*Chapter 13*

Charlie's POV

The door barraged open and all the Avengers stormed in, clearly ready to fight. I looked at them all as I sat in the sofa with an ice lolly in my mouth, one eyebrow raised. I wasn't surprised they had found us now that Loki was in the picture.

"Where's Loki?" Thor asked confused, looking around. I looked to the ground where Loki was passed out on the floor all covered in Webb.

They all looked at him for a second confused. "How did you-" Clint started as I heald up my other hand which had a frying pan in it. I felt like the girl from Tangled and she was right, it really was a great weapon.

They all looked at me for a second before my dad rushed over and gave me a tight hug. "So Loki wants to kill me? We're you ever going to tell me that or save it for a Christmas card?" I rolled my eyes sarcastically.

"I'm sorry I should have told you. And I should have given you more freedom growing up, so I get why you left, I did the same thing when I was younger" My dad admitted. Well, great minds think alike. What can I say?

"And I'm sorry, I shouldn't be so hard on you" Steve looked at me with a guilt expression.

"It's fine, everyone is forgiven and it's all chilled" I shrugged, sticking my ice lolly bag in my mouth and turning on the TV.

It was silent for a moment before Bruce spoke up. "I have a question? What is this that's holding him down?" He asked, bending down next to Loki's unconscious body and slowly and carefully touching the web that surrounded it.

"Oh that" I quickly tried to think of a lie but there was no point when Peter walked out the bathroom with his Spider-Man suit on bar the mask. He also had an ice lolly in his mouth which nearly fell out when he saw all the Avengers sitting there with confused expressions on their faces.

Everyone just starred at each other for ages like they do in Twilight until my dad spoke up. "So the kid I have known for over 10 years turns out to be Spider-man" My dad spoke, almost to himself.

"I knew you were hiding something, I knew it! And you all thought I was crazy, HA!" Clint laughed and sat back with some new found pride and cockiness, looking very pleased with himself.

It happened suddenly.

There was a blast of some kind, so unexpected that it knocked everyone right off their feet and onto the floor, smoking rising and filling our lungs, also momentarily blurring our vision. As the mist cleared, all our eyes darted to the same position, the area where Loki had once been bounded but now, was just a heap of ripped webs and a couple of scuff marks.

Sneaky little bastard.

My dad sighed and ran his hair through his hand for a minute. "Well Peter, how would you feel about becoming an Avenger?" He asked, although his tone didn't make it sound like a question, rather an order or a demand.

"Yes, I'd be glad to help, so what do we do?" Peter asked, pulling his mask on. Which by the way, I get is for dramatic effect and all but he doesn't really need to.

"Protect Charlie, find Loki"

Great.

I lay quietly on the sofa on Thor's floor as it was his turn to 'watch' me. I watched as Thor stuffed his face with pop tarts whilst watching Phinius and Ferb on TV. I had half my day with Thor and the other half was to be spent with Clint.

"I don't get it, what is that thing?" He pointed to Perry who was on the screen, hacking into a computer for some kind of information.

"That's Perry, he is a platypus who is also a secret agent technically." I explained, moving my feet to rest on Thor's lap so I was comfortable.

Thor began laughing uncontrollably as Candice failed to catch the boys doing anything again to show their mum. I smiled at this. Thor, despite his large body, was actually much like a cute puppy. He found everything interesting and amusing. "I like this. Does anyone else watch it?" He asked me and I shook my head.

"Nope, just you and me. Personally I love these kind of shows and still watch them but they are actually kids TV shows" I explained. It was nice having someone to watch these shows with as I didn't know anyone else who still watched Cartoon Network and the Disney channel. What? They have great shows, that can't be debated!

Suddenly a bright light hit Thor's balcony, coming from the sky. Thor was up in a flash, his hammer flying to his hand. I got up as well and he pushed me behind him, already in a new stance. The light faded away and there stood an old looking man in Asgurdian clothing with a large golden weapon by his side. Thor immediately dropped his act and walked to the balcony, opening the door so the man could walk in.

"Father? What are you doing here?" Thor spoke. Oh, so this guy was the king. Great, that's just great.

"I have come to see where you have been. We haven't heard from you for two months, what have you been doing?" His father questioned. It had now been around 3 weeks since the whole Loki situation and nothing had happened. I'd just spent lots of days with the Avengers and had to share a bed with either Dad or Nat, which was annoying because Dad kept kicking me in his sleep.

"I have been living here, with my fellow Avengers father. Loki is threatening this world again, I must help save it" Thor explained. I stood there rather awkwardly as Thor's dad hadn't noticed me yet.

"Threatening? How?" Odin demanded.

"He knows he can't beat us in a fight. Instead, he is using his mind tricks on Tony Stark's daughter. He has seen that we all care for her so he is trying to harm her to get to us. Eventually, if he manages to take her, then we will have no choice but to surrender" Thor told him. Thor's eyes flickered to me as he spoke and Odin turned to look at me. I have him an awkward small wave in return.

"Father, this is Tony Stark's daughter. I am currently watching her" Thor pointed out. I politely walked towards Odin and held my hand out for him to shake. After a moment of looking at me with a wiry expression, he shook my hand back.

"King Odin, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Charlotte Stark" I introduced myself. I used my full name because it seemed more, well, fitting I guess.

"Please, I am not a king here Lady Charlotte" Odin reminded me and I nodded in understanding. I knew Thor and his father probably wanted to speak in private so I took a step away towards the lift before I spoke.

"I'll go to Clint now, I'm sure it won't matter if I'm early" I smiled and made my way to the lift, getting in and going down to Clint's floor.

As the doors opened, there was no one to be seen. I stepped out and looked around Clint's floor, seeing if he was just perching or something, he did that sometimes. However, there wasn't a soul in his living room and kitchen which left me wondering if he was actually here. If he wasn't, then maybe I could stay here and have some peace and quiet for a bit, after all Clint might be on someone else's floor as he wasn't expecting me till later.

"Clint? Yo Barton?" I said, to see if he was actually here. When I got no reply, I made my way to his bedroom where I could here muffled sounds, he was probably watching something on his TV. I put my hand on the door knob and opened it.

"Hey Clint, Thor's dad's here so I- HOLY SHIT" I screamed as I saw Nat and Clint on the bed together, heavily making out with no shirts on. At my voice, the both jumped up and Natasha quickly pulled the covers over herself. Clint stood up and looked at me for a second, running his hand through his hair.

"Ch -Charlie? Um I thought you weren't meant to be here for another hour" He stuttered. I leaned against his door frame and smirked at the two of them.

"Yeah I wasn't but Thor's dad came and they needed to talk so I came down here" I explained, not wiping the smirk off my face. I saw them look to each other panicked. Clearly, they thought they could have a secret relationship that no one would find out about. Well that failed.

I didn't want to blackmail them or anything, in fact I was very happy that they were finally together. "We were just-" Nat tried to come up with some excuse but I held my hand up to silence her.

"It's fine. I'll go to Steve's floor or something, I think he's free. And no, don't worry love birds I won't tell anyone." I chuckled and saw them sigh in relief. They were both very private people, so I knew they wouldn't appreciate me telling Tony, for example, who could have the whole world knowing in just a second.

I put my hand on the door and started to pull it shut. "Happy humping" I called out just before I closed it, and quickly ran across Clint's floor to the lift. Steve had nothing to do today, as he had told me, so I decided it was probably best to go to him as I didn't want to disturb anyone else.
