First impression

I watched them for a bit longer, until they lay down and it's silent, toothless making sure that they don't fall asleep completely, I softly crawl out of my cave making sure to walk right between hiccup and his mother heading to the lake. I do my normal routine and see that my wounds have healed well but my wings are very slow in healing. Hearing a wolf howling about a mile away I think nothing about it and start to walk back that is until I hear toothless growling, realization hits me and I start running back to the camp. Slowing down as I get closer I realize that they are being backed up against the mountain side near my cave, thinking fast i run out in front of them Letting out a loud roar, spitting fire, growling, and chasing the pack out of the camp.

I turn around and look at hiccup and his mom, and instinctively I crouch down in fear. softly hiccup speaks calming words and inches closer

"hey it's ok we don't want to hurt you"

Once he gets close enough he reaches out a hand I hesitate looking over to toothless and seeing his encouraging look I sniff his hand getting a whiff of dragons, ink and leather. I reach my nose into his hand feeling his soul and calming down at the peace and kindness it emitted. Letting my muscles relax I purr softly, his mom comes over to inspect me and I eye her warily. Gently she touches me on my shoulder and softly gasps, soon looking at my wings noticing the healing tears, petting me softly on the side as she coos.

" oh dear you poor thing, can't fly without risking loosing it forever, fairly old, older then me by some years hiccup, she's healthy enough lots of scars though a type of night fury by the looks of it."

"She?"

"Yes hiccup this very rare dragon is a female"

Nodding he looks at me and I smile not showing my teeth because that can be seen as a threat.

" ok so now that we met her we should stay the night here and leave tomorrow morning to head back to the village, and since she can't fly without damaging her wings farther we have to walk"

His mom nods and gets ready for bed as does hiccup and toothless, I make a fire circle closest to toothless and farthest away from hiccup and his mom and lay down slowly drifting to sleep.

Hearing some rustling and the smell of fish I wake up groggily looking around I see that hiccup is packing his stuff and putting it onto toothless and his mom is cooking breakfast. After they get ready hiccup climbs onto toothless and valka onto cloud jumper (I learned their names last night via toothless) we make the treck back, taking most of the morning and us getting there around high noon. I stayed behind them trying to make myself smaller my nerves getting to me Toothless looks at me with a silent question and I assure the young one that I'm alright with a coo.

We arrive and people start congregating around us hiccup and his mother get off their dragons and I stand behind cloud-jumper. Hiccup shoos everyone away asking someone to round up his friends and meet in the great hall for a meeting, we take a path that's less crowded towards what I assume is the great hall, a giant cave carved into the side of the mountain giant oak doors with carvings of the Norse gods, Thor and Loki along with Odin and his wife frigg. We were the only people there when we entered and I split off from the group looking around, the smell in here was...interesting a mix of wood, old meat, sweat and dragons mixed together in a unsavory smell. I loop around the giant room eventually ending up back at the entrance.

While scoping the room I realized they the group of people I saw the night I was stealing fish and had to make a get away, they was here and talking to hiccup, making my way closer sneaking up behind them their dragons nowhere in sight. Hiccup seeing me kept talking until I got into my position behind the group I rise to my full height standing a big  40 ft and 7in standing (50 if you include the tail) around the size of an young ancient dragon, the dragons that were with the riders did nothing when they appeared as toothless said not to give anything away to them, ending up waiting on the side of the room. i stood behind four of them with my size a chubby boy with wisps of a mustache, a girl with who looks like the boy next to her and a particularly burly boy with no humbleness the way he was taking. soon hiccup sas the thing i wanted to hear,

"guys i'd like you to meet the new dragon."

there's a pause and nobody turns around, soon the burly boy behind to speak,

"haha hiccup thats really funny, unless the dragon can turn invisible or is really small there's nothing here"

breathing heavily downwards, the air rustles their clothes and hair of the four making them all tense up and freeze. the girl on the end closest to the burly boy who talked turns and looks at me her eyes widen as she backs up to stand next to hiccup. slowly everyone does the same with more or less the same reaction. that is until the chubby boy starts to fangirl about me spouting off dragon knowledge about classes and powers. he faints after that and i suppose the shock showed on my fave beacause everyone laughed even the outher dragons. I stand on all fours back to my comfortable position my wings still tucked tightly behind me to protect them.

