"See? Even Mr. Edgelord over here had his moments."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The three students stood at the train station, waiting for their mysterious new classmate. The station was buzzing with people coming and going, but none of them seemed remotely as interesting as whatever Gojo had planned for them.

Yuji was bouncing on his feet like an overexcited puppy, Naomi leaned lazily against a pillar, twirling a loose strand of her hair, and Megumi, as always, stood slightly apart, arms crossed like the brooding protagonist of an anime.

Gojo, of course, was being dramatic as ever. He sighed dreamily, throwing his arms wide. "Ah~ The fresh scent of youth! With the four of you together, you'll be the strongest team ever!"

Naomi squinted at him. "There's four of us now huh?"

Yuji immediately pointed at her, eyes wide. "Wait—you can count?!"

Naomi gasped, placing a hand on her chest. "Of course I can! I just choose not to!"

Megumi shut his eyes for a long moment, probably reconsidering all of his life choices. "Why do I even bother with you two?" he muttered.

Before Gojo could bless them with another one of his wise teacherly speeches, a loud commotion broke out nearby.

"LET GO OF ME, YOU PERV!"

They all turned just in time to see a girl with bright orange hair physically assaulting a random man. She smacked him with her bag so hard he nearly fell over, then followed up with a sharp jab to his ribs.

Yuji blinked. "Whoa. Is she mugging that guy?"

Naomi tilted her head. "Looks more like a self-defense class gone wrong."

Gojo's eyes sparkled with delight. "Oh! There she is!"

Megumi deadpanned. "Are you sure we shouldn't... stop her?"

Gojo waved him off. "Nah, this is part of her charm."

Meanwhile, Yuji and Naomi had already accepted this as their new normal.

Yuji grinned. "I like her energy."

Naomi nodded approvingly. "Yeah, she fights like me when someone steals my fries."

Megumi pinched the bridge of his nose. "I am literally surrounded by idiots."

Finally, after one last smack for good measure, the poor guy stumbled away, looking like he'd just escaped a death sentence. The girl huffed, flipping her hair back into place before turning her gaze to the group. She scanned them over with a critical eye before settling on Gojo.

"Oh. You're that crazy teacher."

Gojo gasped, clutching his chest dramatically. "Such cruelty upon first meeting! My delicate heart!"

She ignored him completely and turned to the first-years, sizing them up like she was judging their entire existence.

Yuji grinned and held out his hand. "woah You punch really hard!"

Naomi beamed. " I like your attitude! Let's commit crimes together!"

Megumi sighed. "Stop saying that."

The girl smirked. "Kugisaki Nobara. And I don't commit crimes." She tossed her bag over her shoulder. "Unless, of course, it's fashion crimes—which, by the way, some of you are guilty of."

Her eyes flickered to Megumi's all black, moody aesthetic.

Megumi blinked. "What's wrong with my clothes?"

She shrugged. "Nothing. If you're trying to cosplay as an overworked salaryman at age fifteen."

Yuji and Naomi lost it, doubling over with laughter.

Gojo clapped his hands together. "Ah, I knew you kids would get along~"

Megumi looked into the distance, wishing he could be anywhere but here.

Megumi muttered under his breath, "Why am I surrounded by idiots?"

She ignored him completely and turned to the first-years, sizing them up.

As Nobara scanned her new classmates, she immediately began analyzing them with the precision of a seasoned critic.

Yuji: Looks like the type of guy who ate his boogers as a kid and thought it was a personality trait. Too much energy. Annoying but might be fun. 6/10.

Megumi: The broody, silent type. Definitely the kind of guy who listens to sad music in the rain and pretends it's aesthetic. Probably reads poetry and tells people he "relates" to it. 4/10.

Naomi: ...Is she lost? Like, did she take the wrong train and just end up here? Why does she look like she still believes in Santa? I don't trust it. 2/10, because I feel bad.

Naomi gave a little wave. "Uh, hi?"

Yuji grinned. "Yo! I'm Itadori Yuji!"

Megumi sighed. "Fushiguro Megumi."

Naomi smiled nervously. "Gojo Naomi."

Nobara blinked. "Wait... Gojo?"

Naomi nodded.

Nobara glanced at Gojo, then back at Naomi. Then back at Gojo. Then Naomi.

Nobara: "Damn. Must suck to be related to him."

Naomi, with dead eyes: "You have no idea."

Gojo pouted. "Hey! I'm the best brother in the world."

Megumi scoffed. "That's a low bar."

