"Because unlike you, I don't see her as a disappointment. I see her as my sister."

Gojo, Megumi, and Yuji were sitting in one of the classrooms at Jujutsu High, the sun casting soft golden hues over the wooden floors. The atmosphere was calm—too calm, considering Gojo's usual energy. Yuji was stuffing his face with snacks while Megumi sat with his arms crossed, looking disinterested but still paying attention. Gojo, with his signature smirk, leaned back on his chair, feet propped up on the table.

"So, boys," Gojo started, stretching his arms, "I have some exciting news for you."

Yuji perked up. "Oh! Are we getting a new special-grade weapon? Maybe another training trip?"

Gojo shook his head. "Nah, something even better. You see... Naomi's joining Jujutsu High!"

Yuji froze mid-bite, his eyes wide. "Wait, WHAT? Naomi-chan is becoming a sorcerer?! That's so cool!" He looked at Megumi, expecting him to share the excitement.

But Megumi's expression darkened instantly. His hands tightened into fists on his lap as he processed what he just heard. "...You're joking."

Gojo gave him a knowing smile. "I joke a lot, but this isn't one of those times."

Megumi stood up abruptly, his chair screeching against the floor. "That's a terrible idea." His voice was sharp, his usual composure shaken. "She doesn't have cursed energy. She doesn't belong in this world."

Gojo tilted his head. "Oh? And who are you to decide that?"

Yuji glanced between them, feeling the tension rise. "I mean... I get where Megumi's coming from, but if Naomi-chan wants to join, she must have a reason, right?" Megumi scoffed, glaring at Gojo. "You convinced her, didn't you?"

Gojo sighed dramatically, waving a hand. "Nope. It was all her. She asked me if she could join."

Megumi clenched his jaw. "Then you should've told her no."

Gojo's teasing smile faded slightly, replaced with something more serious. "Megumi, she wants to get stronger. She doesn't want to be left behind anymore." Megumi exhaled sharply, rubbing his temples. "This isn't a joke. This isn't volleyball. She could die."

Gojo placed a hand on Megumi's head, ruffling his hair like he was a little kid. "That's exactly why she's joining. To make sure she doesn't." Yuji, who had been silent for a moment, grinned. "Hey, I think it'll be fun! Naomi-chan's already strong in spirit. And with you and Gojo-sensei around, she'll be fine, right?"

Megumi shot Yuji a look before sighing in frustration. He knew arguing with Gojo was pointless. And deep down... a part of him knew Naomi wouldn't back down once she had made up her mind. Still, it didn't stop the uneasy feeling settling in his chest.

Gojo, sensing Megumi's hesitation, gave him a soft but knowing smile. "You'll be there to watch over her too, y'know?"

Megumi's fingers curled into fists. He knew that.

And that was exactly what scared him the most.

After Gojo dropped the news, Yuji had been practically bouncing off the walls, while Megumi sat at the table, his arms crossed, sulking like a cat that had just been forced into a bath.

"I can't believe Naomi-chan is gonna be our classmate!" Yuji grinned, pumping his fists. "This is gonna be so cool! We can train together, eat together, and fight together! Maybe she'll even get her own technique someday!" Megumi groaned, rubbing his temples. "She doesn't even have cursed energy."

Yuji waved him off. "Didn't stop me at first! And look at me now!"

"That's literally not the same thing," Megumi shot back.

Gojo, leaning against the desk with his signature smirk, chuckled. "Megumi, I didn't know you cared so much~"

"I don't," Megumi muttered, scowling.

Yuji suddenly gasped dramatically. "Wait... are you jealous?!"

Megumi's head snapped up. "What?"

"You're jealous that Naomi-chan's gonna get all my attention now, aren't you?" Yuji accused, pointing at him like he had just uncovered the world's greatest conspiracy.

Gojo clapped his hands together. "Ohh, that makes sense! Megumi doesn't want to share his beloved Yuji with his dear childhood friend~"

Megumi's eye twitched. "I swear—"

Yuji grabbed Megumi by the shoulders, shaking him slightly. "Don't worry, Megumi! I'll still have time for you!"

