The surprise from your long time friend Petey isn't what you expect. It feels like such a long time that she left Smallville. Even longer than she's been able to visit.

"Are you sure it's okay Lex. I know you came to spend the weekend with me."

He nods.

"It's alright. I can stay a few more days. I know you miss her. I'm not going anywhere. Have fun."

He places a kiss on your cheek and you're practically skipping around as you go running out the door. Lex laughs. It's one of the few times that you use a normal speed. His eyes move to his laptop, hands in his pockets.

"Guess it's back to work."

Waiting at your dorm, you hear the familiar ding on your cell phone. When you lift your head, you catch sight of a car that you recognized in high school. Your smile is wide, because Petey's window is rolled down.

"How is that still alive!!" You yell happily. She laughs, parking her car and basically sprinting out the door. You can't contain your happiness. You both hug, giggles mixing in as you spin her around. When her feet land, she's grinning.

"You got taller (Y/N)."

"Just a little. " You boast.

"Do you want me to grab your stuff?" She shakes her head.

"I'll get it later, let me see your campus."

"Yes ma'am! "

You salute, taking her hand as you both venture off.

This reunion is everything you need. You show her a few cool spots that you've used for study sessions as well as naps. Then a tour of the different facilities. Tech room, swimming pool, great room. You pretty much check off every box.

By the time the evening rolls around you're pulling her bag into your room. She takes notice of the empty bed in your room.

"Is your roommate ever here?"

You smile.

"Not really."

You lean her bag at the side. Satisfied with how well the day has gone. More than anything you miss having another girl around to talk to.

"So how are things with the playboy?" Petey drops onto the bed and you roll your eyes.

"He's not that bad. He's changed." She nods.

"I know."

You turn and you expect the look she usually uses to brush off anything associated with Lex Luthor. Instead, she smiles.

"I was working an internship a few months ago. When I saw the Luthorcorp donation I sort of assumed the worst. But this time there's really no benefit for him. I started looking up some other organizations and his company was backing a lot of them. Including the organization that Lionel used to help the Kents adopt you."

You weren't aware of that.

"He never told me.."

You remember how mad your father would become at the mention of Lionel. Hearing that Lex was trying to right the wrongs his father did is just another reason you've fallen for him.

"I know I always had it in for him. To be honest I had a good reason. But I've seen a lot of the work he's done. Then when you told me he knew your secret and he protected you, it just made me realize that I misjudged him. It's obvious that he cares about you. If you trust him, then I will too."

It's hard to explain how happy that makes you.

"Thank you Petey."

She grins.

"Of course! Which brings me to my next order of business."

Petey jumps up, heading for her bag. You wonder about what makes her smile like a Cheshire cat. When she pulls out the plastic shopping bag and tosses it, you're a bit confused.

"We're going to help you get laid."

Your face erupts in color.

"W-WHAT!!"

Petey laughs.

"Come on, whenever we're on the phone you gush about him nonstop. You've never mentioned doing the deed so I'm assuming you're still a pre-luthor." She wiggles her eyebrows and you throw back the bag for her.

"W-Whatever weird stuff you have planned, I'm not doing it!"

Petey shrugs.

"Suit yourself. I just know for a fact that he's probably been wanting too. He's just waiting for you to make the first move." That catches your attention, but you try not to show it.

"W-What do you mean?"

"He was in an accident and then you guys went through that whole alternate universe thing. There hasn't been a moment with just the both of you. Am I right?"

Well she isn't exactly wrong.

"How do you know he wants to though?"

In all honesty, it has been on your mind lately. But Petey is right, there hasn't been a good moment where you can talk about it. Be with him. Hold him.

Touch him.

Your cheeks give away your thoughts and Petey snickers.

"Just saying, if you need help I'm right here. "

It's annoying how easy it is for her to see through you, but she is one of your best friends after all.

"O-Okay. Tell me what to do."

Petey gives a soft internal cheer.

"Gladly."

~Le Time Skip~

"This is a bad idea."

You tug at the bra self consciously. Petey was pretty adamant on setting you up. When she told you she had family in town she could stay with, you know there was not an excuse you could make to chicken out. Petey had bought the most scandalous two piece lavender lingerie set. Looking in the mirror, you tried not to squirm. This just felt so unlike you.

"What if Lex doesn't like it.."

So many thoughts seemed to be running through your head as you stood in the bathroom of his hotel. You shake your head, trying to gather as much courage as you could.

It was now or never. You couldn't run away now. Opening the door to the bedroom, you stepped out. Lex's eyes were focused on the television, watching the news report. You finally pulled the door closed, hugging yourself.

"Anything g-good showing?" You question.

"Just the usu.."

His words trailed off at your attire when he finally turned your way.

Lex's mouth fell open and you almost forgot to tell yourself that you needed to breathe. You really wish that one of your powers consisted of mind reading, because you wanted nothing more than to know what he was thinking.

~Meanwhile in Lex's Head~

At that very moment, he was doing a prayer of gratitude.

"I would just like to say thank you for bringing me this far. If tonight is my last night, I will gladly die a happy man."

~Back to You~

"L-Lex?"

You weren't even sure if he'd blink properly. This was nerve wracking. You lower your head, embarrassed. You should have known this wasn't a smart idea. You couldn't believe you let her talk you into this.

"I-I'll go change."

When you lift your head, Lex's shirt is gone and he's right in front of you.

"W-Where did your shirt go!?!"

The better question is how did he move so fast?

He kisses your cheek.

"I think we have more pressing matters to discuss."

The little smirk he wears is making your heart jump. When he picks you up princess style, you squeal.

"Let's see if you really are a superhuman."

You blush.

"W-Wait I-I'm not not mentally ready!!"

Teasing Lex Luthor was not the smartest idea.