Yuji, whispering to Nobara: "He literally kidnapped me into this school."

Naomi, whispering: "I was emotionally blackmailed."

Nobara sighed. "Well, this is my new team, huh?"

Naomi gave her a nervous wave. "Uh... nice to meet you?"

Nobara folded her arms. "I'll be honest, I was expecting people way cooler than this."

Gojo gasped dramatically. "EXCUSE ME, I handpicked them myself!"

Megumi muttered, "That explains a lot."

Yuji just grinned. "Hey, we're cool! Right, Naomi?"

Naomi, who was still trying to process the overwhelming personality that was Nobara, hesitated. "Uhh... sure?"

Nobara clicked her tongue. "Yeah, no. You guys look like a bad group project waiting to happen."

Gojo clapped his hands together, completely ignoring Nobara's sass. "Alright! Time for our super fun school trip!"

The four first-years blinked at him in confusion.

Yuji tilted his head. "Wait, what?"

Naomi perked up. "We're going somewhere fun?"

Gojo beamed. "Yup! I'm taking you all on a tour! A nice little outing to bond~"

Megumi narrowed his eyes immediately. "What's the catch?"

Gojo chuckled, giving an innocent wave of his hand. "Oh, nothing~ Just a nice, educational field trip!"

Naomi's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Wait... like to an amusement park?"

Gojo smiled mischievously. "Sure, let's go with that."

The three first-years actually got excited at the idea.

Yuji grinned. "Maybe we're going to Kyoto or something!"

Naomi gasped. "Ohhh, maybe an anime site!"

Nobara crossed her arms. "If this isn't shopping-related, I'm going home."

Meanwhile, Megumi, being the only one with functioning brain cells, still looked highly suspicious. "This feels like a trap."

Gojo slung an arm around him, giving a dramatic sigh. "Oh, Megumi~ Don't be so paranoid! Trust your sensei."

Megumi's face remained blank. "I do not trust you."

Gojo, as usual, ignored him completely and led them toward their "fun" destination.

About an hour later, the car rolled to a stop, and Gojo cheerfully gestured for them to get out. The students stepped outside... only to be met with the sight of a cursed, abandoned building looming over them.

The moment their feet hit the pavement, Naomi, Yuji, and Nobara froze.

Naomi's hopeful expression slowly drained. "...Where are the roller coasters?"

Yuji looked around in dismay. "This is... not Kyoto."

Nobara, completely deadpan, crossed her arms. "This is literally an exorcism site, you liar."

Gojo grinned from ear to ear. "SURPRISE!~"

Megumi sighed, already feeling exhausted. "I knew it."

Yuji turned to Naomi, grabbing her shoulders dramatically. "NAOMI, WE'VE BEEN BETRAYED."

Naomi shook him back, eyes wide with mock betrayal. "I KNOW! I TRUSTED HIM!"

Nobara cracked her knuckles and took a threatening step toward Gojo. "Sensei. Be honest. Did you lie to us?"

Gojo gasped, placing a hand over his heart like she had just wounded him. "Lie? Me? Nobara, I am offended!"

Megumi, not even looking at him, muttered, "You absolutely lied."

Gojo sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Okay, fine—it's not an amusement park. Technically. But look on the bright side!"

Yuji raised an eyebrow. "What bright side?"

Gojo grinned. "It's character-building! Plus, you guys get to exorcise curses, which is way more fun than roller coasters!"

Naomi threw her hands in the air. "I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!"

Yuji groaned. "I knew it was too good to be true..."

Nobara crossed her arms, looking unimpressed. "I can't believe I should  bring my hammer. I could've hit you instead of the curses."

Gojo ignored her and clapped his hands together again. "Alright, alright, enough complaining! Time to get to work! Let's go, my adorable students~"

Megumi rubbed his temples as Naomi, Yuji, and Nobara all exchanged looks of pure regret.

Naomi groaned. "Worst field trip ever."

Nobara cracked her neck. "Fine. But if we survive this, you owe me a shopping trip, Gojo."

Gojo waved them forward with an exaggerated flourish. "You got it! Now chop chop—curses aren't gonna exorcise themselves!"

Yuji sighed. "This is gonna suck, isn't it?"

Gojo ignored him. "Okay, okay, I may have slightly exaggerated. But think of this as a learning experience! You get to show off your skills in front of each other~"

Yuji groaned. "Can't we have a normal orientation?"

