Two souls . 二つの魂

"What's wrong, Sukuna?"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Inside Naomi's soul, the world was nothing but endless darkness, except for the lone figure standing in the distance.

The Buried Sun.

She stood there, her form radiant yet haunting, golden eyes burning like dying embers. Chains wrapped around her arms and legs, binding her in place, but there was something terrifying about her presence—something that even Sukuna could feel.

He narrowed his eyes, stepping forward. "Two souls in one body... how interesting."

The Buried Sun turned her head, her gaze settling on him. She smiled—not out of warmth, but of knowing. "You're finally here," she murmured, voice like a whisper of fire.

Sukuna scoffed. "It seems I underestimated the girl." He glanced around the void, sensing Naomi's soul entangled with this cursed existence. "I expected a fight, but it seems like I've already won. She let me in willingly."

The Buried Sun's smile didn't waver. "Did you?"

Sukuna felt a flicker of irritation but quickly masked it with amusement. He studied her, taking in the burning chains, the weight of her presence. She wasn't just some lingering soul.

She was something ancient. Something powerful.

And most importantly—something hungry.

A slow grin spread across his face. "You've been trapped here for so long, haven't you?" He took another step closer. "All that power, all that rage, but nowhere to go. What a shame."

The Buried Sun tilted her head. "Are you trying to make a deal with me, King of Curses?"

Sukuna chuckled. "A deal? No. I'm simply stating the truth." He gestured to the chains that bound her. "You want freedom, don't you? Naomi... she's weak. She hesitated. She wanted to save everyone. But you... you don't need to hesitate."

His voice lowered, smooth and coaxing. "Why not take what you want? Kill them all. Burn the world down. It's what you were meant to do, isn't it?"

For the first time, the Buried Sun's expression shifted. The flickering rage in her eyes burned brighter, the chains rattling around her as if reacting to his words.

Sukuna grinned. He was getting closer.

The Buried Sun remained silent, her golden eyes flickering between Sukuna and the fragile body lying between them—Naomi's body.

She was still there, barely clinging to her existence, her face pale, lips parted slightly as if she had been whispering something before she collapsed into this void.

Sukuna followed her gaze and smirked. "Pathetic, isn't she?" He walked closer, standing beside the Buried Sun as he looked down at Naomi's motionless form. "She tried so hard to fight, so hard to save those she loved, and what did it bring her? Nothing but suffering."

The Buried Sun remained still.

Sukuna tilted his head, studying her carefully. "Tell me... how long have you been waiting?" he mused, his voice smooth, enticing. "How long have you been buried beneath her? Drowned in her weakness, her hesitation, her humanity?"

The air around them crackled, the chains around the Buried Sun quivering.

He smirked, sensing her unrest. Good.

"You felt it, didn't you?" Sukuna continued, voice laced with knowing. "When Gojo died. When Naomi shattered. You knew it was the perfect moment. The perfect time for you to take over." He leaned closer, voice a whisper. "And yet... you hesitated, just like her."

The Buried Sun didn't respond.

But Sukuna saw it—the flicker of doubt, the slight tremor in her bound hands.

"You don't have to hold back anymore." His voice curled around her like smoke, dark and persuasive. "You and I... we're the same. We both know this world is cruel. We both know power is the only thing that truly matters. So why hesitate?"

He stepped in front of her now, forcing her to look at him directly. His four crimson eyes gleamed with dark amusement.

"Lend me your strength," Sukuna said, his voice dripping with certainty. "Let me show you what true freedom is."

The Buried Sun said nothing, her gaze lowering to Naomi once more.

She looked so small, lying there between them. A girl who had carried too much, who had fought with everything she had, only to fall.

The chains rattled again, a slow, agonizing sound. Sukuna waited, watching, knowing he had already begun to sink his claws into her.

The only question now was—Would she break?

The battlefield was drenched in blood, rubble, and desperation. The sky above was a swirl of dark clouds, the air heavy with the scent of death and scorched earth. Yuji, Megumi, Yuta, Maki and others stood together, their bodies battered but their resolve unshaken. Before them stood Sukuna—no, not just Sukuna. The monster had taken Naomi's body, and her form, now twisted by his overwhelming power, radiated a suffocating aura that sent shivers down their spines.

Sukuna's four eyes gleamed with amusement as he looked at them, his lips curling into a wicked smile. "Come then," he taunted, raising a hand. "Show me your last struggle."

Without hesitation, Yuta moved first. With a sharp flick of his katana, he unleashed a devastating slash reinforced by Rika's cursed energy, aiming straight for Sukuna's neck. But before the blade could land, a massive wall of water erupted between them, the force of it strong enough to send Yuta skidding backward.

