the preaditor becomes the prey

I catch up enough to the dragons that I was only about a hour behind them close enough to not lose them but far enough that they wouldn't see or smell me following. But apparently the gods didn't want me to show myself or attack too soon as I was struck by a great storm and had to be forced to land or I would be in more danger if I flew, I was grounded for another full day and I wore a human and dragon lines into the dirt from my packing back and forth with nerves due to waiting, I've flown in storms before and it's easy to get turned around easily makeing it hard to find what direction you going let alone going where your supposed to.

Once the rain let up Enough i shot into the sky so fast, quickly picking up the scent trail easily though slightly more faint from the heavy rain, I flew fast and sure not faltering in any beat of my wings or turn of my body. Something settled into the pit of my stomach hard and cold like I've eaten a solid rock, tr sent got stronger and I could smell outher dragons as well as I got closer to the village I could see some dragons fighting in the air about four two with riders themselves, I couldn't worry about the riders my aim was the two dragons attacking a rider on a black dragon I spead up as fast as I could my anger growing as I speed closer and I feel myself puff up almost as well I dive my claws out as I get closer ready to snatch the death grippers and make them pay.

Something happened when I got close enough to the dragons, my anger at them and what they have done, the fear of losing my family again, and the determination to finish the fight that was started started to boil over and grow. A smoky shadow started to come off of my skin a harsh pure white lightning following behind it looked like something I've never seen before, I was right above them and hiccup was on toothless I could see that now a white night fury under Grimmel, I scream a roar coming loud, strong, and angry makeing the riders and dragons look up as I lunge making contact with the two death grippers one in each paw claws digging into them, thankfully hiccup moved enough out of the way for me to not hit him, I take them a bit farther away from Grimmel and deal with them myself.

I let them go and we fight, they split peicklg and start to try and claw me but I move quickly batting the claws away with my own, the second takes that opportunity and goes for my wings covers in shadow and lightning something shifts in me lashing out and a streak of white lightning runs over my body and hits the deathgripper their eyes go dull and it suddenly falls down into the ocean below, the last one quickly jumps me and soon we are turning in the sky gripping and slashing each outher trying to get the upper hand a claw comes close to my throat and I jerk away my own claws reaching out, we were both snarling and growling loud terrifying sounds soon we fly apart scratches and blood all over the both of us, breathing heavily I feel my power grow again but this time the black smoke comeing off of me reacts it seems to be I don't break eye contact with the deathgripper across from me as the smoke surrounds us like a storm cloud us at the center small streaks of lighting comeing off my body and around the cloud, I can see the cloud around us and the deathgripper as well but they don't see me I take my chance giveing a mighty roar as I charge my claws digging into the scales of the dragon my teeth wrapped around their throat, killing the evil dragon as an act of mercy from the control of Grimmel.

I let the body fall into the ocean and start to calm down a bit the smoke and lightning still around my body but not as violent as it was before, I look over to check on hiccup and he outhers but it seems the fight was allready won. The army of dragons that Grimmel once had under his control now free, I quickly fly to the small hill where the villagers and hiccup have gathered lading as softly as I can thankfully my wings were not injured in the harsh fight. I'm shakeing with joy at seeing everyone alive and I'm so happy, I realize I have my bag and staff still around my foot and sickly take off behind a nearby hut not caring about any of the villagers at this point I quickly shift and change into my clothes grabbing my staff and running out from behind the hut I could hear the gasps and shouts of surprise as I ran out looking for eret and nearly tackling him when I do. Valka and hiccup wait for us on the side to be done. When I pull away from etet he looks at me in school his hand going to the side of my face where the scars from the death gripper resides,

" what happened to you mom? You went missing and then Grimmel attacks I didn't know if I would see you again"

" don't worry my son I'm all right, the death grippers attacked me after I heard a conversation that I wasn't, my plan was to fly out away from the village and then turn around but I underestimated them, they attacked me when I landed and hid in this form, I would've died if a nearby village didn't hear me."