Gojo: "Nope! Now, off you go! Have fun in the haunted house~"

And with that, their "school trip" turned into their first real exorcism mission

As the four of them stood outside the creepy, abandoned building, Gojo clapped his hands together. "Alright, kiddos! Time for your first real mission! Yuji, Nobara and Naomi,  join in —"

"NOPE."

Gojo blinked. "Huh?"

Naomi had already taken three steps back, clutching onto Megumi's sleeve like her life depended on it. "No way, absolutely not. I refuse. I'm NOT going in there."

Gojo sighed dramatically. "Naomi, you need to start training—"

"Yeah, sure, just NOT in a literal horror movie setting."

Yuji turned to her. "C'mon, Naomi, it'll be fun!"

Naomi shot him a look. "You also said it was an amusement park. And look where we are now."

Megumi muttered, "I don't blame her."

Gojo patted Naomi's head, ignoring the way she flinched. "Alright, fine. You and Megumi sit this one out. Nobara, Yuji—you're up!"

Nobara sighed. "Finally. Let's get this over with."

As the two entered the building, the eerie silence settled in, and inside, Nobara glanced at Yuji. "So..."

"So?"

Nobara smirked. "Is she always like that?"

Yuji tilted his head. "Like what?"

"Y'know, scaredy cat."

Yuji laughed. "Ohhh, you have no idea. She's a total wimp."

Nobara raised an eyebrow. "How bad are we talking?"

Yuji chuckled. "Let me tell you how she entered Jujutsu High."

Yuji leaned in conspiratorially. "So, imagine this. It's the first day of training. Megumi and I are ready to go, pumped up! And Naomi? She thought we were just learning about curses."

Nobara snorted. "She didn't think she'd actually fight?"

"NOPE." Yuji grinned. "And the moment Gojo told her she'd be doing actual training, she looked like she was about to pass out."

Naomi, horrified: "W-Wait, WHAT? You mean I have to fight those things? With my own hands?"

Gojo, smiling: "What did you expect? A PowerPoint presentation?"

Naomi, completely serious: "YES."

Back in the present, Nobara was wheezing. "No way—"

Yuji grinned. "I swear on my life. The moment she saw her first training curse, she actually screamed, flailed her arms, and ran in the opposite direction. And that was just the practice dummy."

Nobara burst out laughing. "Oh my god, this is great."

Yuji wiped a fake tear. "She's improved since then, but man, it was a journey. At one point, Megumi had to physically drag her back while she was kicking and screaming."

Naomi, being dragged by Megumi: "NOOOO, I'M JUST A NORMAL HIGH SCHOOL GIRL, I DON'T BELONG HERE!!"

Megumi, deadpan: "Too late. You're already here."

Naomi, clinging to a tree: "YOU CAN'T MAKE ME."

Megumi: "Unfortunately, I can."

Back inside the building, Nobara wiped away tears from laughing too hard. "Okay, okay—so she's afraid of curses but still joined the school?"

Yuji shrugged. "Yeah! She wants to get stronger and all. But, y'know, she screams first and then fights later."

Nobara smirked. "Hah. I'm definitely going to mess with her."

Yuji grinned. "Get in line. Megumi and I have already started."

And with that, the two continued deeper into the cursed building—while outside, Naomi sneezed.

Megumi looked at her. "Someone's talking about you."

Naomi huffed. "If it's Yuji, I swear I'm going to throw hands."

As Yuji and Nobara disappeared into the cursed building, the three remaining people sat outside in an awkward silence.

Naomi was hugging her knees, watching the building as if it would explode any second. Megumi sat beside her, looking as uninterested as ever. Gojo, on the other hand, had his arms behind his head, looking completely relaxed.

"So..." Gojo drawled, turning toward Naomi. "You're really just gonna sit here like a little kid waiting for their mom at the grocery store?"

Naomi shot him a glare. "Yes. Yes, I am."

Gojo smirked. "Aw, come on. You're making your big bro look bad."

"Your big bro is bad," Megumi muttered under his breath.

Naomi coughed, trying to hide her smirk.

Gojo ignored his comment and leaned forward. "So, tell me, Naomi. Why exactly are you scared?"

Naomi blinked. "Huh?"

"You're afraid of curses, but why?" Gojo tilted his head. "They look gross? They're dangerous? Or is it just the whole 'oh no, spooky monster' thing?"

Naomi frowned. "...All of the above?"

Gojo chuckled. "Figures." He reached out and flicked her forehead lightly. "You're gonna have to get over that, y'know."

