Prologue . 序章

November 13th 2004

The moon hung low over Jujutsu High, its pale glow casting long shadows across the quiet campus. A crisp November breeze rustled through the trees, sending dried leaves tumbling across the stone pathways. The school was mostly asleep—except for a certain few who had just returned from a mission.

Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru stepped into the faculty building, both looking slightly worn. Dirt clung to the edges of their uniforms, and a faint scratch lined Geto's cheek. It wasn't anything serious—nothing ever was, when Gojo was around. But something had been... off tonight.

Utahime found them first.

"Satoru." Her tone was sharper than usual, laced with something between concern and irritation. She'd been searching for him for a while.

Gojo, still stretching his arms over his head, groaned. "Sheesh, I just got back, and you already need me for something? I should start charging for my time."

Before Utahime could bite back, Shoko appeared in the hallway, sipping from a canned coffee. "Oh good, you found them."

Then Nanami and Haibara joined, both looking serious.

And finally, Principal Yaga arrived, arms crossed, gaze expectant.

A heavy silence settled.

Geto sighed. "Alright, alright. You're all clearly here for a reason." He shot Gojo a glance before speaking. "You should know—Satoru's powers didn't work properly in the mission today."

A shift in the air.

Shoko stopped drinking. Utahime frowned. Haibara's eyes widened slightly, while Nanami furrowed his brows.

"What do you mean?" Yaga asked.

"It was weird," Geto continued. "Infinity activated slower than usual. His reaction time was off. He didn't get hurt, obviously—"

"Obviously," Gojo chimed in, grinning.

"—but something was off," Geto finished. "And it wasn't exhaustion."

Everyone turned to Gojo.

He blinked at them. "You guys make it sound like I'm dying or something. I feel great."

Utahime narrowed her eyes. "You sure about that?"

"Duh." Gojo smirked, hands in his pockets, stepping forward with that usual air of confidence. "Maybe I'm just so powerful that my body's nerfing itself to give the world a chance."

Shoko snorted.

Nanami sighed.

Utahime rolled her eyes. "You are insufferable."

"Thank you~"

She crossed her arms. "And you're insufferable on a very important night, too."

Gojo raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Important how?"

Utahime smirked. "Well, let's see. Something very small happened."

"Uh-huh?"

"A new star has appeared in the vast sky of Jujutsu."

"A what?"

"A little miracle was woven into existence."

Gojo blinked. "Okay, you're talking like an old fortune teller. What's this about?"

Utahime grinned. "Let's just say... you're no longer the only one of your kind in the Gojo Clan."

Silence.

The words settled over him, like fresh snowfall—light at first, but soon an undeniable weight.

Gojo's lips parted slightly. His mind raced, heart thudding against his ribs.

Yaga sighed. "She means your clan just had a baby, Gojo."

Gojo's breath caught.

A baby.

A Gojo baby.

His baby sister.

For the longest time, Gojo had been the only one—the only Six Eyes user, the only bearer of the Limitless, the only honored one in his generation. He had never expected another. He had never thought there would be someone else.

His heart ached in a way he didn't know was possible.

"...A sister?" His voice came out softer than he intended.

Utahime smirked. "Mhm."

Shoko smiled. "Looks like you've been dethroned as the youngest."

Haibara grinned. "So you're a big brother now, huh?"

Nanami, arms crossed, muttered, "God help that child."

Geto just chuckled, nudging Gojo. "Didn't see this one coming, huh?"

Gojo swallowed, fingers tightening in his pockets.

A sister. His sister.

And then he grinned—slow and bright.

"She's gonna be awesome," he declared. "Like, ridiculously cool. And strong. And cute. I'll make sure of it."

Utahime rolled her eyes. "You're acting like she's your kid."

"She practically is! I'm gonna be her favorite person."

Nanami sighed. "She doesn't even know you yet."

"She will," Gojo said confidently. Then, pausing, he turned to Yaga.

"What's her name?"

Yaga lifted an eyebrow. "They didn't say."

Gojo stared.

A blank slate.

She was his baby sister, but she didn't have a name yet?

He should be annoyed—his clan never tells him anything—but instead, something inside him felt warm.

Because this? This was his choice.

Gojo tilted his head, glancing at the moon outside. His Six Eyes glowed faintly in the dark as a memory flickered through him—one of old books he read as a kid, stories of heroes and warriors, protectors and legends.

A name surfaced. One that meant beauty, honesty, and above all—strength.

He smiled.

"Naomi," he said.

The room went quiet again.

Geto hummed. "Naomi, huh?"

"Sounds elegant," Shoko said.

Haibara grinned. "It suits her!"

Even Utahime seemed pleasantly surprised.

Yaga nodded. "Naomi Gojo... It does have a strong ring to it."

Gojo exhaled.

Naomi.

His sister.

The first Gojo born after him.

The one person in the world who would share his blood, his name, and his legacy.

His heart swelled.

For the first time in a long, long time... he didn't feel alone.

He looked at his friends, beaming. "Well, looks like the world just got twice as lucky."

Nanami sighed again. "This is going to be a disaster."

But Gojo only laughed, grinning at the night sky.

Somewhere out there, his baby sister had just opened her eyes for the first time.

And one day, he'd be the first person she would call—

"Nii-chan."

The world had always felt... distant.

Even when he was surrounded by people, even when he fought alongside Geto, even when he laughed with Shoko or teased Utahime—there was always a part of him that remained untouched.

It wasn't something he could explain. He was the strongest, yes, but that strength came with something else—something heavier. A weight no one else could carry. No one could truly stand beside him. No one could ever understand what it meant to be him.

Gojo had accepted that.

He had accepted that he would always be alone.

And yet...

When Utahime spoke those words—when Yaga confirmed it—something inside him cracked.

A sister.

His sister.

His breath caught in his throat, chest tightening in a way that felt entirely new.

He wasn't the only one anymore.

For the first time in his life, there was someone else. Someone like him. Someone who shared his blood, his name, his existence. A tiny, fragile little life that had just entered the world—a life that would look up to him, rely on him, need him.

He had always been the Gojo Satoru, untouchable and alone.

But now... he was something else.

A big brother.

And the thought of that, of her, made his heart swell to the point of aching.

What did she look like? Did she have white hair like him? Would she have Six Eyes? Would she laugh like he did, smile the way he did? Would she be loud and annoying? Would she be strong? Would she—

Would she be safe?

His fingers twitched slightly in his pockets, the weight of his responsibility sinking in.

She was born into his clan. The same people who had only ever viewed him as a tool. The same people who had treated him like nothing more than a symbol of power.

Would they do the same to her?

A cold edge crept into his mind.

No.

No one was going to hurt her.

No one was going to use her.

She wasn't just a Gojo. She was his.

And he would protect her, no matter what.

He clenched his jaw before exhaling slowly, releasing the tension.

No need to get worked up yet.

Right now, she was just a tiny baby, probably crying her lungs out somewhere far away.

And God, he wanted to see her.

He wanted to hold her, to watch her little hands curl around his finger, to be the first face she recognized, the first voice she loved. He wanted to be there for her first steps, her first words—he wanted her to know, from the moment she could understand anything, that she would never be alone.

Not like he was.

A soft chuckle escaped his lips, his vision blurring slightly before he blinked the feeling away.

How funny.

For years, the world had felt too small for him.

And yet, with just one piece of news... it suddenly felt infinite.

Because now, he had something he never thought he'd have.

A family.

A reason to keep looking forward.

A sister.

Naomi.

And he already loved her more than anything.