" I'm glad your alive Alayah"

Valka says as we finish, I leave eret and quickly hug her and hiccup with a laugh. As the day ended hiccup explained to me what had happened and what they have found, and I explained what had happened to me as well showing some of my scars as well, then came the choice of the dragons, everyone agreed that the dragons were not safe and me acting as a translated between hiccup and the dragons, we all agreed that the world wasn't ready to have dragons anymore and that the dragons would go into Hiding in the hidden world until further notice, it was what's best. Before we took all the dragons into hiding I asked for a favor from the riders and the dragons alike.

Cut to the borg village

Thora sighed as she rested her head on the table she had found alayah's letter last week and shortly after she found out they she was indeed pregnant. The sickness she got had started this morning and she wasn't very happy about it, as she rested her head on the table chewing on a mint Leaf to keep the bile crawling up her throat at Bay, she heard a scream followed by a shout,

" DRAGONS!"

Quickly she stood clutching her head after for a moment, quickly she grabbed a hand axe and ran outside. A woman was pointing to the sky in fear as four dragons appeared flying above the village, the men getting ready to attack if the dragons move but the dragons were not moving in the sky at all. One of the men aimed their weapon ready to fire but he was stopped by a shout from one of the dragons, soon the dragons slowly began to defend and everyone could see four figures appeared to be on the dragons then Ebbe called out.

" ARE YOU FRIENDS OR DO YOU WISH HARM TO THE VILLAGE!"

a mans voice strong and sure sounded from one of the dragons,

"WE WANT NO HARM FOR YOUR VILLAGE, WILL YOU LET US LAND OUR DRAGONS SOMEWHERE NEAR THE VILLAGE SO WE MAY MEET FACE TO FACE SIR?"

a pensive look appears on the Ebbs face before sighing, he had no reason to turn these people away and if they had dragons they were people he best not anger.

" THERE IS A TREE BY THE CLIFFS SURROUNDED BY A FEILD YOU MAY LAND THERE THE CHEIF AND SOME MEN WILL MEET YOU THERE AS WELL"

Soon the dragons veered off to the side and towards the tree surrounded by a field near the village. Ebbe sighed and gestures to a man quietly telling him.

" go and get the Cheif right away, tell him that it's urgent and there are visitors he needs to see, if he refuses tell him that they ride dragons."

The man nods and runs to the Cheifs hut, ebbs gets a few of his men he trusts quickly makeing their way to the tree, Thora joggs to catch up a stubborn look on her face ebbe sees this and looks to the gods in prayer.

" oh Thor help me she's not going to go without a fight is she."

"Ebbe, take me with you to see the dragons and their riders"

" Thora my love you are with a babe, we don't know if they will be here for a fight or not, I cannot put your safety at risk."

" no ebbe I want to ask about our freind Alayah, if these are the riders that are looking for her they must be here for a reason! You know how she talked about her village how they rode dragons like horses across the sky like birds if they know Alayah then they might have some news of her."

Ebbe looks down closing his eyes and Thora lights up knowing she won this argument, giveing him a gracious kiss on the cheek as she contued to walk down the path to the tree. When they arrived there are four people all wearing armor and masks none that Ebbe recognized and three dragons, one dragon was a nighfury and a man in all black scale armor sat on the leather saddle, the outher man much bigger then the first with green scale armor a big strong dragon beneath him, the last two men who sat on one dragon one in brilliant blue armor and one in a leather armor blue dotting the shoulder and a staff at their side a deadly madder benefits them the one in leather armor was the first to stand still on the dragon peering at the crowd with the emotionless holes through the mask. Ebbe pushed Thora behind him gently not wanting her or their child to be hurt if a battle broke out.

The figure looked at the outhers on the dragons and nodded once soon they were all claimed off of the dragons the the men in the green and black armor started to unpack something from the biggest dragon, soon Chief Grimm appeared barreling his way through the crowd.

" ALLRIGHT MOVE OVER MAKE WAY! make way come on, whew ok then what do we have here, what do you lot want with our village?"

They look at the man in black and he gestures to one of them as he struggles with a strap on the dragons saddle, soon the man in greed speaks the one who spoke to me earlier.

" is this the borg village? And are you Cheif Grimm?"

" yes, who is asking?"

The trough sighs and the man takes his helmet off the outhers following and to everyone's surprise two of the dragon riders were women, the bags that were strapped to the big dragon drop to the floor and the man in green goes and picks them up the man in Green continueing to talk,

" thank the norns we have flown everywhere by now, we are from new burk-"

" ah! You must be Cheif haddock the third I have heard so much about, it's great to meet you!"

