Chapter 2 ~ Departure
23:32, 29 May 2015Alex's POV"I'm sorry but I gotta go! Its gotten worse and....and I checked no...no heart beat!" "Please! Alex wake up! Wake the fuck up now!! " My sister yells shaking my lifeless body "I know you're in there! " she pauses "I love you!" Victoria says running out.
Gunshots are all I hear now.
I wake up with my body drenched in sweat. I get out of bed and clean myself up, that's when I hear a knock at the door "Alex, everything is packed up, you ready to go?" "Yup,ready!" I say opening the door, walking out bumping into Ricks shoulder "Sorry!" "No problem!" He says acting hurt. I laugh at his silly ness.
We pull up to what I guess is the police station Rick used to work at before the world went to shit.
"The station has its own water supply, so take showers if you need to." Rick says opening the door "A month without bathing, hmm Rick being dirty arnt'ch ya!" I joke "For being thirteen, you got some mouth kid." He jokes back. Everyone laughs.
We took hot, long, showers, it felt awesome! Rick filled a duffle bag reading 'sheriff' in bold yellow words, with guns and other useful things. Morgen and Rick exchanged walkie talkies, I don't know why because Rick told me to wait in the car. Speaking of cars, we've been in one for about an hour. I look over at all the cool gadgets, the blinkers, just everything, then my eyed wonder to the gas level "Rick its on E." I bring to his attention "Shit." He mumbles under his breath but clear for me to hear. We pull up to a little white house that has a big field along side of it. "You grab the can see if anyone I's home, I'll explore the lands " Rick says handing me the can.
I walk up to the house "Anyone home?,I'm not here to hurt you, I just need gas." That's when I saw it! Something so horrible my eyes cried out of horror! A man and a woman dressed in farmer cloths, blasted their brains out and on the wall it says 'God forgive us' written in blood. I swallow the puke that is bound to escape my mouth any second and walk away.
"No ga-" Rick smiles at me "Who's your friend?" I ask patting the huge, muscular horse "I call her Nelly! Hop on!" Rick says grabbing my hand pulling me up "Yeha!" And there she goes!