"Let go of me."

"You're so tsundere, man. Just admit it, you care about her~"

"Shut up."

Gojo laughed, pulling out his phone. "Man, I should record this. This is the best day ever."

Megumi let out a deep sigh, feeling his patience slip away. Naomi hadn't even started school yet, and he could already feel a headache coming.

And he just knew it was going to get worse.

Naomi had been peacefully sipping her juice box, lounging on the Jujutsu High couch, completely unaware that her life was about to change forever. Gojo sat across from her, casually spinning his sunglasses in his fingers, Megumi was staring at his phone like he was mentally preparing himself, and Yuji... well, Yuji looked like he was about to explode with excitement.

"So, Naomi~" Gojo started, his tone suspiciously sweet.

She narrowed her eyes. "...Yes?"

He grinned. "How do you feel about, say... becoming a sorcerer?"

Naomi blinked. "I don't."

"You do now!" Gojo clapped his hands.

There was a long pause. Then—

"EXCUSE ME?!" Naomi choked on her juice, coughing violently. "What do you mean, 'I do now'?!"

"Oh, did I forget to tell you?" Gojo feigned innocence, tilting his head. "Oops~"

Megumi sighed, rubbing his temples. "You absolutely did not forget. You did this on purpose."

Gojo ignored him. "Anyway, surprise! You're now a student of Jujutsu High, which means training starts—" he checked his watch dramatically, "—oh wow, in about ten minutes."

Naomi's entire body tensed. "I—WHAT?!"

Yuji, still grinning, nudged Megumi. "She kinda sounds like you when Gojo tells us we have a surprise training session." Megumi muttered, "Now she understands my suffering."

Naomi was still trying to process what had just been said. "So you're telling me... I'm joining this school today, with no procedures. and you're going to make me fight curses... and I start training TODAY?"

Gojo beamed. "Yup!"

Naomi stood up so fast her juice box flew out of her hands. "I'M NOT READY! I HAVEN'T MENTALLY PREPARED! I HAVEN'T EVEN BOUGHT A COOL UNIFORM YET! I CAN'T EVEN PUNCH PROPERLY!"

"Don't worry, you'll learn~" Gojo waved off her concerns.

"No, no, NO—this is a big deal! You can't just drop life-changing news on me and expect me to—"

"Alright, let's go, training time~" Gojo interrupted, grabbing her by the arm and dragging her toward the training field.

"WAIT—NO—HELP—SOMEONE CALL CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES—"

Yuji, watching the scene unfold, leaned toward Megumi. "You know, this is kinda hilarious."

Megumi crossed his arms, letting out a tired sigh. "She's your problem now."

Gojo's father observed his son with measured silence. He exhaled through his nose, setting aside the documents he had been reading. "You're here about Naomi," he stated rather than asked.

Gojo grinned, but it lacked its usual arrogance. "You know me too well, old man."

Gojo sat across from his father, his usual easygoing grin nowhere to be found. The tension in the air was thick—so thick it felt like the whole room was pressing down on him. But his father, as always, remained composed.

"She stays with me," Gojo said, voice firm.

His father exhaled slowly, as if he had been expecting this. "Satoru... she belongs here. This is her home."

Gojo leaned forward, his hands clasped together. "You mean the cage you built for her?"

His father sighed. "Satoru, Naomi belongs here. She is a Gojo. She must be raised within the clan, surrounded by discipline and tradition—"

"—Surrounded by a bunch of people who see her as nothing but a failure?" Gojo cut in, his tone sharp. "People who think she's useless just because she wasn't born with Six Eyes or Limitless?"

His father's gaze hardened. "You and I both know that in our world, power is everything. Naomi has none."

Gojo clenched his jaw, a rare flicker of anger flashing across his face. "That's not her fault."

His father's expression darkened slightly, but he didn't retaliate. Instead, he merely said, "You think you're doing what's best for her?"

Gojo scoffed. "Oh, I know I am."