Cheif Grimm shakes the mans hand and the outher riders laugh as if something funny has happened, Cheif Grimm looks at them confused,

" actually I'm not Cheif haddock, my name is eret eretson"

" alayah's son?"

Thora asks cutting the man off and makeing everyone look at her however the glares from her own were not met with glares from the group, they all however smile the man in green speaking again.

" yes Alayah the dragon speaker is my mother, we found her not to long ago so fear not, you must be Thora and I assume the man in front of you is Ebbe?"

" yes, is she ok? Your mother I mean? "

" yes she's perfectly fine she is the reason we are here actually, she wanted to give the village some gifts for helping her in her situation and sent someone she wanted you to meet, she couldn't make it in person however because she has to catch up on her work with the dragons"

" ah yes thank you Thora, we were all so worried about dear Thora, now you were saying gifts? And who are these dragon riders behind you?"

" this is valka, Cheif hiccups mother and the wife of stoic the vast, next to him is Cheif hiccups wife Astrid and the second dragon rider, and this-"

" it's nice to meet you Cheif Grimm, my names cheif hiccup."

Grimm backtracks a bit at the talk and skinny man in front of him shocked that this man tamed a night fury, he quickly collects himself smiling shakeing hiccups hand.

" sorry Cheif Grimm but our gifs are kinky for Thora and her wedded, not for the village or you, but if you want to you can see who we brought along as well, only if Thora and ebbe are ok with it that is?"

Soon after speaking the rest of the village was dismissed, a few stayed behind such as Thora, Ebbe, Cheif Grimm, Olaf his freinds and his little brother.Olaf and his freinds went first each getting swords with a dragon symbol and matching holsters, Toki however had gotten a small dagger infused with poison from one of the more... dangerous dragons. The group quickly thanked them and left to go practice, soon valka speaks handing them their gifts,

" Thora, Alayah made you scale armor, with throwing knifes as well, similar to the one Toki has but it's made of the mother dragons scales so it should never break, ebbe she worked closely with our armor smith and made an armor for you like Thomas it's light but strong and fireproof, a matching axe with it."

" my mother also wanted me to give you something Thora, she said it's a good luck talisman for you and she wants you to pass it onto your son when he needs it as well, it's like the one our family has it only has one notch in it for your son though, your dagger should work if you want to add another"

" Chief Grimm? Is it ok of we bring another dragon? Alayah insisted we bring her and convinced her to come to meet Thora and ebbe."

" o-oh yes I don't see why not another dragon about that size should be fine I don't see why not."

Valka nods and steps away from the group everyone watching her before banging her staff three times and letting out a sharp sheer whistle causing the dragons to stiffen except for toothless who just got excited and started to wiggle his tail, a cloud covers the sky before moveing shortly after it wasn't untill they saw the shadow grow when they realized this dragon was not small at all. A landing that shakes the ground lets everyone know frigg has arrived and they look in awe but Cheif Grimm in fear, frigg looks down at Thora and ebbe smoke comeing out of her nose as she huffs before bowing her head a bit lower to get closer to them. Thora was the first to move slowly her eyes with wonder ebbe tried to grab her but she shook his hand off quickly. When she got close enough valka held out her hand and Thora took it, frigg knew what she was doing it's basically a greeting to all humans and dragons these days. Soon frigg bows and places her shout against thoras hand.The process was repeated with Ebbe and after she was interduced to them while they looked at her.

" this is frigg, the mother dragon and the biggest one we have on the island, Alayah insisted we take her with us wanting the both of you to meet her, convinceing frigg herself to go with as soon as she could after the attack"

"Wow, Alayah told us about Frigga, but I didn't realize how... beautiful she would be in person."

The rest of the day continues with ease and eventually the dragons and Frigga leave to the hidden world until further notice, it was agreed by the elders of the dragons and the humans that we would stay hidden until the world is ready for us again. Hiccup will visit every ten years or so and in return I will switch my time between berk and the dragon world, to keep up with both worlds and stay in contact with my family who live in new berk. All is well for now and it's peaceful on earth without others worrying and hunting my kind anymore, hopefully we will return but for now everyone will hide in one way or another.
