two years ago you save my life." Tonight was the night when we went to battle following King Oropher. I remembered now. I smiled. Thranduil took my hand and pressed something into it. It was a silver necklace and on it was the light of the stars. The jewel shone brightly, casting a silver light on Thranduil's face. "Thank you, Thranduil."