His father's eyes narrowed. "And you think you can protect her better? You, who is constantly on missions? Who is constantly making enemies?"

Gojo leaned forward, placing his hands on the desk between them. "Yes," he said, unwavering. "Because unlike you, I don't see her as a disappointment. I see her as my sister."

A heavy silence stretched between them. Then, his father closed his eyes, tilting his head slightly. His fingers drummed against the wooden desk—a habit he had when he was unsettled.

"I suppose it was bound to happen," he muttered.

Gojo frowned. "What?"

His father ignored him, his gaze distant.

"She can see them now, can't she?" he finally said, almost like he was speaking to himself.

Gojo's eyes narrowed. "Yeah. And?"

His father sighed, rubbing his temple. "Then it's already begun."

Gojo's annoyance wavered for a moment. Something about the way his father spoke—like there was something bigger at play, something he wasn't saying—made his stomach twist.

"...You knew this would happen," Gojo realized.

His father said nothing.

Gojo clenched his jaw. "What aren't you telling me?"

Still, silence.

His father finally turned his gaze to Gojo, his expression unreadable. Then, in a voice that was too calm, too controlled, he said:

"If you take her there, be prepared for what comes next."

Gojo didn't respond right away. He could feel it—that lingering fear in his father's words.

But Satoru Gojo wasn't the type to back down from fear.

He stood up, placing both hands in his pockets. "Guess I'll just have to handle it."

His father didn't stop him as he left, but as Gojo walked away, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was something much bigger lurking beneath the surface.

''I have to meet that old man." Gojo thought as he walked through the corridors.

And for the first time in a long time, his father looked afraid.

Naomi had never felt pain like this before. Every muscle in her body ached, and even blinking felt like it required too much energy. She was sprawled out on the common room couch, groaning dramatically into a pillow while Yuji sat beside her, looking way too cheerful for someone who just went through the same training.

"Come on, Naomi! It wasn't that bad," Yuji said, nudging her shoulder.

She weakly lifted her head, her face twisted in pure betrayal. "I got thrown into the ground five times... I have bruises in places I didn't even know could get bruised."

"Yeah, but it was cool! You almost landed a hit on me at one point!" Yuji grinned.

Megumi, sitting nearby with his arms crossed, scoffed. "She tripped over her own foot and fell. That doesn't count."

Naomi groaned again, letting her head drop back onto the couch. "Megumi, I will haunt you when I die. Which will be soon, by the way."

That was when Gojo walked in, sunglasses perched lazily on his nose, and clapped his hands together. "Well, well, well! If it isn't my dear little sister, experiencing the magic of jujutsu training for the first time." He crouched down next to her, grinning. "You had fun, right?"

Naomi lifted her head again, her face completely deadpan. "I despise you."

Gojo gasped dramatically, placing a hand on his chest. "How cruel! And here I thought you wanted to be strong!"

"I did," Naomi muttered, "until I realized that getting strong means getting bodied by every person in this school."

Gojo ruffled her hair playfully. "Oh, don't be so dramatic. It was only your first day! You'll get the hang of it in no time."

Yuji nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! You just need to practice more."

Megumi sighed. "Or accept that this was a mistake and go back to volleyball."

Naomi weakly lifted her arm and threw a pillow at him. It barely made it halfway before falling to the ground.

"Pathetic," Megumi muttered.

Gojo suddenly stood up, his usual mischievous grin widening. "Well, lucky for you, dear sister, you don't have to do any more training today!"

Naomi perked up. "Really?"

"Yep!"

She sighed in relief.

"...Because tomorrow, we're starting at 5 AM!"

"Naomi's not breathing!" Yuji panics poking her cheeks."

Gojo clapped his hands together with a smug grin. "Alright, kiddos! Tomorrow, we are off to pick up our fourth first-year student. Try to be nice, yeah?"

Naomi tilted her head. "Wait, there's another one?"

Megumi crossed his arms. "You'll regret asking."

Yuji laughed. "Oh, this is gonna be fun."