" hiccup he's one of biggest dragons we've ever seen he must be ancient look at the scars their all over, Odin's beard hiccup!"The blond angry one walks around me And I watch her the whole time she circles me as she talked her hand reaches up to touch my wings and I move away swiftly growling at the child. Now everyone's shocked watching me and trying to figure out what made me snap at her.

" oh uhh-don't touch her wings they were damaged recently and they are still healing, mom says it was probably wolf attack or something like that, and it's she not he"

"Oh sorry, she's beautiful, maybe we should take her to the dragon healer so they can check her wings and any wounds she has"

" sounds good we'll bring her down to the dragon stables the healer should be down there."

" what should her name be?-"

" something terrifying like death or-"

" uuugggh shut up she's a girl she should have something like chaos-"

The twins ruffnut and tuffnut I've herd them be called, start to literally bash heads as we walk through the streets it being a little hard because of my size but minimal damage is done.

" I think she should have something like skinner with those nails, her attack stats are increased with their sharpness and when she can fly she must be one of the fastest dragons-"

Scrunching my nose at the thought of the names I huff not likening any of them, as we near a cave I hear a faint sound. I pause my ear flaps perking up as I try to tune into the sound. I pay no mind to the children around me as my ears pick up the sound of arguing and the smell of fear. A low rumble sounds in my chest as I take off lumbering towards the sound. Confused sounds coming from behind me, I quickly make my way towards the sound of angry shouting and the smell of a woman's and a child's fear a smell that I know well. It brings me to a tavern near the edge of the island a man drunkenly shouting at a woman and her child shoving the woman to the ground, he was in front of them and I came up behind the woman. His shouting doesn't waver as I barrel torwards him stopping in front of the woman and her child. When he sees me he pales in fear, looking at my back to see if I have a rider to control me, fat chance buddy nobody controls me.

Bowing my head to look him in the eyes I wrap my tail around the woman who is pregnant with closer inspection and her young child, moving them farther behind me so I don't harm them. He backs up grabbing an ax from nearby and stumbling back as I walk forward. I growl showing my teeth, telling him that this is a threat, soon his drunken self stumbles and he falls onto his back still holding his ax out with his hands, the cold steel shines as i rip it from his hands with my teeth splitting the metal like goats butter. Anger in my eyes shows for threatening a woman and her children I ought to burn his head off. But instead I place a big paw over his body trapping him and getting up close deciding not to kill him Only to terrify him I open my mouth and hear shouts of horror and hiccup telling me to stop before I let out a long deafening roar into his face, the smell of pee coming to my nose afterwards. Letting him go from under my paw with a final glare i grumble as I walk over to the woman and her child.

crouching down to be less intimidating to the child, as they look nervous before I start to sniff around for injuries, the child giggling when I snuffled her hair and stomach tickling her with my nose, the woman gently placing her hand on my head when I checked her stomach, no injury's were smelled though some bruises would most likely be left from the fall. I softly purr at the two happy that they are okay, I feel a presence walking next to me and I turn and growl at them instinctively blocking the woman and her child from the male.

" woah there girl, it's ok it's just me calm down I need to check on her for a minute, is that okay?"

Narrowing my eyes at hiccup i reluctantly step aside still watching him warily as he checks in with the woman and her children, the woman explaining that her husband is an angry drunk and it's not the first time this has happened though she loves him he is not the same man she once married. Hiccup nods and sends him to their cells so he can sober up and have a trial with the village to see his fate. I watch as he is dragged away from the area my body relaxing now that he's gone. I'm soon distracted as hiccups hand pats the side of my head,

" you did a good job girl"

The woman comes to the other side of my head and I shift my body a bit closer to her. The child playing on my paw quickly retracting my sharp nails as to not harm her leaving a harmless paw.

"What is her name my chief? Where did you even find her?"

" she was found this morning, we were tracking her for awhile though she lived in a cave system a ways away from here, found out she's the one stealing fish from us at night, tho she doesn't have a name yet"

" could I give a suggestion my chief? I think that what she did today was the gods work, and I feel frigg would be proud of her bravery, frigg would be a great name to honor her."

I let out a purr at the suggestion I've never had a dragon name given to me, Sure I have my human name but never a dragon one it would be an honor to be named after the goddess. Another pat on my head lets me know that they got the message.

" I think she agrees helam, frigg it is"
