YOUR P.O.V.

I listened to everything he’d worked on. it was so amazing how hard he’d worked on his music. He rapped over existing beats and had his own form a few producers and what they’d sent him.. but he did it all on his own. Without his brother or dad’s help. But after that song and even a few others, I just.. I looked at him differently. 

Y/N- *blinks twice* Wow…

Diggy- *looks at you* What do you think?

Y/N- It’s just… wow. You’re good

Diggy- *laughs to himself*

Y/N- *touches his hand* I’m serious. You have talent, don’t let it slip away from you

Diggy- *smiles* Thanks..

Y/N- I really believe in you Diggy. I really do.

DIGGY’S P.O.V.

Diggy- *looks at her*

I was nervous about showing anyone what I’d been working on.. it’d been months.. maybe even years that this was going. I didn’t expect Y/N to even say it was good. But she.. she believed in me. She was the only person who’d ever said that to me. None of my girlfriends ever had… none of them had even listened to my music or been taken down here. I knew I made the right choice with her.

Diggy- *walks in the kitchen with you* You hungry?

Y/N- Just a little. *sits at the island*

Diggy- *takes food out of the pantry*

Y/N- Dig..

Diggy- *turns around* Hm?

Y/N- *pauses* Why did you show me your songs?

Diggy- *closes the pantry* Because I wanted to share what meant the most to me with someone closest to me

Y/N- *smiles* That’s so sweet..

Diggy- *opens the chips* *offers you some* 

Y/N- *takes some and eats them*

Jermaine- *walks in the house* *sees you and smiles* What you still doing here? Thought you were going to the movies?

Y/N- *eyes widen* Oh my God, I completely forgot about that… Andre’s gonna kill me *grabs her bag and phone*

Jermaine- Tell me if he tries, I’ll sort him out

Diggy- *looks at him weird* 

Y/N- *laughs a little* Thanks.. and thanks Dig.

Diggy- *smiles at you*

Y/N- *leaves*

Jermaine- *turns to Diggy* Too bad huh? *leans on the counter*

Diggy- What?

Jermaine- *shrugs* She’s taken… married even.

Diggy- *looks at him and pauses* Why do you care?

Jermaine- Well.. me and her.. wouldn’t be so bad

Diggy- *laughs a little* I doubt that

Jermaine- *raises his eyebrow* And you think you have a chance?

Diggy- You don’t know her like I do

Jermaine- I don’t have to. I just know the right things to say.. and do *grabs a chip and leaves*

Diggy- *glares at him*

YOUR P.O.V.

*later on at the movie theatre*

Andre- *finds your seats and sits down* 

Y/N- *sits beside him* I’m so sorry I forgot

Andre- *laughs* Babe, it’s nothing. There’s always other movie we can see, like this one

Y/N- But you really wanted to see that one

Andre- No.. *puts his arm around you* I wanted to be with you *kisses your cheek*

Y/N- *smiles*

*lights dim*

Andre- *whispers*  Where were you anyway?

Y/N- *whispers* At Diggy’s. He was just showing me some new songs and hanging out.. that’s all

Andre- Even if that’s all, I’m not comfortable with you around him

Y/N- *looks at him* You can’t exactly say that when you have all your female friends around you.

Andre- And I’m not sure about your guy right there. He needs to keep a distance *sits more comfortably* Besides, what songs did he play?

Y/N- *pauses for a while* Just.. normal songs. *thinks*

*after the movie*

Andre- *walks out holding hands with you*

Guy- *bumps into Andre and spills his drink on him* *laughs a little*

Andre- *looks down on his shirt* *punches him in the face* *hits him repeatedly*

Y/N- *covers her mouth* Andre what the hell?! 

Andre- *stand sup and breathes deeply* *tries to hold your hand*

Y/N- No, get off me. Get the hell off me. *walks out*

Andre- Y/N! *runs after you*

Y/N- *walks to the car*

Andre- *grabs you* Y/N, come on..

Y/N- No, that’s it. I’m so done with you

Andre- *looks at you weird* What?

Y/N- You can’t just go around hitting people! You’re crazy, that’s so fucking crazy

Andre- Did you see what he did? He laughed!

Y/N- Doesn’t mean you have to.. *sighs* I’m not even talking about this anymore. I’m done. I thought you were changing for the better, but every time, it’s just another lie *opens the car door*

Andre- Baby, please..

Y/N- No, don’t. *gets in and drives off*

*a month later*

I hadn’t spoken to or seen Andre in weeks. He respected my space and myself for once, often begging in texts and calls for me to come back home, but I just focused on myself. I stayed with my friend and classmate Mia who was back in town. She helped me out with everything and even came with me to Jay’s house party tonight.

Diggy- *walks up and hugs you* So glad you could make it..

Y/N- *smiles* This is my friend Mia

Diggy- *hugs her* Nice to meet you.

Mia- I’ll leave you two alone.. *smirks and walks away*

Diggy- So.. you haven’t heard from him?

Y/N- *shakes her head* So we’re on a break

Diggy- *smiles* At least you look great

Y/N- *blushes* Shut up..

We talked for the whole night.. even danced and just enjoyed each other’s company, he made sure my cup was never empty. He wanted me to have fun. It was really Jermaine’s party, since his album sold over a million in a month. He had all his friends I recognised from music here too.. Wale, Trey Songz and I think I saw Kendrick Lamar here too… I wasn’t too sure. I was a little drunk…

Y/N- *walks in the kitchen* *pours herself a drink*

Jermaine- *walks in* There you are.. I’ve been looking for you all night

Y/N- *turns around* Hey… *hugs him*

Jermaine- *kisses your cheek and checks you out* You look so fine right now

Y/N- *laughs* Please.. but congratulations. You must be so happy

Jermaine- I’m happier now I’m talking to you

Y/N- *smiles*

Jermaine looked… so much more attractive to me right now. The way he looked at me, bit his lip and spoke to me like I was a queen. It got me. He reminded me of Diggy. I don’t know why or how, but when I looked at Jermaine, I felt like I was looking at Diggy..

DIGGY’S P.O.V.

Diggy- *sighs* *looks at Spin* She’s around here somewhere.

Spin- Relax.. you’ll find her. 

Diggy- She’s so amazing, you’ll love her. 

Mia- *giggles* Diggy’s sprung!

Diggy- *laughs a little* Feels like it

Spin- *pats his back* Let’s go grab something while this song plays. *walks away with him*

Diggy- *walks towards the kitchen* I swear as soon as I find her, I’m gonna.. *stops in his tracks* *mouth drops*

Y/N/Jermaine- *making out*

Spin- *sees you and Jermaine kissing*

Jermaine- *looks up* *laughs a little and looks at them*

Y/N- *sees Diggy* *face drops* Oh God.. *covers her mouth* 

Diggy- *clenches his fist* *shakes his head and walks away*

Jermaine- *chuckles under his breath* 

Spin- *looks at you* *follows Diggy out*

Y/N- Diggy, wait! *sighs and looks down*