"Water—?!" Maki barely had time to react before a gust of violent wind followed, sharp as blades, cutting through the air like a storm of razors. She dodged swiftly, twisting her body mid-air, but even with her superhuman reflexes, thin cuts appeared on her arms.

Megumi clenched his fists. This isn't just Sukuna's power...

Yuji, gritting his teeth, charged forward. He dodged a blast of fire that Sukuna summoned with a flick of his wrist, the scorching heat burning away the ground beneath them. Yuji jumped, aiming a Black Flash directly at Sukuna's chest.

But Sukuna merely smirked. The flames warped, forming into a dragon of fire, and roared straight toward Yuji.

"Yuji!" Megumi shouted, his hands forming a quick shadow sign. Max Elephant!

The massive shikigami burst forth, a tidal wave of water crashing against the fire dragon, creating an explosion of steam. Yuji landed, coughing from the heat, but before he could move, a pillar of ice erupted from beneath him, nearly impaling him.

He barely leaped away in time.

"He can use all four elements?" Yuta muttered, his grip tightening on his sword.

Sukuna chuckled, watching them struggle. "You fools actually believed you had a chance?" He raised a single finger, and the battlefield itself responded. The earth cracked, frost creeping along the surface, while the wind howled like a storm. Sparks of lightning crackled at his fingertips, a storm of destruction waiting to be unleashed.

"We need to take control of the field—now!" Nanami shouted. he rushed in, dodging another wave of wind blades, his cursed tool gleaming in the dim light. he closed the distance, appearing right in front of Sukuna, swinging his sword with all his strength.

But Sukuna barely tilted his head, and with a casual flick of his wrist, ice formed along his blade, slowing him down just enough—

That's when Megumi appeared behind him.

Chimera Shadow Garden!

Darkness spread across the battlefield, engulfing Sukuna's feet in an abyss of shadows. The Ten Shadows moved at once—Nue struck from above, piercing through the storm of wind; Max Elephant unleashed a tidal wave of water; a swarm of Divine Dogs lunged for his throat.

For a brief second, it seemed like the overwhelming attack would land.

But then—Sukuna raised his right hand. The air around them became heavy.

Then, in an instant— Fire, wind, ice, and water exploded outward from him at once, tearing through the shikigami, sending Megumi flying back, slamming into the rubble.

Yuji barely had time to react before Sukuna appeared in front of him, his flaming fist colliding with Yuji's stomach. The force of the punch cracked his ribs instantly, launching him backward with a sickening crash. Yuta moved fast, his sword glowing with cursed energy, aiming for Sukuna's head—

But Sukuna caught the blade with two fingers. Yuta's eyes widened in horror.

"You're all wasting my time," Sukuna mused before sending a pulse of wind energy so powerful it sent Yuta hurtling into Maki. The four of them collapsed, panting, bleeding, struggling to stand. Sukuna stood tall, unscathed, looking down at them with amusement.

"Come now," he said, voice dripping with mockery. "This can't be all you have."

The battlefield had turned into an abyss of destruction, the air charged with residual cursed energy so dense it felt like suffocating under a collapsing sky. Blood painted the cracked ground, bodies barely moving as warriors struggled to rise. And standing amidst it all, towering above them like a god of ruin, was Sukuna—wearing Naomi's face, wielding Gojo's power.

A cruel smile stretched across his lips as he tilted his head, sensing his newfound strength. "Limitless, Six Eyes—what a beautiful gift," he mused. He lifted his hand and, without warning—

A massive, invisible force crashed down upon them. Blue. A condensed singularity of space itself imploded, dragging in everything nearby—shattered buildings, debris, even the blood in the air—before bursting outward in an eruption of raw destruction.

The warriors scattered. Maki gritted her teeth, dodging at the last second. "Shit! He's using Gojo's techniques now?!" Yuta landed beside her, his sword dripping with cursed energy. "If he's got Limitless, that means his defenses are—"

"Near invincible."

Their heads turned to Hakari, his body bruised but eyes burning with determination. His Domain Expansion had ended, and his Jackpot wasn't back yet. But he wasn't backing down.

"Then we just have to break it," Kinji Hakari said, rolling his shoulders. He turned to Choso, who was breathing heavily but still alive. "You up?"

Choso wiped blood from his mouth, his blood crackling. "Tch. Like you even need to ask."

Sukuna chuckled. "How amusing." Then he vanished. In a blink, he reappeared right in front of them—

"RED." A devastating shockwave of repelling force obliterated everything in its path. The explosion sent Hakari, Choso, and Maki flying, their bodies crashing through the ruined battlefield.

