Coronation and Wedding

3 weeks laterAfter Oropher's death, Thranduil had gone cold. He barely came to visit me and I had not spoken to him for sometime. Then one day a messenger arrived while I was outside in the garden, watering some flowers."Lady Ellarian, King Thranduil requests your presents immediately." I looked at him for a moment. Never in my life had I been addressed as Lady Ellarian, by anyone. This was strange. "May I quickly change?" The messenger gave a nod and I raced into the house. I threw off my dirt covered green dress and pulled on a red dress with gold patterns and quickly brushed my hair. The I walked out of the house and followed the messenger. He lead me to the gardens. He pushed opened the door and let me. The door closed behind me and I walked into the garden. I saw Thranduil standing by the lake, his back turned to me."My king, you asked for me?" Thranduil didn't even turn around and replied"Yes, I am getting married." My heart stopped beating."To who?" I asked. Thranduil replied"The princess of the sea elves." I froze in horror. Thranduil loved me! This was not happening! Thranduil turned around to face me."Are you happy for me?" I gave a small nod. Then I heard a laugh. Thranduil was laughing."My lord?" "My dear, Ellarian, if you had remembered, there is no princess of the sea elves." I looked at him and raised my eyebrows."Ellarian, I am playing with you." I crossed my arms over my chest."Well it was not funny!" Thranduil then knelt in front of me and opened up a small blue box. Inside was a white gold ring with a blue stone in the middle and was hugged by two pearls."Ellarian, will you marry me?" This was not a joke. "Yes.... Yes my lord." Thranduil  slipped the ring onto my finger and said"Ellarian, it's Thranduil."  He picked me up and swing me around. I laughed and then he kissed me.

We were getting married on Thranduil's coronation day. I was in my new chambers in the palace which were next door to Thranduil's. On the morning of my wedding, I had a warm bath with roses and oils. After I was dressed into a white dress. The sleeves were lace and the chest and stomach were covered with pearls and diamonds. The skirt was about three layers and flowed out behind me. My brown hair was curled and flowed down my back. I wore a circlet of silver on my forehead.

I walked up the rose covered grass up to the altar. Thranduil was waiting for me and he took my hand. The priest gave a long boring speak then we said our vows. Thranduil slipped on my wedding ring of white gold and I slipped on his gold wedding ring. Then we kissed. Everyone in the kingdom was there and the clapping was deafening. We walked into the palace and Thranduil was crowned king. Then I knelt in front of him and he took off my circlet and placed in my head a crown of spring leaves and wood, just like his."To my queen!" He shouted. I could feel the colour coming to my cheeks and everyone shouted"To the king and the queen!" Then the feasting started.

Food and drink was everywhere. My head was spinning with all the people and food and music. Thranduil gently placed a hand on my back."You can go to your room, if you feel the need to." I nodded and replied"I think I will go now." Thranduil kissed me and said"I will see you tonight." I nodded and walked towards my rooms.
