Eighteen

Percy POV

Tears welled up in Annabeth's eyes and threatened to flow over as I said her name. But, Kronos didn't let me hang around much longer. He reached down and snatched me up from the ground and lay me across the horse. I struggled as I heard Annabeth sob and I struggled even more when cold metal clamped onto my ankles. Ankle cuffs. I wiggled around but Kronos just put one hand on my back and pushed me flatter against the horse. He made the horse go faster and soon we were riding to Olympus. As soon as we started to slow j looked up. There stood the Empire State Building in all its glory and a group of demigods surrounding it. They all gasped when they saw me. Kronos froze time and pushed his way through. He stopped at the doors. He slid off the horse and pulled me into his arms. He carried me to the elevator then grabbed the key card off the desk and inserted it into the slot. He pushed me into the elevator and I shivered at his touch. He walked in and unfroze time. The demigods rushed in to stop him and tried to open the elevator doors, but couldn't. Soon Kronos and I were on our way up to Olympus.

A little later the doors dinged open and Kronos picked me up and carried me to the throne room, but not without destroying things along the way. He pushed open the doors and set me down on something. That was his mistake.

He set me down on my dad's throne.