Uraume appeared beside Sukuna, their icy breath curling in the air. "Shall I handle them, my lord?"

"No need." Sukuna turned, his six glowing eyes flickering. "I want to enjoy this."

"DON'T FORGET US!"

From behind, Choso unleashed a barrage of Piercing Blood, the high-velocity cursed blood cutting through the air like bullets. At the same time, Miguel and Larue charged in—Miguel's whip crackling with cursed energy while Larue's domain-controlling abilities twisted space itself, attempting to counter Sukuna's Limitless.

Sukuna simply smiled.

He raised a hand—and space itself twisted.

In an instant, Choso's blood attacks were erased, Miguel's whip was torn apart, and Larue's domain was crushed into nothingness.

"Pathetic."

But then—

"Simple Domain!"

A shockwave erupted as Miwa, Kasukabe, and Ui Ui launched an attack together. Miwa's New Shadow Style: Bato Sword gleamed as she lunged at Sukuna, her sword striking true— Only for the attack to stop inches away from his throat.

"Did you think Simple Domains could counter me?" Sukuna whispered before grabbing Miwa's wrist—Miwa screamed as her arm twisted in a direction it wasn't supposed to go. "Miwa!" Kirara yelled, using their cursed technique to try and pull her back—

But it was Inumaki who reacted fastest. "DON'T MOVE." His voice thundered with cursed energy, freezing Sukuna's body for half a second. Half a second was enough. Hakari's Domain Expansion: Idle Death Gamble—JACKPOT! A burst of cursed energy exploded from Hakari as he rushed forward, slamming his fist into Sukuna's face, sending him skidding backward. Sukuna wiped the blood from his lip, grinning. "Now, that's more like it."

Suddenly— "Megumi!"

Yuji's desperate voice cut through the battlefield. Everyone turned. Lying on the ground, gasping for breath, was Megumi—his body barely clinging to life, his eyes glazed over. It was the first time they had truly seen him since Sukuna left his body. Megumi was free. But Naomi was gone.

Sukuna stood before them, his stolen body burning with power, eyes filled with pure malice. "Now then," he said. "Shall we end this?"

The battlefield was drowning in crimson and ruin. Smoke and dust choked the air, the ground shattered from the sheer magnitude of cursed energy unleashed. The warriors stood, bloodied but unyielding, facing the one who had taken everything from them. Sukuna. Or rather—Naomi, possessed.

Her black and red robes swayed as he stood atop the ruins, his six glowing eyes scanning the battlefield with satisfaction. He tilted his head, sensing the remnants of their strength, the defiance still burning in their battered bodies. "You're all still standing?" Sukuna chuckled, voice laced with mockery. "Foolish. Even if you land a hit, what then? Do you think you can kill me?"

Yuji stepped forward, fists clenched, his knuckles split open from the sheer force of his previous attacks. "You're not Naomi." His voice was steady, but his eyes trembled. "And we're going to get her back."

Sukuna's grin widened. "Then come, brat. Let's see you try."

And just like that— The fight erupted. The students surged forward, each one igniting the last remnants of their strength. Maki rushed in first, her Heavenly Restriction allowing her to cut through the air like a blade itself. She ducked Sukuna's swipe, twisted mid-air, and slashed at his ribs with the Split Soul Katana— It landed. For the first time, Sukuna staggered. A clean cut tore through his side, and black blood splattered onto the ground.

"Huh?" Sukuna looked down, intrigued. "A katana that cuts the soul itself. How interesting."

But before he could retaliate—

"PIERCING BLOOD!"

Choso unleashed a barrage of cursed blood bullets, each one spiraling through the air with deadly precision. They struck Sukuna's arms, his shoulder, his leg—tearing through flesh, leaving trails of crimson in their wake. Then Yuta appeared. A deep wound opened across Sukuna's chest, Yuta's cursed energy-imbued blade sinking into his flesh.

A ripple of cursed energy burst from the wound, causing Sukuna to actually step back. Hakari, still in Jackpot Mode, followed up. "You're wide open!" His cursed energy-coated fist collided with Sukuna's face, sending the King of Curses crashing into the debris.

And then—

A massive gust of wind erupted as Todo dashed forward, lightning crackling in his wake. "Die, demon." A single strike pierced through Sukuna's stomach, electricity surging through his entire body—paralyzing him, even if only for a second. Sukuna gritted his teeth. For the first time since this fight began— He looked irritated.

"...You gnats."

The moment the paralysis wore off, he retaliated.

"Blue."

