Something Doesn't Feel Right

Savannah's Point of View

I was sitting in my room, blasting my favorite Taylor Swift song while reading up on some English homework that I had been putting off. We were suppose to write about something that made us stronger, or a point in our life that has made us stronger.

I honestly think it was only because our teacher was obsessed with that Kelly Clarkson song 'What Doesnt Kill You (Stronger)' and that quote 'what doesnt kill you makes you stronger' which to me was just the most ridiculous thing in the world. If something didnt kill you, then it didnt make you stronger. Maybe the memory could somehow someway help you later on but it was just a silly quote that was misreading.

I had been so caught up in my own thoughts, I barley typed a paragraph before my phone started ringing. I let out a loud sigh before turning around in my computer chair and wheeled myself over to my bed. I looked at the caller ID and typical.

Stiles

Honestly, how come he was always calling me at night? And it always involved some sort of plan or idea that would get me, him, and Scott in trouble. It was never a 'hey Savannah, what's up'.Nope, it always had to involve some sort plot to get me in trouble.

"Is there any specific reason you're calling me at 10 at night?" I said answering the phone. "And it better not be about finding another dead body or i might punch you in the face." I groaned while I heard something in the background. The sound of...

an engine..?

"Hey where are you?" I asked him before turning off itunes on my computer.

"Im down the street from your house. Be outside."

"Why? What reason do you have to be dragging me out of bed this time?"

I dont even know why but I was already walking over to my closet and putting on a jacket before putting the phone on speaker and grabbing my shoes.

"Scott found something. He wants us over at his house like now. Im outside so hurry up."

And with that he hung up.

After getting back from the Morgue and confirming Scott's suspisions, the scent on the first half of the body and the other scent he smelled at Derek's was the same.

Now, instead of doing the homework I was suppose to be doing since I had been putting it off, I was sitting in the back of Stiles jeep as him, me, and Scott waited until we saw Derek get into his car and drive off. After making sure Derek was gone, Stiles pulled up in front of Derek's house, where him and Scott jumped out and started digging up some spot in the ground that Scott was convinced Derek was hiding the other half of the body.

Instead of helping them dig, I just sat there on top of Stiles jeep, watching them do everything.

Stiles finally looked over at me, whipping his sweaty forehead before giving me a look. "Are you going to just sit there? Or are you going to help?"

I laughed before shaking my head. "You guys are doing fine without me. I would just be in the way."

Stiles rolled his eyes before getting back to digging while I took out my phone and checked the time.

10 o'clock

I sighed before leaning back and looking up at the stars. I closed my eyes for about a minute until I heard Scott asking Stiles what we were suppose to do if Derek came back.

"I have a plan in case that happens." Stiles said, not looking at Scott.

I raised my eyebrow before asking him, "Oh really now? And what might that be?"

"We all run different ways, whoever he catches first too bad. It was nice knowing you, every man for himself."

"Not one of your best plans Stilinski." I rolled my eyes before pointing out that this was another one of his stupid plans that were going to get us killed or in trouble. Stiles put down his shovel and climbed out of the hole before walking over to me.

I could hear Scott complaing how Stiles should be helping him dig instead of flirting with me, which caused me to blush just as much as Stiles. But thankfully Stiles ignored him.

He stood in front of his jeep where I scooted closer to him so he was standing between my legs. I smirked at him lightly before giving him this look. "You know if Derek comes back, he'll kill us right? And I dont know about you but I prefer you both alive and active."

Stiles rolled his eyes at me before grabbing my hands. "hey, I would never let anybody or anything hurt you. Don't you trust me?"

My eyes fell to our hands while I stood quiet, thinking about what he was asking me.

Trust doesn't come easily to me. I always found it extremely hard to trust anybody so it was a new thing for me. I've been taught to never let my guard down for anyone because it could get me killed. Like my parents once told me "keeping secrets from those closest to you is how you survive."

I always believe in our family motto, i lived by it. But now, after becoming best friends with Scott and Stiles, especially Stiles, I feel like i've found people who I can trust. The truth of the matter is still, who can you trust in a world of liars..?

Do I go against everything i've ever known and against the my life's motto or...

Do I allow myself to trust people? To let someone in instead of pushing them away..?

I finally stopped with my inner thoughts and looked up at Stiles. I looked in his eyes, counting the colors and smiling to myself before shaking my head slightly.

"Yeah, I trust you.." I smiled causing him to smile too. "More than you'll ever know.." I whispered low enough hoping he wouldn't hear me.

We were so caught up in our own little "moment" until Scott called over for us. "I think I found something." He said before tossing his shovel to the side.

Stiles and I immediantly broke apart, blushing slightly before going over to Scott. We started pushing the dirt to the side with our hands until a package was revealed. It was weird though. It had a rope that was tied around it, okay this is getting weirder than I thought. We began untying the rope as fast as we could, because who knows when Derek would come back.

"Hurry!" Scott told us while I rolled my eyes at him.

"Trying the best I can. Is it my fault he decided to tie this thing a billion times?" Stiles complained.

As I was untying one of the knots, I pricked myself on something. "Ouch." I said before looking at my hand and noticing blood coming out slightly. Stiles looked over at me, and stopped untying his knots before grabbing my hand.

"are you okay?" He asked me full of concern while I rolled my eyes.

"Yes im fine. Now hurry before Derek comes back. I dont know why but something doesn't feel right." I said while Scott undid the last knot.

After untying the last knot, we started taking the extra rope off of it, bracing ourselves for a face of a dead girl. But that wasn't the case when we finally opened the package.

"What the hell?" I said while we noticed it wasnt the face of a girl, it was actually half of a wolf. The face half to be exact.

"Where's the body?" I looked at Scott while he just stood there confused.

"I dont get it, the scent was the same.." He said while we looked at the half of the wolf in front of us before looking at each other.

Why the hell would derek bury half a wolf in his front yard...?