Naomi pouted, rubbing her forehead. "That's easy for you to say, Mr. 'Strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer.'"

Gojo hummed. "Fair point. But let me ask you this—do you think Megumi was scared of curses when he started?"

Naomi turned to Megumi. He met her gaze, then looked away. "...Yeah. A little."

Gojo grinned. "See? Even Mr. Edgelord over here had his moments."

Megumi sighed. "I was aware of how dangerous they were. That's different from screaming and running away."

Naomi huffed. "Wow, thanks for the support."

Gojo laughed. "Look, it's normal to be scared. But here's the thing about fear—it only controls you if you let it."

Naomi raised an eyebrow. "That's...very philosophical of you."

Gojo shrugged. "Well, I am a teacher."

Megumi muttered, "Could've fooled me."

Gojo ignored him. "Fear isn't a bad thing, Naomi. It means you understand the risk. But if you let fear control your actions, you're already at a disadvantage."

Naomi sighed. "...Yeah, I know."

Gojo leaned back. "That's why I want you to get stronger—not just physically, but mentally too. If you keep running from your fears, you'll never move forward."

Naomi looked down at her hands, deep in thought. "...So what do I do?"

Gojo smiled. "Take small steps. Face your fears bit by bit. And most importantly—" He ruffled her hair, earning an annoyed whine from her. "—trust yourself."

Naomi groaned, pushing his hand away. "Ugh, you're so annoying when you try to be wise."

Gojo grinned. "It's part of my charm."

Megumi rolled his eyes. "More like part of your problem."

Naomi chuckled. For the first time since they got here, she felt a little lighter. Maybe, just maybe, she could learn to face her fears after all.

The three of them continued waiting outside, Gojo looking as carefree as ever, Megumi checking his phone, and Naomi anxiously watching the cursed building, half-expecting it to blow up.

And then—

A low, gurgling sound echoed from above them.

Naomi blinked. "What was that?"

Megumi glanced up, then let out a small sigh. "It's a curse."

Naomi's stomach dropped. "A what?"

Gojo grinned and pointed up. "Look."

Naomi hesitantly followed his finger—only to see a disgusting, slimy, with only one arm flying curse hovering right above them.

Her entire soul left her body.

With a shriek, she immediately latched onto Gojo's back, gripping his jacket for dear life. "WHAT THE HELL, WHY IS IT FLYING?!"

Gojo barely reacted, just tilting his head back slightly. "It's kinda small. Not a big deal."

"NOT A BIG DEAL?!" Naomi screeched, practically climbing onto his shoulders. "YOU CAN'T JUST SAY THAT LIKE IT'S NORMAL!!"

Megumi pinched the bridge of his nose. "Can you not make a scene?"

"THERE IS A CURSE FLOATING IN THE AIR, MEGUMI—"

Before Naomi could continue her panic attack, the curse suddenly exploded.

Naomi flinched, peeking out from behind Gojo. "H-Huh?"

From the entrance of the cursed building, Nobara stood, her hammer casually resting on her shoulder. "Tch. Annoying."

She tossed a nail into the air, catching it effortlessly.

Naomi just stared.

Gojo chuckled. "Well, that was fast."

Megumi sighed. "I should've known."

Nobara walked towards them, her expression unimpressed. "Seriously, that thing was so weak. What a waste of time."

Then, her eyes landed on Naomi—who was still clutching onto Gojo like a terrified child.

Nobara raised an eyebrow. "Wait. You were scared of that?"

Naomi flushed. "W-Well, yeah! It was flying!"

Nobara stared at her for a long moment, then smirked. "Oh, you're worse than Yuji."

Naomi gasped. "HEY!"

Gojo laughed. "Looks like you two are gonna get along great."

Nobara ignored him and flicked her hair over her shoulder. "Anyway, I took care of that thing. Let's go."

Naomi, still recovering from her near-death experience, mumbled under her breath. "She's crazy..."

Megumi sighed. "You have no idea."

Gojo just smiles patting Naomi's head, "Let's get some food shall we?"

"Yay Let's go!!" Naomi jumps joining the first years who walked ahead and jumps on Yuji's back.

"Show the same enthusiasm in training." Megumi whispers seeing the active first year.

"Ahh let her be Megumi! She will shock us eventually." Gojo says casually walking with hands in his pocket.

Megumi looks at Naomi who is now pulling Yuji's hair as Nobara kicks his butt. He looks at Gojo before walking ahead-Sensei is hiding something.