An invisible force crashed into Maki, sending her flying so fast her body skidded across the battlefield like a ragdoll. "Fire Arrow." A burning spear of flames materialized and shot through Yuta's chest, scorching everything in its path.

"Dismantle." A slash so fast it cut through the very air itself—Yuji barely dodged, but blood still splattered from the deep cut on his arm. Sukuna laughed, reveling in the chaos.

"You can land your little hits, but you can't kill me." His six glowing eyes flared, cursed energy pouring out like a tsunami of pure destruction.

That's when Megumi moved. He had been watching. Watching as his friends, his allies, his family—fought against Naomis possessed body.

His entire being screamed at him to move, but his body was weak, his soul fractured. But this—this was not the time to be weak. He had always been strong for others. For Tsumiki. For Gojo. For Yuji.

But never for Naomi. And now—

Now he might lose her, too.

Memories flashed in his mind. Naomi, as a child, smiling at him when they first met. Naomi, chasing after him, never giving up. Naomi, confessing she loved him, and him, never giving her the answer she deserved.

'I... I never protected her the way I should have.'

He had been too caught up in his own grief, his own regrets, his own burdens— He had pushed her away. And now, here she was, trapped inside her own body while Sukuna used her like a puppet. No more. Megumi stood up.

His shadow flickered beneath him, black tendrils of cursed energy bursting forth like flames.

"SUKUNA!"

Sukuna turned, amused. "Ah, finally ready to join the fight, boy?" Megumi stepped forward, his eyes sharp, his voice steady.

"Let her go."

Sukuna's smirk widened. "Or what?"

"Or I'll rip you out of her myself."

Megumi raised his hands. "Domain Expansion—CHIMERA SHADOW GARDEN!"

The battlefield was swallowed in darkness. And within that endless abyss of shadows, Megumi felt it— The hands of his friend reaching for him. And for the first time, he didn't run away.

Instead, he reached back.

And he held on.

Sukuna stood amidst the wreckage, his six cursed eyes gleaming with malicious glee. Blood dripped from his wounds, but he felt no pain. If anything, he was amused. The battle had been entertaining, but it was beginning to bore him. He had toyed with them long enough. It was time to end it.

With a slow, deliberate motion, he raised his hand and aligned his fingers into a precise formation—one that had once belonged to a man who stood above all. The technique had been a force of nature in that man's hands, capable of leveling anything in its path. Now, it was his. Power crackled around him as he activated the technique.

"Hollow Purple."

The battlefield trembled as the air split apart under the sheer force of the converging cursed energy. A swirling void of Red and Blue began to form in his palm, expanding with a deadly hum. The pressure built until it became unbearable, the technique reaching its peak.

And then—nothing.

The energy flickered. Dissipated. Vanished.

Sukuna's expression darkened, his fingers twitching as he tried again. The cursed energy should have been his to command. The technique had been carved into his very being when he took this body. There was no reason for it to fail. And yet, the power refused to manifest.

Impossible.

His eyes sharpened, scanning inward, searching for any interference. That was when he saw her.

Naomi.

She stood within the depths of his own soul, her long hair flowing, her presence unwavering. But it wasn't just her being there that threw him off. It was the smirk playing on her lips—mocking, defiant, unafraid.

"What's wrong, Sukuna?" she asked, her voice laced with amusement. "Did you really think I'd let you take my body so easily?"

Sukuna's eyes narrowed. He hadn't expected her to remain conscious, let alone resist. "Tch," he muttered, his voice a low growl. "You're resisting?"

Naomi took a step forward, arms crossed, eyes burning with determination. "What did you expect?" she said. "You're in my body. You may have gotten in, but this isn't yours to control."

For the first time, Sukuna felt a sliver of annoyance. No—something deeper. A presence. A lingering force within her soul, something that shouldn't have been there. Something impossibly strong.

His six eyes flickered but not clear anymore , scanning her cursed energy, tracing the source of her defiance. For the briefest second, he saw it—a trace of something unmistakable, something that should have been gone.

A phantom of limitless cursed energy. A presence he had seen before. A presence that should have died.

And for just a moment, the King of Curses hesitated.

Sukuna's eyes sharpened as an eerie sensation crept up his spine—something he hadn't felt in centuries. A presence, distant yet unmistakable, stirred within the depths of Naomi's soul. The air around him grew heavy, suffocating in its familiarity. Then, just beyond the swirling void of cursed energy, he saw it—a silhouette standing tall, bathed in ethereal light. The outline of a man with snowy white hair and an unbreakable grin.

For the first time since his resurrection, the King of Curses felt something dangerously close to dread.

Gojo Satoru is alive.
